The time is here for more of our sparkling CBB picks, as we look at the schedule for basketball for Thursday night. The Georgia Bulldogs and Kentucky Wildcats will have it in a nationally televised game, which can be seen on the college basketball TV schedule on ESPN.

Free College Hoops Picks: Kentucky Wildcats @ Georgia Bulldogs
Date: Thursday, March 7th, 7:00 ET
Location: Stegeman Coliseum, Athens, GA
Kentucky vs. Georgia Live TV: ESPN

The argument could be made as to whether the Wildcats really are or are not in the NCAA Tournament at the moment. We tend to think that the 13-point loss at the Arkansas Razorbacks was further proof that this isn’t a tourney team without F Nerlens Noel in the lineup. The consensus to get into the dance seems to be that the Cats need to either beat the Florida Gators at home on Saturday or take down both Georgia and at least one, maybe two games in the SEC Tournament. This is a tough one for a team that is 0-3 SU and ATS on the road without Noel in the fold though, and that’s a bad sign going into Athens for the final legitimate road game of the year. The Dawgs have quietly been stingy, and they have covers in nine of their last 10 games dating back to a home win against the Auburn Tigers on January 30th. Though this isn’t a team that is going to be in the postseason in all likelihood, we still think that UGA is going to be out for blood against a team that it would love nothing more than to trounce. This is the one and only meeting of the year for the Cats and the Dawgs, and this is going to be one for the pups to shine on their home court.

Kentucky vs. Georgia Pick: Georgia Bulldogs +3

BovadaThe Nebraska Cornhuskers and the Georgia Bulldogs are set to kick off the 2013 Capital One Bowl on Tuesday 1/1, and I’m set to make my Capital One Bowl pick for the affair at the Florida Citrus Bowl. Kickoff is set for 1:00 ET, and I’ve got the perfect NCAA football pick for the Capital One Bowl.

2013 Capital One Bowl
Nebraska Cornhuskers (10-3, 6-6-1 ATS) +8.5
Georgia Bulldogs (11-2, 7-6 ATS) -8.5
Over/Under 60.5

One of the little known facts that you won’t find about the bowl season this year that I dug up is that the Cornhuskers have actually played eight of their 12 games beyond the ‘total’ this year. This is a team that is always billed to be one of the best defensive teams in the land. It’s true that this secondary is out of this world, but when you get to the front seven, the Black Shirts just aren’t as strong as they normally are. The end result is that the team has been trampled by the Ohio State Buckeyes and Wisconsin Badgers in a pair of brutal losses against teams that just drilled the ball right down their throats.

Enter: Georgia. The Bulldogs actually found a way to run on the Alabama Crimson Tide in the SEC Championship Game, as RB Todd Gurley had a remarkable game for a freshman on such a big stage. He nearly won the game all by himself against what is perceived to be the best team in America and likely the national champs. Yes, the Bulldogs were beaten by the South Carolina Gamecocks, but every team is allowed a mulligan. In the SEC, going 11-1 in the regular season and then losing by a matter of a few yards to the Crimson Tide still makes you one of the best teams in America. Remember too, that not only can UGA run it, but QB Aaron Murray has a cannon of an arm, and he has had a great year in which he has thrown for nearly 3,500 yards in the SEC.

I just can’t help but wonder if the Cornhuskers are going to get tattooed in this game and totally run off of the tracks by the Georgia offense. The Bulldogs averaged 37.2 points per game this year, and I’ve got to think that they are at least going to get to that mark in this one as well. As long as QB Taylor Martinez doesn’t ultimately screw me over, this should be an ‘over’ contest on New Year’s Day to kick off 2013.

To beat the Capital One Bowl odds, you have to put a heck of a lot of work into the game. Our college football expert handicappers have done just that here at Cappers Info, and we think that we have the winning edge for the clash between the Nebraska Cornhuskers vs. Georgia Bulldogs.

