March Madness free picks are one of our top specialties this time of year here at Cappers Info, and we have another great one on the NCAA Tournament schedule on Friday night. The #12 Oregon Ducks and the #1 Louisville Cardinals will meet in the Sweet 16 in the Midwest Region, and we’re breaking down the NCAA basketball betting lines for the clash.

Midwest Region Picks: #12 Oregon Ducks vs. #1 Louisville Cardinals
Date: Friday, March 29th, 7:15 p.m. ET
Midwest Region Location: Lucas Oil Stadium, Indianapolis, IN
Oregon vs. Louisville Live on TV: CBS

Sweet 16 Betting Lines
#12 Oregon Ducks +10
#1 Louisville Cardinals -10
Over/Under 127

The Sweet 16 is going to continue on Friday, and the top seeded Cardinals are heavy favorites of the oddsmakers in this one. The Cards have really stormed right through their first two games without all that much in the way of difficult, as they took down both the North Carolina A&T Aggies and the Colorado State Rams with ease, covering both games. The team now has nine straight covers under its belt. G Russ Smith has been the “good” Russ Smith, as he has a pair of 20+ point games here in the dance as well. However, we know that he could be under the gun in this one, as this is the toughest game that the team has played since being at Madison Square Garden for the Big East Tournament. What’s amazing to us about Oregon’s improbable run to the Sweet 16 is that G Dominic Artis has had two miserable games. Artis though, is going to have almost a full week to rest and prepare for this one, and he is going to be needed against a great Louisville backcourt. The talent though, is most certainly there for the Ducks to pull off this upset. They are going to have to get a great game from F EJ Singler and from F Damyean Dotson, both of which have had great tournaments to date. We don’t think that the U of O is going to really be able to pull off the upset, but we do think that it is going to be able to hang around. This should be the first gritty game that Louisville has had to play here in this tournament.

March Madness free picks are one of our top specialties this time of year here at Cappers Info, and we have another great one on the NCAA Tournament schedule on Saturday night. The #12 Oregon Ducks and the #4 Saint Louis Billikens will meet in the Round of 32 in the Midwest Region, and we’re breaking down the NCAA basketball betting lines for the clash.

Midwest Region Picks: #12 Oregon Ducks vs. #4 Saint Louis Billikens
Date: Saturday, March 23rd, 7:10 ET
Midwest Region Location: HP Pavilion, San Jose, CA
Oregon vs. Saint Louis Live on TV: TBS

Round of 32 Betting Lines
#12 Oregon Ducks +3.5
#4 Saint Louis Billikens -3.5
Over/Under 123.5

The one thing that we most certainly got right at the outset of this tournament is just how underrated the Pac-12 truly was. All three teams that played out of this conference on Thursday picked up victories, and many of them were convincing wins over foes that were assumed to take them down. The Ducks were the most impressive of the bunch, as they knocked off the Oklahoma State Cowboys as two-point underdogs by 13 points. This is going to be a much different challenge against the Billikens though, as the A-10 reps play some of the stoutest defense that you’ll see in this tournament. With G Dominic Artis still definitively not at 100%, it’s going to be tough to generate a ton of offense in this game. However, most don’t realize just how well the Ducks have played on the defensive end of the court themselves of late. Yes, they allowed 77 to the Washington Huskies in the quarterfinals of the Pac-12 Tournament, but since that point, three teams that showed the ability to have big time offenses this year averaged just 56.3 points per game against the Quack Attack, and the Pokes looked absolutely lost at times on Thursday. This could turn into a really ugly game, and though that might seemingly favor the Billikens on the exterior, we think that the guard play for the Ducks is ultimately going to be what shines. Take the points and go for the upset on Saturday.

Oregon vs. Oklahoma State Live on TV: TNT

BetOnline

Round of 64 Betting Lines
#12 Oregon Ducks +3
#5 Oklahoma State Cowboys -3
Over/Under 135

The Ducks and the Cowboys are two very dangerous teams here in the Midwest Region, and neither can be overly happy about seeing the other on their bracket on the first full day of the tournament. We really liked this Oregon team up to the point that it lost G Dominic Artis to an ankle injury. He is back in the fold, but he clearly isn’t the same to the point that Head Coach Dana Altman hasn’t even been using him in the most vital of situations that the Ducks have found themselves in. That’s really bad news for the U of O for sure. The Pokes came through a nasty Big XII this year to be on the No. 5 line, probably just a tad high for what they deserved. Still, this is a lineup that is just chock full of guards and little guys, and this is how you pull off big wins in the dance. G Marcus Smart and G Markel Brown are set to blast off and become superstars at the collegiate ranks as we see it, and we think that this is just the first in a number of steps that will be taken in their careers for the Cowboys. In the end, the offense for Oklahoma State is just too good. Oregon has been far too inconsistent against generally lesser teams in the Pac-12 for us to want to back it in this matchup.

