Friday Baseball Picks: New York Yankees @ Kansas City Royals
Date: Friday, May 10th, 8:10 ET
Location: Kauffman Stadium, Kansas City, MO
Yankees vs. Royals On TV: MLB Network

BetDSI

MLB Odds & Probable Starting Pitchers
New York Yankees (Phil Hughes) +105
Kansas City Royals (Wade Davis) -115
Total: 8.5

This is the very first time that the Royals have been favored to win a series over the Yankees in well over a decade, and we aren’t even how far that streak goes back. However, Kansas City has to know that this is one of the biggest series that it has played in quite some time, as New York is the type of team that you have to beat, especially at home, if you are going to contend for a spot in the playoffs over the course of a 162-game season. It’s not a great pitching matchup for either side, knowing that neither man has been throwing the ball all that well. RHP Phil Hughes has led the Yankees to three straight wins, but we think all of that is going to come to a close in this one. RHP Wade Davis knows that this is why he was brought to Kansas City. Sure, RHP James Shields was the focal point of that trade which brought Davis from Tampa Bay to KC, but it’s a big start nonetheless, especially for a man who has a 4.75 ERA and a 1.85 WHIP thus far this season. Davis is going to have to keep the ball down in the zone in this one, and that’s something that he has historically done quite well against the Bronx Bombers. If he does that, these Royals should be on their way to a big time victory.

Yankees @ Royals Pick 5/10/13: Kansas City Royals -115
Yankees @ Royals Score Prediction: Kansas City 5 – New York 3

The 2013 NBA playoffs continue on Friday, May 10th with the Game 3 clash between the San Antonio Spurs and the Golden State Warriors. Our Warriors vs. Spurs predictions are as good as you’ll find on the internet, and we have the right play that you need to make in this game to win money betting the NBA.

Free NBA Picks: San Antonio Spurs @ Golden State Warriors

NBA Betting Odds: Golden State -2.5
Spurs @ Warriors On TV Live: ESPN

GT Bets
Series Tied 1-1

The perception that the Warriors are the better of these two teams is starting to crop up right now in the Western Conference Semifinals, and things are suddenly wide open for discussion. G Stephen Curry and G Klay Thompson had two tremendous games in San Antonio, and it really seems as though these two teams are a heck of a lot closer than seeds No. 2 and No. 6 seem. As a result, the Spurs are now underdogs in this game, and they probably will be in Game 4 as well, especially if this game turns out to be a blowout. We just wonder what happens if the time comes that Curry and Thompson don’t ultimately knock down a ton of shots and score 50+ points between them. We know that time is going to come, and though it isn’t necessarily going to be in this game, we’re still going to play the percentages. Head Coach Gregg Popovich is going to be scheming all week long to try to figure out how to play better ball defensively. What are we resting our laurels on in this game? Everything has gone right for the Warriors over the course of these first two games, and they are just 1-1 to show for their work. The Spurs only need to get a split to put this series back on terms, and we think they’ll get the job done in this one.

Spurs @ Warriors Game 3 Pick: San Antonio Spurs +2.5
Spurs @ Warriors Game 3 Score Prediction: Spurs 106 – Warriors 103

NBA betting action continues on Friday night from United Center, where the Chicago Bulls will host the Miami Heat in a battle on the NBA betting odds. Don’t miss out on this one, which should be a great clash. The NBA television schedule shows this 8:00 ET tip happening on ESPN.

Bovada Basketball
Series Tied 1-1

It’s amazing how quickly perception changes in a series in the playoffs in the NBA! After Game 1 when the Bulls found a way to go on the road and steal home court advantage, people starting cocking their eyebrows, thinking that Chicago would have a chance in this series. After Game 2 though, when the Heat were up over 40 points for the majority of the fourth quarter, now all of a sudden, no one is giving Chicago a chance. We however, are. We know that there is still no G Kirk Hinrich, and there is still no F Luol Deng either, but we think that the Bulls learned a heck of a lot about this series after Game 2. C Joakim Noah still has a chance to be one of the more dominating players on the court in this series, and he and front court mate F Carlos Boozer could put up big time numbers. Though we do think that Miami is going to win this game, we are shocked to see Chicago getting a touchdown’s worth of points. The Heat are just 7-15-2 ATS in their last 24 visits to the Windy City, and the last time that they were here, their 27-game winning streak was snapped. This one will look a heck of a lot more like Game 1 and a heck of a lot less like Game 2 when push comes to shove, as the Bulls at least find a way to keep this game respectfully close.

