The 2012 college football season continues this week, and here at Cappers Info, we’ll be looking at some of the best games on the docket each and every week, as we try to make the most money possible off of the CFB odds for the week. Join us on Thursday, as we make our Louisville Cardinals @ Rutgers Scarlet Knights free picks and predictions for what should be a great clash on the gridiron.

Week 14 College Football Picks: Louisville Cardinals @ Rutgers Scarlet Knights
Date: Thursday, November 29th, 7:30 ET
Location: High Point Solutions Stadium, Piscataway, NJ
CFB Betting Odds: Rutgers -3
Louisville vs. Rutgers Live TV: ESPN

Forget about this game for a second, because trying to handicap this one is going to be impossible. There’s absolutely nothing that we have seen out of either of these teams that makes us want to back either team, as both certainly stunk up the joint in a big time way. But this game isn’t just about the two teams that are on the field. This is a game for the state of New Jersey. The only state college of the Garden State is going to be on fire for this one. Remember six years ago when the Scarlet Knights knocked off the then No. 3 ranked Cardinals right here in Piscataway? The place went absolutely bananas – even more nuts than we normally see when there are big upsets. This is a school in Rutgers that just doesn’t see moments like this. This is a chance to get to the BCS for the first time in school history. And it’s a chance to do it in spite of the fact that Head Coach Greg Schiano left for the NFL. Simply put, it’s the biggest game in the history of the Rutgers program, and the opportunity to win the Big East is just too big to punt away. Sometimes, it’s more about the players on the field and emotion alone can bring you to a win. That’s what Rutgers is going to go through on Thursday night.

Louisville @ Rutgers Pick: Rutgers -3
Louisville @ Rutgers Score Prediction: Rutgers 27 – Louisville 17

5Dimes SportsbookOne of my favorite plays on the Week 14 Thursday college football odds pits the Rutgers Scarlet Knights against the Louisville Cardinals. These two are going to be meeting at 7:30 p.m. ET at High Point Solutions Stadium, and I’m going to show you which side to make your CFB pick on for this great game.

Louisville Cardinals (9-2, 4-7 ATS) +3
Rutgers Scarlet Knights (9-2, 7-4 ATS) -3
Over/Under 43.5

This clearly is going to be a game for the ages in Piscataway, and nerves are probably going to get the best of both of these teams. It’s going to be freezing cold at the end of November in the Garden State, and as a result, points are likely going to be at a premium.

I just don’t see where these points are going to come from. Louisville has the ability to do some scoring, but it took three overtimes to score 20 points last week against the Connecticut Huskies, who don’t exactly have the best team in the Big East. Meanwhile, Rutgers scored just six points last week against the Pitt Panthers, and they put up just 10 the week before against the Cincinnati Bearcats. The ground game comes first for both of these teams, and there are going to be just such a small number of plays in this game in relation to what we’re used to seeing in the average college football game.

Now add in the fact that last year’s game between these two teams ended in a 16-14 win for the Cardinals. Everything is just setting up right now for this one to be a game that lands in the 30s, not in the 40s or 50s. Go with the ‘under’ before this number drops on game day.

Louisville @ Rutgers Tips: Under 43.5

The Denver Nuggets and the Golden State Warriors are going to square off in a Thursday night NBA betting affair on November 29th. Join us here at Cappers Info, as we make our predictions for basketball for what should be a great game on Thursday.

NBA Predictions: Denver Nuggets @ Golden State Warriors
Date: Thursday, November 29th, 10:30 ET
Location: Oracle Arena, San Francisco, CA
NBA Betting Odds: Denver -1.5
Nuggets vs. Warriors NBA TV Schedule: TNT

It was only five days ago that the Nuggets beat the heck out of the Warriors at Pepsi Arena, and unfortunately for Golden State, this could really become an even worse beating. The real key that the Nuggets have on a nightly basis is the fact that they can rebound just as well if not better than any team in the land. In that game though, one that was won by 11 points by the Nuggets, the Warriors actually won the rebounding battle by six boards. That just isn’t going to happen again in this one in all likelihood. Denver is playing well this year in spite of itself. The team is shooting just 66.6 percent from the foul line this year, and there are so many traditionally respectable free throw shooters that are just doing horribly right now from the stripe. Denver has won and covered three in a row and seven out of nine in this series, and we’re puzzled as to what the NBA betting lines are doing dropping as close to a pick ‘em as this one is getting. The Nuggs absolutely have to win this game at least 55% of the time to make this betting worthwhile.

Nuggets @ Warriors NBA Pick: Denver Nuggets -1.5
Nuggets @ Warriors Score Prediction: Nuggets 105 – Warriors 100

NBA picks are one of our specialties here at Cappers Info, and we are set to make our free San Antonio Spurs @ Miami Heat picks and predictions for what should be a great clash on Thursday night at American Airlines Arena.