Oregon vs. Oklahoma State Free Pick: Oklahoma State -3
Oregon vs. Oklahoma State Predictions: Oklahoma State 72 – Oregon 61

Pac-12 Tournament Final Picks: Oregon Ducks vs. UCLA Bruins
Date: Saturday, March 16th, 11:00 ET
Location: MGM Grand Arena, Las Vegas, NV
Oregon vs. UCLA Live TV: ESPN

BetGuardian

The Pac-12 Tournament has been intense, as there have been a few wild overtime games and some great finishes to see. Unfortunately, we really don’t think that the final is going to be a game for the ages. The Ducks have made a nice little run here over the course of the last few days, but we just don’t see how beating the Washington Huskies and the Utah Utes has prepared them for playing in this game. They have gotten by in spite of the fact that they really haven’t gotten all that much out of their starting point guard, G Dominic Artis, and they haven’t played a game against a team of this quality in quite some time. UCLA meanwhile, is battle-tested, having knocked the Arizona State Sun Devils off of the bubble and the Arizona Wildcats out in the semifinals. G Shabazz Muhammad and the gang are having a great tournament offensively, and all of a sudden, UCLA is ranked 28th in the land in total offense at 74.9 points per game. This is a team that we are building an affinity for, and we think that not only are the Bruins going to win this game, but we think that this could be the beginning of a nice run in the dance as well.

Pac-12 Tournament Semifinals Picks: Utah Utes vs. Oregon Ducks
Date: Friday, March 15th, 11:30 ET
Location: MGM Grand Arena, Las Vegas, NV
Utah vs. Oregon Live TV: ESPN

BetGuardian

The Pac-12 Tournament has been full of surprises and near surprises over the course of the first two days, and that could continue on Friday night. The Ducks really looked great at times against the Washington Huskies, though it was all of the very iffy times that almost got them sent home from Vegas early and forced them to overtime. F EJ Singler looked great. The rest of the team? Very inconsistent. G Dominic Artis was back in the starting lineup on Friday night, but he wasn’t on the court in clutch time, which makes us wonder whether he has aggravated his previous injury. Utah has been a stingy team for the mass majority of the season, and for proof of that, this is a 20-8 ATS team over the course of its last 28 games. Not only has Utah pulled off back to back upsets here in the Pac-12 Tournament, beating the USC Trojans and the Cal Golden Bears in overtime, but it won its last two regular season games against the Oregon State Beavers and these Ducks as well. Be very careful, Oregon. The Utes are a legitimate contender to take down the Pac-12 title and to steal a bid from an unsuspecting bubble team that thinks the worst is over with.

Utah vs. Oregon Pick: Utah Utes
Pac-12 Tournament Semifinals Predictions: Utah 64 – Oregon 61

The Coors Events Center is going to be rocking on Thursday night, as the fans there know that a win in this game will certainly punch their ticket to the NCAA Tournament. The Buffaloes are an up and down team, and it wouldn’t truly be shocking if they won this game by 30 or lost it by 30. These last four games have been scary, as the team is 2-2 SU and 1-3 ATS in those outings, but history is definitely on Colorado’s side in these big time games. Not only do the Buffs have wins over the Arizona Wildcats at home and these Ducks on the road, but they also have a scalp against the Colorado State Rams and had Arizona dead to rights on the road to boot. Oregon hasn’t nearly been the same team since G Dominic Artis got hurt over a month ago. Granted, he is back in the fold, and the team has won five of six games, but there really haven’t been any big time games that the Ducks have had to win. The last three have all come at home, and the only win of the bunch of any legitimate note came against the Stanford Cardinal, a team that isn’t going to get into the NCAA Tournament. Colorado isn’t the better team in this game, but home court advantage, as always, is key in conference play. Back the Buffs in what should be a great game on Thursday night.

Oregon vs. Colorado Pick: Colorado Buffaloes -3
Oregon vs. Colorado Prediction: Colorado 69 – Oregon 63

College Basketball Picks: Oregon Ducks @ Washington Huskies
Date: Wednesday, February 13th, 11:00 ET
Location: Alaska Airlines Arena, Seattle, WA
Oregon vs. Washington Live TV: ESPN2

GT Bets Banner

This is an ugly game to try to handicap on the college basketball lines. The Ducks have failed to cover six games in a row, and they have totally lost their offensive ways. Washington was just beaten up by a bad USC Trojans team, and it now knows that it is probably going to have to win out in the regular season to go into the Pac-12 Tournament with a realistic chance of dancing this year. Both of these teams know that they can score some points, and that was evident when there were 157 put up when these two met the first time. However, the Ducks are averaging just 56.5 points per game in their last four, and they just aren’t quite the same team with G Dominic Artis battling a foot injury. That really limits this rotation for sure, and it is showing on the court and on the scoreboard. Washington’s offense really isn’t all that stellar if G CJ Wilcox isn’t putting up huge numbers. Wilcox scored just eight against the Trojans, and as a result, the team only put up 60 points. The oddsmakers are going to make the mistake of looking at recent history in this series, and that’s not indicative of the low scoring battle that we figure will ensue here in Seattle on Wednesday night.

