NFL betting fans are running to their online sportsbooks to place their Denver Broncos vs. Oakland Raiders bets and predictions, and here at Cappers Info, we are making our Thursday football picks for this encounter.

Week 14 Football Picks: Denver Broncos @ Oakland Raiders
Date: Thursday, December 6th, 8:20 ET
Location: O.co Coliseum, Oakland, CA
NFL Betting Lines: Denver -10.5
Broncos vs. Raiders On TV: NFL Network

The terms “accomplish” and “Oakland Raiders” haven’t been put in a lot of sentences together of late, but this feels like the game in which the silver and black are going to at least stay competitive again. They had the Cleveland Browns dead to rights last week, and had RB Darren McFadden been out there, there probably would have been a good shot to win that one. All of the major problems have come on the road for this team this year, including losing by 22 to Miami, 31 to these Broncos, 35 to Baltimore, and 24 to Cincinnati. At home though, no game has had a margin of defeat greater than 10 points outside of a 38-17 loss to the New Orleans Saints, and it just doesn’t feel like Denver is going to come on the road and win this one by this many points. We don’t truly believe that the residents of the Black Hole are going to see a win, but we do think that they are at least going to make QB Peyton Manning for his 10th victory of the season. This is just a heck of a lot of points to be giving in any NFL game on the road.

Broncos @ Raiders Pick: Oakland Raiders +10.5
Denver @ Oakland Score Prediction: Denver 24 – Oakland 20

CappersInfo is back with its Elon Phoenix vs. Duke Blue Devils picks and predictions, as we look to give you all of the college basketball advice and tips that you need to beat your online sportsbook for this crucial Thursday night tilt.

College Basketball Picks: Elon Phoenix @ Duke Blue Devils
Date: Thursday, December 20th, 7:00 ET
Location: Cameron Indoor Stadium, Durham, NC
Elon vs. Duke Live TV: ESPNU

GT Bets Banner

For the second night in a row, the Blue Devils are going to be playing a game that they are expected to win by a comfortable margin. They made short work out of the Cornell Big Red last night, and no one played more than 26 minutes in the victory. Elon has itself an experienced team though, and G Jack Isenbarger and F Lucas Troutman are leading a club that did a lot of learning on the go last year. Two years ago in this very building, these two men both came off of the bench for the Phoenix and kept them within a 35-point spread against a Duke team that went on to win the National Championship. This time around, on short rest with a much less experienced side, the No. 1 team in the land is going to find itself tripping up from an ATS standpoint against an Elon team that thinks that this is the Super Bowl. It won’t be an intimidating night to be a member of the visiting team for a rare change in Durham.

Elon vs. Duke Pick: Elon Phoenix +24
Elon vs. Duke Prediction: Duke 75 – Elon 68

Our official Vanderbilt Commodores vs. Xavier Musketeers pick is here at Cappers Info, as two great teams get set to square off on the college basketball odds. Join us for all of the great NCAA basketball predictions for what should be another great game on the college basketball schedule tonight!

Free College Basketball Picks: Vanderbilt Commodores @ Xavier Musketeers
Date: Thursday, December 6th, 7:30 ET
Location: Cintas Center, Cincinnati, OH
Vanderbilt vs. Xavier Live TV: ESPNU

BetGuardian

The Commodores have been a shockingly terrible team this year, and they are having all sorts of issues trying to score with the ball in their hands. They put up just 52 against the Villanova Wildcats over the weekend, and that marked the third time already in six games in which the Dores failed to score more than 52 in a game. The low point was probably a 33-point effort against the Marist Red Foxes. The X-Men meanwhile, haven’t been flawless by any stretch of the imagination. They did go on the road and beat the Purdue Boilermakers this past weekend, and they did play well in Anaheim over the Thanksgiving holiday, but wins haven’t been convincing, and each of the last five games that this team has played have been decided by six points or fewer. That being said, it seems awfully lofty that the Musketeers are laying double digits in this one, as G Kedren Johnson and the Commodores are going to just have to get into the 60s in this one. If that’s the case, they’ll cover the X-Men.

Vanderbilt vs. Xavier Pick: Vanderbilt Commodores +11.5
Vanderbilt vs. Xavier Prediction: Xavier 71 – Vanderbilt 64

The time is here for more of our sparkling CBB picks, as we look at the schedule for basketball for Thursday night. The Syracuse Orange and Long Beach State 49ers will have it in a nationally televised game, which can be seen on the college basketball TV schedule on ESPN2.

