NFL betting fans are running to their online sportsbooks to place their Oakland Raiders vs. San Diego Chargers bets and predictions, and here at Cappers Info, we are making our Sunday football picks for this encounter.

Week 17 Football Picks: Oakland Raiders @ San Diego Chargers
Date: Sunday, December 30th, 4:25 ET
Location: Qualcomm Stadium, San Diego, CA
NFL Betting Lines: San Diego -10
Raiders vs. Chargers On TV: CBS

QB Terrelle Pryor is going to be getting his first career start in this one, and we’re going to take the words of Head Coach Dennis Allen to tell us how we’re going to be playing this one. “We don’t feel like [Pryor] is ready to be the backup quarterback.” Ok, coach, explain this one to us, then. If Pryor isn’t ready to be the backup, what makes you think that he is ready to be the starter? The Raiders have packed it in and did so a long time ago, while the Bolts have played well down the stretch of the season for the sixth straight year for the outgoing Head Coach Norv Turner. The Chargers are actually 20-3 in their 23 games played thus far in the last quarter of the season under Turner’s direction, and in spite of the fact that the road team has won and covered four straight in this series, there is no reason to think that this game is going to be even remotely close. Look for another San Diego blowout with another big time defensive performance.

Raiders @ Chargers Pick: San Diego Chargers -10
Oakland @ San Diego Score Prediction: San Diego 30 – Oakland 10

BovadaThe Green Bay Packers and the Minnesota Vikings are set to kick off their Week 17 NFL betting clash on Sunday 12/30, and I’m set to make my football pick for the affair at Mall of America Field at the HHH Metrodome. Kickoff is set for 4:25 ET, and I’ve got the perfect NFL pick for this outstanding duel on the gridiron.

Green Bay Packers (11-4, 9-6 ATS) -3
Minnesota Vikings (9-6, 7-7-1 ATS) +3
Over/Under 45.5

I’m a bit puzzled as to why this ‘total’ has gotten so much publicity. This isn’t going to be the highest scoring game in the world, yet the number that is posted is in the mid-40s as if a team like the New Orleans Saints were playing in this one.

There’s no doubt whatsoever that the Vikings are going to be running the ball and running it a ton with RB Adrian Peterson. Peterson had a few big time runs when these two teams met the first time a few weeks ago, but in the end, the team only put up 14 points in spite of the fact that he had over 200 total rushing yards on the day. Remember too, that the Vikes only scored 23 last week against the Houston Texans, and it’s likely going to take at least that many to get this one to the ‘total’ in all likelihood.

And one final thought about this ‘under’… The Packers have allowed 18.2 points per game over the course of their last nine games, and they have played five of their last six beneath the ‘total’. There’s just no reason to think that this one is going to get to the mid-40s, and in the end, I expect that this is going to be a low scoring game that has the feel of a postseason clash with a ton on the line.

Packers @ Vikings Tips: Under 45.5

The Arizona Cardinals and the San Francisco 49ers are going to square off in Week 17 of the NFL betting campaign. Join us here at Cappers Info, as we make our predictions for football for what should be a great game on Sunday.

Week 17 NFL Picks: Arizona Cardinals @ San Francisco 49ers
Date: Sunday, December 30th, 4:25 ET
Location: Candlestick Park, San Francisco, CA
Week 17 Betting Odds: San Francisco -16.5
Cardinals vs. 49ers Live TV: FOX

Dare we lay 16.5 with the 49ers in this game? Of course we will! When these two teams met in the desert in October when QB John Skelton calling the shots, the 49ers won 24-3. Now, we have seen Arizona go through both Skelton and QB Ryan Lindley, and the tide turns over to QB Brian Hoyer for his first career start. Arizona’s offense just hasn’t been able to get out of its own way for the most part, and there is no reason to think that Hoyer is going to be able to do any better on the road in a game that means oh so much to the 49ers. San Francisco has to have this game if it wants to have a chance at the No. 2 seed in the NFC, and more importantly if it wants to win the NFC West and avoid having to go on the road in the first round of the playoffs. The defense allowed 76 points over the course of the last two games, and that just isn’t going to continue when push comes to shove. Go with the 49ers and lay the points for sure in a game that should never be close.

Cardinals @ 49ers Pick: San Francisco 49ers -16.5
Cardinals @ 49ers Score Prediction: San Francisco 24 – Arizona 3

NFL betting fans are running to their online sportsbooks to place their Baltimore Ravens vs. Cincinnati Bengals bets and predictions, and here at Cappers Info, we are making our Sunday football picks for this encounter.

