Our New York Islanders at Pittsburgh Penguins Game 2 picks are hot from the presses, and here at Cappers Info, we’re presenting our NHL picks and predictions for what should be yet another great Friday night fight here in the second season.

Game 2 Picks: New York Islanders at Pittsburgh Penguins
Date: Friday, May 20th, 7:00 ET
Location: Consol Energy Arena, Pittsburgh, PA
NHL Betting Odds: Penguins -230
Islanders vs. Penguins NHL On TV: NBC Sports Network

Penguins Lead Series 1-0

NHL BookmakerThis is a particularly tough game to try to make heads or tails out of. The Penguins were completely dominating in Game 1 of this series on Wednesday night, crushing the Islanders 5-0 with all of the damage coming in the first two periods of play. Pittsburgh though, is laying -230 on Friday, yet 83% of the NHL betting action per Covers.com is coming in on the Pens, and the line isn’t moving. Technically, that means that the Isles are as sharp as they come in Game 2. It’s tough to want to back New York though, knowing that it is 0-5 in the last five games in this series, and especially knowing that each of those five losses have come by multiple goals. That being said, there was a bit of a dustup at the end of Game 1 that might ultimately fire up the Islanders. They haven’t won a playoff game in years, and they are going to have an opportunity to flip this series on its head on Friday if they can find a way to pull off this upset. Somehow, some way, we have to think that New York is going to put up a heck of a lot better fight in Game 2 than they did in Game 1. They have the pace of this series now, and they know exactly what they are up against. If the young guns are going to steal one on the road in this series, this is the game in which it is going to happen.

Islanders vs. Penguins Game 2 Pick: New York Islanders +215
Game 2 Islanders vs. Penguins Predictions: New York 3 – Pittsburgh 2

Location: Bell Centre, Montreal, Quebec, Canada
NHL Betting Odds: Canadiens -145
Senators vs. Canadiens NHL On TV: CNBC

Senators Lead Series 1-0

5DimesWe have to give the Senators a whole heck of a lot of credit for the way that they came out of the blocks in the third period after really getting dominated for the better part of the first two periods of play on Thursday night. They did get a goal from D Erik Karlsson in the first, but they also allowed a stunning 41 shots on goal in the first two periods as well. Hats off to G Craig Anderson for the way that he played in that opening game. Many are going to think that we should be seeing a heck of a lot of offense in this game, knowing that there were six goals scored last night, and knowing that there wasn’t a period with fewer than 21 total shots on goal between the two sides. However, we think that tonight’s game is going to be a heck of a lot more chippy. There is no doubt that there is going to be some retribution for the ugly scene that we saw when D Eric Gryba laid out C Lars Eller, and we expect there to be some fights between these teams that there was already no love lost between before the series started. The end result is going to be a lot of wasted time and a lot of nasty neutral zone play. In fact, we wouldn’t be surprised if the keepers totally shut up shop in this game, and two goals gets the job done. The ‘under’ is certainly the best play on the board.

Senators vs. Canadiens Game 2 Pick: Under 5.5
Senators at Canadiens Game 2 Predictions: Montreal 2 – Ottawa 1

Game 2 of the Western Conference Quarterfinals takes place on Friday night, and here at Cappers Info, we have all of the best NHL playoffs picks you’ll find on the internet. The Vancouver Canucks and the San Jose Sharks will meet in Game 2 of their playoff series, and we’re going to be giving you the NHL analysis necessary to make your hockey picks on this great game.

Free NHL Playoffs Picks: San Jose Sharks at Vancouver Canucks Game 2
Date: Friday, May 3rd, 10:00 ET
Location: Rogers Arena, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
NHL Betting Odds: Canucks -140
Sharks vs. Canucks NHL On TV: CNBC

Sharks Lead Series 1-0

Bovada NHL PlayoffsIs there any way that a reasonable NHL expert handicapper could really think that the Canucks are going to win Game 2 by a slew of goals? We just don’t trust that if G Cory Schneider is able to come back tonight after suffering an undisclosed injury that has kept him out for three straight games, that he will really be able to get the job done for a team that has routinely choked. Even two nights ago after taking a 1-0 lead in the second period, there was an air in the building that made it feel as though Vancouver was facing doom and gloom. Sure enough, three San Jose goals later, the Sharks were walking out of Rogers Arena down 0-1 in this series. The stat of the day? The Canucks are 1-13 against the puck line in their last 14 playoff games, and that includes losing by those two goals on Wednesday. It sort of puts things in their proper perspective. The Sharks might be laying a whopping -250 price on the NHL betting lines at +1.5, but there is no doubt that significantly more than three out of four times, they’ll either win this game or lose it by a single goal. We want the puck line on our side on Friday night for sure in what amounts to be the easiest play of the day.

