December 16th, 2012 By Jack Wilshire

Of all of the games on the Monday 12/17 Week 15 NFL betting schedule, one of my favorite is the clash between the New York Jets and the Tennessee Titans. Join me for my tips for this 8:30 p.m. ET kickoff that can be seen on ESPN.

New York Jets (6-7, 7-6 ATS) +2
Tennessee Titans (4-9, 4-9 ATS) -2
Over/Under 41.5

The Titans are really starting to air it out over the course of the last few weeks, and they are hitting a few of those deep shots that really could make a game get to the ‘total’ relatively quickly. Don’t mistake this for a good offensive team, as it isn’t quite yet, but there are some dynamic players on this club that can really get the job done when push comes to shove.

I just love the fact that the public is destroying the ‘under’ in this very public game. The Jets are looked at as a team that just won’t score any points whatsoever, but we have to remember that Tennessee allowed 24 points or more in three straight losses. Odds have it, New York is going to get at least somewhere near that number when push comes to shove. We also have to remember that the Jets have played against some relatively good defensive teams over the course of the last few weeks, and against those teams that aren’t that great defensively (I’m looking at you Houston, Indy, New England, and St. Louis), the club has averaged 24.8 points per game.

This isn’t going to be the prettiest game in the world, and it isn’t going to be a dead nuts ‘over’ from the get go, but when push comes to shove, you might be ultimately surprised when you see right around 45 points on the board when this one is said and done with. Remember that two straight and three out of four in this series have all gone past the number, and the Jets have scored at least 23 points in five of the last six against Tennessee.

Jets @ Titans Tips: Over 41.5

The New Orleans Bowl is one of the great games of the season on the 2012 bowl schedule, and today, we are making our East Carolina vs. Louisiana Lafayette picks and predictions and trying to beat the New Orleans Bowl odds here at Cappers Info.

New Orleans Bowl Picks: East Carolina Pirates vs. Louisiana Lafayette Ragin’ Cajuns
Date: Saturday, December 22nd, 12:00 ET
Location: Mercedes Benz Superdome, New Orleans, LA
New Orleans Bowl Betting Odds: Louisiana Lafayette -5
East Carolina vs. Louisiana Lafayette Live TV Coverage: ESPN

Last season, the Ragin’ Cajuns played in their first ever bowl game, and they walked away with a win over the San Diego State Aztecs in this very game. Now, they’re back in the Bayou in a de facto home game with an entirely new looking team, but the results really might ultimately be the same against an East Carolina team that feels like it was a weak 8-4 this year. Remember that the Pirates didn’t beat a single team this year that went on to play in a bowl game, as they merely beat up on all of the bad teams in Conference USA.

Even against this lousy schedule, the Pirates really didn’t have much in the way of star players. QB Shane Carden threw for 2,838 yards and 21 TDs against nine picks for the campaign, though he did add eight rushing TDs to that. WR Justin Hardy was great this year, accounting for 1,046 yards and 10 trips to the end zone, while RB Vintavious Cooper rushed for 1,035 yards and seven scores. If you take out these two men though, there wasn’t a man that had more than 354 receiving yards or more than 283 rushing yards.

There were some defensive problems this year, especially in the secondary for the Ragin’ Cajuns, but they made up for it with a surprisingly balanced offense that was able to get some points on the board against some of the best teams in the land. QB Terrance Broadway took over under center for QB Blaine Gautier for the final nine games of the campaign, and he made the most of it. He is an exciting player that threw for 2,526 yards and rushed for 661 yards, and he accounted for 24 total scores. RB Alonzo Harris and RB Effrem Reed are both capable of finding the end zone, and four different receivers had at least 500 yards through the air. The balance is just better for the Cajuns, and they have the home field advantage as well. They should win this one by at least a touchdown.

East Carolina vs. Louisiana Lafayette Pick: Louisiana Lafayette Ragin’ Cajuns -5
New Orleans Bowl Score Prediction: Louisiana Lafayette 37 – East Carolina 21

Week 15 pointspreads are out, and here at Cappers Info, we are set to analyze the NFL odds for one of the top games on the slate. The Indianapolis Colts vs. Houston Texans odds are posted, and we are set to make our NFL picks for another great game.

