College football betting fans are running to their online sportsbooks to place their North Carolina Tar Heels vs. Virginia bets and predictions, and here at Cappers Info, we are making our Thursday football picks for this encounter.

Week 12 College Football Picks: North Carolina Tar Heels @ Virginia Cavaliers
Date: Thursday, November 15th, 7:30 ET
Location: Scott Stadium, Charlottesville, VA
CFB Betting Odds: North Carolina -6
North Carolina vs. Virginia Live TV: ESPN

Scott Stadium was alive last week when the Cavaliers found a way to beat the Miami Hurricanes at the death, and now, the place should be even more bananas for a Thursday night appearance on national television against the Tar Heels. This is a rough draw for North Carolina, which was just rolled up for 588 yards and 68 points by the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets last week. Now, before the team’s head even stops spinning from the triple option assault, the Heels have to hit the road on just four days of rest to take on the Cavaliers, who deploy two different quarterbacks and two totally different offensive styles. It’s just a bad game for sure against a team that absolutely has to have the win, and as long as RB Gio Bernard doesn’t end up going off for some ridiculous game (though he is quite capable of doing so), we see no reason why the Cavaliers aren’t going to keep their season alive with a third straight win to move them within a triumph next week over the Virginia Tech Hokies of making a bowl game.

North Carolina @ Virginia Pick: Virginia Cavaliers +6
North Carolina @ Virginia Score Prediction: Virginia 24 – North Carolina 17

BovadaThe Florida International Golden Panthers and the Florida Atlantic Owls are set to kick off their college football clash on Friday 11/16, and I’m set to make my college football pick for the affair at FAU Football Stadium. Kickoff is set for 8:00 ET, and I’ve got the perfect NCAA football pick for this outstanding clash.

Florida International Golden Panthers (2-8, 4-6 ATS) -1.5
Florida Atlantic Owls (3-7, 8-2 ATS) +1.5
Over/Under Off

The game between the two Sun Belt teams in the Sunshine State isn’t really expected to be all that pretty of a duel, but when push comes to shove, it could be an interesting game. Remember that this is only the fourth home game of the year for the Owls, who are one of the best cover teams in the nation this year at 8-2 ATS, and they really should be able to take care of their rivals from up the road in South Florida.

FIU has proven to be a wreck this year for sure. The team was never really able to break in a quarterback, a top receiver, or a new running back after all three leaders of this team from a campaign ago left the team. QB Jake Medlock does have 11 TDs and two picks, while RB Darian Mallary does have nine TD runs. But of course, there’s the matter of the defense, which has conceded 33.3 points and 420.9 yards per game against what has amounted to be a relatively tame schedule.

Not only has FAU gone 8-2 ATS this year, but it has eight straight covers after failing to cover the first two of the campaign. The Owls have played the tougher schedule, and they have gotten their offense together under QB Graham Wilbert, who has 14 TDs versus just three picks. In the end, I’m going to ride with the hosts on Friday night in the undercard game to keep their offense going with a fourth game out of five with 34+ points.

Florida International vs. Florida Atlantic Tips: Florida Atlantic Owls

The 2012 college football season continues this week, and here at Cappers Info, we’ll be looking at some of the best games on the docket each and every week, as we try to make the most money possible off of the CFB odds for the week. Join us on Friday, as we make our Hawaii Warriors @ Air Force Falcons free picks and predictions for what should be a great clash on the gridiron.

Week 12 College Football Picks: Hawaii Warriors @ Air Force Falcons
Date: Friday, November 16th, 9:30 ET
Location: Falcon Stadium, Colorado Springs, CO
CFB Betting Odds: Air Force -23
Hawaii vs. Air Force Live TV: ESPN2

Isn’t there some basketball that you should be watching tonight? This isn’t a great game by any stretch of the imagination, and the truth of the matter is that we’re projecting virtually all of the betting action to be on the Falcons. That maybe shouldn’t be the case, though. Yes, Hawaii has failed to cover seven games in a row, and yes, this might be the worst FBS team in the nation, especially on the road, but the Warriors have one thing on their side, and that’s the fact that Air Force really has no way to prepare for their offense. Granted, we have no idea how the Warriors are going to prepare for the triple option either… but that’s beside the point. The Falcons have a decent triple option, and it does produce a bunch of yards, but not necessarily a ton of points. It’s going to take 40 to cover this game in all likelihood, and we just aren’t all that sure, even for as bad as the Warriors are, that that is going to happen.

