Round of 32 Betting Lines
#9 Wichita State Shockers +6.5
#1 Gonzaga Bulldogs -6.5
Over/Under 129

Will the real Gonzaga Bulldogs please stand up? It’s going to be tough to tell, even as this tournament proceeds as to whether or not the Zags truthfully belonged as a No. 1 seed or not in the NCAA Tournament. They sure as heck didn’t look like it against the Southern Jaguars on Thursday, as they were pushed right to the brink of elimination by a No. 16 seed, which was in a tied game with just a few minutes left to play. Of course, at this point, it’s all about survival, and Head Coach Mark Few and the gang clearly at least did that on Thursday. Wichita State played in a very physical game against the Pitt Panthers on Thursday as well, and we think that could really come back to hurt it when push comes to shove in this game. The Bulldogs are a bit of finesse than anything else, but they can bang with you on the inside and won’t be afraid to do so. We think that this is the end of the road for a gritty Wichita State team, but it won’t once again come without a real fight to the Zags. F Kelly Olynyk and F Elias Harris will play better ball in this one than they did against Southern, but it won’t be good enough to win this game by a full touchdown when push comes to shove. Take F Carl Hall, F Cleanthony Early, and the Shockers to stick inside of this number.

Wichita State vs. Gonzaga Free Pick: Wichita State Shockers +6.5

Second Round Betting Lines
#16 Southern Jaguars +21.5
#1 Gonzaga Bulldogs -21.5
Over/Under 127.5

5Dimes NCAA TournamentApologies to the Jaguars and their fans in advance. You don’t belong in the NCAA Tournament. Southern finished second this year in the SWAC, and it very well could have gone on to win the conference title in a fair fight. However, with Texas Southern and Arkansas Pine Bluff academically ineligible for the postseason, there wasn’t a team left in the conference tournament that finished the year anywhere near .500 outside of Southern. And, to make matters worse, the Jaguars needed a late push to hold off Prairie View A&M by a point in a brutal 45-44 game. This is a team that should be playing in Dayton, not in Salt Lake City. Alas, here come the Jaguars anyway, traveling all the way to the Beehive State, where they are going to be at a severe disadvantage playing against a Gonzaga team that should have a huge home court advantage. On top of everything else, the Bulldogs have a chip on their shoulder that the nation disrespects their 31-2 record in the name of, “They haven’t beaten anybody.” As true as that might be, this is a “nobody” as well. The reserves from Gonzaga could play this game from start to finish, and it still wouldn’t be close. We fully expect to see the Zags up by 15-20 at halftime, and then their backups will pull away for an easy cover in the second half. Gonzaga was 5-4 ATS against 20+ point spreads this year, so it has a lot of experience in games such as these.

Southern vs. Gonzaga Free Pick: Gonzaga Bulldogs -21.5
Southern vs. Gonzaga Predictions: Gonzaga 78 – Southern 49

CappersInfo is back with its St. Mary’s Gaels vs. Gonzaga Bulldogs picks and predictions, as we look to give you all of the college basketball advice and tips that you need to beat your online sportsbook for this crucial Monday night tilt.

WCC Tournament Picks: St. Mary’s Gaels vs. Gonzaga Bulldogs
Date: Monday, March 11th, 9:00 ET
Location: Orleans Arena, Las Vegas, NV
St. Mary’s vs. Gonzaga Live TV: ESPN

GT Bets Banner

And we meet again, old friend. The Bulldogs and the Gaels seem to face each other in the WCC Final every single season. It seems as though once a year, St. Mary’s is able to stop the Zags, something that has yet to happen this season. It had to wait until the WCC Final last year for the Gaels to get that elusive win that gave them the automatic bid into the NCAA Tournament, and we’re back here at the Orleans for another big time showdown of these rivals. That being said, save for a stretch right at the end of the game when these two played at the Kennel in January, Gonzaga has been the dominating team. The Bulldogs have turned on the jets when need be, and they really are the better of the two clubs on the court by a sizeable margin. Most are going to look at the game that G Matthew Dellavedova had against the San Diego Toreros in the semifinals and think that he is going to come up with a big time game against Gonzaga on Monday. He very well could, but we aren’t sold. We don’t think that 2-of-12 shooting performance was a shock. This is a man that has exerted a lot of energy over the course of the last four years to keep his Gaels in the NCAA Tournament picture. We like Gonzaga here to turn up the pressure once again on the Gaels, shut down them, and then lock up a top seed in the NCAA Tournament once and for all.

