The 2013 NBA playoffs continue on Friday, May 10th with the Game 3 clash between the San Antonio Spurs and the Golden State Warriors. Our Warriors vs. Spurs predictions are as good as you’ll find on the internet, and we have the right play that you need to make in this game to win money betting the NBA.

Series Tied 1-1

The perception that the Warriors are the better of these two teams is starting to crop up right now in the Western Conference Semifinals, and things are suddenly wide open for discussion. G Stephen Curry and G Klay Thompson had two tremendous games in San Antonio, and it really seems as though these two teams are a heck of a lot closer than seeds No. 2 and No. 6 seem. As a result, the Spurs are now underdogs in this game, and they probably will be in Game 4 as well, especially if this game turns out to be a blowout. We just wonder what happens if the time comes that Curry and Thompson don’t ultimately knock down a ton of shots and score 50+ points between them. We know that time is going to come, and though it isn’t necessarily going to be in this game, we’re still going to play the percentages. Head Coach Gregg Popovich is going to be scheming all week long to try to figure out how to play better ball defensively. What are we resting our laurels on in this game? Everything has gone right for the Warriors over the course of these first two games, and they are just 1-1 to show for their work. The Spurs only need to get a split to put this series back on terms, and we think they’ll get the job done in this one.

Spurs @ Warriors Game 3 Pick: San Antonio Spurs +2.5
Spurs @ Warriors Game 3 Score Prediction: Spurs 106 – Warriors 103

It’s amazing how quickly perception changes in a series in the playoffs in the NBA! After Game 1 when the Bulls found a way to go on the road and steal home court advantage, people starting cocking their eyebrows, thinking that Chicago would have a chance in this series. After Game 2 though, when the Heat were up over 40 points for the majority of the fourth quarter, now all of a sudden, no one is giving Chicago a chance. We however, are. We know that there is still no G Kirk Hinrich, and there is still no F Luol Deng either, but we think that the Bulls learned a heck of a lot about this series after Game 2. C Joakim Noah still has a chance to be one of the more dominating players on the court in this series, and he and front court mate F Carlos Boozer could put up big time numbers. Though we do think that Miami is going to win this game, we are shocked to see Chicago getting a touchdown’s worth of points. The Heat are just 7-15-2 ATS in their last 24 visits to the Windy City, and the last time that they were here, their 27-game winning streak was snapped. This one will look a heck of a lot more like Game 1 and a heck of a lot less like Game 2 when push comes to shove, as the Bulls at least find a way to keep this game respectfully close.

Heat @ Bulls Game 3 Pick: Chicago Bulls +7
Heat @ Bulls Game 3 Prediction: Miami 93 – Chicago 88

The Golden State Warriors and the San Antonio Spurs are going to square off in Game 2 of their playoff series in a crucial NBA betting affair on May 8th. Join us here at Cappers Info, as we make our predictions for basketball for what should be a great game on Wednesday.

NBA Predictions: Golden State Warriors @ San Antonio Spurs
Date: Wednesday, May 8th, 9:30 ET
Location: AT&T Center, San Antonio, TX
NBA Betting Odds: San Antonio -6.5
Warriors vs. Spurs NBA TV Schedule: TNT

Spurs Lead Series 1-0

Game 1 might have been the best game that the NBA has seen thus far this season. The Spurs had to go on an 18-2 run over the course of the last four minutes of play to force the game to overtime, and then two sessions later, it was G Manu Ginobili who hit the three-point shot that ultimately won the game for the hosts. There were 205 total shots from the field in the game, and 56 three-point attempts between the two clubs. It was the exact game that Golden State wanted to play. G Stephen Curry scored 44 points, and he dished out 11 assists. He played 58 minutes and shot the ball 35 times. Is there a way that the Warriors can even get up to play Game 2? That’s the biggest question that we have right now. They had everything go exactly the way that they wanted, and they just didn’t have enough at the end. There are too many weapons here for San Antonio, and fatigue has to be a factor as well. Not only did Curry play 58 minutes, but F Harrison Barnes played 53. For the Spurs, no one played more than 48 minutes, and only G Tony Parker, G Danny Green, and F Kawhi Leonard played more than 40 minutes. There is still plenty of gas left in the San Antonio tank. We don’t know how much is really left for Golden State. Lay the points in Game 2.