Hawaii @ Air Force Pick: Hawaii +23
Hawaii @ Air Force Score Prediction: Air Force 35 – Hawaii 17

5Dimes SportsbookOne of my favorite plays on the Week 12 Wednesday college football odds pits the Ball State Cardinals against the Ohio Bobcats. These two are going to be meeting at 8:00 p.m. ET at Scheumann Stadium, and I’m going to show you which side to make your CFB pick on for this great game.

Ohio Bobcats (8-2, 4-6 ATS) +3.5
Ball State Cardinals (7-3, 8-2 ATS) -3.5
Over/Under Off

Ball State and Ohio are both great teams that are hoping to make a bowl game this year, but the loser of this one is going to likely find itself in some trouble. For my money though, this is the best of all of the games to play of the midweek action.

The Bobcats are probably going to be the team that most want to fade after last week. The Cardinals were able to go on the road and pull off the upset over Toledo at the Glass Bowl, while Ohio lost at home to what, in my estimation, is a very, very good Bowling Green squad. Still, it wasn’t a mistake that the Bobcats were able to get to 8-0 this year, and this is a very solid team from top to bottom. QB Tyler Tettleton has fallen upon some hard times, but he still has 16 TDs against just two picks and is destined to have better games that he had last week when he threw for just 145 yards against the stout Bowling Green defense.

The Bobcats had dominated this series in the 1990s and early 2000s, but these last two games have been ones that Ball State has gotten the better of. Still, Ball State is just 1-5 ATS in its last six games here in Muncie against teams with a winning road record. This just isn’t a great spot for the Cardinals to be in after last week’s emotional high, and they’ll get knocked off by Ohio on Wednesday.

Ohio @ Ball State Tips: Ohio Bobcats +3.5

Making sports betting picks is one of my specialties, and today at Cappers Info, I’m making my Sunday Football Tipster pick based upon the football trends and NFL odds for the Houston Texans vs. Chicago Bears game on Sunday, November 11th at Soldier Field at 8:20 p.m. ET.

Houston Texans (7-1, 6-2 ATS) +1.5
Chicago Bears (7-1, 5-3 ATS) -1.5
Over/Under 40

The very first point to make is that the weather in the Windy City is going to be absolutely atrocious today. The Bears have to loving the wind and rain that is going to be on tap, and the Texans have to absolutely have it. All hope isn’t lost for the Texans, though.

Remember that this defense is still ridiculously improved from two years ago for the Texans, and though they are a team that normally plays in hot and relatively ideal weather conditions, they have proven that they can win in the wind and the rain as well. Houston is built like a team that can grind it out with RB Arian Foster. Both of these teams can do the exact same thing though, as RB Matt Forte and RB Michael Bush are the two men that are going to be under the gun as well.

Of course, we know that the Bears have a defense that is absolutely legitimate, and this team isn’t going to go anywhere any time in the near future. This should be a defensive slug fest when push comes to shove, and I, for one, am puzzled as to why this ‘total’ is even in the 40s. The Texans have allowed a total of just 22 points in the last two games, while the Bears have held three of the last six teams to single digits in scoring. I’d be surprised if this gets beyond the low-30s between these two clubs.

Texans @ Bears Tips: Under 40

Week 10 pointspreads are out, and here at Cappers Info, we are set to analyze the NFL odds for one of the top games on the slate. The Houston Texans vs. Chicago Bears odds are posted, and we are set to make our NFL picks for another great game.

Week 10 NFL Picks: Houston Texans @ Chicago Bears
Date: Sunday, November 11th, 8:20 ET
Location: Soldier Field, Chicago, IL
Week 10 Betting Odds: Chicago -1.5
Houston vs. Chicago Live TV: NBC

My dear Texans have never won a game on Football Night in America, and this is their second shot this season of being about to get the job done this year. Chicago’s defense is the real deal, and it has to be really scary for Houston to be able to go into this situation on the road. If QB Matt Schaub can find a way to win this game, he will be a hero, and the Texans will most certainly be the team to beat on the Super Bowl odds this year. However, it just doesn’t seem like it’s going to happen. The combination of QB Jay Cutler to WR Brandon Marshall has been lighting up the NFL all year long, and though the Houston secondary is much improved, it probably isn’t good enough to hold Marshall down. This just doesn’t look like a great situation for the visitors, even though they might be the better of the two teams.

Texans @ Bears Pick: Chicago Bears -1.5
Texans @ Bears Score Prediction: Chicago 20 – Houston 17

The Dallas Cowboys and the Philadelphia Eagles are going to square off in Week 10 of the NFL betting campaign. Join us here at Cappers Info, as we make our predictions for football for what should be a great game on Sunday.

