#9 Missouri Tigers -3
#8 Colorado State Rams +3
Over/Under 142.5

The allure of the Tigers is something that is totally mystifying to us at this point. Missouri has a good history historically in the dance, but anyone who doesn’t have the shortest memory in the world surely remembers what Norfolk State did to this team last year. The Tigers went 17-0 SU at home and 3-7 ATS in legitimate road games this season. All 10 SU losses came either in neutral site or road games. Rebounding the basketball is normally the edge that Missouri has in games. Unfortunately for the ‘Zou, this time around, it gets the only team in the entire nation that rebounds the basketball better than it does. Colorado State is battle tested. The team has played through the entire Mountain West, and it has done so with gusto, beating some of the best that the league has to offer. Rarely do the men clad in green get beaten badly. Missouri on the other hand, was dropped by 31 by Florida, 15 by Ole Miss, and 23 by Louisville. Granted, these Tigers now are better than those Tigers were back in November, December, and January, but the case remains the same. We just don’t’ see how Missouri is closing out a game like this against a team like Colorado State, which will stay on the glass and continue to be hungry for the full 40 minutes. The Rams haven’t won a postseason game at any level since 1999, but that might be all set to change on Thursday. We think that the wrong team is favored in a game that could still swing either way.

Here in the SEC, nothing is a guarantee. Florida is dancing. Missouri should be dancing. Everyone else… meh! Tennessee is one of those teams that will be right there on the bubble come Selection Sunday. The Vols shot themselves in the foot last week by losing at Georgia, but the way the Bulldogs are playing right now, the loss doesn’t look all that horrid. UT has won seven of its last eight games, and it is 7-1 ATS to show for its work in that time as well. Unfortunately for the Volunteers in this one, the oddsmakers have caught on. The perception is there that Missouri can’t play on the road, as it has lost most of its big time road games this season. However, the loss to Arkansas should have gone the other way, and the OT defeat at Rupp Arena was a close game from the get go. We think that the pressure is going to be too much for the Volunteers to handle. They are expected to win this game to get into the NCAA Tournament, but we have seen this play out far too many times in the SEC to be fooled. If there is any doubt about the Tigers and where they stand in the mix for the dance, that doubt will be removed by (finally) getting that elusive road win on Rocky Top.

If Arkansas is going to get into the NCAA Tournament, it is going to have to prove that it can win some games on the road. Unfortunately, the Razorbacks only have a single legitimate road win, that coming against the Auburn Tigers, and they have one neutral court win against the 10-19 Alabama A&M Bulldogs. The club probably should have lost to Missouri the first time that these two teams met, as that was a game that came down to the wire at Bud Walton Arena and ended with a bunch of turnovers on the Tigers in the dying possessions of the game. This time around, we think that Missouri is going to have that killer instinct to get the job done when push comes to shove. G Phil Pressey and the gang are going to put the press on an Arkansas team that hasn’t coped well with the dose of its own medicine on the road this year, and F Alex Oriakhi and the bigs should dominate on the glass. Missouri had 17 more rebounds than Arkansas did in the first meeting of the year, and the only thing that really kept the Hogs in it was forcing 17 turnovers. That won’t happen again in this one, and the Tigers should roll to an easy ‘W’.

Arkansas vs. Missouri Pick: Missouri Tigers -10
Arkansas vs. Missouri Prediction: Missouri 74 – Arkansas 63

It’s not often that you say a game between a pair of ranked teams in one of the most important of the day, but the chase for the dance in the SEC is hot and heavy right now with a number of teams looking for big wins over the other. Kentucky is one of these teams that may or may not be on the right side of the bubble right now, knowing that it has played horrid basketball without F Nerlens Noel. Noel’s collegiate career is likely over, but the truth of the matter is that the Wildcats should theoretically be talented enough without him to excel. Head Coach John Calipari and the gang just haven’t though, and there is no way to believe that they are going to in this game against Missouri. The Tigers have to be flying high off of that win against the Florida Gators earlier this week, and if they can keep their wits about them going into Rupp Arena, they can come up with a big time road win that would cement a place in the NCAA Tournament. Don’t be all that shocked if that’s what ultimately ends up happening on Saturday night.