St. Mary’s vs. Gonzaga Pick: Gonzaga Bulldogs -4
WCC Final Prediction: Gonzaga 80 – St. Mary’s 68

Free College Basketball Picks: Gonzaga Bulldogs @ BYU Cougars

Gonzaga vs. BYU Live TV: ESPN2

BetGuardian

There are a lot out there that are going to assume that the Cougars are going to be able to challenge in this one because it is their version of the Super Bowl. They really have to have this one if they want to get themselves back on the bubble, something that seems to be tremendously far away at this point. However, against teams that are likely to be in the dance as at large eligible teams, BYU is 0-7 SU and 1-6 ATS to show for its work this season, and a lot of those games really haven’t been all that close. Gonzaga just doesn’t lose, and it has a knack for absolutely obliterating teams, especially here in the West Coast Conference. Last week, the team went on the road and really stuck it to the St. Mary’s Gaels without all that much of a fight, and we expect to see the exact same thing happen this time around. The Cougars are a nice story, but they’re a nice story that belongs in the NIT, not in the NCAA Tournament. The Zags are just too deep of a team for any of these WCC teams to beat, and we would be shocked to see anything but Gonzaga running through the rest of the regular season and the WCC Tournament without another loss.

Gonzaga vs. BYU Pick: Gonzaga Bulldogs -6
Gonzaga vs. BYU Prediction: Gonzaga 81 – BYU 65

The time is here for more of our sparkling CBB picks, as we look at the schedule for basketball for Thursday night. The St. Mary’s Gaels and Gonzaga Bulldogs will have it in a nationally televised game, which can be seen on the college basketball TV schedule on ESPN2.

Free College Hoops Picks: Gonzaga Bulldogs @ St. Mary’s Gaels
Date: Thursday, February 14th, 11:00 ET
Location: McKeon Pavilion, Moraga, CA
Gonzaga vs. St. Mary’s Live TV: ESPN2

If there is a game this year that the Zags are going to get tripped in conference play, this is the one where it is going to happen. St. Mary’s has a very underwhelming resume that doesn’t include a heck of a lot of great wins, and as history has always seemed to have it, the Gaels have to take at least one over the course of the year against Gonzaga to get into the dance. This is the best chance for that to happen for sure. St. Mary’s has the offense to get the job done against the Bulldogs, as it scored 78 points the first time around when these two teams met at the Kennel. The question is whether the defense is going to be able to keep down a Gonzaga offense that is clocking right now and is averaging 78.6 points per game. The San Diego Toreros were able to push the Bulldogs to the brink in their most recent road game, and we saw the Butler Bulldogs snare a huge win at Hinkle Fieldhouse back in the middle of January. The Zags can be had, and we wouldn’t be surprised if they are by G Matthew Dellavedova and the gang in the biggest bubble game of the season for the Gaels.

Gonzaga vs. St. Mary’s Pick: St. Mary’s Gaels +1
Gonzaga vs. St. Mary’s Prediction: St. Mary’s 79 – Gonzaga 74

The time is here for more of our sparkling CBB picks, as we look at the schedule for basketball for Thursday night. The Loyola Marymount Lions and Gonzaga Bulldogs will have it in a nationally televised game, which can be seen on the college basketball TV schedule on ESPN2.

Free College Hoops Picks: Gonzaga Bulldogs @ Loyola Marymount Lions
Date: Thursday, January 31st, 11:00 ET
Location: Gersten Pavilion, Los Angeles, CA
Gonzaga vs. Loyola Marymount Live TV: ESPN2

Loyola Marymount has the ability to get a heck of a lot of points on the board. G Anthony Ireland is good for 20.0 points per game, while F Ashley Hamilton is averaging 14.5 points per game. Of course, if Gonzaga shuts down at least one, and heaven forbid both of these players, the Lions are absolutely dead. The Zags just don’t take nights off, and it shows. They beat San Francisco by 14, BYU by 20, Portland by 22, and Pepperdine by 16 in games against the lesser teams in the West Coast Conference. It doesn’t get much lower than the Lions, who are just 8-12 SU and 5-11 ATS on the campaign. Home court advantage doesn’t mean as much here in LA as it would in the Kennel, and we think that the Zags are set to get the job done in a big time way. Don’t be all that shocked if this turns out to be a 20+ point game once again, especially knowing that the Bulldogs are 9-3 ATS in the last 12 games in this series.