Free College Hoops Picks: Long Beach State 49ers @ Syracuse Orange
Date: Thursday, December 6th, 8:00 ET
Location: Carrier Dome, Syracuse, NY
Long Beach State vs. Syracuse Live TV: ESPN2

The Orange have been on a path of destruction this year that has not been matched. Earlier this week against the Eastern Michigan Eagles, the club put forth a fantastic effort, blowing up EMU 84-48 in a game that easily covered the 24-point NCAA basketball betting lines. This is a well-rounded team that essentially does everything well. F CJ Fair is only averaging 10.8 points per game, and he is the fourth leading scorer on the team, yet the Orange still have men like F James Southerland and G Michael Carter-Williams that have stepped it up in a huge way to pick up the slack. G Brandon Triche has been remarkable as well, averaging 15.0 points per game – and to think… he’s only shooting 26.1 percent from beyond the arc this year! Imagine when that picks up! Long Beach State is a team with a great pedigree, but it just isn’t the same team that we have seen over the course of the last few years. Four of the top five scorers from last year’s club are gone, and though the backcourt is still respectable with G James Ennis and G Mike Caffey, there is no doubting the fact that this team just doesn’t have the goods to come on the road and hang with the Orange.

Long Beach State vs. Syracuse Pick: Syracuse -20
Long Beach State vs. Syracuse Prediction: Syracuse 82 – Long Beach State 54

NBA picks are one of our specialties here at Cappers Info, and we are set to make our free Dallas Mavericks @ Phoenix Suns picks and predictions for what should be a great clash on Thursday night at US Airways Center.

Free NBA Picks: Dallas Mavericks @ Phoenix Suns
Date: Thursday, December 6th, 10:30 ET
Location: US Airways Center, Phoenix, AZ
NBA Betting Odds: Phoenix -3
Mavericks @ Suns On TV Live: TNT

We took the points last night with the Mavericks and ended up with egg on our face from the get go against the Los Angeles Clippers. We had a chance to watch most of that game, and we have a real concern about shot selection and how the ball is moving through this offense. G OJ Mayo just isn’t the type of guy that is going to be “the man” at any given moment, and when your leading scorers on the night are G Vince Carter and G Derek Fisher, you have some problems. Phoenix has to be happy to be back at home after four straight losses and a 1-5 road trip on the East Coast. The club did close out a home stand with a pair of victories against the New Orleans Hornets and the Portland Trail Blazers, and this seems to be a somewhat comparable matchup. We know that all seven of the top scorers on this team are going to continue to contribute on a regular basis, and as long as the team continues to play well-rounded ball, this doesn’t seem like a game that is going to end well for the visiting Mavs.

Mavericks @ Suns Pick: Phoenix Suns -3
Mavericks @ Suns Final Score Prediction: Suns 105 – Mavericks 100

The New York Knicks and the Miami Heat are going to square off in a Thursday night NBA betting affair on December 6th. Join us here at Cappers Info, as we make our predictions for basketball for what should be a great game on Thursday.

NBA Predictions: New York Knicks @ Miami Heat
Date: Thursday, December 6th, 8:00 ET
Location: American Airlines Arena, Miami, FL
NBA Betting Odds: Miami -7
Knicks vs. Heat NBA TV Schedule: TNT

The Heat and the Knicks are going to be doing battle on Thursday night, and this is clearly the showcase game of the bunch. This very well could be an Eastern Conference playoff showdown, and New York might be one of the few teams that really could knock this Miami team off in a short series. The Knicks are riding high into South Beach, having won four games in a row, scoring at least 100 points in each of those games. The problem is on the injury front, where F Carmelo Anthony might miss out with a finger injury. F Amare Stoudemire is already out for at least another two or three weeks. Meanwhile, the Heat have to be stewing. They haven’t been on the court since they were beaten 105-101 by the Washington Wizards two nights ago, and they had to listen about how vulnerable they were when they were beaten in that game. Yeah… Not so much. This is going to be a night when LeBron, coming off of a triple-double comes out and shines once again versus the Knicks, and G Dwyane Wade and F Chris Bosh should follow suit. We would be surprised to see anything less than a double digit romp on Thursday.

Knicks @ Heat NBA Pick: Miami Heat -7
Knicks @ Heat Score Prediction: Heat 114 – Knicks 102

NBA picks are one of our specialties here at Cappers Info, and we are set to make our free Denver Nuggets @ Portland Trail Blazers picks and predictions for what should be a great clash on Thursday night at Rose Garden.

