The No. 1 team in the country is going to be given all that it can handle at the Barclays Center on Tuesday night in what might feel like a bit of a road game against a Georgetown team that is hungry. The Hoyas took care of the UCLA Bruins last night in relatively impressive fashion, while IU more or less just slunk to a 66-53 uninspired victory over the Georgia Bulldogs. Still, there has to be more in the tank for the Hoosiers than the Hoyas on Tuesday night. It is clear that Cody Zeller and Christian Watford have more to offer this year than the 14.8 and 14.5 points per game that the two have put together respectively. Of course, both are only averaging right around 25:30 per game on the campaign as well, and in this one, they are both going to be expected to play some significantly bigger minutes. Look for the Hoyas to get worn down by the tempo with which the Hoosiers are going to play, and in the end, this should be a comfortable, double digit victory for the boys from Bloomington.

We really like the Zips on Tuesday night to go out and get the job done against the Rockets from an ATS standpoint. Akron has the offense to be able to give Toledo fits, and the Rockets haven’t scored more than 29 in a game in over a month. They’ll get to at least 30 in this one, but probably not all that much beyond about 35 or 40. If that’s the case, we just need the Zips to find the end zone three times, and QB Dalton Williams has averaged 2.5 TD passes per game this year. There will be too many turnovers for the Zips to win, and there might be too many problems to even keep it remotely close. However, we really don’t expect to see this one get too far out of hand either, and in the end, a 38-21 final score seems just about right.

The Nets and the Lakers are going to be involved in what should be a great battle on the NBA betting lines on Tuesday night, and we’re looking forward to seeing whether Brooklyn can hang with the big boys. The team has won five in a row, and it has gone 3-0-2 ATS in those games. Of course, the level of competition has flat out stunk, and the only games against comparable teams have been the Boston Celtics (102-97 victory) and Miami Heat (103-73 loss). Los Angeles has started to come together over the course of the last few games, and the club romped over the Phoenix Suns and Houston Rockets to continue this home stand. With Head Coach Mike D’Antoni getting back on the sidelines for the first time, emotions will be running high. We don’t really see much in the way of hope here for the Nets, especially knowing how badly their big men have struggled against opposing bigs. It could be a great day for C Dwight Howard, and G Kobe Bryant is coming off of a triple-double game against the Rockets.

5Dimes SportsbookOne of my favorite plays on the Week 13 Tuesday college football odds pits the Toledo Rockets against the Akron Zips. These two are going to be meeting at 7:00 p.m. ET at the Glass Bowl, and I’m going to show you which side to make your CFB pick on for this great game.

Akron Zips (1-10, 5-6 ATS) +21
Toledo Rockets (8-3, 7-4 ATS) -21
Over/Under Off

The last Tuesday night game in the MAC is this week, and I think that it is going to be a heck of a lot more of a game than most probably will when they first look at this game. The Zips have consistently been one of the worst teams in the MAC, but I think that they have the ability to cover this game against a Toledo team that really hasn’t been all that great over the course of the last few weeks.

Toledo really hasn’t played all that many bad games this year, but it hasn’t played many fantastic ones either. The team was beaten by the Ball State Cardinals and Northern Illinois Huskies in back to back weeks, and now, it probably needs to win this game to ensure that it will get into a bowl game this year.

Akron is 4-1 ATS in its five road games this year, and it has a real chance to watch that grow in this one. Toledo has failed to cover five straight Tuesday games for what it’s worth, and it was crushed when these two teams played against each other last time (granted, that was in 2008). However, I really like the form of the Zips right now believe it or not, and I think that they were snuck up on by a hungry UMass team last time out. In their finale, they’ll at least find a way to leave with a decent taste in their mouths in the Glass Bowl.