Week 10 NFL Picks: Dallas Cowboys @ Philadelphia Eagles
Date: Sunday, November 11th, 4:25 ET
Location: Lincoln Financial Field, Philadelphia, PA
Week 10 Betting Odds: Pick ‘Em
Cowboys vs. Eagles Live TV: FOX

The Eagles were able to sweep the season series from the Cowboys last year, and this is a very predictable spot where the visitors are going to be able to pull off a seemingly improbable upset. Dallas just has this knack of winning the games that you don’t think it can win. It was good enough to beat the Falcons on the road last week, and if WR Dez Bryant’s butt had come down before his hand, it would have beaten the Giants the week before. A missed field goal cost the Cowboys against the Ravens. This is a team that just as easily could be 6-2 as it is 3-5 at the moment, and Head Coach Jason Garrett knows it. Still, you have to make the plays in the biggest situations, something that QB Tony Romo doesn’t historically do. In this one though, the Cowboys have the front seven to make life a living hell of QB Michael Vick, and that should make the difference. The boo birds are going to be out in the City of Brotherly Love, and we wouldn’t be all that surprised if this is the last time that Head Coach Andy Reid graces the sidelines in Eagles colors.

Cowboys @ Eagles Pick: Dallas Cowboys Pick ‘Em
Cowboys @ Eagles Score Prediction: Dallas 24 – Philadelphia 17

The 2012 NFL schedule is back, and here at Cappers Info, we’ll be looking at some of the best games on the docket each and every week, as we try to make the most money possible off of the Week 10 odds for the NFL. Join us on Sunday, as we make our Atlanta Falcons @ New Orleans Saints free picks and predictions for what should be a great clash on the gridiron.

Week 10 NFL Picks: Atlanta Falcons @ New Orleans Saints
Date: Sunday, November 11th, 1:00 ET
Location: Mercedes Benz Superdome, New Orleans, LA
NFL Betting Odds: Atlanta -2.5
Falcons @ Saints On TV: FOX

The split in the betting action for this game has been surprisingly split relatively early in the week, but we think that there is going to be more and more action coming in on the Saints as the week goes on. We aren’t buying it, though. The Saints clearly have an offense that is incomplete right now. TE Jimmy Graham just doesn’t look like the same man that he was last year, and RB Darren Sproles not being out there really hurts when it comes to QB Drew Brees getting rid of the ball quickly. We saw him get harassed last week by the Philadelphia Eagles’ front seven time and time again, and he fumbled the ball twice in the second half alone. QB Matt Ryan has never lost a game in which he has thrown three or more touchdowns, and against one of the worst secondaries in the league, it is clear that he will do just that once again in this one. Don’t be all that shocked if the Falcons roll to 9-0 in spite of the public perception that the Saints are ready to march back into the playoff picture.

Falcons @ Saints Pick: Atlanta Falcons -2.5
Falcons @ Saints Score Prediction: Atlanta 34 – New Orleans 28

The 2012 NFL season is back, and here at Cappers Info, we’ll be looking at some of the best games on the docket each and every week, as we try to make the most money possible off of the NFL odds for the week. Join us on Sunday, as we make our Detroit Lions @ Minnesota Vikings free picks and predictions for what should be a great clash on the gridiron.

Week 9 NFL Picks: Detroit Lions @ Minnesota Vikings
Date: Sunday, November 11th, 1:00 ET
Location: Mall of America Field at the HHH Metrodome, Minneapolis, MN
NFL Betting Odds: Detroit -2
Lions vs. Vikings On TV: FOX

It has been a brutally odd year for the Lions in 2012. QB Matt Stafford has just eight touchdown passes in spite of the fact that he is on a clip to throw for almost 5,000 yards for the second straight year. WR Calvin Johnson has only found the end zone once. The ground game still stinks. The defense still is suspect. Yet the club sits at 4-4 and could be back in the playoff picture with a win. Minnesota meanwhile, has won games this year with smoke and mirrors. WR Percy Harvin is amazing, but he is dealing with an ankle problem that should keep him out of this one. That leaves just RB Adrian Peterson to carry the load as one of the best backs in the game. QB Christian Ponder is going to have to take good care of the football in this one. We still think that Minnesota is going to ultimately win this battle of teams that we don’t think are all that great at the moment. The Vikes played a terrible game but still won when these two met at Ford Field thanks to a pair of special teams touchdown, and they are going to really want to get back in the good graces of the hometown crowd after getting shellacked by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers the last time there was a game here at the Metrodome.

