There is no doubt that the Bearcats and the Musketeers hate each other, and we are just over a year away from last year’s brawl. This is going to be a brutal one. It’s not just that the teams brawled last year, but it’s that last season’s game ended in a 76-53 blowout. Cincinnati is a 10-0 team this year, though it really hasn’t played all that much of a schedule at this point in the season. Xavier has a tremendously efficient team, shooting 49.9 percent from the floor, but F Justin Harper has a head injury that could keep him out of the fold in this one. The Musketeers haven’t beaten many teams of note either, and they have losses to both Vanderbilt and Pacific thus far on the campaign. G Sean Kilpatrick and G Cashmere Wright and G JaQuon Parker all remember last year’s game against the X-Men, and they are back to prove a big time point in this one. Don’t be all that shocked if some of the bad blood boils over into a big time game for the Bearcats, as they should get some revenge for last year’s game by blowing away Xavier.

Giving 30.5 points to an Ivy League team really just isn’t all that fair for the most part, and we think that tonight is going to be no exception to that. The Big Red have been particularly bad this year, losing by 23 to Stony Brook and 33 to Wisconsin. However, on the road against a team that has to play once again tomorrow night and can’t quite possibly be all that interested in this one, we don’t see results that bad happening again. The Big Red haven’t allowed anyone to score more than 78 points against it this year, and if that turns out to stay the case in this one, it is going to be tough to see how the Blue Devils are going to win by 30+. Look for F Shonn Miller to keep the Ivy Leaguers in this game for at least a little bit, as Duke pulls out the starters with a 15-20 point lead late on, and never gets in front of this number.

One of the top teams in NBA betting action will be back on the court on Wednesday, as Memphis takes on Milwaukee in this very interesting duel. It’s a low ‘total’ for sure, and a lot of that is thanks to the fact that both of these teams have great ‘under’ records this year. Milwaukee is 13-9-1 towards the ‘under’, while Memphis is 14-8 against the number. The Bucks haven’t been terrible offensively of late, as they have put up at least 98 points in five of their last seven games. If they do that again in this one, there is no doubt whatsoever that they are going to push this game past the number. Memphis’ defense is great, but the offense could find itself some real holes in middle. Both F Zach Randolph and C Marc Gasol could end up having huge nights on both sides of the court. Don’t be shocked if this one gets past a very low ‘total’ with both teams getting into at least the mid-90s.

The Knicks and the Nets are going to do battle for the third time this year, and the games have been awfully competitive. This is the second time in just eight nights that the two will meet, and it comes on the heels of losses for both teams. The Knicks are hoping to pull six up in the Atlantic Division, a huge lead at this point in the campaign. These two teams can’t ever seem to get totally healthy against one another. Eight days ago, it was C Brook Lopez that was out of the fold for the Nets. Now, it is anyone’s guess as to whether this will be the night that F Carmelo Anthony is going to be back for the Knicks. Regardless, it’s difficult to ignore the fact that New York has struggled so much in this series this year in spite of the fact that it has one of the best records in basketball. The defense for the Nets just finds a way to slow down the Knicks and their run and gun attack. The hosts won’t get off 90 shots in this game, and as a result, an upset realistically could be in the cards, especially if Anthony isn’t going to get into the lineup.
