Our New Jersey Devils at Philadelphia Flyers picks are hot from the presses, and here at Cappers Info, we’re presenting our NHL picks and predictions for what should be yet another great Thursday night fight.

Free NHL Picks: New Jersey Devils at Philadelphia Flyers
Date: Thursday, April 18th, 7:30 ET
Location: Wells Fargo Center, Philadelphia, PA
NHL Betting Odds: Flyers -130
Devils vs. Flyers NHL On TV: NBC Sports Network

NHL BookmakerThere really is just no way that we could reasonably back the Devils at this point in the season. This is a team that was deflated a few weeks ago when it was beaten in three straight games in either overtime or in shootouts, and it is clear that New Jersey just hasn’t been the same since. It has lost 10 straight games, and it has been beaten in regulation in six of those seven. The offense hasn’t scored a goal in nearly 121 minutes of game time and in spite of the fact that the defense has held its last three foes to a grand total of 42 shots on goal, it has been outscored 9-4 in that stretch. Philadelphia meanwhile, is over its four-game losing streak. Now, the team has won back to back games, and it is perhaps prepped for its one last push to see if it can get into the playoffs. It is probably going to take winning each of the final five games of the season to get the job done, and we think that this is one of those games where it reasonably could happen. The Flyers are definitively the better of these two teams as we see it, and we think that they are going to come out of this game with a comfortable victory to send the Devils reeling once again.

Devils vs. Flyers Pick: Philadelphia Flyers -130
Devils at Flyers Score Prediction: Philadelphia 4 – New Jersey 1

The New Jersey Devils and the Boston Bruins are going to square off on the NHL odds and betting lines on Wednesday. Join us here at Cappers Info, as we make our Bruins @ Devils picks & predictions for hockey for what should be a great game on Wednesday.

Free NHL Picks: Boston Bruins at New Jersey Devils

Location: Prudential Center, Newark, NJ
NHL Betting Odds: Boston -136
Bruins vs. Devils NHL On TV: NBC Sports Network

5DimesThe oddsmakers really have no choice but to make the ‘total’ of this game just five goals, but the truth of the matter is that that number is probably far too high for the way that these two teams are playing right now. New Jersey has lost seven games in a row, and it really hasn’t gotten anything out of its offense over the course of the last several games. The Devils have just four goals scored in their last four, and they are going to be running into one of the hottest goalies in hockey in G Tuukka Rask. Rask has a sub-2.00 GAA this year, making Bruins fans forget about the fact that G Tim Thomas basically abandoned the team in the offseason. Of course, the Boston offense has only averaged 2.7 goals per game this season as well, and the median score is only two goals for the team this year, and it’s a lot closer to one than it is three or more. We just don’t trust that the Bruins are going to be able to get the job done in this game and put a number of goals up on the board, and if that turns out to be the case, this should be one of the lower scoring games of the day on Wednesday on the ice.

Bruins vs. Devils Pick: Under 5
Bruins at Devils Score Prediction: Boston 2 – New Jersey 1 (OT)

The Buffalo Sabres and the New Jersey Devils are going to square off on the NHL odds and betting lines on Sunday. Join us here at Cappers Info, as we make our Devils @ Sabres picks & predictions for hockey for what should be a great game on Sunday.

Free NHL Picks: New Jersey Devils at Buffalo Sabres
Date: Sunday, April 7th, 7:30 ET
Location: First Niagara Center, Buffalo, NY
NHL Betting Odds: Buffalo -115
Devils vs. Sabres NHL On TV: NBC Sports Network

5DimesThe history of this series has been awfully close. The Sabres and the Devils have only met twice this season, and in both instances, the game went all the way to the shootout. The home team was able to win both games, but it certainly wasn’t without a fight on either side. Buffalo has captured a couple wins in a row, but that came on the heels of a four-game losing streak. New Jersey has been beaten in six consecutive games. One would think that the choice in this one is easy and that the Sabres are the club to back. We though, aren’t all that sure that’s the case. New Jersey has really been playing respectable defense, and G Martin Brodeur has been rock solid since coming back into the pipes off of his injury that cost him a month of the campaign. The problem has been the offense, which has just two goals in its last three games combined. The Devils though, have only lost by more than one goal one time during this six-game skid, and that came at home against the New York Islanders to start the month. It’s a chalky play, but we are going to back New Jersey and the puck line, knowing that this is probably a tossup game that has a decent chance of going into overtime.