Capital One Bowl Picks: Nebraska Cornhuskers vs. Georgia Bulldogs
Date: Tuesday, January 1st, 1:00 ET
Location: Florida Citrus Bowl, Orlando, FL
Capital One Bowl Betting Odds: Georgia -8.5
Nebraska vs. Georgia Live TV Coverage: ABC

The last time that we saw the Cornhuskers, they were busy getting trampled by the Wisconsin Badgers in the Big Ten Championship Game. They still have one of the best secondaries in the country, thus one of the best pass defenses in the land at 148.2 yards per game, but all of their defensive stats were skewed by the 70-31 loss in that one. The team had won six straight games in conference prior to that, but when Nebraska has been bad, it has been awful. We also really don’t trust QB Taylor Martinez, as he hasn’t proven all that much to us in his first few years with the Children of the Corn in the biggest games that he has played, and this is going to be a really tough test against a team that has a lot to prove in this one.

The Bulldogs came up just a few yards short of playing for the BCS National Championship this year, and they are going to be in the middle of a real fight in this one if they don’t bring their A-Game. If they do though, they really shouldn’t have all that much in the way of problems. QB Aaron Murray threw for 3,458 yards this year and has rounded into one of the best quarterbacks that the SEC has to offer, and RB Todd Gurley has matured quickly as a freshman and has a chance to break all sorts of school rushing records when push comes to shove if he stays for all four years in Athens. This year, Gurley had 1,260 yards and 16 trips to the end zone, and he played a yeoman’s game against the Crimson Tide in the SEC Championship Game.

Remember two years ago when Alabama was shut out of the BCS? The team came to the Sunshine State and blew the doors off of the Michigan State Spartans, whom many think were shafted out of the BCS that year. That’s sort of what this game reminds us of. Nebraska has allowed at least 63 points twice this year, and though we don’t think that that will ultimately happen again when push comes to shove, we just don’t see how Martinez is going to keep the ball moving against this unit. If he does, it’ll be a shock to us, as we think that this is going to be a one-romp from the opening kickoff. Look for the Dawgs to have their day, as they lock up finishing in the Top 5 in the country this year with a 12-2 record.

Nebraska vs. Georgia Pick: Georgia Bulldogs -8.5
Capital One Bowl Score Prediction: Georgia 45 – Nebraska 20

Week 14 College Football Picks: Alabama Crimson Tide vs. Georgia Bulldogs
Date: Saturday, December 1st, 4:00 ET
Location: Georgia Dome, Atlanta, GA
CFB Betting Odds: Alabama -7.5
Alabama vs. Georgia Live TV: CBS

SEC supremacists in the Southeast are absolutely loving this game, but so many of them really believe that UGA has a chance of winning this one. However, just as it is so wrong to see so many dominating teams out of the SEC, it is even more wrong how much better the West is than the East this year. Sure, South Carolina challenged LSU, and Florida beat LSU, but in the end, the only team that beat Bama was Texas A&M, a team that, had it played the Gators at the end of the season and not the beginning, probably would have destroyed them. Georgia was outclassed last year in the end by the Bayou Bengals in this game, and this time around, it’s going to be even more difficult. Remember, the Bulldogs went 11-1 this year, but they didn’t play Alabama, they didn’t play LSU, they didn’t play Texas A&M, and they didn’t play a single team that is going to finish the year above .500 out of conference. Now’s the time that they are going to pay and pay dearly for having not scheduled anyone, as they’ll get rocked by Alabama from the get go.

Alabama vs. Georgia Pick: Alabama Crimson Tide -7.5

Join us on Saturday night, as we make our Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets @ Georgia Bulldogs free picks and predictions for what should be a great clash on the gridiron.

Week 13 College Football Picks: Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets @ Georgia Bulldogs
Date: Saturday, November 24th, 12:00 ET
Location: Sanford Stadium, Athens, GA
CFB Betting Odds: Georgia -14.5
Georgia Tech @ Georgia Live TV: ESPN

A remarkable set of rivalry games gets started on Saturday afternoon in Athens, where the Bulldogs and the Yellow Jackets are going to have it out. QB Aaron Murray is going to be able to throw all over the place, but it becomes very interesting to see what’s going to happen on the other side of the ball. The Ramblin’ Wreck have been just rolling all over teams, scoring 42, 68, and 33 points in their last three games, all of which have been wins and cover. Yes, we know that Georgia has been playing well, too, but this is a very different game to try to prepare for. QB Vad Lee has been playing so well for Tech, and he is going to be a force to be reckoned with for sure. The triple option has had some success against UGA in the past, and if that turns out to be the case once again this year, this could be a really tough spot for the Dawgs with so much pressure on them and a date with the Alabama Crimson Tide coming next week. This could be a very, very close game.

