The Thunder are going to be making their debut of the season on Thursday night against the Spurs, and we are strongly questioning what they are going to be able to bring to the table offensively without G James Harden. G Kevin Martin is going to have an impact on the team, but will he be able to step right in and do what Harden was able to do in his first start for the Rockets? It just really isn’t all that likely when push comes to shove. G Manu Ginobili might be sitting this one out for the Spurs with back problems, but that might not matter all that much. Sure, San Antonio is in the second night of a back to back in two different cities, but it is too early in the season to worry all that much about that. Keep in mind that San Antonio lost Games 3 through 6 of its playoff series with the Thunder last year, and it is going to be out for blood in the home opener to try to avenge that defeat. Don’t be all that shocked if the Spurs are ready for this one. They’ll win at any cost.

Thunder @ Spurs Pick: San Antonio Spurs -2.5
Thunder @ Spurs Final Score Prediction: San Antonio 105 – Oklahoma City 98

BovadaThe Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders and the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers are set to kick off their college football clash on Thursday 11/1, and I’m set to make my college football pick for the affair at Houchens Industries L.T. Smith Stadium. Kickoff is set for 9:15 ET, and I’ve got the perfect NCAA football pick for this outstanding clash.

Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders (5-3, 5-3 ATS) +9
Western Kentucky Hilltoppers (6-2, 7-1 ATS) -9
Over/Under 54

Points were at a premium last week when Western Kentucky beat Florida International, and that has probably dropped the ‘total’ in this game quite a bit. However, that game had to be played in wet conditions on a sloppy field after Hurricane Sandy flirted the Florida coastline, and that really has let this become a very, very favorable ‘over’ to play.

Between QB Logan Kilgore and QB Kawaun Jakes, there have been a heck of a lot of passes thrown and a ton of games both won and lost. If you take out the games against the teams from the Big Six conferences this year, the Hilltoppers are averaging almost 450 yards per game on the campaign to go with over 35 points per game. Meanwhile, throw out the game against the Mississippi State Bulldogs for the Blue Raiders, and they’re good for just about 450 yards per game as well, not to mention over 33 points per game.

Some recent history suggests plenty of points as well. There were almost 900 yards of total offense in last year’s 69-point effort between these two teams, and three years ago, there were right around 900 yards and 86 total points. It’s a great spot for a ton of points to go on the board for both sides, and that’s exactly what I think is going to happen.

Middle Tennessee vs. Western Kentucky Tips: Over 54

Making sports betting picks is one of my specialties, and today, I’m making my Thursday Football Tipster pick based upon the football trends and Week 10 college football odds for the Eastern Michigan Eagles vs. Ohio Bobcats game on Thursday, November 1st at 6:00 p.m. ET.

Eastern Michigan Eagles (1-7, 3-5 ATS) +17
Ohio Bobcats (7-1, 3-5 ATS) -17
Over/Under 58

I hate the MAC and hate it a ton, but this is a rare opportunity to make a big time play against the public to take the points in a game that could surprisingly be more competitive than one would think. Don’t let the 7-1 record fool you; the Bobcats aren’t nearly as good as that mark suggests, especially knowing that there isn’t a win quite yet this season against a team that is really all that great.

The Bobcats are coming off of their first loss of the year, and they might ultimately be looking ahead to next week’s massive showdown with Bowling Green instead of worrying about the Eagles. As we have seen over the course of the last few weeks, Ohio has played down to the level of the MAC, knowing that it has failed to cover four in a row against some very suspect teams. Eastern Michigan has been outgained by just a ton of yards this year though, and that makes it very difficult for me to want to back it.

Still, the Eagles have played better ball over the course of these last few weeks, and they are unlucky to not have covered three games in a row after last week’s loss to the aforementioned Falcons of Bowling Green. Don’t be all that shocked if QB Tyler Tettleton and the gang take this one lightly and play it close to the vest, and then come out with their hair on fire next week against the Falcons in a more pertinent spot.

Eastern Michigan @ Ohio Tips: Eastern Michigan +17

Making sports betting picks is one of my specialties, and today at Cappers Info, I’m making my Thursday Football Tipster pick based upon the football trends and NFL odds for the Kansas City Chiefs vs. San Diego Chargers game on Thursday, November 1st at Qualcomm Stadium at 8:20 p.m. ET.

