As the 2011 NFL betting campaign is about to get underway, we here at Cappers Info are getting set to break down the teams that we think have the best chances of getting into the postseason! Check out our NFL odds to make the playoffs in 2011!

San Diego Chargers Not To Make AFC Playoffs (+210 @ 5Dimes Sportsbook) – The Bolts are overhyped as could be this season, and we definitely think that, at best, they only have a 50/50 shot of making the AFC playoffs. First off, we know that between the runners up in the other three divisions, the AFC West’s chances of getting a Wild Card team are next to nil. On top of that, we just don’t buy into the hype for this squad beyond QB Philip Rivers, WR Vincent Jackson, and TE Antonio Gates. The rest of the squad is just average at best. This is an up and coming division in the AFC West, and basically taking the field at +210 is a fantastic price.

New York Jets To Not Make AFC Playoffs (+140 @ 5Dimes Sportsbook) – Are the Jets really a better team than they were a year ago? No? Funny, because we think that the Patriots, Texans, Steelers, and Ravens are all better than they are. QB Mark Sanchez is only going to be able to take this team so far before it folds, and New York is playing a significantly tougher schedule this year than it was in 2010. Just getting into the playoffs would be a triumph, and we definitely see a situation in which this team won’t be a part of the field even though it has played in back to back AFC Championship Games.

New England Patriots To Make AFC Playoffs (-380 @ 5Dimes Sportsbook) – Chalky, sure. However, with the rest of the challengers in the AFC East taking a step backwards, where else could we possibly go than with the Pats? QB Tom Brady looks like he has a nice backup plan now with QB Ryan Mallett, and there are definitely enough talented pieces of this puzzle to make sure that even a Brady injury won’t keep this team from winning 10 or 11 games. Head Coach Bill Belichick once again has a dangerous team with the ability to win 13 or 14 games in the regular season. This is a slam dunk for the Pats to get into the postseason.

Atlanta Falcons To Make NFC Playoffs (-190 @ 5Dimes Sportsbook) – We just don’t see the Falcons taking a step backwards from last year. The Bucs aren’t going to be as good as they were a season ago, and the Panthers are still horrible, and even if New Orleans does win the division, there really should be enough wins here to make sure that Atlanta gets into the second season. QB Matt Ryan has a fantastic looking offense on paper, and playing in the Georgia Dome is just hell on earth for the opposition. Nothing will stop the red and black from getting back into the playoffs this year.

New York Giants To Not Get In NFC Playoffs (-135 @ 5Dimes Sportsbook) – It seems like a slam dunk that the Eagles are going to win the NFC East, and it also seems like a sure thing that the NFC South is going to send two teams to the playoffs. That really leaves just one spot for the G-Men to take, and we don’t think that they are going to be the ones that snare that spot. Dallas should be an improved team this season (though we don’t think the -105 price is justifiable to take for it to get into the second season necessarily), and Chicago, Minnesota, and Detroit all think that they can get into the playoffs as well. Don’t forget about the Bucs either. Losing DB Prince Amukamara in the preseason to an ankle injury will kill New York. QB Eli Manning and the gang certainly don’t have a great chance of getting into the playoffs this year.
