The last time that a host team won the Grey Cup was way back in 1994. Sure, they were able to sweep the season series against the Leos, but those were their only two wins against teams from the West Division. The East was dreadful this year, and that’s where Winnipeg made its living. In the end, QB Travis Lulay will become a bona fide star once and for all at BC Place, and he will lead his team to a Grey Cup triumph that looked so unlikely just three months ago when he had his team off to a 1-6 start to the season.
