The 2013 NBA playoffs continue on Tuesday, April 30th with the Game 5 clash between the Memphis Grizzlies and the Los Angeles Clippers. Our Clippers vs. Grizzlies predictions are as good as you’ll find on the internet, and we have the right play that you need to make in this game to win money betting the NBA.

Series Tied 2-2

We really don’t like what we saw out of the Clippers in Games 3 and 4 of this series, and we think that they could be in a heck of a lot of trouble when they head back home for Game 5 against the Grizz as well. Getting off shots in and of itself was difficult, but getting off quality shots was all the more virtually impossible against this Memphis defense. The argument could be made that the Grizzlies had home court advantage and desperation on their side in Games 3 and 4, but we think this is a trend that is going to continue in this series. We don’t like the way that most of the Clips are playing at the moment, and if you take away the play of G Chris Paul, you really don’t have a consistent performer in this series. Meanwhile, Memphis is taking advantage of the situation, turning defense into offense and getting enough points on the board to get the job done. The squad was particularly efficient in Game 4 when it shot 39-of-77 from the field in what amounted to definitively be the best offensive showing of the season by either team since Game 1 for the Clippers. Don’t be shocked if Memphis is able to come to town and steal Game 5 of this series as well to push LA’s back against the wall once and for all as these teams head back to the FedEx Forum later this week.

Grizzlies @ Clippers Game 5 Pick: Memphis Grizzlies +5
Grizzlies @ Clippers Game 5 Score Prediction: Grizzlies 89 – Clippers 83

Our Detroit Red Wings at Anaheim Ducks Game 1 picks are hot from the presses, and here at Cappers Info, we’re presenting our NHL picks and predictions for what should be yet another great Tuesday night fight here in the second season.

Game 1 Picks: Detroit Red Wings at Anaheim Ducks
Date: Tuesday, April 20th, 10:30 ET
Location: Honda Center, Anaheim, CA
NHL Betting Odds: Ducks -150
Red Wings vs. Ducks NHL On TV: NBC Sports Network

Series Tied 0-0

NHL BookmakerIf you’re a fan of the Ducks, you can’t like this opening round matchup against the Red Wings. Detroit has been playing stellar hockey over the course of the last week or so, winning each of its last four games to get into the playoffs on a high. G Jimmy Howard put up Vezina Trophy splits this season, though we know that he won’t win the award because he only won 21 games against 20 total losses thanks to a never consistently stellar offense. The Ducks have gone just 8-9-2 in their last 19 games overall, and they haven’t really played a meaningful game of hockey in about a month. They have known for quite some time that they were going to be the No. 2 seed in the Western Conference, and they clearly played like they knew that fact as well. Oh, by the way, this streak of iffy play started when the Red Wings came to the Honda Center in March and won back to back games when the Ducks were still threatening to have the best record in hockey. No mas. Now, Anaheim is on the ropes, and we’re actually a bit surprised that it is the favored team in this game. We want the men from Motown on our side, and we are going to be happy to take Detroit at +140 when we think that it should be a -115 or so favorite to claim Game 1 of this series. The road team won all three meetings this year, and we wouldn’t be shocked if that streak rumbled up to five by the time these two games in Disneyland are said and done with.

Red Wings vs. Ducks Game 1 Pick: Detroit Red Wings +140
Game 1 Red Wings vs. Ducks Predictions: Detroit 3 – Anaheim 1

5Dimes
Warriors Lead Series 3-1

One might think that it is a little odd to see the Warriors as 7.5-point underdogs in spite of the fact that they have literally dominated the three most recent games in this series, but we have to remember that though this is a series, Game 5 itself is just one game in a bottle. When you take away all of what you saw over the course of the last week or so, what’s left is a Denver team that is still 39-4 SU and 28-15 ATS this season when playing at home. The Nuggets were always a significantly better home team than a road team, and it wasn’t all that surprising to us that they ended up losing both of the games at Oracle Arena. In fact, it wouldn’t be all that surprising to us if they did ultimately end up losing the series right here at home. However, we have to play the percentages, and those percentages say that the hot shooting Warriors simply can’t keep this pace up. Sure, G Stephen Curry is going to have quarters like he did in the third quarter on Sunday in which he scored a whopping 22 points all by himself, and when that happens, you just have to find a way to stick with him shot for shot as a team. Denver has a knack for doing just that with some of the best teams in the league, and Golden State will be no exception. We have to think that this is a game that the Nuggets end up winning by double digits significantly more often than not.