Free NBA Picks: San Antonio Spurs @ Miami Heat

Location: American Airlines Arena, Miami, FL
NBA Betting Odds: Miami -6.5
Spurs @ Heat On TV Live: TNT

The Spurs are playing in the second half of the Sunshine State swing, and that’s generally bad news for anyone. Of course, San Antonio has been one of the best teams in the league this year, and that hasn’t changed at this point. This is the sixth straight road game for the Spurs, and they are 5-0 SU and 4-1 ATS in those games. The Heat have won four games in a row, but they really don’t feel like they have gotten their acts together. It almost feels like they have been screwing around with the Milwaukee Bucks and the Cleveland Cavaliers, and this is the game that they are truthfully ready to come out and kill it. Remember that the last two times that these two teams met in South Beach, Miami came up with wins of 120-98 and 110-80. We don’t quite think that it’s going to be that emphatic this time around, but there is no reason to think that this won’t be a double digit victory.

Spurs @ Heat Pick: Miami Heat -6.5
Spurs @ Heat Final Score Prediction: Miami 105 – San Antonio 94

Anyone else smelling this upset in the Big East/SEC Challenge? The Big East is a comfortable favorite to claim the Big East/SEC Challenge, but this is a game that is a heck of a lot more dangerous than it ultimately looks for the one team in the SEC that really shouldn’t be struggling. The Wildcats are looked upon as the best in America right now outside of Indiana and perhaps Duke and Louisville, but we just don’t know. We know that this team is going to be great come March when all of these youngsters learn how to play together, but it just isn’t there yet. Meanwhile, Notre Dame is bringing back a veteran squad with a ton of returners, namely Jack Cooley and Jerian Grant, and these two know what it takes to win the big time games. It wasn’t a mistake that teams like West Virginia, Marquette, Syracuse, and Pittsburgh all came to South Bend last year and lost, and it definitely wasn’t a mistake that this team lost just one game at home all year long last year. The only mistake here? Too many people are going to bet on the Wildcats, thinking that the -1.5 is a sure thing. Not so fast, my friends.

Kentucky vs. Notre Dame Pick: Notre Dame Fighting Irish +1.5
Kentucky vs. Notre Dame Prediction: Notre Dame 70 – Kentucky 65

The time is here for more of our sparkling CBB picks, as we look at the schedule for basketball for Thursday night. The Florida Gators and Marquette Golden Eagles will have it in a nationally televised game, which can be seen on the college basketball TV schedule on ESPN2.

Free College Hoops Picks: Marquette Golden Eagles @ Florida Gators
Date: Thursday, November 29th, 9:00 ET
Location: O’Connell Center, Gainesville, FL
Marquette vs. Florida Live TV: ESPN2

It’s going to be a late night in Gainesville on Thursday, as the Gators have a late 9:00 p.m. ET start against the Golden Eagles of Marquette in the Big East/SEC Challenge. Florida has already knocked off one major foe this year, beating the snot out of the Wisconsin Badgers by 18 points as six-point favorites in this building. It’s a sign that perhaps Head Coach Billy Donovan really does have a team that is good enough to go to the Final Four this year in spite of the fact that the unexpected departure of G Bradley Beal was really supposed to crush the program. The Golden Eagles look okay right now under the direction of Head Coach Buzz Williams, but there is some concern. F Davante Gardner is the team’s leading scorer right now at 14.0 points per game, but there is a real question as to who is going to step up and take the big time shot at the end of the shot clock. Last year, it was either Darius Johnson-Odom or Jae Crowder. This year, no such luck. It’s tough laying double digits, but we’re going to do just that on Friday night with the Gators against what we amount up to be an overmatched Marquette side.

Marquette vs. Florida Pick: Florida Gators -11.5
Marquette vs. Florida Prediction: Florida 78 – Marquette 61

Michigan State feels like the better of these two teams, but the club is going on the road on Wednesday night to South Beach in what could be a very dangerous game against the Canes. Michigan State still hasn’t lost a game since playing over in Europe to start off the season, but we still remain very unimpressed with the way that the squad is playing. Save for the win over Kansas, there really isn’t a milestone moment in this season for the Spartans. Miami on the other hand, really hasn’t even bothered to challenge anyone yet this year, and that’s what makes this game so intriguing. The weekend victory over the Detroit Titans was the best of the bunch, and it made up for the absolutely unforgiveable loss to Florida Gulf Coast a few weeks ago. The thing about the Hurricanes that intrigues us though, is that they are a full team again. Durand Scott is back. Reggie Johnson is back. Shane Larkin is lighting it up. The pieces really are falling into place. We think that there is a very justifiable reason for “The U” being favored on Wednesday night. Chalk one up for the ACC.