Kansas City Chiefs (1-6, 2-5 ATS) +7.5
San Diego Chargers (3-4, 3-4 ATS) -7.5
Over/Under 42.5

As always is the case with a public game, the Chiefs and the Chargers are clearly going to be involved in a game where the ‘over’ is going to be king, yet we have not seen the NFL point spread move one iota over the course of the week. Why is that? Because this one probably isn’t going to get to the number.

I immediately throw out last week’s game for the Chargers against the Cleveland Browns, because the average NFL game isn’t played in conditions like those two had to play in. Still, San Diego is clearly a team that would prefer to run the football with RB Ryan Mathews, while Kansas City clearly is a team that would rather run it with RB Jamaal Charles, especially knowing that QB Matt Cassel may as well be considered a backup quarterback at this point, knowing that he is only playing because QB Brady Quinn was hurt after throwing four passes last week.

The Chargers and Chiefs have a history of playing low scoring games as well. This year’s first meeting featured 57 points, and I’m still trying to figure out how that happened with just over 600 combined yards in the game. Six Kansas City turnovers probably helped out the cause, knowing that the Chargers started three of their scoring drives in KC territory. Prior to that one though, four straight had stayed beneath the ‘total’, and the ‘under’ is also 6-3-1 in the last 10 overall in this series dating back to the end of the 2007 season. It’s an easy call for me to make.

Chiefs @ Chargers Tips: Under 42.5

The 2012 college football season continues this week, and here at Cappers Info, we’ll be looking at some of the best games on the docket each and every week, as we try to make the most money possible off of the CFB odds for the week. Week 10 College Football Picks: Virginia Tech Hokies @ Miami Hurricanes
Date: Thursday, November 1st, 7:30 ET
Location: Sun Life Stadium, Miami Garden, FL
CFB Betting Odds: Virginia Tech -2
Virginia Tech vs. Miami Live TV: ESPN

Miami and Virginia Tech have a great rivalry that has spanned the last few decades over the ACC and the Big East, but it isn’t all that often that both of these teams are just so irrelevant on the national scene. Still, in spite of the fact that the winner is going to be just 5-4 this year, that team will control its own destiny to get to the ACC Championship Game. QB Stephen Morris has really been gritty, playing through a ton of pain for a team that is beaten up both physically and mentally right now. That’s the type of play that we love to see out of quarterbacks. Meanwhile, Virginia Tech has really underachieved this year, and its defense, which was supposed to be one of the best in the game from a national standpoint this year, has allowed at least 27 points in all of its road games. It just isn’t a good recipe for the Hokies to be favored in this one, and we think that they are going to get whacked when push comes to shove in South Beach.

Virginia Tech @ Miami Pick: Miami +2
Virginia Tech @ Miami Score Prediction: Miami 30 – Virginia Tech 16

The 2012 college football season is back, and here at Cappers Info, we’ll be looking at some of the best games on the docket each and every week, as we try to make the most money possible off of the CFB odds for the week. Join us on Friday night, as we make our Washington Huskies @ California Golden Bears free picks and predictions for what should be a great clash on the gridiron.

Week 10 College Football Picks: Washington Huskies @ California Golden Bears
Date: Friday, November 2nd, 9:00 ET
Location: AT&T Park, San Francisco, CA
CFB Betting Odds: California -3.5
Washington @ California Live TV: ESPN2

If it looks like a fish and smells like a fish, there must be something fishy about it. Washington is coming off of its biggest win of the year, a 20-17 upset of the Oregon State Beavers last week. The team does have four losses, but those losses have come to the Oregon Ducks, LSU Tigers, USC Trojans, and Arizona Wildcats, all of which are ranked in the Top 25 in the land and two of which are in the Top 10. There really is no shame in any of those losses. Meanwhile, Cal is coming off of two bad losses to the Utah Utes and the Stanford Cardinal, and it has played a significantly easier schedule to date. In the end though, QB Zach Maynard is putting up significantly better numbers than QB Keith Price, and we don’t think that he is going to turn the ball over four times like QB Sean Mannion did last week. That’s why Cal is favored in this one in spite of what it looks like should be the case, and we think that Head Coach Jeff Tedford will keep his team’s bowl hopes alive with a win on Friday night in front of a national audience.

Washington @ California Pick: California -3.5
Washington @ California Score Prediction: California 34 – Washington 20