Week 17 Football Picks: Baltimore Ravens @ Cincinnati Bengals
Date: Sunday, December 30th, 1:00 ET
Location: Paul Brown Stadium, Cincinnati, OH
NFL Betting Lines: Cincinnati -2.5
Ravens vs. Bengals On TV: CBS

The Ravens are the only team with anything to play for in this game, knowing that they can get up to the No. 3 seed if they win and the Patriots ultimately lose. However, we really don’t think that Head Coach John Harbaugh really cares too much about all of this, and he just wants to get through this game healthy. If the Ravens and the Bengals both essentially make this a preseason game, we want the points on our side. We trust QB Tyrod Taylor to be able to get the ball moving up the field, and as he proved last week, RB Bernard Pierce does have the ability to run the rock with authority behind a great (and deep) offensive line. This really does feel like it is nothing more than a crapshoot of a game, and though the Bengals might be interested in keeping some momentum going in this one, we have historically seen that when it doesn’t mean anything to Head Coach Marvin Lewis, he tends to just call off the dogs, and a terrible game is the end result. We like the ‘under’. We love the Ravens even more.

Ravens @ Bengals Pick: Baltimore Ravens +2.5
Baltimore @ Cincinnati Score Prediction: Baltimore 20 – Cincinnati 13

The Chicago Bears and the Detroit Lions are going to square off in Week 17 of the NFL betting campaign. Join us here at Cappers Info, as we make our predictions for football for what should be a great game on Sunday.

Week 17 NFL Picks: Chicago Bears @ Detroit Lions
Date: Sunday, December 30th, 1:00 ET
Location: Ford Field, Detroit, MI
Week 17 Betting Odds: Chicago -3
Bears vs. Lions Live TV: FOX

This is a weird game for sure, as the public is all over the place. The Bears are getting 65% of the betting action on their side, but if you listen to the talking heads all over the country, this is a game that the Lions seem destined to win, just because the Bears can’t win the big time game. Alas, the history in this series is insanely in favor of the Monsters of the Midway for a reason. Chicago is clearly and definitively the better of these two teams. All of this talk about all of the milestones in Detroit is great, but Head Coach Lovie Smith and the gang really could care less if WR Calvin Johnson goes off for another 200+ yard game and if QB Matthew Stafford gets to 5,000 passing yards for the year or not. It’s all about the ‘W’ in the 1:00 hour, and it’s all about rooting for the Packers (as much as that must hurt Bears fans to say) in the 4:00 hour. Detroit has lost seven games in a row for a reason, and it is 1-6 ATS in those games for a reason as well. Tis the season to fade the Lions.

Bears @ Lions Pick: Chicago Bears -3
Bears @ Lions Score Prediction: Chicago 27 – Detroit 17

The 2012 NFL season is back, and here at Cappers Info, we’ll be looking at some of the best games on the docket each and every week, as we try to make the most money possible off of the NFL odds for the week. Join us on Sunday, as we make our Kansas City Chiefs @ Denver Broncos free picks and predictions for what should be a great clash on the gridiron.

Week 17 NFL Picks: Kansas City Chiefs @ Denver Broncos
Date: Sunday, December 30th, 4:25 ET
Location: Sports Authority Field at Mile High
NFL Betting Odds: Denver -16
Chiefs vs. Broncos On TV: CBS

We absolutely hate laying this many points in the NFL, especially in a rivalry game that also happens to have so much on the line for one team. The Chiefs are just going to try to play the role of the spoiler in this one, as the Broncos are going for a first round bye and potentially the No. 1 seed in the AFC. For as bad as KC has been all year long, it does only have six losses this year by more than 16 points. On this long 10-game winning streak though, QB Peyton Manning and the gang have four victories of more than 16 points. The Broncos did only beat the Chiefs by eight at Arrowhead Stadium in an ugly game, but this time around, Manning should have no problems throwing for a few TDs against a hapless team. Getting to 30 is the key in this one, and with at least 31 points scored in three out of four games, there is no reason to think that the Chiefs are going to be able to score enough to keep up with that type of output.

Kansas City Chiefs @ Denver Broncos Pick: Denver Broncos -16
Kansas City Chiefs @ Denver Broncos Score Prediction: Denver 31 – Kansas City 10

NFL betting fans are running to their online sportsbooks to place their New York Jets vs. Buffalo Bills bets and predictions, and here at Cappers Info, we are making our Sunday football picks for this encounter.