Warriors @ Nuggets Game 5 Pick: Denver Nuggets -7.5
Warriors @ Nuggets Game 5 Score Prediction: Nuggets 109 – Warriors 96

Game 1 of the Western Conference Quarterfinals takes place on Tuesday night, and here at Cappers Info, we have all of the best NHL playoffs picks you’ll find on the internet. The Chicago Blackhawks and the Minnesota Wild will meet in Game 1 of their playoff series, and we’re going to be giving you the NHL analysis necessary to make your hockey picks on this great game.

Free NHL Playoffs Picks: Minnesota Wild @ Chicago Blackhawks Game 1
Date: Tuesday, April 30th, 8:00 ET
Location: United Center, Chicago, IL
NHL Betting Odds: Blackhawks -220
Blackhawks vs. Wild NHL On TV: NBC Sports Network

Series Tied 0-0

Bovada NHL PlayoffsIt’s really, really tough to look at any game in the NHL playoffs and think that a team should be a -220 favorite over another team. We know that Minnesota is a dinged up team and that LW Dany Heatley certainly won’t be playing and RW Jason Pominville might not be going either, and we know that the Blackhawks were the most dominating team in the league this year, but are they really winning this game almost 75% of the time? We just have a hard time thinking that to be the case. The Wild did a lot of good for their franchise this year, signing C Zach Parise to bring all of his playoff experience to a team that is rather raw and doesn’t have a ton of experience. G Nicklas Backstrom isn’t exactly a playoff ready goalie right now as we see it, as he really wasn’t in the best form in the world at the end of the regular season, and he was fortunate to get a chance to play against the Colorado Avalanche to end the season to get his team into the playoffs. That being said, with the scores being relatively low here in the second season, and knowing that two of the three games in this series were decided by a single goal this year, we have to believe that this is going to be another one of these very close calls. Playing Minnesota on the moneyline might not be the worst idea in the world, but we think that taking the puck line is the better call to be making.

Wild vs. Blackhawks Game 1 Pick: Minnesota Wild +1.5 (-145)
Wild at Blackhawks Score Prediction: Chicago 3 – Minnesota 2

Location: Scottrade Center, St. Louis, MO
NHL Betting Odds: Blues -130
Kings vs. Blues NHL On TV: CNBC

Series Tied 0-0

5DimesMy, how things can change in a year! The Kings and the Blues were considered to be two totally separate teams last year when they met in the playoffs. Los Angeles was the young, up and coming gritty team that had just knocked off the Vancouver Canucks in the first round of the playoffs, while St. Louis, though also young, was the savvy squad that was using its stout defense and red hot goaltending to knock off everyone in its path. The Kings now look a lot like a team that is going to be knocked out of these playoffs early, while the Blues, though ranked lower this year than they were a season ago, might have a more complete team. We really think that St. Louis might actually be the team to beat here in the playoffs in the Western Conference. The team has enough offensive weapons to get the job done in the playoffs, and it has a defense that can shut out anyone on any given night. G Brian Elliott’s numbers aren’t stellar for the season, but he really came on strong in the second half of the year and played a lot like the man that contended for the Vezina Trophy last season. G Jonathan Quick looks like a shadow of the man that won the Conn Smythe Award last year. In the end, we just think that a -130 price on the Blues is far too generous, as they are clearly the better of these two teams, and that should show here in the playoffs. Forget about the eight-game losing streak at the hands of the Kings. St. Louis should be just fine in Game 1.

Kings vs. Blues Game 1 Pick: St. Louis Blues -130
Kings at Blues Game 1 Predictions: St. Louis 2 – Los Angeles 0

NBA betting action continues on Monday night from Toyota Center, where the Houston Rockets will host the Oklahoma City Thunder in a battle on the NBA betting odds. Don’t miss out on this one, which should be a great clash. The NBA television schedule shows this 9:30 ET tip happening on TNT.

Bovada Basketball
Thunder Lead Series 3-0

The Rockets are in a sad state right now, and we have a hard time thinking that they are going to be able to get off of the mat. They were beaten in Game 3 of this best of seven series, and they were beaten in horrendous fashion. Houston erased what was once a 26-point deficit with a huge second half rally, and it was able to take the lead late against Oklahoma City. A few missed free throws and a F Kevin Durant three pointer that bounced high off the rim and eventually fell proved to be the backbreaker though, as the team ended up dropping by exactly three points, the value of that miracle of a shot. G Jeremy Lin is clearly hurt to the point that he didn’t play during the entire fourth quarter with his chest injury. G James Harden took a few big time tumbles in the second half of the game as well, and he didn’t even take the final shot of the game when the team needed a three to force overtime. Meanwhile, Durant literally looks like he can take over the game on the offensive end of the court whenever he wants to. He threw down dunk after dunk with some massive drives to the lane, and every time Oklahoma City needed a basket, he found a way to get it. The Thunder aren’t going to be as bad as they were in the second half of Game 3 at any point, and as long as that stays the case, this should turn out to be a great situation for the visitors. Oklahoma City puts a stamp on this series and ends any hopes of a Houston comeback on Monday night to end the opening round.