Michigan State vs. Miami Pick: Miami Hurricanes -2.5
Michigan State vs. Miami Prediction: Miami 71 – Michigan State 64

The time is here for more of our sparkling CBB picks, as we look at the schedule for basketball for Wednesday night. The Duke Blue Devils and Ohio State Buckeyes will have it in a nationally televised game, which can be seen on the college basketball TV schedule on ESPN.

Free College Hoops Picks: Ohio State Buckeyes @ Duke Blue Devils
Date: Wednesday, November 28th, 9:30 ET
Location: Cameron Indoor Stadium, Durham, NC
Ohio State vs. Duke Live TV: ESPN

Last night was a big night for the Big Ten in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge, and the Buckeyes are hoping that that continues on Wednesday night with a real test at Cameron Indoor against what might be one of the best teams in America. The Dookies are definitely beatable, but man, they have played just a wicked schedule to date and have yet to be bounced. Kentucky, Minnesota, VCU, and Louisville have all come calling against the Blue Devils, only to get beaten one after the other. OSU doesn’t quite have that bulk on the inside that it did last year with Jared Sullinger in the fold, but F Deshaun Thomas is really doing everything that he can right now, averaging 24.0 points and 7.2 rebounds per game. G Aaron Craft is one of the best point guards in the game as well. As far as the Blue Devils are concerned, they aren’t very deep, but they have proven in the past that they don’t have to be. Five players account for all but 7.0 points per game of the scoring, led by F Mason Plumlee at 19.7 points and 10.0 boards per game. What’s scariest about Duke is that it has the ability to shoot the ball even better than it has. There’s no reason to think that the Blue Devils won’t get this one by at least a touchdown at home on Wednesday night.

Ohio State vs. Duke Pick: Duke Blue Devils -6
Ohio State vs. Duke Prediction: Duke 76 – Ohio State 68

NBA betting action continues on Wednesday night from Staples Center, where the Los Angeles Clippers will host the Minnesota Timberwolves in a battle on the NBA betting odds. Don’t miss out on this one, which should be a great clash. The NBA television schedule shows this 10:30 ET tip happening on NBATV.

Location: Staples Center, Los Angeles, CA
NBA Betting Odds: Los Angeles -8.5
Timberwolves vs. Clippers Live TV: NBATV

UCABet Banner

The Clippers and the Timberwolves are teams that are both going in the same type of direction, though LA is clearly ahead of Minnesota on the curve. We really like the way that the T’Wolves are playing right now though, as they have back F Kevin Love, and he is playing like one of the best players in the NBA. Just last night, he was good for a 20/20 against the Sacramento Kings in a game that was won on the road. This isn’t a team that is going to be able to go on the road and win games like this yet, but the games are getting closer and closer, and there is no doubt that the club is getting more and more competitive. The Clips have lost four games in a row both SU and ATS, including dropping to the New Orleans Hornets by seven points as 13 point favorites at home two nights ago. It just doesn’t seem right that the Clips are favored by such a big margin. We think that they’ll get back on track and win this game, but Love and the budding Timberwolves should keep it close.

Timberwolves @ Clippers Pick: Minnesota Timberwolves +8.5
Timberwolves @ Clippers Prediction: Clippers 98 – Timberwolves 94

The Brooklyn Nets and the Boston Celtics are going to square off in a Wednesday night NBA betting affair on November 28th. Join us here at Cappers Info, as we make our predictions for basketball for what should be a great game on Wednesday.

NBA Predictions: Brooklyn Nets @ Boston Celtics
Date: Wednesday, November 28th, 7:30 ET
Location: TD Garden, Boston, MA
NBA Betting Odds: Boston -4
Nets vs. Celtics NBA TV Schedule: NBATV

The Nets made a big time statement two nights ago when they bounced the Knicks at home in what is sure to bud into one of the big time rivalries in basketball. However, the test gets harder in this one on the road at the TD Garden against a Boston team that is still trying to stake a claim to the top spot in the Atlantic Division as well. When these two teams met the first time, the Nets needed a 28-18 fourth quarter to put away Boston, and in that game, G Rajon Rondo didn’t suit up. F Kris Humphries had a double-double as well, something that C Kevin Garnett and F Brandon Bass surely won’t let happen again. Rondo is back in the fold, and he is playing some of the best point guard in the NBA. If Boston gets back to its defensive ways and keeps the Nets under 100 points as we expect, this should be a game that the hosts take with relative ease.

Nets @ Celtics NBA Pick: Boston Celtics -4
Nets @ Celtics Score Prediction: Celtics 96 – Nets 90
