The Los Angeles Lakers and the Houston Rockets are going to square off in a Tuesday night NBA betting affair on December 4th. Join us here at Cappers Info, as we make our predictions for basketball for what should be a great game on Tuesday.

NBA Predictions: Los Angeles Lakers @ Houston Rockets
Date: Tuesday, December 4th, 8:00 ET
Location: Toyota Center, Houston, TX
NBA Betting Odds: Los Angeles -2
Lakers vs. Rockets NBA TV Schedule: Local TV

It’s going to be an exciting one on Tuesday night in the Lone Star State for sure, as this is one of the highest ‘totals’ that you’re going to see this early in the season at 214.5. The Rockets have been playing great ball offensively, including dropping point totals of 117, 124, and 131 over the course of the last few games. G James Harden is still going off to the tune of 24.1 points per game, but he isn’t alone in the effort, as F Chandler Parsons, F Patrick Patterson, C Omer Asik, and G Jeremy Lin are all averaging double digits in scoring as well. In the end though, we still don’t see how the Lakers are getting this much respect. They’ve got a decent core, but they also just don’t have the talent at the point guard spot right now to keep this offense flying up and down the court. Until G Steve Nash comes back into the fold, it’s going to be hard to back what, in our eyes, is nothing more than an above average team with a player on it in G Kobe Bryant that refuses to lose. Unfortunately, that isn’t going to get the job done on most nights, and this likely won’t be one of those nights where the Black Mamba takes over.

Lakers @ Rockets NBA Pick: Houston Rockets +2
Lakers @ Rockets Score Prediction: Rockets 117 – Lakers 108

The Nets and Thunder have played awfully well this year, and they are going to be going at it in full force in this one. This feels a bit like the Super Bowl for the time being for Brooklyn, knowing that this is a game where it would love to prove to the rest of the league that it can play with the best of the bunch. However, with C Brook Lopez out of the fold, there is a huge gap in the center of the court that really could prove to be problematic. Oklahoma City is just far too hot right now to be stopped. Sure, this winning streak is going to be coming to a close at some point, but in the end in this one, it is going to be insanely difficult defensively to try to slow down F Kevin Durant, G Russell Westbrook, and maybe most importantly, F Serge Ibaka with the man in the middle out. Not that we don’t think that G Joe Johnson and G Deron Williams couldn’t lead this team to victory, but in the end, we really think that the Nets are going to prove to be the lesser of these two teams by a substantial margin, and in the end, Oklahoma City will pull away.

Thunder @ Nets Pick: Oklahoma City Thunder -3
Thunder @ Nets Final Score Prediction: Oklahoma City 104 – Brooklyn 94

The time is here for more of our sparkling CBB picks, as we look at the schedule for basketball for Tuesday night. The Georgetown Hoyas and Texas Longhorns will have it in a nationally televised game, which can be seen on the college basketball TV schedule on ESPN.

Free College Hoops Picks: Texas Longhorns vs. Georgetown Hoyas
Date: Tuesday, December 4th, 7:00 ET
Location: Madison Square Garden, New York, NY
Texas vs. Georgetown Live TV: ESPN

We had the displeasure of watching that hideous game between the Hoyas and the Tennessee Volunteers over the weekend, and we have to hope that this game just isn’t a repeat of that situation. These two teams are both very defensive minded, but are clear ways to see how both of these offenses are due to score a heck of a lot more in the way of points. Georgetown is one of the more efficient teams in the land, knowing that all three of its top scorers shoot the ball at least 49 percent from the floor. Texas meanwhile, should be getting a whole heck of a lot more out of Javan Felix, who is shooting less than 10% from beyond the arc and only just above 30% from the field. If Felix can figure out how to get something going, there is no reason to think that UT won’t be able to at least get to 55 or so in this game, and if that turns out to be the case, we really think that this one is going to get past the ‘total’.

Texas vs. Georgetown Pick: Over 117
Texas vs. Georgetown Prediction: Georgetown 62 – Texas 58

The Jimmy V Classic is one of the best preseason college basketball events of the year, and games like this are why that’s the case. NC State and UConn really have underachieved this year, as they have three losses between them. Of course, we wouldn’t rule out either one playing in the Sweet 16 or even beyond this year, but at this point, there isn’t anything to be thrilled about either team. The Huskies have struggled at times offensively this year, knowing that the team hasn’t scored more than 77 points in regulation in a game in spite of the fact that the schedule has been relatively weak. NC State has had some great games, but some bad games as well, and it seems that the club only goes as far as its sharpshooters can take it. We think that this is going to be a lower scoring game in spite of the fact that the potential is there for both to make some headway on the other, as we think that the inconsistencies of both are going to shine through.

NC State vs. Connecticut Pick: Under 144
NC State vs. Connecticut Prediction: NC State 68 – Connecticut 64

The time is here for more of our sparkling CBB picks, as we look at the schedule for basketball for Friday night. The Notre Dame Fighting Irish and Niagara Purple Eagles will have it in a nationally televised game, which can be seen on the college basketball TV schedule on ESPNU.

Free College Hoops Picks: Niagara Purple Eagles @ Notre Dame Fighting Irish
Date: Friday, December 21st, 7:00 ET
Location: Purcell Pavilion at the Joyce Center, South Bend, IN
Niagara vs. Notre Dame Live TV: ESPNU

These teams from the Metro Atlantic are all stingy clubs, and Niagara surely is no different this year. The Purple Eagles are going to fly all over the place, as they are averaging game totals right around 149 this year. The trio of guards from last year’s team returns this season, led by G Antoine Mason, G Juan’ya Green, and G Marvin Jordan. These three are all just pure shooters, and they are good for over 45 points per game between them this year. Mason is the truly lethal shooter from the outside, and he is averaging 19.2 points per game. The Purple Eagles also force just a ton of turnovers, getting 7.3 steals per game. They aren’t going to win this game against Notre Dame, as F Jack Cooley should put up a dominating performance against a team that really doesn’t have a big man to counter him. However, if the Irish don’t keep their full focus, they might end up getting a game from the MAAC reps.

Niagara vs. Notre Dame Pick: Niagara Purple Eagles
Niagara vs. Notre Dame Prediction: Notre Dame 88 – Niagara 79