Thunder @ Rockets Game 4 Pick: Oklahoma City Thunder -1.5
Thunder @ Rockets Game 4 Prediction: Oklahoma City 114 – Houston 103

The Indiana Pacers and the Atlanta Hawks are going to square off in Game 4 of their playoff series in a crucial NBA betting affair on April 29th. Join us here at Cappers Info, as we make our predictions for basketball for what should be a great game on Monday.

NBA Predictions: Indiana Pacers @ Atlanta Hawks
Date: Monday, April 29th, 7:30 ET
Location: Phillips Arena, Atlanta, GA
NBA Betting Odds: Atlanta -2
Pacers vs. Hawks NBA TV Schedule: NBA TV

Pacers Lead Series 2-1

There’s no doubt about the fact that Saturday night for the Pacers was nothing short of a disaster. They only scored 30 points in the first half, and things just never really got any better as the game wore on. The team shot just 27.2 percent from the field and 16.0 percent from beyond the arc. Just 48 points from the field for the game as well. Though home teams have dominated in this series over the course of the last seven in this series, winning all seven games, that doesn’t mean that the Hawks really should be favored in this game. We think that the oddsmakers have grossly overreacted to the fact that Atlanta won Game 3 by 21 points. The Pacers are the better of these two teams. What we have to remember is that Indiana did pick up 17 offensive rebounds in Game 3, and it did ultimately win the rebounding battle. Without a whopping 22 turnovers, the Pacers would have had a real chance to win that game. We think that the Pacers are going to essentially finish this series off by taking Game 3. Simply put, they’re going to just shoot the ball better in this one, and that’s going to ultimately make all the difference.

Pacers @ Hawks NBA Pick: Indiana Pacers -1.5
Pacers @ Hawks Score Prediction: Indiana 98 – Atlanta 93

5Dimes
Bulls Lead Series 3-1

This is a game that is going to be all about mental toughness more than anything else, and that’s where we think that the Nets have some real troubles. These two teams went at it for 63 minutes on Saturday afternoon, and they have to turn around in just 48 hours and come back to Brooklyn for what is a do or die game for the boys from Brooklyn. The only question that we have for the Bulls is whether they are going to be able to keep up this intensity and play through the pain of a few injuries. G Kirk Hinrich has a calf problem and C Joakim Noah has a foot problem, but both played a ton of minutes on Saturday. G Nate Robinson isn’t going to score 34 points off of the bench again either. Still, we wonder if the Nets have had it. G Deron Williams played 58 minutes on Saturday, and it looks like he left everything that he had on the floor. It wasn’t good enough to win at the United Center in Game 4, and it is going to take even more of an effort to win Game 5 when push comes to shove. We think that this game should be a lot more like a pick ‘em than anything else, and we think that giving us 5.5, even in a do or die game for the Nets, is a heck of a lot of points. Chicago has proven that it is good enough to come on the road and win, and we want the points on our side for sure on Monday night.

Bulls @ Nets Game 5 Pick: Chicago Bulls +5.5
Bulls @ Nets Game 5 Score Prediction: Bulls 94 – Nets 88

Bovada Basketball
Warriors Lead Series 2-1

Do the Nuggets really have a shot to go down 3-1 in this series? It really seems like Golden State is almost becoming a bit square when we think about it. Sure, there is a lot of justification for it, knowing that G Stephen Curry is literally shooting the ball out of the gym at the moment and that home court advantage has been tremendously important, but when push comes to shove, we have to remember that Denver is definitively the better of the two teams that will be on the court. Head Coach George Karl has to keep reminding his team of that fact, and it has to play like it. We really haven’t seen the Nuggets put together a full game at this point in this series. We saw a great first half against Golden State in which they put up 66 points and ultimately a 12-point lead in the third quarter, but that lead went by the wayside thanks to the hot shooting that Curry brought to the table. With apologies to the Golden State faithful, we just don’t see how that is continuing. After three straight covers in this series as underdogs, it is high time that the Nuggs come out and get the job done in a game as they are supposed to do as the favored team in this series, and home court advantage will flip back to Denver with a win for the visitors on Sunday night.