Detroit Lions @ Minnesota Vikings Pick: Minnesota Vikings +2
Detroit Lions @ Minnesota Vikings Score Prediction: Minnesota 23 – Detroit 21

Week 10 pointspreads are out, and here at Cappers Info, we are set to analyze the NFL odds for one of the top games on the slate. The Buffalo Bills vs. New England Patriots odds are posted, and we are set to make our NFL picks for another great game.

Week 10 NFL Picks: Buffalo Bills @ New England Patriots
Date: Sunday, November 11th, 1:00 ET
Location: Gillette Stadium, Foxboro, MA
Week 10 Betting Odds: New England -11
Buffalo vs. New England Live TV: CBS

For as bad as the Bills looked in Week 4 when these two teams met up, we really think that this is the time that Buffalo can make a stand and at least stand toe to toe with the defending AFC champs. Yes, QB Tom Brady has been out of this world this year, and yes TE Rob Gronkowski went crazy against the Bills, and yes, both RB Brandon Bolden and RB Stevan Ridley were dominating on the ground, but take a closer look at what New England has done at home this year. The team was beaten by the Arizona Cardinals (and my, how that loss is looking worse and worse by the day!), and it should have been beaten by the New York Jets. You just can’t lay 11 points in the NFL consistently and still cover NFL point spreads. The Pats couldn’t do it in their perfect regular season, and they aren’t going to do it this year either. Buffalo has to be irked as could be for this one after the terrible showing a month and a half ago, and it will at least keep this one respectable on Sunday.

Bills @ Patriots Pick: Buffalo Bills +11
Bills @ Patriots Score Prediction: New England 24 – Buffalo 20

NFL betting fans are running to their online sportsbooks to place their New York Jets vs. Seattle Seahawks bets and predictions, and here at Cappers Info, we are making our Sunday football picks for this encounter.

Week 10 Football Picks: New York Jets @ Seattle Seahawks
Date: Sunday, November 11th, 4:05 ET
Location: CenturyLink Field, Seattle, WA
NFL Betting Lines: Seattle -6
Jets vs. Seahawks On TV: CBS

It was over a decade ago that QB Vinny Testaverde got his helmet, but not the ball into the end zone to save the Jets’ season against the Seahawks, and on Sunday, this could be as dramatic of a game. New York just feels like it is going to win this game to us. We have a tough time justifying that it is anything that the Jets are going to do to make this work, as we still think that QB Mark Sanchez is as bad as any quarterback in the league and think that RB Shonn Greene is nothing but a plodding back. But the Seahawks feel like they are due for a total meltdown at some point over the course of these next few weeks, and this is as good of a spot as any for it to happen. The home field advantage respect factor that is going into CenturyLink Field is nuts, and we really don’t think that these teams are separated by all that much, if anything at all. Go with the Jets and the points, and don’t be overly shocked if this one ends in an upset.

Jets @ Seahawks Pick: New York Jets +6
New York @ Seattle Score Prediction: New York 17 – Seattle 14

Week 10 pointspreads are out, and here at Cappers Info, we are set to analyze the NFL odds for one of the top games on the slate. The San Diego Chargers vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers odds are posted, and we are set to make our NFL picks for another great game.

Week 10 NFL Picks: San Diego Chargers @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Date: Sunday, November 11th, 1:00 ET
Location: Raymond James Stadium, Tampa Bay, FL
Week 10 Betting Odds: Tampa Bay -3
San Diego vs. Tampa Bay Live TV: CBS

The Bucs have actually never beaten the Chargers here at home, a trend that they are going to hope comes to an end on Sunday afternoon. Both of these teams are 4-4, but it is clear in our eyes who the better 4-4 team really is. The Chargers are only at this point in the year because they beat down the Chiefs twice. Take those two lousy wins out, and there hasn’t been a victory since knocking off the Titans and the Raiders in back to back weeks to start the campaign. Meanwhile, the Bucs are coming off of back to back road wins, including a win against Minnesota that was a heck of a lot better than any victory than the Bolts have. Whereas San Diego has gotten blown away by the likes of the Broncos (in the second half) and the Falcons, Tampa Bay had Washington, Dallas, and New York by the throat before letting them go. This is a game that the Bucs should be winning on Sunday, and it might not be all that difficult either.

Chargers @ Buccaneers Pick: Tampa Bay Buccaneers -3
Chargers @ Buccaneers Score Prediction: Tampa Bay 27 – San Diego 17