Week 17 Football Picks: New York Jets @ Buffalo Bills
Date: Sunday, December 30th, 1:00 ET
Location: Ralph Wilson Stadium, Orchard Park, NY
NFL Betting Lines: Buffalo -3
Jets vs. Bills On TV: CBS

The Bills and the Jets have absolutely squat to play for, but this is the game that the boys from the Big Apple win just for the sake of controversy. QB Mark Sanchez has been put back in the lineup, and we have to remember that way back in Week 1, he destroyed this Buffalo defense to the tune of 266 yards, three TDs, and a total of 48 points scored. QB Ryan Fitzpatrick was picked off three times in that game, and in spite of the fact that RB CJ Spiller had a great game, we just don’t see him accounting for 194 yards of offense once again in this one. If the Jets decide that they want to show up in this game and the offensive line doesn’t get Sanchez killed the same way that it did last week with QB Greg McElroy calling the shots against the San Diego Chargers, there’s no doubt in our minds that the wrong team is favored in this game. Buffalo just isn’t the better of these two teams, even for as bad as New York has been.

Jets @ Bills Pick: New York Jets +3
New York @ Buffalo Score Prediction: New York 19 – Buffalo 16

Making sports betting picks is one of my specialties, and today at Cappers Info, I’m making my Sunday Football Tipster pick based upon the football trends and NFL odds for the Houston Texans vs. Indianapolis Colts game on Sunday, December 30th at Lucas Oil Stadium at 1:00 p.m. ET.

Houston Texans (12-3, 9-6 ATS) -7
Indianapolis Colts (10-5, 10-5 ATS) +7
Over/Under 46.5

It’s tough not to believe Head Coach Chuck Pagano when he says that his Colts are going to be playing this one full bore in spite of the fact that there is nothing to gain or lose directly by the outcome of the year. Indianapolis is the lesser of these two teams for sure, and that was proven when these teams met at Reliant Stadium just two weeks ago. That doesn’t mean that taking the points here isn’t a good idea.

QB Andrew Luck knows that he has to play better ball against some of the top defenses in the conference if his team is going to get out of even the first round of the playoffs next week. This is a nice opportunity for him to get the job done against a Houston defense that has the potential to be out of this world. The offensive line for Indy has seen what DE JJ Watt brings to the table, and now, I figure that this unit has a lot better chance of at least slowing him down the second time around than it had in the very first meeting of the year of these two teams.

I really don’t know if the Colts are going to go at it for the full 60 or not, but if they do, they have a great chance of winning this game. Remember that history really isn’t on the side of the Texans either. Remember that Houston has never won a game here in Indianapolis in team history, including last year in a 19-16 loss that kept the Texans from having a shot at a first round bye in the playoffs. It could be de ja vu all over again for Houston.

Texans @ Colts Tips: Colts +7

The 2012 NFL schedule is back, and here at Cappers Info, we’ll be looking at some of the best games on the docket each and every week, as we try to make the most money possible off of the Week 17 odds for the NFL. Join us on Sunday, as we make our St. Louis Rams @ Seattle Seahawks free picks and predictions for what should be a great clash on the gridiron.

Week 17 NFL Picks: St. Louis Rams @ Seattle Seahawks
Date: Sunday, December 30th, 4:25 ET
Location: CenturyLink Field, Seattle, WA
NFL Betting Odds: Seattle -11
Rams @ Seahawks On TV: FOX

The Seahawks are laying a heck of a lot of points in this one, but the time might be here that it truly isn’t justified for that to happen. Head Coach Pete Carroll isn’t going to take his foot off of the gas pedal with as well as his team has been playing of late, but that doesn’t mean that his club should be laying double digits. How quickly we all forget that the Rams have won four out of five and have a tie against the San Francisco 49ers in the mix at the Stick as well! St. Louis went into Tampa Bay last week and won, and this is a more important game for the team. There’s a big difference between going 8-7-1 and 7-8-1 over the course of the year, and this would be an emotional win for a team that is going to try to carry all of the momentum that it can into the offseason and eventually into 2013. Seattle won’t punt this game, but it won’t win it by more than a score either.

Rams @ Seahawks Pick: St. Louis Rams +11
Rams @ Seahawks Score Prediction: Seattle 24 – St. Louis 20

December 30th, 2012 By Jack Wilshire

Of all of the games on the Sunday 12/30 Week 17 NFL betting schedule, one of my favorite is the clash between the Miami Dolphins and the New England Patriots. Join me for my tips for this 4:25 p.m. ET kickoff that can be seen on CBS.