Heat @ Bulls Game 3 Pick: Chicago Bulls +7
Heat @ Bulls Game 3 Prediction: Miami 93 – Chicago 88

Ducks vs. Red Wings NHL On TV: CNBC

Ducks Lead Series 3-2

5DimesAbout the only thing that we have come to expect over the course of the first round series between the Red Wings and the Ducks is that anything can happen. We have seen games where teams have gotten shut out (Detroit in Game 3) and games where both teams have gone wild offensively (Game 2). Now, we’ve seen back to back 3-2 games where the goaltenders on both sides have done a ton to try to save the day for their team. In Game 4, it was G Jimmy Howard that got the job done and won the game. In Game 5, it was G Jonas Hiller’s turn. This is a series that has seemed destined for seven games right from the get go, and it would be a shame if the end result was anything different. We figure when there is a will, there is a way, and though we have seen the best out of Hiller in this series from his Game 3 shutout, we think that it is going to be Howard’s turn to come up with a big time performance. Don’t be shocked if the Ducks get held to just one goal or so in this game, and perhaps they will ultimately be shut out. Regardless, whether by hook or by crook, Detroit should force this series back to Anaheim for a Game 7 this weekend.

Ducks vs. Red Wings Game 6 Pick: Detroit Red Wings -130
Ducks at Red Wings Game 6 Predictions: Detroit 2 – Anaheim 1

Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals takes place on Friday night, and here at Cappers Info, we have all of the best NHL playoffs picks you’ll find on the internet. The Washington Capitals and the New York Rangers will meet in Game 5 of their playoff series, and we’re going to be giving you the NHL analysis necessary to make your hockey picks on this great game.

Free NHL Playoffs Picks: New York Rangers at Washington Capitals Game 5
Date: Friday, May 10th, 7:30 ET
Location: Verizon Center, Washington DC
NHL Betting Odds: Capitals -135
Rangers vs. Capitals NHL On TV: NBC Sports Network

Series Tied 2-2

Bovada NHL PlayoffsThe schedule makers had to know that this was going to be a great series, and we have to think that in all likelihood, this series is going seven games. If that’s the case, there are going to be some tired legs on the ice, and the thought has to be given to the idea of resting some of the regulars for a shift or two here and there, knowing that Game 5, 6, and 7 are going to be played in a span of just four days. If that’s the case, we like the Rangers, as they have been the deeper team in this series. All eyes are on the struggling LW Rick Nash, but what isn’t recognized is the fact that some of the men down on the depth chart such as LW Carl Hagelin have been able to step it up and be superstars with huge stats. The Capitals really haven’t had an answer to C Derek Stepan in this series quite yet, and if they don’t find an answer, they might be in some trouble. We do think that it is entirely possible that this game goes to overtime, and we think that taking the Rangers and the puck line is the right choice to make. Though New York is just 1-4 in the last five games that it has played here at the Verizon Center, all the last three games of this series have been tight in the third period, and all three were decided by exactly one goal.

Rangers vs. Capitals Game 5 Pick: New York Rangers +1.5 (-210)
Rangers at Capitals Score Prediction: Washington 2 – New York 1

Our St. Louis Blues at Los Angeles Kings Game 6 picks are hot from the presses, and here at Cappers Info, we’re presenting our NHL picks and predictions for what should be yet another great Friday night fight here in the second season.

Game 6 Picks: St. Louis Blues at Los Angeles Kings
Date: Friday, May 10th, 10:00 ET
Location: Staples Center, Los Angeles, CA
NHL Betting Odds: Kings -155
Blues vs. Kings NHL On TV: NBC Sports Network

Kings Lead Series 3-2

NHL BookmakerDon’t you just get the feeling that G Jonathan Quick is about set to come up with a huge performance like he did in Game 3? The shutout victory in the first game here at Staples Center was the one that really turned the tide of this series around, and all of a sudden, the Kings went from down 0-2 to up 3-2. Quick hasn’t always been at his best, but he has found a way to do enough to win. Take away that first five minutes or so of Game 4, and he has allowed just three goals in his last three games, and one of those, the goal that tied the game in Game 5 in the third period, wouldn’t have been stopped by any goalie on the planet with the number of bodies that that puck got through. Quick now has a 1.69 GAA and a .942 save percentage, and he is simply outplaying G Brian Elliott, who is doing well in his own right. The Kings have won seven straight against St. Louis here at Staples Center, and they have won 13 of the last 16 games in this series overall dating back a few seasons. LA was able to close this series out at home when it got the chance last year, and this was a team that played well when it had its foes on the ropes in the postseason a season ago. We expect nothing less than a dominating effort by Quick on Friday night, as the Kings march onto the Western Conference Semifinals to get ready for a date with most likely the Anaheim Ducks.