Sharks vs. Canucks Game 2 Pick: San Jose Sharks +1.5 (-250)
Sharks at Canucks Score Prediction: San Jose 2 – Vancouver 1

NBA betting action continues on Friday night from FedEx Forum, where the Memphis Grizzlies will host the Los Angeles Clippers in a battle on the NBA betting odds. Don’t miss out on this one, which should be a great clash. The NBA television schedule shows this 9:35 ET tip happening on ESPN2.

NBA Betting Odds: Grizzlies -6
Clippers vs. Grizzlies Live TV: ESPN2

Bovada Basketball
Grizzlies Lead Series 3-2

After watching Game 5 of the Western Conference Quarterfinals between the Grizzlies and the Clippers, we were all set to back up the truck on the Grizz in Game 6… And then came this -6.5 price. Memphis is a great team, but it isn’t in a position where it should be laying a full touchdown in a playoff game under any reasonable circumstance. F Blake Griffin has an ankle sprain that might keep him out of the lineup, but we have to think if he can walk, he’s going to get back out there and play with desperation now officially in place for the Clip Joint. G Chris Paul has been magnificent in this series, and though he has been dealing with a bad thumb as well, he has clearly been the best player on the court. The bigs of F Zach Randolph and C Marc Gasol have been destroying LA in the paint, either directly through scoring or indirectly through creating open shots for others. Still, we have to take our chances in this game with the points. There’s a good chance that the winner of this game will only be in the 80s, and it isn’t going to take all that much from the Clips – perhaps 85 points or so – to be able to ensure the cover when push comes to shove.

Clippers @ Grizzlies Game 6 Pick: Los Angeles Clippers +6.5
Clippers @ Grizzlies Game 6 Prediction: Memphis 90 – Los Angeles 85

The Indiana Pacers and the Atlanta Hawks are going to square off in Game 6 of their playoff series in a crucial NBA betting affair on May 3rd. Join us here at Cappers Info, as we make our predictions for basketball for what should be a great game on Friday.

NBA Predictions: Indiana Pacers @ Atlanta Hawks
Date: Friday, May 3rd, 7:30 ET
Location: Phillips Arena, Atlanta, GA
NBA Betting Odds: Atlanta -1.5
Pacers vs. Hawks NBA TV Schedule: ESPN2

Pacers Lead Series 3-2

Time and again, we have seen lesser teams fold up in Game 6 in situations like this. Remember when the Los Angeles Lakers and the Oklahoma City Thunder played against each other in a great 1/8 series a few years ago before the Thunder were good? The home team won the first four games of that series, and when the Lakers won Game 5 at the Staples Center, the Thunder looked a bit deflated and ultimately were knocked out in Game 6. There’s something psychological about losing that third game on the road that tends to kill a team’s spirit like Atlanta’s. The Hawks now know that they not only have to pour their heart and soul into this game to win it, but they also have to go on the road on Sunday and figure out how to do something that they haven’t been able to do in five tries this season: Beat the Pacers at Bankers Life Fieldhouse. The end result is that the lower seeded teams tend to just throw in the towel at home and ultimately pack their bags in their own locker room, and that’s what we think is going to happen again on Friday night. Unless the Hawks come out of the blocks with guns blazing, we don’t think there is going to be any fight back. This is Indiana’s game to win, and it’s Indiana’s game to lose. Take the Pacers and the insulting point and a half.

Pacers @ Hawks Game 6 Pick: Indiana Pacers +1.5
Pacers @ Hawks Score Prediction: Pacers 97 – Hawks 91

5Dimes
Thunder Lead Series 3-2

Oh, Oklahoma City… You all are in a heck of a lot of trouble right now. The Thunder just don’t have any answers for what the Rockets are bringing to the table right now, and we think that it is insulting to think that they are going to be just one-point underdogs in this game. The argument could be made that the Rockets should have already won this series in five games, as they had every opportunity in the world to win Game 2 and Game 3. G James Harden is playing too well right now, and his teammates are doing a better job than F Kevin Durant’s teammates. Durant just can’t play point guard, and that’s what Head Coach Scott Brooks should be realizing. Unfortunately, Brooks just doesn’t have another guard on the roster that has a chance to keep the ball moving against the Rockets. The end result of this game is going to be ugly as we see it, as we think that Houston is going to jump out to the lead and never look back in this one to pour all of the pressure in the world on the Thunder, as there is a real chance for the Rockets to come all the way back and win this series.

Thunder @ Rockets Game 6 Pick: Houston Rockets -1
Thunder @ Rockets Game 6 Score Prediction: Rockets 107 – Thunder 97

The Chicago Blackhawks and the Minnesota Wild are going to square off on the NHL odds and betting lines on Friday for Game 2 of their NHL playoff series. Join us here at Cappers Info, as we make our Wild @ Blackhawks Game 2 picks & predictions for hockey for what should be a great game on Friday.