Oregon vs. Washington Pick: Under 138

If Oregon is going to prove to be a legit team that can make the NCAA Tournament and make some noise after getting there, this is the type of game that it is going to have to win. We know that emotions are going to be quite high at Oregon’s goofy court, and we know that Matthew Tucker Arena is going to be rocking. The team concept that the Ducks have put together is terrific, and the stats for the top six or seven players on this squad are as good as the stats that you’ll see out of any team in America. But is this really a battle tested squad yet? Thus far, the Ducks really haven’t played much, and the toughest game that they faced this year was against the Cincinnati Bearcats, a game that was lost by 11 points. Arizona hasn’t played the best ball of late, and many think that it is going to get picked off as a result. We just don’t see it happening more often than not, though. Remember that this team has already gone on the road and beaten the Clemson Tigers, and has crushed the likes of the San Diego State Aztecs, Miami Hurricanes, and Florida Gators. There isn’t much in the way of commonality of these opponents, but the one game of note is the one against the UTEP Miners. UTEP was beaten by 11 at Arizona. It beat Oregon at home. This just doesn’t look good for the Ducks. They’ll play well, but more often than not, they’re going to get beaten, likely by a late Arizona surge to stretch the game out just a bit.

Arizona vs. Oregon Pick: Arizona Wildcats pk
Arizona vs. Oregon Prediction: Arizona 78 – Oregon 70

January 3rd, 2013 By Jack Wilshire

I’ve been studying the ‘total’ for the Fiesta Bowl odds for quite some time, and I’m ready to make my Fiesta Bowl picks for the clash between the Kansas State Wildcats and the Oregon Ducks. The Oregon vs. Kansas State kickoff is set for 8:30 p.m. ET at University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, AZ, and I’m going to show you which way to bet on college football to make your CFB pick on for this great game.

2013 Fiesta Bowl
Oregon Ducks (11-1, 7-5 ATS) -8
Kansas State Wildcats (11-1, 9-2-1 ATS) +8
Over/Under 73.5

The ‘total’ in the Fiesta Bowl has come down just a bit over the course of the last few weeks, and I wish that I had gotten in on this one prior to the drop. Every single year, I see the Ducks have these ‘totals’ in the 60s and the 70s, and almost every year, I seem to be disappointed. Last year in the Rose Bowl, there were 83 points, but the year before in the BCS Championship Game was 41 points, and the Rose Bowl in 2009 featured just 43 points. The difference this year is that there is a team on the other side of the field that is known for its offense with a Heisman Trophy finalist at quarterback and not teams like Auburn and Ohio State that were just as known for their defense as anything else.

Of course, I think the real key to this game is going to be the Kansas State defense. This unit really isn’t all that bad. The Cats allowed just 119.2 rushing yards and 21.1 points per game this year, and if you don’t believe just how good this team can be defensively, ask the Oklahoma Sooners (19 points), West Virginia Mountaineers (14 points), Texas Tech Red Raiders (24), TCU Horned Frogs (10), and Texas Longhorns (24). That doesn’t mean that the Ducks are going to be stuck in the 20s, but the truth of the matter is that even in the low 30s, this is still likely to be an ‘under’ game.

Get A 100% Sportsbook Bonus @ JustBet Sportsbook!

I’ll also admit that I’m a bit wary over the idea that the Ducks scored at least 42 points in all but one game that they played this year. However, with a month and a half off since their last game played and all of the distraction with Head Coach Chip Kelly and the NFL teams that are interviewing him, but I really don’t think that that is helping put points on the board. I think that the defense is going to come up with a decent effort from the Ducks, knowing that this unit has been underrated for most of the year. I just don’t think that this one is going to get to such a big time number.

The Oregon Ducks and the Kansas State Wildcats are going to square off on the Fiesta Bowl odds and betting lines. Join us here at Cappers Info, as we make our Fiesta Bowl picks & predictions for football for what should be a great game on Thursday.