Missouri vs. Kentucky Pick: Missouri Tigers +3
Missouri vs. Kentucky Prediction: Missouri 68 – Kentucky 65

It doesn’t take a genius to figure out how important this game truly is to the Gators and the Tigers. UF’s chances of garnering signature wins is just about said and done with, and losing any games like this one would be a real knock on the team’s ability to ultimately go on and get a No. 1 seed in the dance. Missouri is sitting firmly on the bubble right now, and a loss to Arkansas didn’t help those matters on Saturday. The problem that the Tigers have in this one is that they are just tremendously overmatched. They aren’t going to lose by 31 like they did when these two teams met the first time around in Gainesville, but it probably isn’t going to be a pretty result. Florida shot 59.3% from the floor that day, held Missouri to just 32.7% from the field. The Gators won the rebounding battle 30-19. It had 13 more assists, and six more blocked shots. Missouri did force 16 turnovers, but it turned the ball over itself 21 times, and that just isn’t going to cut it. In the end, the hometown crowd should keep the Tigers in this one for a bit, but there is going to be a point where Florida just pulls away from an inferior club.

Florida vs. Missouri Pick: Florida Gators -4.5
Florida vs. Missouri Prediction: Florida 72 – Missouri 56

The Razorbacks and the Tigers are two of these teams that are going to need wins like this one to have a chance to get into the NCAA Tournament. The Hogs have already proven that they can beat the big time teams in the SEC here at home when they beat the Florida Gators up two weeks ago. The team has only been beaten once this year here at Bud Walton Arena. Missouri used its stifling defense to take care of the Mississippi State Bulldogs during the week, but this is a much different challenge. The team has won two games in a row though, and that could be what the Tigers need to get into the dance when push comes to shove. The key to this game is going to be the way that the Arkansas ball handlers end up dealing with the pressure that is given to them by the Missouri defense. Obviously, Mississippi State didn’t do it all that well, as it turned the ball over 15 times. The key number is 10. Keep it under 10, and Arkansas is going to win this game. We think that it is going to do just that and ultimately take care of the Tigers.

Missouri vs. Arkansas Pick: Arkansas Razorbacks +1
Missouri vs. Arkansas Prediction: Arkansas 74 – Missouri 70

College Basketball Picks: Missouri Tigers @ Texas A&M Aggies

If there were ever a road game that the Tigers were going to win, this should be the one. They’re used to going on the road to Reed Arena, having done so for years in the Big XII, and the game comes at a pivotal moment for the team. The ‘Zou has gone just 3-2 SU and 1-4 ATS in its last five games, and it is quickly falling down the NCAA Tournament rankings. A&M has been playing tough over the course of the last several games though, including losing at home in OT to the Kentucky Wildcats over the weekend. This is an A&M team that plays fantastic defense and could frustrate the heck out of the Tigers. Remember that Missouri has yet to win a road game this year, and it is 0-3 SU and ATS in conference play away from Columbia. It’s not like all of the games have come against remarkable teams either. Sure, the 83-52 loss at the Florida Gators was bad, but the LSU Tigers? Not so much. Go with the Aggies at home to continue Mizzou’s road struggles in the SEC on Thursday night.

Missouri vs. Texas A&M Pick: Texas A&M Aggies +3
Missouri vs. Texas A&M Prediction: Texas A&M 67 – Missouri 61

CappersInfo is back with its Alabama Crimson Tide vs. Missouri Tigers picks and predictions, as we look to give you all of the college basketball advice and tips that you need to beat your online sportsbook for this crucial Tuesday night tilt.

College Basketball Picks: Alabama Crimson Tide @ Missouri Tigers
Date: Tuesday, January 7th, 7:00 ET
Location: Mizzou Arena, Columbia, MO
Alabama vs. Missouri Live TV: ESPN

If the Crimson Tide are going to be able to stick around in this game, they’re going to have to do so with their defense. They’ll have to find a way to slow this game down just a bit, because they aren’t going to score more than the 65.5 points per game that they are averaging this year. Someone for Alabama is going to have to hit the glass as well. Missouri is the top rebounding team in America, though we really don’t think that there is a way that it is going to end up getting anywhere near the 46.7 rebounds per game that it has picked up thus far this year. G Trevor Releford has put up at least 17 points in three of his last four games, and he is up to 15.6 points per game for the season. G Levi Randolph is coming off of a 15-point game against the Oakland Golden Grizzlies as well. It just feels like the Tigers are overrated in this one, and the first SEC game of the season is going to be covered by the visitors from Tuscaloosa.