Free NHL Picks: Minnesota Wild at Chicago Blackhawks
Date: Friday, May 3rd, 9:30 ET
Location: United Center, Chicago, IL
NHL Betting Odds: Blackhawks -240
Wild vs. Blackhawks NHL On TV: NBC Sports Network

Blackhawks Lead Series 1-0

5DimesThe Blackhawks and the Wild were two relatively evenly matched teams over the course of the first game in this series, and the truth of the matter is that the better opportunities in overtime were, for the most part, had by the heavy underdog visitors. Minnesota had everything go wrong out of the chute in Game 1 of the postseason. It learned just before the game that RW Jason Pominville wasn’t going to be able to suit with his concussion, and G Niklas Backstrom, who started all but five games all season long, was hurt in warm-ups. G Josh Harding, a goalie with MS that is just trying to prove that he belongs, was forced into action. Every excuse was there for this team to get blown out, and it came right out in the first five minutes and scored with, of all things, the third line on the ice. Granted, we do have to give Chicago some credit for coming out and finding a way to win the game, as there are no easy wins in the playoffs. The Stanley Cup winner, whomever that turns out to be, will have earned its 16 wins in the second season. However, we just aren’t buying what the Blackhawks are selling. We think that they are ripe for the taking, and we think that they could lose this game and potentially maybe even lose this series as well. Go with the Wild in Game 2, as this could ultimately become a wacky series where just a bounce here or there changes the course of the whole two-week stretch.

Wild vs. Blackhawks Game 2 Pick: Minnesota Wild +225
Wild at Blackhawks Game 2 Predictions: Minnesota 2 – Chicago 1

The 2013 NBA playoffs continue on Friday, May 3rd with the Game 6 clash between the New York Knicks and the Boston Celtics. Our Celtics vs. Knicks predictions are as good as you’ll find on the internet, and we have the right play that you need to make in this game to win money betting the NBA.

GT Bets
Knicks Lead Series 3-2

If the Knicks know what’s good for them, now is the time that they will stop screwing around with the Celtics. New York was definitively the better team in the first three games of this series, but all of a sudden, things have started to go awry in a hurry. G JR Smith came back from suspension and immediately shot 3-of-14 from the floor in a total dud of a game. F Carmelo Anthony took far too many shots away from the basket, and you can tell when he gets the ball in his hands that he doesn’t really trust his teammates around him and wants to do the job by himself. The defensive intensity has dropped significantly, and Boston is taking far too many wide open shots from the outside. That being said, even playing at their worst, the Knicks were in both Games 4 and 5 in spite of the fact that they lost them. That’s why we think that the percentages are there on New York finally getting the job done in this series and closing things out here at the TD Garden. The Celtics have used up a ton of energy to get back to this point in this series, and there just isn’t going to be enough left in the tank to get any closer to becoming the first team in NBA history to win a series after falling behind 3-0.

Knicks @ Celtics Game 6 Pick: New York Knicks -1.5
Knicks @ Celtics Game 6 Score Prediction: Knicks 94 – Celtics 88

NBA betting action continues on Thursday night from Oracle Arena, where the Golden State Warriors will host the Denver Nuggets in a battle on the NBA betting odds. Don’t miss out on this one, which should be a great clash. The NBA television schedule shows this 10:30 ET tip happening on TNT.

NBA Betting Odds: Warriors -1
Nuggets vs. Warriors Live TV: TNT

Bovada Basketball
Warriors Lead Series 3-2

This series has officially gotten chippy. The Warriors have made their complaints that they are getting knocked around far too much in this series, and Head Coach Mark Jackson almost sounded like he was complaining a bit too much in defeat following Game 5 over at the Pepsi Center. Now, his team has to be feeling the pressure. It is starting to get the best efforts of the Nuggets on the defensive end of the court, and if that keeps up, it is going to take a remarkable effort from G Stephen Curry and G Klay Thompson to get the job done. If you’re Golden State, you also have to think that your season comes down to this game. This isn’t Game 6. This may as well be Game 7. If you think that Denver is tough to beat on a regular basis, imagine how tough it must be to beat this team at home in a Game 7? Over 70% of the betting action is coming in on the Warriors at a svelte -1, and that’s telling us that they are the wrong side in this game. Denver is good enough to go on the road, as we have seen all season long in places like Oklahoma City, Chicago, and the likes. For as great of a season as it has been for the Warriors, they don’t have a 22-point third quarter coming from Curry in this game. This is one that will be won by the Nuggs to send this series back to the Rockies for a decisive game this weekend.

