The Hawks and the Wildcats have both had some bumps along the road this year, and it wouldn’t be all that surprising to see either of these teams drop. Villanova has a lot of work to do to get back to the prime spots in the Big East, and all of these losses to teams like Alabama and Columbia really doesn’t bode well for conference play. But first things first is a game against the Hawks. The good news is that St. Joe’s has only had a couple of losses this year against Florida State and Creighton, and neither loss is all that bad to account for. This is a tough roadie though, especially for a team that is really not all that deep. The Hawks just turn the ball over far too often, and that’s not going to likely do them any favors in the City of Brotherly Love against a team that has some experience, though not necessarily all that much in the way of talent.

St. Joseph’s vs. Villanova Pick: Villanova Wildcats
St. Joseph’s vs. Villanova Prediction: Villanova 71 – St. Joseph’s 60

The 2012 NFL schedule is back, and here at Cappers Info, we’ll be looking at some of the best games on the docket each and every week, as we try to make the most money possible off of the Week 14 odds for the NFL. Join us on Monday, as we make our Houston Texans @ New England Patriots free picks and predictions for what should be a great clash on the gridiron.

Week 14 NFL Picks: Houston Texans @ New England Patriots
Date: Monday, November 10th, 8:30 ET
Location: Gillette Stadium, Foxboro, MA
NFL Betting Odds: New England -3.5
Texans @ Patriots On TV: ESPN

My dearly beloved Texans are going to go on the road this week to take on the mighty Patriots in what will prove to be the most important regular season game in the history of the franchise. It feels like this is the type of game that New England is going to win and win going away; after all, that’s exactly what the team did to the Indianapolis Colts and so many of the other pretty good teams in the conference. However, this is going to be a close one for sure. The Texans aren’t going to be overmatched, and they aren’t going to be overwhelming coming on the road against one of the best teams in the game. They’re probably at least comparable, if not better than the Patriots, and they have a chance to essentially wrap up the No. 1 seed in the AFC if they can win this one. Look for QB Matt Schaub to uncork a few long ones, as WR Andre Johnson has just a tremendous game to pull off the upset of the 9-3 Pats on their home turf.

Texans @ Patriots Pick: Houston Texans +3.5
Texans @ Patriots Score Prediction: Houston 28 – New England 24

Of all of the games on the Monday 12/10 Week 14 NFL betting schedule, one of my favorite is the clash between the Houston Texans and the New England Patriots. Join me for my tips for this 8:30 p.m. ET kickoff that can be seen on ESPN.

Houston Texans (11-1, 8-4 ATS) +3.5
New England Patriots (9-3, 7-5 ATS) -3.5
Over/Under 51

Monday Night Football picks this week are relatively easy, as we think that we can tease just about anything and come up with a winner when push comes to shove. These two teams are on virtually level terms, and I find it interesting that Houston is actually considered the lesser of these two teams when you factor out home field advantage.

The Texans have really come to play against some of the best teams in the league this year. Throw out that game against the Bears that was played in the wind and rain, and the offense has put up 43 against Baltimore, 24 against Green Bay, and 31 against Denver. All three games made it past the ‘total’ with ease, and this shouldn’t be much of an exception either, because the Brady Bunch is going to get its scores.

Meanwhile, New England is going to be happy to be back at home, where it has scored 59 and 37 points over the course of the last two games. Look at the final scores of the two games against the best teams in the AFC that the Pats have played thus far: They beat the Broncos 31-21 and lost to the Ravens 31-30. This is going to be one of those games like the second one, where the Texans come out and keep this one close, and it’ll make it past the ‘total’ without any problems.

Texans @ Patriots Tips: 7-point teaser: Houston +10.5 w/ Over 44

Making sports betting picks is one of my specialties, and today at Cappers Info, I’m making my Sunday Football Tipster pick based upon the football trends and NFL odds for the Detroit Lions vs. Green Bay Packers game on Sunday, December 9th at Lambeau Field at 8:20 p.m. ET.

Detroit Lions (4-8, 5-7 ATS) +7
Green Bay Packers (8-4, 6-6 ATS) -7
Over/Under 48.5

The Packers and the Lions are two teams that have the potential to put on a show offensively, and we have seen it in games between these two before. For example, there were 86 points scored last year on New Year’s Day when these clubs met last year, but if you take that game out, there were games that featured 10 points, 42 points, and 44 points. This one isn’t going to be an exception to that low scoring rule, I would think.

I’m just not buying into the Lions right now at all offensively. They’re a one-man show with WR Calvin Johnson, but even if he goes off for 10 catches, 250 yards, and 3 scores, there’s still only 21 points on the board to show for all of that work. The Packers too, have been down offensively of late as well. They haven’t exceeded more than 24 points in three straight games, and I really don’t think they’re going to be able to do that again in this one.

Three out of four and five out of seven have failed to reach the ‘total’ in this series, and the snow and the wind isn’t going to help matters any. It’s going to be tough to move the ball up and down the field, and though there will be some big plays, there just won’t be enough consistent plays to put this many points on the board.