Alabama vs. Missouri Pick: Alabama Crimson Tide +10.5
Alabama vs. Missouri Prediction: Missouri 68 – Alabama 61

Free College Basketball Picks: Missouri Tigers @ UCLA Bruins

Missouri vs. UCLA Live TV: ESPN2

BetGuardian

The Bruins have won four in a row, while the Tigers have taken six straight coming into this game between a pair of teams that are hoping to go dancing this year. Head Coach Frank Haith has his Tigers flying all over the place this year, averaging 78.2 points per game. The real key though, has been on the glass for this club, as it is averaging 47.2 boards per game and is +19.4 rebounds per game over its foes. Both marks are No. 1 in the country. The addition of F Alex Oriakhi really has made the difference, as he is averaging 9.1 rebounds and 10.8 points per game. There are seven players averaging at least four rebounds per night as well. G Jabari Brown is back in the fold as well for the ‘Zou, and he is adding just another scoring threat to a team that is already sneakily good. UCLA is averaging 79.6 points per game this year though, and it has a team that can win this game outright. G Shabazz Muhammad has scored at least 21 points in three games in a row, while G Jordan Adams is averaging 18.2 points per game as well. G Larry Drew II is good for over eight assists per game to boot. This just feels like a UCLA team that is going to pull it together and pull off the upset as long as it doesn’t get crushed on the glass.

Missouri vs. UCLA Pick: UCLA Bruins
Missouri vs. UCLA Prediction: UCLA 82 – Missouri 75

Free College Basketball Picks: Missouri Tigers vs. Illinois Fighting Illini

The Illini are just 7-16 ATS in their last 23 games overall, and they are going to have their work cut out for them playing against the Tigers on Saturday. The ‘Zou has won three in a row in this series and has covered two of the three, and you can bet that it is going to want to keep that up this time around as well. Illinois is off to a 12-0 start to this season, but we just aren’t all that impressed. About the only win worth truly noting was the 85-74 victory up in the Kennel in Spokane against the Gonzaga Bulldogs. Granted, we know that Missouri really doesn’t have much in the way of quality victories either, but it has been more impressive in these blowout victories. G Phil Pressey, G Laurence Bowers, and F Alex Oriakhi make up a great group of players, and we think that that is better than anything that the Illini are going to bring to the table. This is a big time rivalry game where both of these clubs absolute hate each other, and in the end, we expect to see the Tigers come away with a fourth straight win over their foes from Champaign.

Missouri vs. Illinois Pick: Missouri Tigers
Missouri vs. Illinois Prediction: Missouri 76 – Illinois 71

College football betting fans are running to their online sportsbooks to place their Missouri Tigers vs. Texas A&M bets and predictions, and here at Cappers Info, we are making our Saturday football picks for this encounter.

Week 13 College Football Picks: Missouri Tigers @ Texas A&M Aggies
Date: Saturday, November 24th, 7:00 ET
Location: Kyle Field, College Station, TX
CFB Betting Odds: Texas A&M -22
Missouri vs. Texas A&M Live TV: ESPN2

QB Johnny Manziel isn’t coming out of this game until the brutal end in all likelihood, knowing that he has a Heisman Trophy to go out and win. We think that he is going to have a fantastic day both with his legs and with his arm against a Missouri defense that has allowed 79 points over the course of the last two weeks. That being said, the Aggies have allowed their share of points this year, and this could be another game where there are a few too many allowed. Remember that Missouri is playing for its bowl life in this game, and it needs an upset to be able to extend its season. We really don’t believe that the Tigers are going to pull off another upset in this series, though it does bare discussing that Head Coach Gary Pinkel has come to Kyle Field in back to back seasons when the two teams were in the Big XII and posted upset victories. For us, just keeping the Tigers inside of three TDs is good enough for us.

Missouri @ Texas A&M Pick: Missouri Tigers +22
Missouri @ Texas A&M Score Prediction: Texas A&M 49 – Missouri 28

Week 10 pointspreads are out, and here at Cappers Info, we are set to analyze the college football odds for one of the top games on the slate. The Missouri Tigers vs. Florida Gators odds are posted, and we are set to make our CFB picks for another great game.

Week 10 College Football Picks: Missouri Tigers @ Florida Gators
Date: Saturday, November 3rd, 12:00 ET
Location: Ben Hill Griffin Stadium, Gainesville, FL
CFB Betting Odds: Florida -17
Missouri vs. Florida Live TV: ESPN2

It feels like one of two things is going to happen in this game between the Gators and the Tigers. Either Florida is going to come out irate from losing to the Georgia Bulldogs last week without all that much offense and drop just a ton of points on the ‘Zou, or Head Coach Gary Pinkel is going to design some sort of a scheme to figure out how to get 20+ on the board against the Gators. If either of those things happen, this one should ultimately fly past the ‘total’, which has been set awfully low at just 42. QB Jeff Driskel has some talent, but he needs to figure out how to get the ball up the field, something that it hasn’t done all year long with its passing game. Meanwhile, QB James Franklin hopes to get back on the field full-time after basically just playing spot duty last week in a win against the Kentucky Wildcats, and that should only help matters out considering how inept the Mizzou offense has looked without him under center.

Missouri @ Florida Pick: Over 42
Missouri @ Florida Score Prediction: Florida 27 – Missouri 20