Warriors @ Spurs Game 2 Pick: San Antonio Spurs -7
Warriors @ Spurs Score Prediction: Spurs 103 – Warriors 93

Bulls Lead Series 1-0

Well, we didn’t see THAT coming! The Bulls came out of nowhere without F Luol Deng and without G Kirk Hinrich and ultimately found a way to beat the Heat, who really looked slow and sluggish over the course of the whole game. The second half was a bit better for Miami until the final several minutes of the game when the Bulls finished things off, but that definitely wasn’t something that we forecasted. That being said, we still think that laying the points is the best idea of the bunch. G Marco Belinelli played 47 minutes in Game 1, and F Jimmy Butler didn’t take a seat the whole game. F Chris Bosh hit just three field goals for the game, and the Heat as a whole shot 29.2 percent from beyond the arc. Worse was the fact that Miami was outrebounded 46-32. We have to think that’s going to improve as time goes on in this series. There is a point that F LeBron James and G Dwyane Wade should be set to take over, and we are cautiously going to forecast that happening here in Game 2. Perhaps we’ll turn out to be wrong and Chicago will end up ruling the day for a second straight night. However, we still think the percentages are on backing Miami.

Bulls @ Heat Game 2 Pick: Miami Heat -12
Bulls @ Heat Game 2 Score Prediction: Heat 106 – Bulls 93

Pacers Lead Series 1-0

Did the oddsmakers watch the same first game of this series that we did? New York had a miserable time trying to get anything going to the basket in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals, as the team had just 32 points in the paint. The Pacers won this first game without putting up a single fast break point. F Carmelo Anthony scored 27 points, but he had to take 28 shots to make that happen, and he and G JR Smith are doing everything that they shouldn’t be doing. They’re both just jacking up the rock when they get the chance to do so, and that just isn’t going to work against the Pacers. Instead, the ball needs to run through G Raymond Felton more, and he needs to be a better scorer and distributor. Indiana played a very well-rounded game, with all seven players that played big time minutes putting up at least eight points. G Lance Stephenson had a double-double, F David West scored 20, and C Roy Hibbert blocked five shots. That’s the type of play that we’re going to continue to see in this series, and we really love what we see out of the Pacers. Indiana might be able to make this series disappear in a hurry.

Pacers @ Knicks Game 2 Pick: Indiana Pacers +5.5
Pacers @ Knicks Game 2 Prediction: Indiana 89 – New York 83

The Memphis Grizzlies and the Oklahoma City Thunder are going to square off in Game 2 of their playoff series in a crucial NBA betting affair on May 7th. Join us here at Cappers Info, as we make our predictions for basketball for what should be a great game on Tuesday.

NBA Predictions: Memphis Grizzlies @ Oklahoma City Thunder
Date: Tuesday, May 7th, 9:30 ET
Location: Chesapeake Energy Arena, Oklahoma City, OK
NBA Betting Odds: Oklahoma City -3
Grizzlies vs. Thunder NBA TV Schedule: TNT

Thunder Lead Series 1-0

This is certainly an NBA betting line that we want to get in on right now. The Thunder are favored by a three-pointer, but we just aren’t so sure that’s justifiable at this point. Let’s call it what it is: Memphis blew Game 1. The Grizzlies had a 10 point lead in the fourth quarter, and about the only way that it could have lost this game, it did. F Kevin Durant took over. Here’s the problem that we have with Oklahoma City, though. The team only had a total of 13 assists in Game 1, and Durant had six of the 13. That just isn’t going to get the job done. This team has to move the basketball if it is going to be able to beat such a great defensive team. Meanwhile, we know that the Grizzlies are going to shoot better than 58.3 percent from the charity stripe in this game, and had they done better in Game 1, they’d be up 1-0 instead of down 1-0 in this series. It really feels like Oklahoma City is just grasping at this point. There’s a reason that the Grizzlies were the slightly favored team in this series, and there’s a reason that they are going to win Game 2 and bring this series back to the FedEx Forum all level at a game apiece.