Blues vs. Kings Game 6 Pick: Los Angeles Kings -155
Game 6 Blues vs. Kings Predictions: Los Angeles 2 – St. Louis 0

NHL Betting Odds: Bruins -205
Maple Leafs vs. Bruins NHL On TV: NHL Network

Bruins Lead Series 3-1

5DimesAt the outset of the postseason, goals were at a premium for most of the teams across the league, but all of a sudden over the course of the last few days, ‘overs’ have been flying in. This series between Boston and Toronto has had no shortage of goals in it, and it simply comes from a slew of opportunities. The home team has averaged 44.0 shots per game in this series, and the hosts have had at least 40 shots in each of those games. Only one of the four went to overtime, and unfortunately for the Maple Leafs, they were on the wrong end of the game that could have tied this series. This Boston team is already starting to look a little bit like the team that won the Stanley Cup two years ago. The offense is clicking, and C David Krejci is playing like a Conn Smythe Award contender. The Bruins are almost showing a blind aggression, and G James Reimer is putting up stats that make him look like he has been a heck of a lot worse than truly has been. With desperation officially here for the Maple Leafs, we have to think that this is a game that is ultimately going to get past the number once again. The oddsmakers have risen the number to reach to 5.5 at most sportsbooks, but we don’t think it truly matters. This one should reach at least six or seven goals for the fourth (and probably final) straight game.

Maple Leafs vs. Bruins Game 5 Pick: Over 5.5
Maple Leafs at Bruins Game 5 Predictions: Boston 4 – Toronto 3

Game 5 of the Western Conference Quarterfinals takes place on Thursday night, and here at Cappers Info, we have all of the best NHL playoffs picks you’ll find on the internet. The Chicago Blackhawks and the Minnesota Wild will meet in Game 5 of their playoff series, and we’re going to be giving you the NHL analysis necessary to make your hockey picks on this great game.

Free NHL Playoffs Picks: Minnesota Wild at Chicago Blackhawks Game 5
Date: Thursday, May 9th, 9:30 ET
Location: United Center, Chicago, IL
NHL Betting Odds: Blackhawks -270
Wild vs. Blackhawks NHL On TV: NBC Sports Network

Blackhawks Lead Series 3-1

Bovada NHL PlayoffsThe Blackhawks know that they have this series in hand if they can just remember to play their game and not get all that cute. Absolutely nothing is going right for Minnesota right now. G Niklas Backstrom is still hurt. Now G Josh Harding is hurt. RW Jason Pominville is back but doesn’t look all that healthy. LW Zach Parise has done absolutely nothing in this series. And now, here comes Minnesota, back to the Windy City, where it not only has to win this game, likely with a third goaltender in the crease, but it where it also is going to have to win a Game 7 as well after also winning a Game 6 on Saturday night at home. Needless to say, the odds look insurmountable, and the truth of the matter is that they probably are. That being said though, there is no way that we are laying -270 on a team here in the playoffs, regardless of the situation. Chicago is definitely the better of these two teams, and it is probably winning this game at least 60% of the time, but 60% isn’t good enough to make us want to back the Blackhawks. We have to think that there is a scenario where we could plausibly see the Wild win, and perhaps G Darcy Kuemper comes out with his hair on fire in his first career playoff start. You never know this time of year… Miracles can come true.

Wild vs. Blackhawks Game 5 Pick: Minnesota Wild +255
Wild at Blackhawks Score Prediction: Minnesota 2 – Chicago 1

Our Ottawa Senators at Montreal Canadiens Game 5 picks are hot from the presses, and here at Cappers Info, we’re presenting our NHL picks and predictions for what should be yet another great Thursday night fight here in the second season.

Game 5 Picks: Ottawa Senators at Montreal Canadiens
Date: Thursday, May 9th, 7:00 ET
Location: Bell Centre, Montreal, Quebec, Canada
NHL Betting Odds: Canadiens -120
Senators vs. Canadiens NHL On TV: CNBC

Senators Lead Series 3-1

NHL BookmakerThe Canadiens just feel like they have everything going against them, and when that happens here in the NHL playoffs, bad things happen. Just ask the Vancouver Canucks what happens once the tide really starts to turn against you, even if you are playing a supposed inferior team. As it is for Montreal, G Carey Price is clearly hurting to the point that he wasn’t able to come out in overtime and play against the Sens in Game 4. He’s considered questionable, but we have to think that it is going to be G Peter Budaj instead, and that’s bad news for the Habs. Ottawa is playing with its hair on fire right now, and those two wins that it got at Scotia Bank Place were amongst the biggest wins that the franchise has had in years. This is a great opportunity to close this series out. The Senators don’t want to have to come back home, and they are going against a backup goalie who has to have his confidence shaken after giving up a very early overtime winner in Game 4 fresh off of the bench. Look for the combination of D Erik Karlsson and LW Daniel Alfredsson to come up big once again for the Sens, as they finish off this series in five games and send Ottawa into the second round of the playoffs.