Free NBA Picks: Denver Nuggets @ Portland Trail Blazers
Date: Thursday, December 20th, 10:00 ET
Location: Rose Garden, Portland, OR
NBA Betting Odds: No Line
Nuggets @ Trail Blazers On TV Live: NBA TV

The Nuggets have played just a slew of road games this year, and this is going to be one of the difficult ones on the road against a Portland team that historically plays really well here at the Rose Garden. We expect when the NBA odds come out in this one to see a point spread that is awfully close, though we know that the Blazers will be handicapped without the services of F LaMarcus Aldridge. It’s a tough draw at that point against a Denver team that is deep and has plenty of different options to throw the way of the Blazers. During this winning streak, Portland has played great defense and has gotten great play from its big men. This is going to be problematic tonight though, against a Denver team that is going to try to run it off of the court. Remember that the Nuggets have won three in a row as well, and they are used to playing on the road in these hostile environments this year. With Aldridge out, there is a huge piece to the puzzle missing for Portland, and Denver should be able to take full advantage of that for a fourth straight triumph.

Nuggets @ Trail Blazers Pick: Denver Nuggets
Nuggets @ Trail Blazers Final Score Prediction: Nuggets 105 – Trail Blazers 97

NBA betting action continues on Thursday night from Target Center, where the Minnesota Timberwolves will host the Oklahoma City Thunder in a battle on the NBA betting odds. Don’t miss out on this one, which should be a great clash. The NBA television schedule shows this 7:00 ET tip happening on TNT.

Free Basketball Picks: Oklahoma City Thunder @ Minnesota Timberwolves
Date: Thursday, December 20th, 7:00 ET
Location: Target Center, Minneapolis, MN
NBA Betting Odds: Oklahoma City -4
Thunder vs. Timberwolves Live TV: TNT

UCABet Banner

With this game, we immediately are drawn to the ‘over’. Four of the last five meetings in this series have resulted in games going past the ‘total’, including a 149-140 overtime game last year that easily eclipsed the number of 210. Oklahoma City has won 12 games in a row, and in all but one of those 12 games, it has scored at least 100 points. Yes, the defense has played formidable ball in that stretch as well, but the truth of the matter is that Minnesota should be able to at least remotely stick around and not get its doors totally blown off. If that’s the case, we have to remember that before going to the Sunshine State, where both the Orlando Magic and Miami Heat shut them down, the T’Wolves had scored at least 108 points in three straight games. G Ricky Rubio is back in the fold, and he has had a couple of games under his belt and a couple of days off at this point, and that’s only going to make this offense all the more efficient. We really don’t see a way that this one doesn’t get to at least 200.

Thunder @ Timberwolves Pick: Over 198
Thunder @ Timberwolves Prediction: Thunder 106 – Timberwolves 102

December 6th, 2012 By Jack Wilshire

I’ve been studying the ‘total’ for the New Orleans Bowl odds for quite some time, and I’m ready to make my New Orleans Bowl picks for the clash between the Louisiana Lafayette Ragin’ Cajuns and the East Carolina Pirates. The East Carolina vs. Louisiana Lafayette kickoff is set for 12:00 p.m. ET at Mercedes Benz Superdome in New Orleans, LA, and I’m going to show you which way to bet on college football to make your CFB pick on for this great game.

2012 New Orleans Bowl
East Carolina Pirates (8-4, 6-6 ATS) +5
LA Lafayette Ragin’ Cajuns (8-4, 7-5 ATS) -5
Over/Under 66

The first thing that I notice when I look at these two teams is just how many points that these two have put up of late. The last time the Pirates were on the field, they combined for 124 points with the Marshall Thundering Herd. They also put up at least 41 points in four of their last six games. The Cajuns have been a more consistent offensive team all season long, but in their last three games, all of which were wins, they scored at least 31 and averaged 39.3 points per game.

Digging a bit deeper though, neither of these teams might be the best team to back for the ‘over’. East Carolina only averaged running 71.8 snaps per game. In comparison, the Oregon Ducks averaged 81.6 snaps per game, while the South Carolina Gamecocks averaged 66.4 snaps per game. ULL? Just 65.7 snaps per game. If these averages hold up, that means that there has to be a point basically every other snap to get this one to the ‘total’, and I just don’t see that happening with two teams that don’t have much in the way of star power and explosive play power.

Get A 100% Sportsbook Bonus @ JustBet Sportsbook!

