We’re coming off of another average week of CFL betting action of the year, which moves us to 33-35 ATS on the season. This week presents yet another opportunity to inch our way back towards the .500 mark this year. Join us for our CFL playoff picks!
Hamilton Tiger-Cats @ Montreal Alouettes Picks
CFL Odds: Montreal -5.5
CFL Lines: Over/Under 55.5
The Alouettes and the Tiger-Cats have played some interesting games over the course of this season, and for the most part, it has been one-way traffic in favor of the Ti-Cats. For whatever reason, QB Anthony Calvillo and company just haven’t been able to put games away down the stretch this year, and the Als are coming into this one on a three game skid, any of which could have earned them a first round bye in the playoffs. Hamilton didn’t even finish .500 this year, but it really tanked it at the end of the regular season when things didn’t mean a whole heck of a lot. We wouldn’t be surprised if the underdogs come on the road and take care of business to move on to the East Division Final next week against the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. We certainly want the points on our side. Free CFL Picks: Hamilton +5.5
Calgary Stampeders @ Edmonton Eskimos Picks
CFL Odds: Edmonton -2
CFL Lines: Over/Under 51.5
Unlike in the East, where seemingly everyone limped into the playoffs, in the West, virtually everyone was playing well at the end of the campaign. We just aren’t so sure that QB Drew Tate is ready for this one. He has taken over at the helm for the Stamps in place of the veteran QB Henry Burris, a man who has had a heck of a lot of playoff success in his career. Meanwhile, QB Ricky Ray has had his success as well, and in a season in which the Eskies were supposed to fold, he was the one who really kept the club together. The Battle of Alberta was won by Edmonton this year, and that’s why this game is being played at the newly remodeled Commonwealth Stadium. The stadium will officially be christened in the biggest way, by winning a playoff game against the hated Stamps to end their season. Free CFL Picks: Edmonton -2