Lions @ Packers Tips: Under 48.5

NFL betting fans are running to their online sportsbooks to place their Detroit Lions vs. Green Bay Packers bets and predictions, and here at Cappers Info, we are making our Sunday football picks for this encounter.

Week 14 Football Picks: Detroit Lions @ Green Bay Packers
Date: Sunday, December 9th, 8:20 ET
Location: Lambeau Field, Green Bay, WI
NFL Betting Lines: Green Bay -7
Lions vs. Packers On TV: NBC

These two NFC North rivals are going to be squaring off on Football Night in America this week, and there is a clear divide between these two teams. The Packers might be the squarer of these two teams, but they’re going to win this one going away by more than a touchdown. QB Aaron Rodgers should have himself a great game playing against a team that he has normally terrorized, and he should make up for a bad effort when he threw for just 236 yards and two TDs when these two teams met a few weeks ago. Detroit has been a tough luck team over the course of the last few weeks, losing all three games, and it has a real chance to just fall on its face. QB Matthew Stafford and WR Calvin Johnson can only do so much, and they are going to be on the short side of the stick in this one.

Lions @ Packers Pick: Green Bay Packers -7
Detroit @ Green Bay Score Prediction: Green Bay 35 – Detroit 20

CappersInfo is back with its BYU Cougars vs. Baylor Bears picks and predictions, as we look to give you all of the college basketball advice and tips that you need to beat your online sportsbook for this crucial Friday night tilt.

College Basketball Picks: BYU Cougars @ Baylor Bears
Date: Friday, December 21st, 9:00 ET
Location: Ferrell Center, Waco, TX
BYU vs. Baylor Live TV: ESPN2

Baylor and BYU are very similar teams that are going to put up very similar seasons. We’ve seen the Bears drop to teams like Charleston, Colorado, and Northwestern this year, but we have also seen them go on the road and beat Kentucky. The speed of the team is definitely something that has to be concerning for the Cougs, but in the end, G Pierre Jackson and the gang can really get the job done if need be. BYU is averaging 77.1 points per game as well though, and it has a few monsters in the post. Don’t mess with G Tyler Haws or F Brandon Davies, as these are two of the best players in the entire nation. They are averaging 20.3 and 19.2 points per game respectively. Each of the five starters on this club are averaging over a steal per game, and Davies already has 20 rejections to boot. We think that BYU is going to come on the road and test the Bears, and we’ll get too many points on our side, knowing that Baylor is still living on the back of that win in Lexington.

BYU vs. Baylor Pick: BYU Cougars
BYU vs. Baylor Prediction: Baylor 78 – BYU 75

The Washington Huskies and the Boise State Broncos are going to square off on the Las Vegas Bowl odds and betting lines. Join us here at Cappers Info, as we make our Las Vegas Bowl picks & predictions for football for what should be a great game on Saturday.

Las Vegas Bowl Picks: Washington Huskies vs. Boise State Broncos
Date: Saturday, December 22nd, 3:30 ET
Location: Sam Boyd Stadium, Las Vegas, NV
Las Vegas Bowl Betting Odds: Boise State -5.5
Washington vs. Boise State Live TV: ESPN

The Broncos have to get tired of the Las Vegas Bowl, knowing that this is the third straight year that they are coming to Sin City. That being said, this have won and covered both of the last two games against Pac-12 teams, and they have a great history of playing against the big conference boys. Washington though, has had a great under Head Coach Steve Sarkisian, as the team stuck around last year against the Heisman Trophy winner, QB Robert Griffin III and the Baylor Bears in the Alamo Bowl, and it pulled off the upset of the Nebraska Cornhuskers in the 2010 Holiday Bowl as double digit underdogs in a dominating performance.

Bovada Sportsbook

The difference this year with the Broncos is that they aren’t nearly as good as they were in years past. Yes, they won 10 games again this year, but they weren’t nearly as dominating in doing so, especially with the losses to what turned out to be pretty average or above average Michigan State and San Diego State outfits. QB Joe Southwick is definitely not QB Kellen Moore by any stretch of the imagination, and if not for the defense, Southwick probably would have lost his job. It just doesn’t cut it to throw for just 2,466 yards and 17 TDs when you’re playing for a team that could have busted the BCS.

Meanwhile, the Huskies were a 7-5 team this year that played against a truly hellacious schedule. Not only did they play in the Pac-12, where they had to take on a number of fantastic teams, but they scheduled the LSU Tigers in Baton Rouge as well. In spite of all of this, the club allowed just 353 yards and 23.8 points per game. The offense has shown its potential over the years, and RB Bishop Sankey and QB Keith Price could put a lot of points on the board in spite of the fact that the unit only scored 35 total touchdowns on the campaign. We definitely want the points on our side in this one, and we wouldn’t be surprised if this game ends in an upset.

Washington vs. Boise State Pick: Washington Huskies +5.5
Las Vegas Bowl Score Prediction: Washington 24 – Boise State 20