There are a couple of men that I’m afraid of. QB Terrance Broadway averaged 8.2 yards per offensive snap that he took this year, while WR Justin Hardy on the other side of the field for the Pirates averaged 6.9 receptions per game and was one of the top receivers in Conference USA this year. However, ECU also only barely had a 1,000-yard rusher in RB Vintavious Murray, and that came in a situation where the backfield really wasn’t split. QB Shane Carder didn’t even throw for 3,000 yards, and a 21/9 TD/INT ratio doesn’t scare me that much. So if you ask me, these two teams have been more lucky than good when it comes to scoring points this year, and as a result, this one probably isn’t going to ultimately get into the low-60s, let alone the high-60s to beat me.

East Carolina vs. Louisiana Lafayette Picks & Tips: Under 66

December 6th, 2012 By Jack Wilshire

Making sports betting picks is one of my specialties, and today at Cappers Info, I’m making my Thursday Football Tipster pick based upon the football trends and NFL odds for the Denver Broncos vs. Oakland Raiders game on Thursday, December 6th at the O.co Coliseum at 8:20 p.m. ET.

Denver Broncos (9-3, 6-6 ATS) -10.5
Oakland Raiders (3-9, 3-9 ATS) +10.5
Over/Under 48.5

AFC West rivals are going to meet up in Oakland on Thursday, and I just have a feeling that the sharp money has really been coming in on the Raiders for a reason. It doesn’t look like the sharpest play in the world, but digging a bit deeper shows that some of the sharpest sportsbooks are pulling this line down just a bit in spite of the fact that 54% of the bets are coming in on the Broncos internet-wide.

On top of that, doesn’t this one just scream for a backdoor cover? The Raiders have never given up in games this year, and they frequently score last no matter how lopsided the score is. QB Carson Palmer isn’t going to give up under any circumstance, and he is probably putting the ball in the air 40+ times. RB Darren McFadden could be back in the fold this week as well, and that might get the ground game going once again to boot.

There aren’t a lot of ATS trends that go my way in this series, but to win a divisional game on the road by double digits on a short week of preparation when the opponent thinks that this is the Super Bowl is a heck of a lot to undertake. Go with the Raiders and take the points, though I really don’t think that they have much of a chance whatsoever to ultimately win this game when push comes to shove.

Broncos @ Raiders Tips: Oakland Raiders +10.5

College Basketball Picks: Florida Gators @ Kansas State Wildcats

Florida vs. Kansas State Live TV: ESPN2

GT Bets Banner

Though technically a neutral site game, this is going to be essentially a road game for the orange and blue. The Gators had the Arizona Wildcats dead to rights last weekend before letting them off of the hook in the desert. Head Coach Billy Donovan knows that his team is going to want to get back on track in a hurry to reassert itself as perhaps the top contender in the SEC. Kansas State only has two losses this year as well though, and the two drops to the Gonzaga Bulldogs and Michigan Wolverines are nothing to be ashamed of. We’d really like to see KSU beat somebody, though we think this might be the spot for that to happen. G Rodney McGruder could be in for one of these big time days where he goes off for 20+ points, and if he does that, the Wildcats are going to have a chance of pulling off the upset. Look for him to lead the way, as Florida learns another tough lesson about going on the road in big time collegiate basketball.

Florida vs. Kansas State Pick: Kansas State Wildcats
Florida vs. Kansas State Prediction: Kansas State 71 – Florida 68

Our official Temple Owls vs. Syracuse Orange pick is here at Cappers Info, as two great teams get set to square off on the college basketball odds. Join us for all of the great NCAA basketball predictions for what should be another great game on the college basketball schedule tonight!

Free College Basketball Picks: Temple Owls vs. Syracuse Orange
Date: Saturday, December 22nd, 12:00 ET
Location: Madison Square Garden, New York, NY
Temple vs. Syracuse Live TV: ESPN2

BetGuardian

We have already seen Head Coach Fran Dunphy’s team go up against a Top 5 team on a neutral court, as the Owls were trumped by the Duke Blue Devils by 23 points in East Rutherford, NJ. Now, the team has to go to the Garden to take on the Cuse, who are still spotless this year at 10-0. We do give the Owls credit for getting out of the blocks in good shape, but the play of F Scootie Randall and G Khalif Wyatt can only go so far. Temple is an undersized team that is only outrebounding teams by 1.8 boards per game thus far this year, something that is sure to get worse, not better as the A-10 season approaches. Syracuse meanwhile, is +14.0 on the glass per game, and F Rakeem Christmas very well could be in for a huge day as a post defender. The Orange were tested earlier this week against the Detroit Titans, but they did crush the Canisius Golden Griffins and seven other teams prior to that. Look for this to be another comfortable victory for the Cuse.

Temple vs. Syracuse Pick: Syracuse Orange
Temple vs. Syracuse Prediction: Syracuse 88 – Temple 65