Gonzaga vs. Loyola Marymount Pick: Gonzaga Bulldogs -16.5
Gonzaga vs. Loyola Marymount Prediction: Gonzaga 81 – Loyola Marymount 58

If you like high flying basketball, this is going to be the game for you! The Cougars and the Bulldogs are going to be expected to play a high scoring game, and they shouldn’t disappoint. Many might look at the 70-69 game between the Cougs and the St. Mary’s Gaels and think that this one is going to be similar, but this time around, both of these teams’ strengths play into the other’s weaknesses. BYU has a tremendously clutch shooter in G Tyler Haws, who had back to back 30+ point games a couple weeks ago to help spur the Cougs to victories. He is averaging over 21 points per game this year, and we would be shocked if he and F Brandon Davies didn’t combine for at least 40 in this one. Gonzaga meanwhile, is going to take advantage of a bit of an undersized BYU team in the paint. The combination of F Kelly Olynyk, F Elias Harris, C Sam Dower, and C Przemek Karnowski will dominate down low, and there aren’t going to be any good answers from BYU, save for to score more points. BYU was held down to 58 and 63 in two of the three meetings last year with these two teams, and there is no way that that is the case again in this one. Look for the Cougs to approach 70, and this one to fly past the ‘total’.

BYU vs. Gonzaga Pick: Over 148
BYU vs. Gonzaga Prediction: Gonzaga 78 – BYU 75

These night games in the Kennel are always tough, and they are made all the more interesting this year because of the fact that the Zags are such a great team this year. Gonzaga is led by F Kelly Olynyk, who literally has been unstoppable over the course of the last eight games or so. He put up 33 against the Santa Clara Broncos, and he adds to a team that already has plenty of other stars like F Elias Harris, G Kevin Pangos, and G Gary Bell Jr. This legitimately could be a Final Four team this year with the right draw in the bracket, and it wouldn’t be a shock to most in the country if that were to be the case. St. Mary’s though, knows what it takes to win here in Spokane. Granted, the teams from two and three years ago were better than this team is, but men like F Mitchell Young, G Jorden Page, G Stephen Holt, and G Matthew Dellavedova have been here for quite some time. The Gaels love to fly up and down the court, and they do so with ease at times. There is a heck of a lot of veteran leadership here in St. Mary’s, and we have a tough time thinking that this game is going to be a blowout. Take the points.

St. Mary’s vs. Gonzaga Pick: St. Mary’s Gaels +10
St. Mary’s vs. Gonzaga Prediction: Gonzaga 84 – St. Mary’s 80

CappersInfo is back with its Baylor Bears vs. Gonzaga Bulldogs picks and predictions, as we look to give you all of the college basketball advice and tips that you need to beat your online sportsbook for this crucial Friday night tilt.

College Basketball Picks: Baylor Bears @ Gonzaga Bulldogs

The Bears have been all over the place this year, as they have some fantastic wins (i.e. @ Kentucky) and some horrid losses (i.e. vs. Charleston). They have had games where they have scored 97 points (St. John’s) and games in which they have scored 59 (Charleston). They’ve allowed as many as 78 (St. John’s) or as few in a reasonable game as 55 (Kentucky). Meanwhile, the Zags have been a heck of a lot more consistent, really only falling over one bump in the road over the course of the season. They were beaten by Illinois in the last major game played here at the Kennel 85-74, but since that point, they have fired back with easy blowouts over Kansas State and Campbell. The club is 11-3 ATS in its last 14 home games as well, and that’s more than good enough for us to want to back a team that we really think could legitimately be in the Final Four this year when push comes to shove. Gonzaga is 2-0 SU and 1-1 ATS in two games against the Bears in school history, and this is the time to add to those marks.

