Last night was the night that the Clippers really were shining. They were at home, they were going against what is perceived to be one of the best teams in the NBA in the San Antonio Spurs, and they came out and romped. Just one problem now. They have to go on the road tonight to take on a Portland team that is potentially stingy and certainly has a remarkable home court advantage. This is just the second home game of the year for the Blazers, and it is the first legit road game for the Clippers. The only time that Portland hosted a game this year was the upset of the Lakers in its first game of the season. Rookie G Damian Lillard is definitely a man to watch, as he has taken the NBA by storm over the course of these first few games of his career. If he can keep his emotions in check and keep control of the ball, the Blazers are probably going to cover their sixth game in the last eight in this series against the Clippers. This should be as easy of an upset as we see on the NBA docket.

Clippers @ Trail Blazers Pick: Portland Trail Blazers -1.5
Clippers @ Trail Blazers Final Score Prediction: Portland 102 – Los Angeles 95

Five of the last six in this series between the Thunder and the Bulls failed to reach the ‘total’, and a lot of those games never even came particularly close. Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook are both averaging over 20 points per game this year, but neither really has consistently put together those dominating efforts that we have come to expect on the offensive side of the court. Chicago doesn’t have any truly prolific scorers outside of the paint, and there is very little consistent threat for outside shooting. The problem with that? Scoring in the paint is going to be difficult with Serge Ibaka manning the paint for the Thunder. Ibaka hasn’t contributed offensively like Oklahoma City would have hoped, but he is still a shot altering beast defensively, and he should be able to really hold down whichever of the three of Joakim Noah, Carlos Boozer, or Luol Deng he ends up matched up against more often than not. This one just screams to be a game that only gets into the 180s, not the 190s.

Thunder @ Bulls Pick: Under 191
Thunder @ Bulls Prediction: Bulls 94 – Thunder 91

Making sports betting picks is one of my specialties, and today at Cappers Info, I’m making my Thursday Football Tipster pick based upon the football trends and NFL odds for the Indianapolis Colts vs. Jacksonville Jaguars game on Thursday, November 8th at EverBank Field at 8:20 p.m. ET.

Indianapolis Colts (5-3, 5-3 ATS) -3
Jacksonville Jaguars (1-7, 4-4 ATS) +3
Over/Under 42.5

I’ve said this time and time again. When it looks like a fish and it smells like a fish, especially if it’s a primetime game, there is probably something fishy about it. The Colts are favored by just a field goal when they take on the Jaguars this Thursday night, and the whole world – literally, like 78% of the world – is betting on them to cover this number.

I urge you to take another look at this game, though. The Jaguars have covered three in a row in this series, and that includes when these two teams met in Indy just a handful of weeks ago. Jacksonville pulled off the 22-17 upset. The Colts haven’t had all that many games where they have scored that much in this series of late, and Jacksonville has only lost one game by more than a touchdown in the last 11 tries.

On top of that, it really feels to me as though the Colts are just being overplayed right now in the media. They’re a 5-3 team that has had absolutely everything go spot on for them this year. I still don’t think that they are more than an 8-8 team, and that might be at best. I think that these two are a heck of a lot closer together than this NFL pointspread insinuates, and I wouldn’t be surprised when push comes to shove, if this is a game that goes to the hosts by a point or two.

Colts @ Jaguars Tips: Jacksonville Jaguars +3

The Florida State Seminoles and the Virginia Tech Hokies are going to square off in Week 11 of the college football betting campaign. Join us here at Cappers Info, as we make our predictions for football for what should be a great game on Thursday.

Week 11 College Football Picks: Florida State Seminoles @ Virginia Tech Hokies
Date: Thursday, November 8th, 7:30 ET
Location: Lane Stadium, Blacksburg, VA
CFB Betting Odds: Florida State -13.5
Florida State vs. Virginia Tech Live TV: ESPN

My dear Seminoles are on the verge of the ACC Championship, and with as badly as Maryland is playing, this is essentially for the ACC Atlantic Division title. QB EJ Manuel hasn’t truly played a bad game this year, something that QB Logan Thomas had done plenty of for the Hokies this year. However, what does have to be remembered is that Virginia Tech has gone 4-0 SU at home this year, and it is historically a team that wins a ton of games, especially under the lights right here at this venue. The season is on the line for the Hokies, who need to win two more games this year just to get to a bowl game, and the truth of the matter is that they probably just about control their own destiny to win the ACC Coastal Division as well. In this situation, there is just no way that we could lay this many points with Florida State, even off of a bye week.

Florida State @ Virginia Tech Pick: Virginia Tech Hokies +13.5
Florida State @ Virginia Tech Score Prediction: Florida State 21 – Virginia Tech 17

Making sports betting picks is one of my specialties, and today, I’m making my Thursday Football Tipster pick based upon the football trends and Week 11 college football odds for the Louisiana Monroe Warhawks vs. Arkansas State Red Wolves game on Thursday, November 8th at 7:00 p.m. ET.

Louisiana Monroe Warhawks (6-3, 6-3 ATS) +6
Arkansas State Red Wolves (6-3, 5-4 ATS) -6
Over/Under Off

Just as I’m going to be taking a shot against the Ohio Bobcats, a formerly ranked team that has gotten a lot of publicity this year, I’m going to do the same against Louisiana Monroe this week, which is going to get a lot of pub against Arkansas State. What is lost in the shuffle in this one is that the Sun Belt championship very well could be on the line, and the game is going to be overshadowed by the fact that the Florida State Seminoles are playing against the Virginia Tech Hokies at basically the same time on the same night.

Things have been going the wrong direction for the Warhawks over the course of the last few weeks. They were lucky to survive against the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers on the road in overtime, and they came back the next week and never really put away the South Alabama Jaguars in a 14-point victory. Then last week, they weren’t just beaten, but they were trounced by their rivals from up the road, the Louisiana Lafayette Ragin’ Cajuns by 16 points in a game in which they were outgained by 200 yards at home, no less.

Arky State is going in the other direction, covering back to back road games and winning both outright, scoring a total of 87 points in those games. QB Ryan Aplin is a star in Head Coach Gus Malzahn’s wild offense, and there just should be no keeping up with the Red Wolves. For as great as ULM has been this year, what is truthfully left is nothing more than an above average Sun Belt team with some talent, but not enough to consistently win the big games like this on the road.

Louisiana Monroe @ Arkansas State Tips: Arkansas State Red Wolves -6