Senators vs. Canadiens Game 5 Pick: Ottawa Senators +110
Game 5 Senators vs. Canadiens Predictions: Ottawa 3 – Montreal 2

Free MLB Picks: Atlanta Braves @ San Francisco Giants

Braves vs. Giants Live TV: Local TV

Bovada Sportsbook

MLB Betting Odds & Probable Starting Pitchers
Atlanta Braves (Julio Teheran) +105
San Francisco Giants (Ryan Vogelsong) -117
Total: 7.5

RHP Julio Teheran is a man that we are going to continue to fade until he loses at this point. The righty has led the Braves to wins in all five of his starts this year, but when you look at what he has accomplished, he is only 1-0 with a 5.08 ERA and a dreadful 1.66 WHIP. Teheran has allowed at least six hits in all of his starts on the season, and he pitches to a ton of contact, which isn’t going to sit well against a San Francisco team that has a huge ballpark with which to be hitting in. His foe for the night is RHP Ryan Vogelsong, who is going to have to get back into form at some point. These last few seasons, Vogelsong really has looked sharp, and he basically has resurrected his career in San Fran. However, through six starts this season, the righty is 1-2 with a 7.20 ERA, and he has allowed a total of 17 runs in his last three starts. The Braves did just take two out of three from the Cincinnati Reds at the Great American Ball Park, but the Giants have won seven of their last nine games and are streaking. We want the defending World Series champions on our side, especially only just barely laying any chalk whatsoever against a team and a pitcher that we think could be overrated through just a fifth of the season.

Braves @ Giants Pick: San Francisco Giants -117
Braves @ Giants Score Prediction: Giants 5 – Braves 2

NHL Betting Odds: Penguins -209
Islanders vs. Penguins NHL On TV: NBC Sports Network

Series Tied 2-2

5DimesIs it time for G Tomas Vokoun to get in the net for the Penguins? We haven’t heard anything of yet from Head Coach Dan Bylsma, but we have to think that Pittsburgh is going to sit G Marc-Andre Fleury down for at least a game and see what Vokoun can do. This is a man that does have some playoff experience, and he played well for most of this season, so the possibility is there that this could be a change of the guard in net in the long term, not just in the short run for the Pens. The Islanders continue to score goals at will in this series, but the change in net and the change in venue back to Consol Energy Arena is going to have to help out the Penguins quite a bit. Though we have seen the Islanders scrap and claw for 60 minutes (and sometimes more) against the Pens, the bottom line is that they are overmatched in their own zone. Their defenders can’t account for all of the stars that Pittsburgh is bringing to the table, and G Evgeni Nabokov just isn’t good enough at this point in his career to slow down the mighty Penguins as well. This could be a wakeup call of a game for the Penguins, and we’re going to take a shot on the puck line as a result. This one really should be all or nothing for the Pens.

Islanders vs. Penguins Game 5 Pick: Pittsburgh Penguins -1.5
Islanders at Penguins Game 5 Predictions: Pittsburgh 6 – New York 2

The Golden State Warriors and the San Antonio Spurs are going to square off in Game 2 of their playoff series in a crucial NBA betting affair on May 8th. Join us here at Cappers Info, as we make our predictions for basketball for what should be a great game on Wednesday.

NBA Predictions: Golden State Warriors @ San Antonio Spurs
Date: Wednesday, May 8th, 9:30 ET
Location: AT&T Center, San Antonio, TX
NBA Betting Odds: San Antonio -6.5
Warriors vs. Spurs NBA TV Schedule: TNT

Spurs Lead Series 1-0

Game 1 might have been the best game that the NBA has seen thus far this season. The Spurs had to go on an 18-2 run over the course of the last four minutes of play to force the game to overtime, and then two sessions later, it was G Manu Ginobili who hit the three-point shot that ultimately won the game for the hosts. There were 205 total shots from the field in the game, and 56 three-point attempts between the two clubs. It was the exact game that Golden State wanted to play. G Stephen Curry scored 44 points, and he dished out 11 assists. He played 58 minutes and shot the ball 35 times. Is there a way that the Warriors can even get up to play Game 2? That’s the biggest question that we have right now. They had everything go exactly the way that they wanted, and they just didn’t have enough at the end. There are too many weapons here for San Antonio, and fatigue has to be a factor as well. Not only did Curry play 58 minutes, but F Harrison Barnes played 53. For the Spurs, no one played more than 48 minutes, and only G Tony Parker, G Danny Green, and F Kawhi Leonard played more than 40 minutes. There is still plenty of gas left in the San Antonio tank. We don’t know how much is really left for Golden State. Lay the points in Game 2.

Warriors @ Spurs Game 2 Pick: San Antonio Spurs -7
Warriors @ Spurs Score Prediction: Spurs 103 – Warriors 93