Grizzlies @ Thunder Game 2 Pick: Memphis Grizzlies -3
Grizzlies @ Thunder Score Prediction: Grizzlies 98 – Thunder 92

Series Tied 0-0

We’re actually a bit surprised that the oddsmakers have lined the ‘total’ so high to open this series. Most are going to look at what the Warriors were able to do against the Denver Nuggets and think that this series should be a slam dunk for the ‘over’ every step of the way, but we really aren’t all that sure. Remember that over the course of the last two games of that series against an offensive-minded team, the Warriors only scored a total of 192 points. The Spurs held the Los Angeles Lakers to an average of just 85.3 points per game. Granted, we know that Golden State is going to score more than that, but is this a team that is really going to average much more than perhaps 95 points per game in the series? We really doubt it when push comes to shove. Head Coach Gregg Popovich has been scheming for the better part of a week for how to slow down G Stephen Curry and the Warriors, and we have to think that he has come up with the plan to do just that. In the end, this opening game is one where one team will get into the 100s and one team might not even come all that close. That being said, we never count out the Warriors, so we’ll take the ‘under’ instead of backing San Antonio, though we are convinced that both are winners more often than not.

Warriors @ Spurs Game 1 Pick: Under 201
Warriors @ Spurs Game 1 Score Prediction: Spurs 103 – Warriors 93

The oddsmakers are off of their rocker in this series. The implication is that perhaps Chicago really can stick around in this game, when in actuality, we think that this first game is going to be over within the first 15-20 minutes of action. The Bulls are just far too beat up right now. F Luol Deng, if he plays, is only just getting out of the hospital with an illness. G Kirk Hinrich is going to be asked to get back in the fold if he is able to after missing three of the seven games in the series against the Brooklyn Nets with a hamstring problem. C Joakim Noah is playing well, but he is playing through plantar fasciitis that probably would require the average player to be sitting for at least a few weeks. It just isn’t a pretty situation to be playing in against a team who only lost three games this year at home while it was trying to play real ball. The Heat haven’t broken a sweat yet in these playoffs, and they remember what the Bulls did to them when these two met in the Windy City in March. That was the game that ended Miami’s 27-game winning streak, the second longest streak in NBA history. You can bet that F LeBron James and company want to get some revenge, and they have been thinking about this Game 1 for the last seven days since finishing off the Milwaukee Bucks. This one won’t even be remotely close.

Bulls @ Heat Game 1 Pick: Miami Heat -11.5
Bulls @ Heat Game 1 Score Prediction: Heat 109 – Bulls 87

The Chicago Bulls and the Brooklyn Nets are going to square off in Game 7 of their playoff series in a crucial NBA betting affair on May 4th. Join us here at Cappers Info, as we make our predictions for basketball for what should be a great game on Saturday.

NBA Predictions: Chicago Bulls @ Brooklyn Nets
Date: Saturday, May 4th, 8:00 ET
Location: Barclays Center, Brooklyn, NY
NBA Betting Odds: Brooklyn -6.5
Bulls vs. Nets NBA TV Schedule: TNT

Series Tied 3-3

For the first time this year, we have a crucial Game 7 in which two teams are going to be fighting for their lives. Nothing is better than this, but we really wish that both teams were at full strength. Unfortunately for the Bulls, they really are the walking wounded out there. They aren’t going to have G Kirk Hinrich in all likelihood, and it’s sounding like they aren’t going to have F Luol Deng either. That’s really going to leave Head Coach Tom Thibodeau in quite the bind, knowing that he’ll have such a short bench to work with. In Game 6, he had to use G Marco Belinelli for 47 of the 48 minutes, and F Jimmy Butler literally didn’t sit down for a single second. C Joakim Noah is playing with plantar fasciitis, and he is doing a yeoman’s job in the paint in spite of that very painful injury. It’s tough enough to win games in the playoffs, and it’s even tougher to do so on the road. But when you’re missing three of your starters (though it’s tough to count G Derrick Rose in that mix since he hasn’t been with the team all year long), it’s a task that is darn near impossible. The Nets simply have to win this game by default. We just can’t imagine how Brooklyn would lose this one after doing all of the tough work in Games 5, and especially 6 on the road at the United Center. Laying 6.5 is a bit risky, but we think it’s the right thing to do.