Week 15 NFL Picks: Indianapolis Colts @ Houston Texans
Date: Sunday, December 16th, 1:00 ET
Location: Reliant Stadium, Houston, TX
Week 15 Betting Odds: Houston -10
Indianapolis vs. Houston Live TV: CBS

Contrary to popular belief, the sky isn’t falling in Houston at this point. Sure, the loss last week to the Patriots was brutal, but the Texans clearly aren’t the only team in the game to end up getting crushed by the Pats. Oh look, another one of those teams is in town this weekend in Reliant Stadium! The Colts have been magical all year long, but this is the opportunity that the Texans have been waiting for all year long. They can put the AFC South away once and for all this week and do so in emphatic fashion. Indy has been great, but the team is just 3-3 this year on the road, and those wins came against Detroit (and that took coming back from 12 down with less than five minutes to play), Jacksonville, and Tennessee (and that took a comeback to win in OT as well). Yes, the Texans haven’t beaten a lot of fantastic teams this year, but they have beaten the teams on their slate and beaten most of them by at least two TDs. That sounds about right on Sunday.

Colts @ Texans Pick: Houston Texans -10
Colts @ Texans Score Prediction: Houston 27 – Indianapolis 14

The 2012 NFL season is back, and here at Cappers Info, we’ll be looking at some of the best games on the docket each and every week, as we try to make the most money possible off of the NFL odds for the week. Join us on Sunday, as we make our San Francisco 49ers @ New England Patriots free picks and predictions for what should be a great clash on the gridiron.

Week 15 NFL Picks: San Francisco 49ers @ New England Patriots
Date: Sunday, December 16th, 8:20 ET
Location: Gillette Stadium, Foxboro, MA
NFL Betting Odds: New England -4.5
49ers vs. Patriots On TV: NBC

If the 49ers want to make a statement, this is the night for them to make it. They’re on the road, clear across the country, against a New England team that just blew out the squad that is most likely to be the No. 1 seed in the playoffs in the AFC. This is a tougher game for New England in our eyes though, as the Niners are able to run the ball efficiently and don’t give up on it like Houston ultimately did last week. QB Colin Kaepernick is a dynamic quarterback that could give the Patriots fits. RB Frank Gore could be in for a nice day, as he has been conserved for most of the season for moments like this one when he is truly needed. The Niners haven’t played well in this series over the years, but this is a new time with a new coach and a totally new system in place. Don’t be all that shocked if this game ends in an upset, as the 49ers have the ability to come on the road and win this game.

San Francisco 49ers @ New England Patriots Pick: San Francisco 49ers +4.5
San Francisco 49ers @ New England Patriots Score Prediction: San Francisco 24 – New England 21

The Denver Broncos and the Baltimore Ravens are going to square off in Week 15 of the NFL betting campaign. Join us here at Cappers Info, as we make our predictions for football for what should be a great game on Sunday.

Week 15 NFL Picks: Denver Broncos @ Baltimore Ravens
Date: Sunday, December 16th, 1:00 ET
Location: M&T Bank Stadium, Baltimore, MD
Week 15 Betting Odds: Denver -3
Broncos vs. Ravens Live TV: CBS

We were ready an article this morning by the Sports Guy over at Grantland, and there was a heck of a point that was made about the Broncos this year. Who in the heck have they beaten? They have a 10-3 record, and if the playoffs were to start right at this very moment, they have a grand total of one win against a playoff team (@ Cincinnati in a game that was always touch and go). Is Denver the better of these two teams? Probably. But does the better team always win, especially when it has to go on the road into a hostile environment against a team that very well could be feeling like it is playing for its life? The Ravens have lost two in a row, but they have lost those two games by a combined six points, and the only game this year that they were beaten by more than a field goal was the brutal loss in Houston. This could be the game that really shake up the AFC playoff race. Go with Baltimore at home to keep its hopes for the top seed in the conference alive.

Broncos @ Ravens Pick: Baltimore Ravens +3
Broncos @ Ravens Score Prediction: Baltimore 24 – Denver 21

NFL betting fans are running to their online sportsbooks to place their Carolina Panthers vs. San Diego Chargers bets and predictions, and here at Cappers Info, we are making our Sunday football picks for this encounter.

Week 15 Football Picks: Carolina Panthers @ San Diego Chargers
Date: Sunday, December 16th, 4:05 ET
Location: Qualcomm Stadium, San Diego, CA
NFL Betting Lines: San Diego -3
Panthers vs. Chargers On TV: FOX

Are the Chargers on the road to another strong finish to the season? We think that we got a good idea that the team is going to do just that in spite of the fact that Head Coach Norv Turner is clearly on the way out at the end of the campaign. The team’s playoff hopes came to an end when the Bengals won on Thursday Night Football this week. QB Philip Rivers might be playing for his job over the course of the final few games of the season. He is turning the ball over far too much, though he did have a good game against the Pittsburgh Steelers last week. Carolina was able to knock off the Atlanta Falcons last week at home, but on the road this year, this team really hasn’t been able to win games for the most part. This is going to be another one of these heartbreaking games for a talented Panthers outfit that will find a way to drop by virtue of a late score allowed or a late turnover in a crucial spot.