Georgia Tech @ Georgia Pick: Georgia Tech +14.5
Georgia Tech @ Georgia Score Prediction: Georgia 31 – Georgia Tech 30

The Georgia Bulldogs and the Auburn Tigers are going to square off in Week 11 of the college football betting campaign. Join us here at Cappers Info, as we make our predictions for football for what should be a great game on Saturday.

Week 11 College Football Picks: Georgia Bulldogs @ Auburn Tigers
Date: Saturday, November 10th, 7:00 ET
Location: Jordan Hare Stadium, Auburn, AL
CFB Betting Odds: Georgia -15.5
Georgia vs. Auburn Live TV: ESPN2

Auburn is in a bad spot once again in this one, knowing that it doesn’t have all that much of a quarterback to turn the ball over to, and the ground game, though good, shouldn’t have all that much in the way of room against the Bulldogs’ stout defense. Georgia knows that it has just too much on the line in this one to totally screw the pooch, as the SEC East title will be won or lost here at Auburn. A shot for the BCS National Championship is still clearly up in the air as well, and winning out, including getting that pivotal victory over Alabama, might get the job done. QB Aaron Murray hasn’t been fabulous though, and unless he plans on throwing four touchdowns or so on Saturday night, this might be a tough game to cover. Jordan Hare Stadium has done some weird things to teams in the past, especially when you’re talking about night games in the SEC. Georgia had better be careful…

Georgia @ Auburn Pick: Auburn Tigers +15.5
Georgia @ Auburn Score Prediction: Georgia 27 – Auburn 17

Week 10 College Football Picks: Mississippi Rebels @ Georgia Bulldogs
Date: Saturday, November 3rd, 3:30 ET
Location: Sanford Stadium, Athens, GA
CFB Betting Odds: Georgia -14
Mississippi vs. Georgia Live TV: CBS

The Bulldogs are coming off of their biggest win of the year, a triumph in Jacksonville over the hated Gators. Now, they are just two games away from SEC Championship Game, but this is going to be a tough one at home. Ole Miss is going to be up for this one, and the team is one of the best cover teams in the land at 7-1 ATS, including five in a row. Head Coach Drew Freeze has his team playing well, and QB Bo Wallace is doing well, throwing for 1,649 yards and 10 TDs against nine picks. He also has five touchdowns on the ground to boot as a dual threat. Georgia’s offense has only scored a total of 53 points over the course of the last three games, and when push comes to shove, it is going to be tough to see how this team is going to score the 35 or so points that are probably going to be required to cover the college football odds in this one.

Mississippi @ Georgia Pick: Mississippi +14
Mississippi @ Georgia Score Prediction: Georgia 27 – Mississippi 20

Location: EverBank Field, Jacksonville, FL
CFB Betting Odds: Florida -6.5
Georgia vs. Florida Live TV: CBS

The World’s Largest Cocktail Party is always one of the most fun games of the year, and this should be no exception. These two teams hate each other, and the stakes are even higher this year, knowing that the game has both SEC and National Championship implications for both sides for the first time in quite some time. Last year, it was QB Aaron Murray that came onto the scene and led his team to a victory, but this could be the year that QB Jeff Driskel makes a name for himself for the orange and blue. It’s the defense that really has our eyes locked on the Gators though, as we know that this unit really hasn’t had all that many lapses this year. Georgia though, doesn’t quite look like a team that is going to be able to hold the Gators in the teens in points. If that turns out to be the case, we definitely want to be backing Florida, even laying a full touchdown.

Georgia @ Florida Pick: Florida -6.5
Georgia @ Florida Score Prediction: Florida 27 – Georgia 13

Location: Williams Brice Stadium, Columbia, SC
CFB Betting Odds: South Carolina -2
Georgia vs. South Carolina Live TV: ESPN

First place in the SEC East is going to be on the line in this one in Columbia, and it is arguably the most important game that we have seen on the collegiate gridiron all year long. The implication is that Georgia is the better of these two teams, as the oddsmakers have favored it by two points when it should be an underdog by significantly more. QB Connor Shaw probably isn’t the better of these two quarterbacks, but Head Coach Steve Spurrier knows that he has an advantage with his defense, which is one of the best units in the SEC. His South Carolina outfit will not give up 44 points in a game this year as the Bulldogs did against the Volunteers last week, and it is this unit that should propel his team to victory on Saturday night.

