Both the Stags and the Greyhounds are going to be competing for the MAAC’s bid to the dance this year, and both teams will stake a strong claim to this game. Fairfield is in the midst of a long road trip that has already featured three wins, but the most recent game was lost to the Niagara Purple Eagles. Loyola has won back to back home games to start off in conference play this year, but this is a significantly bigger challenge than dealing with the St. Peter’s Peacocks and the Rider Broncs. Both of these teams have awfully similar stats this year, namely how the two teams are averaging 61.2 and 61.1 points per game. Keep an eye on the four main stars for the Greyhounds, especially F Erik Etherly, who has been hot of late with 24, 21, and 15 points in his last three games. We expect to see the Pups hold serve tonight at home.