Nuggets @ Warriors Game 4 Pick: Denver Nuggets -1.5
Nuggets @ Warriors Game 4 Prediction: Denver 109 – Golden State 105

The San Antonio Spurs and the Los Angeles Lakers are going to square off in Game 4 of their playoff series in a crucial NBA betting affair on April 28th. Join us here at Cappers Info, as we make our predictions for basketball for what should be a great game on Sunday.

NBA Predictions: San Antonio Spurs @ Los Angeles Lakers
Date: Sunday, April 28th, 7:00 ET
Location: Staples Center, Los Angeles, CA
NBA Betting Odds: San Antonio -11
Spurs vs. Lakers NBA TV Schedule: TNT

Spurs Lead Series 3-0

The Spurs have really had the number of the Lakers here in the playoffs, but it really isn’t all that much of a surprise considering the lineup that Head Coach Mike D’Antoni is basically forced to throw out there at this point. We already know that G Kobe Bryant, G Steve Blake, and F Metta World Peace are out of the fold, but so too should be G Steve Nash and G Jodie Meeks. The end result has been three very lopsided games, as LA hasn’t gotten any closer than 11 in any of these games here in the first round of the playoffs. That being said, we do like some of the spunk that this team showed in Game 3, believe it or not. The game was truthfully over at the end of the first quarter when the Spurs were up by a dozen points, but we think that G Andrew Goudelock and G Darius Morris handled themselves well. F Earl Clark and perhaps C Robert Sacre are going to be asked to play some additional minutes in this game, and these youngsters aren’t going to want to just give up. Look for the young players wearing purple and gold and proving to be imposters in place of the regular Lakers to look at least a little bit more like the Lakers that we are used to seeing. The Spurs are going to be taking it easy in this one, and we think that they are going to really treat this more like an exhibition than anything else. The big boys will play their 20-25 minutes, but we don’t expect to see a whole heck of a lot more than that. An LA moneyline play might not be out of the question, but we definitely want the points on our side.

Spurs @ Lakers NBA Pick: Los Angeles Lakers +11
Spurs @ Lakers Score Prediction: Los Angeles 103 – San Antonio 98

5Dimes
Heat Lead Series 3-0

There really isn’t all that much of a chance for the Bucks in this game, but what is important to state is that they really have competed since Game 1. Miami is going to hope to just blow right through this game, but it has to have its eyes set on the upcoming series with either the Brooklyn Nets or the Chicago Bulls. We think that we have seen G Brandon Jennings and G Monta Ellis really play well, and though this might be the last time that either of these men are playing in Milwaukee, this could be a game to remember for them. From a handicapping standpoint, we do think that the Bucks have been getting some good opportunities to drive to the basket in these last two games. They’re never going to outdo the Heat in this respect, but getting 86 points in the last two games combined in the paint is crucial. Look for Milwaukee to get some points in the paint once again in this game, and it should at least put up a respectable effort to save face in what should be the final game of its season. There is no way that the Heat are going to be stopped, as they’ll end up in the second round of the playoffs with a sweep, but the Bucks will cover for the second time.

Heat @ Bucks Game 4 Pick: Milwaukee Bucks +8.5
Heat @ Bucks Game 4 Score Prediction: Heat 98 – Bucks 92

The 2013 NBA playoffs continue on Sunday, April 28th with the Game 4 clash between the New York Knicks and the Boston Celtics. Our Celtics vs. Knicks predictions are as good as you’ll find on the internet, and we have the right play that you need to make in this game to win money betting the NBA.

Date: Sunday, April 28th, 1:00 ET

NBA Betting Odds: New York -2
Knicks @ Celtics On TV Live: ABC

GT Bets
Knicks Lead Series 3-0

The Knicks have really been the most dominating team over the course of the first three games of this series, as they have won three straight games by double digits and look like they are going to sweep right through the C’s. That being said, the whole “Boston Strong” thing is going to be something that we will be playing off of in this game. The city of Boston didn’t give up when it was bombed by those lunatics at the Boston Marathon, and we don’t think that the team is going to give up now that it is down 0-3 in this series. Granted, we really don’t believe that the Celtics are going to win this series by any stretch of the imagination, but there is a real chance for them to win this game and get the job done. We just fail to see how this offense is going to be as bad as it was in the last two quarters in Game 2 and the first two quarters of Game 3. If the offense can get into the 20s in all four of the quarters in Game 4, we think that the Knicks will feel at least a bit of pressure on its back. F Paul Pierce isn’t ready for this season to be over with, and take over this game and lead Boston to a win.

Knicks @ Celtics Game 4 Pick: Boston Celtics +2
Knicks @ Celtics Game 4 Score Prediction: Celtics 89 – Knicks 85