Bulls @ Nets Game 7 Pick: Brooklyn Nets -6.5
Bulls @ Nets Score Prediction: Nets 92 – Bulls 81

Grizzlies Lead Series 3-2

After watching Game 5 of the Western Conference Quarterfinals between the Grizzlies and the Clippers, we were all set to back up the truck on the Grizz in Game 6… And then came this -6.5 price. Memphis is a great team, but it isn’t in a position where it should be laying a full touchdown in a playoff game under any reasonable circumstance. F Blake Griffin has an ankle sprain that might keep him out of the lineup, but we have to think if he can walk, he’s going to get back out there and play with desperation now officially in place for the Clip Joint. G Chris Paul has been magnificent in this series, and though he has been dealing with a bad thumb as well, he has clearly been the best player on the court. The bigs of F Zach Randolph and C Marc Gasol have been destroying LA in the paint, either directly through scoring or indirectly through creating open shots for others. Still, we have to take our chances in this game with the points. There’s a good chance that the winner of this game will only be in the 80s, and it isn’t going to take all that much from the Clips – perhaps 85 points or so – to be able to ensure the cover when push comes to shove.

Clippers @ Grizzlies Game 6 Pick: Los Angeles Clippers +6.5
Clippers @ Grizzlies Game 6 Prediction: Memphis 90 – Los Angeles 85

The Indiana Pacers and the Atlanta Hawks are going to square off in Game 6 of their playoff series in a crucial NBA betting affair on May 3rd. Join us here at Cappers Info, as we make our predictions for basketball for what should be a great game on Friday.

NBA Predictions: Indiana Pacers @ Atlanta Hawks
Date: Friday, May 3rd, 7:30 ET
Location: Phillips Arena, Atlanta, GA
NBA Betting Odds: Atlanta -1.5
Pacers vs. Hawks NBA TV Schedule: ESPN2

Pacers Lead Series 3-2

Time and again, we have seen lesser teams fold up in Game 6 in situations like this. Remember when the Los Angeles Lakers and the Oklahoma City Thunder played against each other in a great 1/8 series a few years ago before the Thunder were good? The home team won the first four games of that series, and when the Lakers won Game 5 at the Staples Center, the Thunder looked a bit deflated and ultimately were knocked out in Game 6. There’s something psychological about losing that third game on the road that tends to kill a team’s spirit like Atlanta’s. The Hawks now know that they not only have to pour their heart and soul into this game to win it, but they also have to go on the road on Sunday and figure out how to do something that they haven’t been able to do in five tries this season: Beat the Pacers at Bankers Life Fieldhouse. The end result is that the lower seeded teams tend to just throw in the towel at home and ultimately pack their bags in their own locker room, and that’s what we think is going to happen again on Friday night. Unless the Hawks come out of the blocks with guns blazing, we don’t think there is going to be any fight back. This is Indiana’s game to win, and it’s Indiana’s game to lose. Take the Pacers and the insulting point and a half.

Pacers @ Hawks Game 6 Pick: Indiana Pacers +1.5
Pacers @ Hawks Score Prediction: Pacers 97 – Hawks 91

Thunder Lead Series 3-2

Oh, Oklahoma City… You all are in a heck of a lot of trouble right now. The Thunder just don’t have any answers for what the Rockets are bringing to the table right now, and we think that it is insulting to think that they are going to be just one-point underdogs in this game. The argument could be made that the Rockets should have already won this series in five games, as they had every opportunity in the world to win Game 2 and Game 3. G James Harden is playing too well right now, and his teammates are doing a better job than F Kevin Durant’s teammates. Durant just can’t play point guard, and that’s what Head Coach Scott Brooks should be realizing. Unfortunately, Brooks just doesn’t have another guard on the roster that has a chance to keep the ball moving against the Rockets. The end result of this game is going to be ugly as we see it, as we think that Houston is going to jump out to the lead and never look back in this one to pour all of the pressure in the world on the Thunder, as there is a real chance for the Rockets to come all the way back and win this series.

Thunder @ Rockets Game 6 Pick: Houston Rockets -1
Thunder @ Rockets Game 6 Score Prediction: Rockets 107 – Thunder 97