Devils vs. Sabres Pick: New Jersey Devils +1.5
Devils at Sabres Score Prediction: New Jersey 3 – Buffalo 2 (OT)

5DimesLast year when the Devils and the Flyers took to the ice in the playoffs, we really thought that we were looking at two of the best teams in hockey, and certainly two of the best in the Eastern Conference. This season though, we aren’t so sure if we are even looking at two playoff teams (or even one playoff team). Both of these clubs have underachieved and have done so in tremendous fashion this year, and both just aren’t showing the ability to get the job done against some of the top teams in the game. One would like to think that laying the chalk with the Devils is a good idea, but we aren’t so sure that’s the case. They have won six in a row in this series, including the first two meetings here in 2013. However, with G Martin Brodeur out of the fold, the goaltending situation really is a mess for a team that has been brutal offensively for the most part. G Johan Hedberg is as suspect as it gets in the pipes. Though we aren’t big fans of G Ilya Bryzgalov, and we don’t think that the Flyers are one of the best 10 teams in hockey this year, we do think that they are the right side to play in this one, especially at + odds.

Flyers vs. Devils Pick: Philadelphia Flyers +116

The Stanley Cup Finals odds continue to be contested on Monday night, as the New Jersey Devils look to become the first team in Finals history to force a Game 7 after falling behind 3-0 in a series. Don’t miss out on our Stanley Cup picks for what should be a great game!

NHL Playoffs Matchup: #6 New Jersey Devils @ #8 Los Angeles Kings Game 6
Date: Monday, June 11th, 8:00 ET
NHL Playoffs Lines: Los Angeles -170

We got on the New Jersey bus back in Game 4, and it served us well, but we think that the time is here to hop off of that bus and back on with the Kings. Sure, there has to be a level of complacency out of the Kings at this point, knowing that this is the first time that they have ultimately been in the midst of a close series that has gone deep in, and Jonathan Quick is due to come up with one of those games that just makes you go, “Wow!” The net minder is clearly better at this point than Martin Brodeur is, and we really feel as though we have seen the best that New Jersey has to offer. When LA was at its best, we saw it pummel the Devils 4-0. When New Jersey was at its best, it was just barely living to tell about games. That’s just not good enough for us. It will be a fitting ending to the season on Monday night, where the Kings should hoist Lord Stanley’s Cup for the very first time.

The Stanley Cup Finals betting festivities continue on Saturday night in the Garden State, where the New Jersey Devils are going to hope to fend off elimination against the Los Angeles Kings. Don’t miss our NHL playoff picks for this incredible duel!

NHL Playoffs Matchup: #8 Los Angeles Kings @ #6 New Jersey Devils Game 5
Date: Saturday, June 9th, 8:00 ET
NHL Playoffs Lines: New Jersey -110

The Kings are a team that is 10-0 on the road this year in the playoffs. It is clearly the most remarkable run that we have ever see a team go on in the postseason, and that really goes without any shred of an argument. Many are thinking that the Devils can once again make this a series, and yes, if they play as well as they did at times in Game 3, especially in that third period, they are indeed going to end up forcing this series back to Tinseltown. That being said, we have seen this out of the Kings before. They won the first three games of all of the series that they played in these playoffs, yet they went just 1-3 in the Game 5s in those series. After all of the teams won Game 4 on the road, the NHL experts out there figured that the series was all of a sudden back in the balance. Not so much. Los Angeles has finished off every single series on the road in Game 5. This should be no exception. Back the Kings to lift Lord Stanley’s Cup for the first time on enemy ice in the Garden State on Saturday night.

Lord Stanley’s Cup could be handed out as early as Wednesday night in Tinseltown. Join us for our Stanley Cup picks in Game 4 when the Los Angeles Kings face the New Jersey Devils.

NHL Playoffs Matchup: #6 New Jersey Devils @ #8 Los Angeles Kings Game 4

We really have to go with our guts in this one. The Kings are clearly the better of these two teams, but we just don’t know if the Devils are going to give up on this series at this point. Martin Brodeur is a man that has a ton of pride, and he isn’t going to want to get swept out of the postseason in what might be his last shot at another Stanley Cup. Jonathan Quick has been out of this world, but there is a point that he just has to give up some goals. If Ilya Kovalchuk and his line mates can finally get something going, perhaps by breaking this lousy 0-for-12 streak on the power play for the series, maybe the Devils can swipe a game. We suggest waiting as long as you can to see how far LA backers will push this spread. We have already seen the price go from -160 to -200 on the Kings, and if it gets much further than that, it is just going to be impossible for us to avoid at least taking a shot on the visitors to send this series back to the Garden State.

Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Finals drops the puck on Monday night in Tinseltown, and here at Cappers Info, we are making our NHL free picks in the duel between the New Jersey Devils and the Los Angeles Kings.

NHL Playoffs Matchup: #6 New Jersey Devils @ #8 Los Angeles Kings Game 3
Date: Monday, June 3rd, 8:00 ET
NHL Playoffs Lines: Los Angeles -155

The poor Devils just don’t have it in them from the looks of it. They have been good enough to win both of the first two games of this series, but the truth of the matter is that they really haven’t looked like the team that should have won either game. The stars for the Kings are really shining right now, just as they have through the entire postseason. Jonathan Quick has allowed just two goals on 50 shots faced, and Jeff Carter and Anze Kopitar both have overtime winning goals. Drew Doughty has been all over the ice as well, and he is proving that he is one of the best defensemen that the league has to offer. In the end, we just don’t know if Martin Brodeur has this one in him or not. New Jersey has played just about as well as we think that it has the ability to play against LA, and now that it is on the road, we just don’t see it happening. The Kings are going to win the Stanley Cup and win it quite soon, perhaps even before going back to the Prudential Center.

