The No. 1 team in the country is going to be back in action in this one, and the Blue Devils are going to be taking on a very good Santa Clara team that has the ability to pull off an upset or two along the way this season if given the chance. Here’s the problem that we have with the Broncos this year: Yes, they are an 11-2 team, and yes, they lost both of their games in overtime. However, they haven’t played a game all season long in which they have been challenged, save for a game right at the outset of the season on the road at the St. Louis Billikens. The Dookies aren’t just beating teams, but they are killing them. They have won their last few games by 22, 41, 23, and 35 points, and there is a good chance that this is going to be another game in which they ultimately win by at least three touchdowns. We want to be careful, knowing that this could be a relatively dangerous game if Duke lets it become this week, but we don’t think that Coach K and the gang are going to be taking too many chances when push comes to shove.