Georgia @ South Carolina Pick: South Carolina -2
Georgia @ South Carolina Score Prediction: South Carolina 23 – Georgia 14

BovadaThe Tennessee Volunteers and the Georgia Bulldogs are set to kick off their college football clash on Saturday 9/29, and I’m set to make my college football pick for the affair at Sanford Stadium. Kickoff is set for 3:30 ET, and I’ve got the perfect NCAA football pick for this outstanding clash.

Tennessee Volunteers (3-1, 1-3 ATS) +14
Georgia Bulldogs (4-0, 2-2 ATS) -14
Over/Under 58

Last week, I picked on the Volunteers, as they were laying way, way too many points against the Akron Zips in a vintage look ahead game. This week’s clash against UGA was a heck of a lot more important, and it showed; the Vols were in a tie game at halftime against one of the nation’s worst teams. This week though, the tables are turned, and it might be the Bulldogs that are playing look ahead with the visiting Volunteers coming to Sanford Stadium.

QB Tyler Bray might be one of the best quarterbacks in the country, and he is going to be ready for the challenge of playing against the Bulldogs and QB Aaron Murray. There’s a real question as to just how good the defense for both of these teams are. Both squads have allowed at least 20 points in three out of four games over the course of this season, and that’s not good considering the fact that neither have faced the elite teams in the conference as of yet.

The Bulldogs have dominated in this series in back to back years, but prior to that, it was Tennessee that had covered three in a row. Again, we look at the scheduling and think that that is just as important as anything else here. South Carolina is up next for Georgia. A bye week is up next for Tennessee. This is just a bad, bad spot for the Dawgs, and the Vols might catch them napping.

Tennessee vs. Georgia Tips: Tennessee +14

Date: Saturday, September 22nd, 7:45 ET
Location: Sanford Stadium, Athens, GA
CFB Betting Odds: Georgia -15
Vanderbilt vs. Georgia Live TV: ESPN2

The Bulldogs and the Commodores have had a great history with one another, and this is a series in which UGA really just doesn’t perform all that well in regularly. The Dores have already come to Athens and scored an upset six years ago, and ever since that point, it feels like more of these games have been closer than perhaps they should have been. This time should be no exception, as we feel as though Vanderbilt really has played relatively well this year, and there is no shame in getting beaten on the road by Northwestern or clipped at the gun at home by South Carolina. We’re not saying that this one is going to end in an upset, but UGA had better be careful, or it might find itself in a lot more of a dog fight than it wants to be in.

Vanderbilt @ Georgia Pick: Vanderbilt +15
Vanderbilt @ Georgia Score Prediction: Georgia 30 – Vanderbilt 21

College football betting fans are running to their online sportsbooks to place their Georgia Bulldogs vs. Missouri bets and predictions, and here at Cappers Info, we are making our Saturday football picks for this encounter.

Week 2 College Football Picks: Georgia Bulldogs @ Missouri Tigers
Date: Saturday, September 8th, 7:45 ET
Location: Faurot Field, Columbia, MO
CFB Betting Odds: Georgia -2
Georgia vs. Missouri Live TV: ESPN

We know that we want to stay far, far away from this point spread this week, as it is the trickiest line on the board in our eyes. Georgia obviously is a team that has superior talent, but this is one of those games where home field advantage really could end up playing a huge factor for the ‘Zou. What we do like most certainly is the ability that both of these offenses have to succeed. Missouri put up 62 last week against Southeastern Louisiana, and though we don’t put all that much stock into that, we do also know that Georgia gave up 23 last week against Buffalo. This is obviously a significantly tougher challenge than that was. We think that both of these teams are going to be able to get into the 30s, which should be able to push this one past the number. Gun to our head, we’d take the Bulldogs to win this game behind the experienced QB Aaron Murray, but we are much, much more confident in the ‘total’ instead.

Georgia @ Missouri Pick: Georgia/Missouri Over 54.5
Georgia @ Missouri Score Prediction: Georgia 34 – Missouri 30