The Los Angeles Kings have now strung together a record nine straight wins on the road in the playoffs in NHL betting action. Our Stanley Cup picks continue on Saturday night with what should be another great clash in this series when LA faces off against the New Jersey Devils in Game 2!

NHL Playoffs Matchup: #8 Los Angeles Kings @ #6 New Jersey Devils Game 2
Date: Saturday, June 2nd, 8:00 ET
NHL Playoffs Lines: New Jersey -110

Is there any team out there that can stop the Kings right now? It is truly remarkable what they have continued to do now that they have nine straight wins on the road in the playoffs against some of the best teams in the league. That being said, Game 1 was really the first time that there was a level of adversity that was clearly faced. New Jersey might have been the better team in the game for a few stretches of the night, and it showed. In fact, without a real moment of brilliance when Drew Doughty started a break that ended with Anze Kopitar beating Martin Brodeur in OT, who knows whether this series would be 1-0 in favor of the Kings or the Devils. We backed New Jersey the first time around, and we are going to do so again in Game 2. Remember that the New York Rangers shut out the Devils at Madison Square Garden in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals, and we really don’t see why this can’t happen again. The magical streak of perfection on the road is going to come to a close for the Kings on Saturday night.

The battles on the Stanley Cup Finals odds begin on Wednesday, May 30th at the Prudential Center. Join us for our 2012 Stanley Cup Playoff Picks for the Game 1 clash between the New Jersey Devils and the Los Angeles Kings.

NHL Playoffs Matchup: #8 Los Angeles Kings @ #6 New Jersey Devils Game 1

History would tell you that the Kings could be running into some problems here, especially with all of the time off that they just had to get ready for this game. LA has been one of the hottest teams that we have ever seen here in the NHL playoffs, winning 12 of the 14 games that it has been called upon to play thus far. Jonathan Quick has been a beast in the pipes, and the rest of the offense is picking it up as well. New Jersey has won three straight coming into this game, and for our money, it has played a heck of a lot more impressive hockey in tight spots than have the Kings. The Devils are clearly overmatched in terms of talent in net with Martin Brodeur, but we have to remember that the 40-year old has been here before, though the most recent time was a decade ago. In the end, we think that Zach Parise and the gang are going to be out for blood right at the outset of this series, and we think that the Devils are going to be able to draw first blood when push comes to shove.

The Stanley Cup Finals might be set on Friday night if the New Jersey Devils can beat the NHL odds against the New York Rangers in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Finals. Check out our NHL playoff picks to see whether this series is going to go back to the Big Apple or wrap up right here in the Garden State.

NHL Playoffs Matchup: #1 New York Rangers @ #6 New Jersey Devils Game 6
Date: Friday, May 25th, 8:00 ET
NHL Playoffs Lines: New Jersey -120

This has definitely been a frustrating series to try to handicap, knowing that these two teams are just so evenly matched. The Rangers look like they are on their heels at the moment, having allowed nine goals in the last two games after allowing just three goals in the first three. We just wonder whether luck has run out for this team. New York has survived its first three elimination games in the postseason, but we just don’t know if this is going to be a game in which the team gets the job done. The Devils are playing too well offensively, and it seems appropriate that the 40-year old Martin Brodeur will beat the Rangers in what might amount to be one of his last home games in his career to take the only club that he has ever known to the Stanley Cup Finals. Home ice advantage hasn’t meant much in this series, but we do think that it is going to make the difference on Friday night in what should be the closeout game.

Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Finals drops the puck on Wednesday night at Madison Square Garden, where we are set to make out New Jersey Devils vs. New York Rangers Game 5 NHL picks. Join us for all of our NHL predictions for the playoffs!

NHL Playoffs Matchup: #6 New Jersey Devils @ #1 New York Rangers Game 5
Date: Wednesday, May 23rd, 8:00 ET
NHL Playoffs Lines: New York -130

The question is set to arise as to which one of these Atlantic Division teams really is better. We have to admit that this has been a confusing series. Just by looking at box scores, it appears as though the Rangers have had all of the advantages through the first three games of this series. They had a pair of 3-0 shutouts in Games 1 and 3. However, they were really only the better team for perhaps a total of about 50 minutes or so in those two games, and aside from that, this had been a level series. But then New Jersey came back and ran all over the Rangers in Game 4. Our conclusion? We still think that New York has the slightly better side, and in the end, that home ice advantage is going to make the difference in what should be a chippy game on Wednesday night that is not to be missed.

NHL Playoffs Free Pick: New York Rangers -130