Baylor vs. Gonzaga Pick: Gonzaga Bulldogs
Baylor vs. Gonzaga Prediction: Gonzaga 81 – Baylor 68

The time is here for more of our sparkling CBB picks, as we look at the schedule for basketball for Saturday night. The Gonzaga Bulldogs and Kansas State Wildcats will have it in a nationally televised game, which can be seen on the college basketball TV schedule on ESPN2.

Free College Hoops Picks: Kansas State Wildcats @ Gonzaga Bulldogs
Date: Saturday, December 15th, 9:00 ET
Location: Key Arena, Seattle, WA
Kansas State vs. Gonzaga Live TV: ESPN2

This is a neutral site game in name only, as the Bulldogs are clearly going to have the bigger following playing here in Seattle than Kansas State will in spite of the fact that it is a solid three or four hours of driving to get from Spokane to Seattle. This is the return trip for the Wildcats to the Apple State after Gonzaga played at the Sprint Center two years ago. K-State only has one blemish this year against a Michigan Wolverines teams that is clearly one of the best in the country. Of course, the rest of the schedule has been chock full of nothing. Gonzaga probably would have been favored by two touchdowns in this game if not for the fact that over the course of the last week and a half, it needed a buzzer-beater to take down the Washington State Cougars and were trumped by the Illinois Fighting Illini at home. We do think that there is bigger and better on the horizon for the Zags though, and all of that might come to a head this weekend. It’s high time for Head Coach Mark Few and the gang to put together a very convincing victory, and that’s exactly what will happen on Saturday night.

The time is here for more of our sparkling CBB picks, as we look at the schedule for basketball for Saturday night. The Gonzaga Bulldogs and Illinois Fighting Illini will have it in a nationally televised game, which can be seen on the college basketball TV schedule on ESPN2.

Free College Hoops Picks: Illinois Fighting Illini @ Gonzaga Bulldogs

Illinois vs. Gonzaga Live TV: ESPN2

Going to Spokane is absolutely no fun for any team in the nation, but especially not for a Top 15 ranked team coming here in one of the biggest games of the year for the Zags. A very talented Gonzaga team has a real chance to be in the Final Four this year, and this is the first real chance to prove it. We love the combination of F Elias Harris, G Kevin Pangos, and G Gary Bell Jr., and we know that C Przemek Karnowski is bringing a heck of a lot to the table as well. G David Stockton, son of the great Gonzaga star, G John Stockton is playing just like his dad as well, dishing out a ton of assists and scoring points sparingly, but he is having a great time playing with this team. Don’t get us wrong, we think that the Illini are solid this year, but we don’t think that they are a legitimate Top 10 type of team. They really haven’t beaten all that much in the way of talented teams, though the wins over USC and Butler were nice in Maui. This is going to be a rude awakening we think, and a real notice to the rest of the country that the Zags are legit.

Illinois vs. Gonzaga Pick: Gonzaga Bulldogs
Illinois vs. Gonzaga Prediction: Gonzaga 81 – Illinois 65

Many expect to just see Gonzaga and the West Virginia Mountaineers playing in the finale of the Old Spice Classic, and we too, would be surprised if that’s not the way that this panned out. The Bulldogs are just running all over the place right now, as they are averaging 94.3 points per game, the best mark in the land. They already have a blowout win over West Virginia from the College Hoops Marathon, and in that game, 84 points were dropped. Gary Bell Jr., Elias Harris, Kevin Pangos, and so many others are adding to the effort for the Zags night in and night out, and there is no reason to think that that won’t continue on Thanksgiving Day in the Sunshine State. Clemson has a team that has played well over the course of the first two games of the campaign, but that doesn’t mean that it is ready to take on a Top 25 team yet this year. Devin Booker and Milton Jennings are really two of the only major offensive weapons that this team has found thus far this year. Though we do expect to see the Tigers at least somewhat be able to slow down the Zags, it isn’t going to matter in the end. This one screams to be a romp for Gonzaga.

Clemson vs. Gonzaga Pick: Gonzaga Bulldogs
Clemson vs. Gonzaga Prediction: Gonzaga 82 – Clemson 66
