The Orange are off to a 9-0 SU and 6-0 ATS start this year, and at some point, all of these covers just have to stop happening. This seems like a decent night for that to happen in spite of the fact that the Titans have been a terrible road team at the outset of this season. However, we know that Detroit isn’t going to be intimidated. The club already came on the road to St. John’s and lost by just three (as 2.5-point underdogs, though) and to Pittsburgh and lost by 13, so it knows that it can hang with these big boys. The team has won four straight games, scoring at least 79 in all of those outings, and it can run with the Orange for sure. Syracuse is a great team, but this is a long week of games and is the biggest challenge that the club has had since going on the road to the Arkansas Razorbacks at the end of November. It’s not like the ‘Cuse are going to lose this one outright, but the time is now for them to get at least a little bit of a competitive nudge against a team that does have some talent on it.

Detroit vs. Syracuse Pick: Detroit Titans +19
Detroit vs. Syracuse Prediction: Syracuse 83 – Detroit 72

NBA betting action continues on Monday night from Madison Square Garden, where the New York Knicks will host the Houston Rockets in a battle on the NBA betting odds. Don’t miss out on this one, which should be a great clash. The NBA television schedule shows this 7:30 ET tip happening on NBA TV.

The Knicks haven’t been beaten all that often this year, but the biggest thrashing that they took all year long was a 131-103 romp in the Lone Star State against these Rockets. In that game, everything was going right for Houston, as the team shot 56 percent from long range and 52 percent from the floor. It was actually the sixth straight win and the sixth straight cover in this series for Houston. That’s going to come to an end on Monday night at the Garden, though. Do keep a close eye on the status of F Carmelo Anthony. Obviously, if he’s not in the fold, we don’t recommend laying double digits worth of points. But even without him, New York has played well this year. The team has won four straight games, and it has scored at least 100 in all of those efforts. The team has had at least 36 shots from the field in all of those games as well, proving that it is more than just Melo that is carrying this offense. It’s more about revenge than anything else for New York though, and that’s why we think that the Rockets are going to be in for a whooping, especially after going 0-7 SU and 0-6-1 ATS in its last seven road games.

Rockets @ Knicks Pick: New York Knicks -9
Rockets @ Knicks Prediction: Knicks 112 – Rockets 97

NFL betting fans are running to their online sportsbooks to place their Atlanta Falcons vs. Detroit Lions bets and predictions, and here at Cappers Info, we are making our Saturday football picks for this encounter.

Week 16 Football Picks: Atlanta Falcons @ Detroit Lions
Date: Saturday, December 22nd, 8:30 ET
Location: Ford Field, Detroit, MI
NFL Betting Lines: Atlanta -3.5
Falcons vs. Lions On TV: ESPN

Tricky oddsmakers! They have set a line in this one that is as square as could be, and we are going to take the utmost advantage of it. The truth of the matter is that the Lions would have probably been +1 or +2 had they beaten the Arizona Cardinals last week. Instead, what happened is that they came out, laid an ugly egg, and now, everyone thinks that they have given up. The Falcons played the game of their lives last week against the Giants, and they are just not going to have the energy for this one. Remember that over the course of their last three road games, the Dirty Birds were clipped by both the Carolina Panthers and New Orleans Saints, and they should have lost to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to boot. That’s just not good enough for us. WR Calvin Johnson will have a big time day, and the offense for Atlanta will end up taking the night off, and in the end, the Lions get back on track and finally beat one of these top level teams after losing to three in a row at home by a combined nine points.

Falcons @ Lions Pick: Detroit Lions +3.5
Atlanta @ Detroit Score Prediction: Detroit 27 – Atlanta 17

Making sports betting picks is one of my specialties, and today at Cappers Info, I’m making my Saturday Football Tipster pick based upon the football trends and NFL odds for the Atlanta Falcons vs. Detroit Lions game on Saturday, December 22nd at Ford Field at 8:30 p.m. ET.

Atlanta Falcons (12-2, 8-5-1 ATS) -3.5
Detroit Lions (4-10, 5-9 ATS) +3.5
Over/Under 50.5

What a predictable matchup this is going to ultimately be! I just know that the Lions have nothing left to play for this year, and anything less than literally 20 targets headed to WR Calvin Johnson would shock the heck out of me. Normally speaking, I’d be one to say that a team that has a single-minded game plan is in a lot of trouble, but with the all-time single season receiving record just 181 yards away, there is no doubt that this could ultimately be the answer to getting just a slew of points up on the board.

The Lions have no defense whatsoever. Don’t believe me? They just gave up 38 freaking points to the Arizona Cardinals. This unit has given up on the campaign, and I have zero doubt that the dead minimum the Falcons put up on the board in this one is 27points. (And it wouldn’t shock me if it were 47 points.) Atlanta pitched a shutout last week, but it gave up 30 the week before to the Carolina Panthers.

In the end, this is simple math for me. The Falcons need to score 30. The Lions need to score 21. Just as we saw the Atlanta defense bounce back last week after getting embarrassed by the Panthers to shut out the New York Giants, we will see the offense for the Lions bounce back after getting embarrassed by the Cardinals to put a respectable number of points on the board. It’s just really difficult, in spite of the relatively high number, to not see this one getting there when push comes to shove.

Falcons @ Lions Tips: Over 50.5

NFL betting fans are running to their online sportsbooks to place their New York Jets vs. Tennessee Titans bets and predictions, and here at Cappers Info, we are making our Monday football picks for this encounter.

Week 15 Football Picks: New York Jets @ Tennessee Titans
Date: Monday, December 17th, 8:30 ET
Location: LP Field, Nashville, TN
NFL Betting Lines: Tennessee -1
Jets vs. Titans On TV: ESPN

When you really sit down and look at what the Jets have done this year, there have to be some points where you have to be impressed. The team has already played against QB Tom Brady twice, and it still ranks third in the NFL against the pass. The ground game at least looks like it is a bit dynamic as well with RB Bilal Powell start to shine. Sure, the passing game is a disaster, and the 6-7 record makes this team look like a joke, but when you really dig deeper, you see what the clear choice is to make in this game. The Jets are 1-6 SU and 3-4 ATS against teams that are going to be in the playoffs this year. Against teams that aren’t going to be in the playoffs, they’re 5-1 SU and 4-2 ATS. It’s just a clear choice. The only reason the oddsmakers are putting all of this stock into a Tennessee team that is 1-4 SU and 1-4 ATS in its last five games is because the perception is there that the Jets are train wrecks. They’re bad. They have just barely coasted by in a number of games. But they’re still playing well against the teams that they should be playing well against, and they’ll get the job done here at LP Field to stay within a game of that last playoff spot with just two to play.

Jets @ Titans Pick: New York Jets +1
New York @ Tennessee Score Prediction: New York 20 – Tennessee 17