Panthers @ Chargers Pick: San Diego Chargers -3
Carolina @ San Diego Score Prediction: San Diego 24 – Carolina 20

Week 15 pointspreads are out, and here at Cappers Info, we are set to analyze the NFL odds for one of the top games on the slate. The Kansas City Chiefs vs. Oakland Raiders odds are posted, and we are set to make our NFL picks for another great game.

Week 15 NFL Picks: Kansas City Chiefs @ Oakland Raiders
Date: Sunday, December 16th, 1:00 ET
Location: O.co Coliseum, Oakland, CA
Week 15 Betting Odds: Oakland -3
Kansas City vs. Oakland Live TV: CBS

Do we really have to try to handicap this game? It’s really that bad of an outing between a pair of teams that stink out loud. The Chiefs have won just twice all year long, but we think that they are on to something at the end of the campaign. QB Brady Quinn is playing for his life in the NFL, as he might not only just not make it as a starter in the near future, but he might not make it at all if he continues to truly struggle. The Raiders have no defense whatsoever, but at least they’re putting up some fun numbers in the passing game! The road team has won four in a row and nine out of 10 in this series, and the underdogs have covered 12 in a row dating all the way back to 2006. We’re not ones to buck trends like that, especially when both of these teams are just ridiculously unpredictably bad.

Chiefs @ Raiders Pick: Kansas City Chiefs +3
Chiefs @ Raiders Score Prediction: Kansas City 27 – Oakland 21

The 2012 NFL schedule is back, and here at Cappers Info, we’ll be looking at some of the best games on the docket each and every week, as we try to make the most money possible off of the Week 15 odds for the NFL. Join us on Sunday, as we make our Seattle Seahawks @ Buffalo Bills free picks and predictions for what should be a great clash on the gridiron.

Week 15 NFL Picks: Seattle Seahawks @ Buffalo Bills
Date: Sunday, December 16th, 4:05 ET
Location: Rogers Centre, Toronto, Ontario, Canada
NFL Betting Odds: Seattle -5.5
Seahawks @ Bills On TV: CBS

The Bills and the Seahawks really aren’t on level terms according to the standings, but when you really dig deeper, they really aren’t that different. The Seahawks have lost some tight games, and they have played better ball of late, but they won a ton of close games at the outset of the season, and they should have lost that Monday Night Football game against the Green Bay Packers. Buffalo has had some games this year that have resulted in blowouts, but there have been some games that ended in blowouts in the other direction as well. Last week’s loss was a crucial one though, as it was the one that ended any hopes that the team had of getting into the second season. However, the trip to Toronto is going to put RB CJ Spiller on a fast track, as opposed to in the poor weather conditions that the Bills have had over the course of the last two weeks. Don’t be shocked if Spiller has a great day against the Seattle defense, as the Seahawks crash back to earth when playing in the Great White North.

Seahawks @ Bills Pick: Buffalo Bills +5.5
Seahawks @ Bills Score Prediction: Buffalo 28 – Seattle 17

December 16th, 2012 By Jack Wilshire

Of all of the games on the Sunday 12/16 Week 15 NFL betting schedule, one of my favorite is the clash between the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Miami Dolphins. Join me for my tips for this 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff that can be seen on CBS.

Jacksonville Jaguars (2-11, 6-7 ATS) +7.5
Miami Dolphins (5-8, 6-7 ATS) -7.5
Over/Under 37.5

Just because you’ve been playing competitive ball against some good teams does most certainly not mean that you should be laying more than a touchdown under any circumstance against a team that has been a lot better than a 2-11 record suggests this year. Unfortunately for the oddsmakers, they just haven’t figured that part of this out.

The Jags have at least been trying hard to stay in games, and I urge you to remember that this game is the Super Bowl to QB Chad Henne. He would love nothing more than to come back to South Beach and stick it to the team that cut him. WR Cecil Shorts will be back in the fold, which gives Jacksonville a deep threat to get the ball to as well.

I’m going to stick with a teaser in this one, knowing that I’m going to be getting just a stupid amount of points with the Jaguars against a team that has only won two games all year by more than four points. Miami might win it, but if it does, it isn’t going to be with more than 24 points or so on the board in all likelihood. If that’s the case, I really like my chances of this one coming in, as two professional teams should be getting to at least 31 combined points a whole heck of a lot more often than not. This is the game that pro bettors thrive on from a teasing standpoint.

