There is no doubt that the Bearcats and the Musketeers hate each other, and we are just over a year away from last year’s brawl. This is going to be a brutal one. It’s not just that the teams brawled last year, but it’s that last season’s game ended in a 76-53 blowout. Cincinnati is a 10-0 team this year, though it really hasn’t played all that much of a schedule at this point in the season. Xavier has a tremendously efficient team, shooting 49.9 percent from the floor, but F Justin Harper has a head injury that could keep him out of the fold in this one. The Musketeers haven’t beaten many teams of note either, and they have losses to both Vanderbilt and Pacific thus far on the campaign. G Sean Kilpatrick and G Cashmere Wright and G JaQuon Parker all remember last year’s game against the X-Men, and they are back to prove a big time point in this one. Don’t be all that shocked if some of the bad blood boils over into a big time game for the Bearcats, as they should get some revenge for last year’s game by blowing away Xavier.