Fiesta Bowl Picks: Oregon Ducks vs. Kansas State Wildcats
Date: Thursday, January 3rd, 8:30 ET
Location: University of Phoenix Stadium, Glendale, AZ
Fiesta Bowl Betting Odds: Oregon -8
Oregon vs. Kansas State Live TV: ESPN

The Ducks and Wildcats were both in the driver’s seat just a few weeks ago to play in the BCS National Championship Game. Both of them choked though, losing to the Stanford Cardinal and Baylor Bears respectively within a matter of minutes, and now, both are relegated to the Fiesta Bowl. With rumors of Head Coach Bill Snyder retiring at the end of the game and Head Coach Chip Kelly going to the NFL within the next few days or weeks, there is the real question of motivation on both of these sides. That could make this a very suspect game to try to handicap for sure. Generally speaking, the rule of thumb is that you take the points in this situation, and that’s precisely what we’re going to do.

Bovada Sportsbook

There’s also the matter of the quarterback situation for both of these teams. QB Marcus Mariota was fantastic this year, but he is still a freshman, and one that played really poorly at the end of the year against the best teams in the land. When you really look back at what Oregon played this year, it only faced one Top 10 foe (Stanford), and the rest of the teams in the Pac-12 more or less tapered out at the end of the campaign. Mariota has some great stats, and he might evolve into a quarterback that can lead a team to the National Championship one day, and he very well could ultimately win this game. However, we really think that we would rather have QB Collin Klein, a Heisman Trophy finalist on our side in this one. The senior did everything for his team this year, and even in that loss to Baylor, it was really the defense that cost the team in its one loss this year. Klein went into Norman and pulled off the upset, and he has taken down a number of big time foes in his career. He definitely won’t be afraid in this one.

That’s why we think that Kansas State is the right side in this game. We tend to think that the Cats are winning outright, but if they don’t, we still have a healthy touchdown and more on our side. If Kansas State can figure out how to slow down this rushing attack with RB Kenjon Barner and WR De’Anthony Thomas just a bit, the Cats are going to be in fantastic shape. Remember that Kansas State ranked 17th in the country in rush defense at 119.2 rushing yards per game. That’s more than good enough for us.

Oregon vs. Kansas State Pick: Kansas State Wildcats +8
Fiesta Bowl Score Prediction: Kansas State 31 – Oregon 21

The 2012 college football season is back, and here at Cappers Info, we’ll be looking at some of the best games on the docket each and every week, as we try to make the most money possible off of the CFB odds for the week. Join us on Saturday night, as we make our Stanford Cardinal @ Oregon Ducks free picks and predictions for what should be a great clash on the gridiron.

Week 12 College Football Picks: Stanford Cardinal @ Oregon Ducks
Date: Saturday, November 17th, 8:00 ET
Location: Autzen Stadium, Eugene, OR
CFB Betting Odds: Oregon -20.5
Stanford @ Oregon Live TV: ABC

One of the best offenses that the country has to offer is going to take on arguably the best defense in the Pac-12, and the results should be interesting, to say the least. No one is really giving the Cardinal a chance to win this game, unlike what was the case last weekend in Tuscaloosa with the Texas A&M Aggies going against the Alabama Crimson Tide, but we think that there is a real chance that this game is closer than the college football expert picks suggest. QB Kevin Hogan is almost certainly the better of the two quarterbacks that Head Coach David Shaw could deploy, and RB Stepfan Taylor still could go off for a huge game at a moment’s notice. The Cardinal are legitimate, and they have almost every bit as much motivation right now as the Ducks do, as their BCS hopes probably rest in the wings as well. Even a solid loss might still draw the attention of the Rose Bowl should Oregon move onto the BCS National Championship Game, and we think that that is going to be the way that this plays out for the time being. Take the points.

Stanford @ Oregon Pick: Stanford +20.5
Stanford @ Oregon Score Prediction: Oregon 31 – Stanford 27

Week 11 pointspreads are out, and here at Cappers Info, we are set to analyze the college football odds for one of the top games on the slate. The Oregon Ducks vs. California Golden Bears odds are posted, and we are set to make our CFB picks for another great game.

Week 11 College Football Picks: Oregon Ducks @ California Golden Bears
Date: Saturday, November 10th, 10:30 ET
Location: AT&T Park, San Francisco, CA
CFB Betting Odds: Oregon -28
Oregon vs. California Live TV: ESPN

This is just a butt ugly game for the Golden Bears, who are clearly going to be rocked by a healthy margin. However, are the Ducks going to win it by more than four touchdowns? That’s a tough task on the road in a conference game against a team that literally has nothing to play for but this game. This is the home finale for the Bears, and it is likely to be the last home game for Head Coach Jeff Tedford as well. This Cal team has some talent, and it should be a whole heck of a lot better than a disappointing 3-7. Remember that Oregon has had a history of going long periods of time without scoring offensively, and it just looks disinterested against the suspect teams on the slate. This just feels like one of these games where the Quack Attack jumps out to a 21-0 lead but takes their foot off of the gas pedal, ultimately to win by just about this same 21 points.

Oregon @ California Pick: California Golden Bears +28
Oregon @ California Score Prediction: Oregon 41 – California 20