Jaguars @ Dolphins Tips: 7-point teaser: Jacksonville +14.5 w/ Over 30.5

NFL betting fans are running to their online sportsbooks to place their Washington Redskins vs. Cleveland Browns bets and predictions, and here at Cappers Info, we are making our Sunday football picks for this encounter.

Week 15 Football Picks: Washington Redskins @ Cleveland Browns
Date: Sunday, December 16th, 1:00 ET
Location: Cleveland Browns Stadium, Cleveland, OH
NFL Betting Lines: Washington -1
Redskins vs. Browns On TV: FOX

This is obviously a tough one to handicap, knowing that the status of QB Robert Griffin III is still up in the air and likely will be until right around game time on Sunday. However, what we definitely can work with is the fact that the Browns have been pretty darn good over the course of the last few games. Granted, they really haven’t beaten any of the truly big boys, but their playoff chances are at least still somewhat existent. Winning this one and getting some help can at least keep them alive, though obviously, that’s really not a realistic goal at this point. QB Brandon Weeden and RB Trent Richardson are getting better and better, and this team is trying to prove that it is perhaps an elite receiver and a couple offensive linemen away from really being dynamic. Washington has been great, but this is a tough road test against one of these teams that is going to stay hungry for the rest of the year. We think that the Browns are going to win their final home game of the year, regardless of whether it is RG3 or QB Kirk Cousins calling the shots for the Skins.

Redskins @ Browns Pick: Cleveland Browns +1
Washington @ Cleveland Score Prediction: Cleveland 19 – Washington 16

The 2012 NFL season is back, and here at Cappers Info, we’ll be looking at some of the best games on the docket each and every week, as we try to make the most money possible off of the NFL odds for the week. Join us on Sunday, as we make our Minnesota Vikings @ St. Louis Rams free picks and predictions for what should be a great clash on the gridiron.

Week 15 NFL Picks: Minnesota Vikings @ St. Louis Rams
Date: Sunday, December 16th, 1:00 ET
Location: Edward Jones Dome, St. Louis, MO
NFL Betting Odds: St. Louis -2.5
Vikings vs. Rams On TV: FOX

When it looks like a fish and it smells like a fish, more often than not, it’s probably fishy. The Vikings really feel like they should be favored in this game. They beat a very good Chicago team last week, and they have the best running back in the league in RB Adrian Peterson. They’re playing against a St. Louis team that, in spite of its last three games all being wins, really haven’t put together fantastic offensive performances. However, the defense in all of these games has been great, and the unit has allowed just a total of 42 points in those triumphs. Heck, there are a few touchdowns by DB Janoris Jenkins in there, too. QB Sam Bradford isn’t great, but he’s better than QB Christian Ponder at this point, and we think that off of the win last week against the Bears, the emotion is going to be sucked out of the Vikes. Look for St. Louis to makes its stand by winning this game and staying alive in the chase for the last playoff spots in the NFC.

Minnesota Vikings @ St. Louis Rams Pick: St. Louis Rams -1.5
Minnesota Vikings @ St. Louis Rams Score Prediction: St. Louis 20 – Minnesota 16

December 16th, 2012 By Jack Wilshire

Making sports betting picks is one of my specialties, and today at Cappers Info, I’m making my Sunday Football Tipster pick based upon the football trends and NFL odds for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. New Orleans Saints game on Sunday, December 16th at Mercedes Benz Superdome at 1:00 p.m. ET.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers (6-7, 9-3-1 ATS) +3.5
New Orleans Saints (5-8, 6-7 ATS) -3.5
Over/Under 53

I hate playing with the public, and I especially hate playing with the public in games in which the line is moving against what I figure. However, in this case, I’m going to make an exception and go purely with my gut as opposed to what the numbers say, which is something that is totally rare for me to do.

The Saints know that their season is over. They have lost three games in a row, and they really have given up on the idea of getting into the playoffs since 8-8 isn’t going to get the job done. Meanwhile, Tampa Bay had its sights set on the second season up until last week when it was beaten on the final play of the game by the Eagles. How on earth do you come back from a game like that to go on the road against a division rival to get the job done?

Simply put, you don’t. The Bucs just aren’t going to be able to do this. The Saints sort of feel like they have a score to settle with Tampa Bay after losing to this team twice in this building in the last three years, and that just isn’t going to cut it. I really think that this game is going to look a heck of a lot like last year’s Tampa Bay/Atlanta game, where the Bucs just lied down and died. Just in case they don’t know, I’m also going to make the hedging bet that should be relatively easy as well.

Buccaneers @ Saints Tips: New Orleans Saints -3.5 & New Orleans Saints Over 28.5 Points