Miami Dolphins (7-8, 8-7 ATS) +10.5
New England Patriots (11-4, 8-7 ATS) -10.5
Over/Under 46

I just don’t trust Head Coach Bill Belichick in this game. I don’t trust that he is going to play this one full bore, and I don’t trust that he is going to ultimately want to show the Dolphins anything, knowing that he probably has to contend with the Bengals next week or the Broncos or Texans the week after that here at this stadium.

Miami has a team that really has overachieved this year at 7-8, and there is a chance to get the job done and finish up at a very respectable .500 with a win in the cold at Gillette Stadium. QB Ryan Tannehill and the crew have a few very respectable results this year, including beating the Bengals on the road, beating the Rams at home, beating the Seahawks at home, and sticking around with both the Patriots and the 49ers down the stretch.

Regardless as to whether QB Tom Brady plays the full game or not in this one, I still like keeping the points on my side. It’s just that much more of a bonus to ultimately know that Brady and the starters could be spending the fourth quarter on the bench. If that turns out to be the case, Miami will win this game outright in all likelihood. This one probably ultimately means a lot more to the Dolphins than it does to the Patriots in spite of the fact that it is New England that is playing to move up (or avoid moving down) the playoff ladder in the AFC.

Dolphins @ Patriots Tips: Miami Dolphins +10.5

The Cleveland Browns and the Pittsburgh Steelers are going to square off in Week 17 of the NFL betting campaign. Join us here at Cappers Info, as we make our predictions for football for what should be a great game on Sunday.

Week 17 NFL Picks: Cleveland Browns @ Pittsburgh Steelers
Date: Sunday, December 30th, 1:00 ET
Location: Heinz Field, Pittsburgh, PA
Week 17 Betting Odds: Pittsburgh -7
Browns vs. Steelers Live TV: CBS

This is a ludicrous point spread, to say the least. The Steelers are only favored by a touchdown under the premise that they have given up on the season, while the Browns are still fighting their hearts out to impress new ownership for the 2013 campaign. Pittsburgh though, has a massive score to settle, and QB Ben Roethlisberger is going to want to go out this year with a bang, not a dud. Big Ben threw the game-clinching picks both in Week 15 and in Week 16, and those two losses proved to be the team’s undoing for the playoffs. It’s not so much that the Steelers have the desire to finish at .500 that makes us think that this game is going to be a blowout. It’s that they turned the ball over eight times against the Browns in a 20-14 loss at the Dawg Pound. If Cleveland can only win by six points in a game in which it was at home against a third string quarterback in QB Charlie Batch, is there any way that it is going to be able to come on the road with a third string quarterback of its own in QB Thaddeus Lewis and get the job done in the Steel City against a ticked off Pittsburgh outfit? We think not!

Browns @ Steelers Pick: Pittsburgh Steelers -7
Browns @ Steelers Score Prediction: Pittsburgh 34 – Cleveland 6

BovadaThe Philadelphia Eagles and the New York Giants are set to kick off their Week 17 NFL betting clash on Sunday 12/30, and I’m set to make my football pick for the affair at MetLife Stadium. Kickoff is set for 1:00 ET, and I’ve got the perfect NFL pick for this outstanding duel on the gridiron.

Philadelphia Eagles (4-11, 3-11-1 ATS) +7
New York Giants (8-7, 6-8-1 ATS) -7
Over/Under 46

Doesn’t this one feel a little bit like a swan song for this entire Eagles team? I know (and everyone else knows) that this is a team that is getting blown up once this game is over, but the talent is still there to put plenty of points on the board. QB Michael Vick isn’t any lesser of a quarterback now than he was at the start of the year before getting hurt and subsequently benched to see what QB Nick Foles can bring to the table. Vick is playing for a job next year as a starting quarterback and he knows it. WR Jeremy Maclin, RB LeSean McCoy… These are guys that have played in this rivalry series for quite some time, and they know what it takes to put points on the board.

This is the Super Bowl to the Eagles as well. Maclin has already stated this week that the team has been looking forward to this game for quite some time, and with a chance to put the final nail in New York’s coffin, it is a great opportunity for sure. The Giants need this one and need three other results to happen just to get into the playoffs, and though it isn’t likely to happen, there is no doubt about it if this one is ultimately lost.

Yes, the last two in this series have only featured 36 and 27 points, but this should still be a higher scoring affair as well for as poorly as the New York defense has played of late. There’s no reason to think that the G-Men under any circumstance will be able to win this game by more than two touchdowns, and there’s no reason to think that both teams won’t get into at least the high-teens in scoring as well.

Eagles @ Giants Tips: 7-point teaser – Eagles +14 w/ Over 39
