The Cincinnati Bengals and the Philadelphia Eagles are set to kick off their Week 15 NFL betting clash on Thursday 12/13, and I’m set to make my football pick for the affair at Lincoln Financial Field. Another nice spot for a Thursday night tease. The whole betting public is taking the road team and laying the points, and that just makes me chuckle. I really don’t think that there is that much of a difference in these two squads, save for the fact that the Bengals have a pass rush and have forced some turnovers this year, and the Eagles just don’t. Granted, that’s a huge part to the game, but talent for talent elsewhere on the field, I don’t believe that it’s all that much of a difference.
I also think that this could be a lower scoring game. The Bengals haven’t gotten WR AJ Green into the end zone in quite some time, and that could be a big difference in this one. Cincinnati has scored just 39 points over the course of its last two games combined, though I also do need to note that the defense has allowed just 49 total points in the last four games and an average of 12.4 points per game in the last five.
This has traditionally been a higher scoring series that the Bengals have covered, but that’s all ancient past to me. The Eagles have kept three straight games within double digits, and they should be able to do that once again in this one come hell or high water. Go with the hosts getting 10.5 and the ‘under’ at even money.