Nuggets @ Warriors Game 6 Pick: Denver Nuggets +1
Nuggets @ Warriors Game 6 Prediction: Denver 103 – Golden State 100

The Brooklyn Nets and the Chicago Bulls are going to square off in Game 6 of their playoff series in a crucial NBA betting affair on May 2nd. Join us here at Cappers Info, as we make our predictions for basketball for what should be a great game on Thursday.

NBA Predictions: Brooklyn Nets @ Chicago Bulls
Date: Thursday, May 2nd, 8:00 ET
Location: United Center, Chicago, IL
NBA Betting Odds: Chicago -1.5
Nets vs. Bulls NBA TV Schedule: TNT

Bulls Lead Series 3-2

Anyone else find this line relatively fishy? The Bulls really feel as though they should be favored by at least three or four points in this game. Does the absence of G Kirk Hinrich really mean all that much? We’re not sure, but apparently, the oddsmakers think so. We still think that the Nets have had it when push comes to shove. They put together a fantastic game for 45 minutes in Game 4, only to end up losing in triple overtime, and they basically played the same game for the first 45 minutes of Game 5, except this time, they finished the game off. Chicago still has the dominant boys on the boards, and the truth of the matter is that we are still doubting the psyche of the Nets at this point. Can they really come back to Chicago and win a second straight elimination game with their backs against the wall? Head Coach Tom Thibodeau knows that this series needs to end right here and right now, and that’s exactly what is going to happen. The Bulls should finish this series off tonight and get ready for a second round series with the Miami Heat.

Nets @ Bulls Game 6 Pick: Chicago Bulls -1.5
Nets @ Bulls Score Prediction: Bulls 97 – Nets 94

Our Detroit Red Wings at Anaheim Ducks Game 1 picks are hot from the presses, and here at Cappers Info, we’re presenting our NHL picks and predictions for what should be yet another great Thursday night fight here in the second season.

Game 1 Picks: Detroit Red Wings at Anaheim Ducks
Date: Thursday, May 20th, 10:30 ET
Location: Honda Center, Anaheim, CA
NHL Betting Odds: Ducks -128
Red Wings vs. Ducks NHL On TV: NBC Sports Network

Ducks Lead Series 1-0

NHL BookmakerIt’s officially gut check time for the Red Wings. They weren’t necessarily firmly the better or the worse team on the ice on Tuesday night for the opening game of this series, but they were the sloppier of the two teams for sure. They took very suspect penalties and lost out on a number of opportunities to make things happen, and not surprisingly, the talented and opportunistic Ducks were able to take advantage of that and get a 3-1 win. Granted, we know that last goal was an empty net strike, so the game was really a lot closer than the final score suggests. The bottom line for Detroit is that it has to get more shots on goal and more quality time on the Anaheim side of the ice. The team only had 22 shots for the whole game on Tuesday, and that isn’t going to cut it here in the playoffs. Though it is still a big “if,” “if” the Red Wings find a way to turn up that pressure, we just don’t know if Anaheim is going to be able to hold the fort or not. The Ducks are good, but we aren’t sure that they are good enough to warrant being up 2-0 in this series through two games. We’ll find out on Thursday, but we want the Red Wings on our side as underdogs.

Red Wings vs. Ducks Game 1 Pick: Detroit Red Wings +120
Game 1 Red Wings vs. Ducks Predictions: Detroit 4 – Anaheim 2

Date: Thursday, May 2nd, 9:30 ET
Location: Scottrade Center, St. Louis, MO
NHL Betting Odds: Blues -118
Kings vs. Blues NHL On TV: CNBC

Blues Lead Series 1-0

5DimesThe Kings are going to be kicking themselves for the fact that they were beaten in Game 1 of this series. They found a way to force overtime late, and they ultimately were on a four-minute power play in overtime that should have won the game when G Jonathan Quick inexplicably booted away a puck behind his net that resulted in the goal by LW Alexander Steen that won the game for St. Louis. The bottom line though, is that LA wasn’t the better team. It was being outshot every step of the way, and its chances for scoring were minimal throughout. Though Quick was horrid on that one play, he was good for the majority of the game, and if not for his 40 saves, this would have been a one-sided romp that was over in regulation. The Blues are going to keep the pressure ratcheted up in this one for sure. We just don’t see how LA is going to be getting all that many quality chances against the best defense in hockey. There’s a reason that we have been touting the Blues as a potential Stanley Cup spoiler team this year, and we are going to be standing by that in this one. The champs are officially going to be in a heck of a lot of trouble after they get beaten for the second time at the Scottrade Center in as many games.

Kings vs. Blues Game 2 Pick: St. Louis Blues -118
Kings at Blues Game 2 Predictions: St. Louis 2 – Los Angeles 0
