The Cleveland Browns and the Pittsburgh Steelers are going to square off in Week 17 of the NFL betting campaign. Join us here at Cappers Info, as we make our predictions for football for what should be a great game on Sunday.

Week 17 NFL Picks: Cleveland Browns @ Pittsburgh Steelers
Date: Sunday, December 30th, 1:00 ET
Location: Heinz Field, Pittsburgh, PA
Week 17 Betting Odds: Pittsburgh -7
Browns vs. Steelers Live TV: CBS

This is a ludicrous point spread, to say the least. The Steelers are only favored by a touchdown under the premise that they have given up on the season, while the Browns are still fighting their hearts out to impress new ownership for the 2013 campaign. Pittsburgh though, has a massive score to settle, and QB Ben Roethlisberger is going to want to go out this year with a bang, not a dud. Big Ben threw the game-clinching picks both in Week 15 and in Week 16, and those two losses proved to be the team’s undoing for the playoffs. It’s not so much that the Steelers have the desire to finish at .500 that makes us think that this game is going to be a blowout. It’s that they turned the ball over eight times against the Browns in a 20-14 loss at the Dawg Pound. If Cleveland can only win by six points in a game in which it was at home against a third string quarterback in QB Charlie Batch, is there any way that it is going to be able to come on the road with a third string quarterback of its own in QB Thaddeus Lewis and get the job done in the Steel City against a ticked off Pittsburgh outfit? We think not!

Browns @ Steelers Pick: Pittsburgh Steelers -7
Browns @ Steelers Score Prediction: Pittsburgh 34 – Cleveland 6

The 2012 NFL season is back, and here at Cappers Info, we’ll be looking at some of the best games on the docket each and every week, as we try to make the most money possible off of the NFL odds for the week. Join us on Sunday, as we make our Cincinnati Bengals @ Pittsburgh Steelers free picks and predictions for what should be a great clash on the gridiron.

Week 16 NFL Picks: Cincinnati Bengals @ Pittsburgh Steelers
Date: Sunday, December 23rd, 1:00 ET
Location: Heinz Field, Pittsburgh, PA
NFL Betting Odds: Pittsburgh -3.5
Bengals vs. Steelers On TV: CBS

It’s been a tumultuous season for the Steelers and the Bengals, as they have both been all over the place, winning games that they seemingly had no business winning and losing games that they seemingly had no business losing. That’s why it makes perfect sense to us that, without any real explanation, that the Bengals would be able to come to Heinz Field and lock up a playoff bid. Cincinnati truthfully has been the better of these two teams of late, winning five out of six games both SU and ATS. The Steelers have dropped four out of five SU and ATS, including losing a pair of games in conference here at Heinz Field. The team just isn’t the same that it used to be, and the oddsmakers are banking on these Steelers being the same ones that won and covered five in a row in this series dating back a couple of years. Unfortunately for the hosts, they just aren’t that good any longer, and it is going to show in the form of an upset to end their season on Sunday.

The Pittsburgh Steelers and the Dallas Cowboys are going to square off in Week 15 of the NFL betting campaign. Join us here at Cappers Info, as we make our predictions for football for what should be a great game on Sunday.

Week 15 NFL Picks: Pittsburgh Steelers @ Dallas Cowboys
Date: Sunday, December 16th, 4:25 ET
Location: Dallas Cowboys Stadium, Arlington, TX
Week 15 Betting Odds: Pittsburgh -2
Steelers vs. Cowboys Live TV: CBS

This is the most important game of the year for both of these teams to date. The good news for the Steelers is that losing this game isn’t the end of the world, but it does make next week’s game against the Bengals one that absolutely has to be won. Dallas though, is going to be in a heck of a lot of trouble when push comes to shove if it falls short in this one. The Cowboys are a game back of what amounts to be three teams, at least one of which they need to catch, and they have to watch out for the Washington Redskins who are level with them, and others as well. Unfortunately for Dallas, this is a big time game, and QB Tony Romo doesn’t win the big time games when push comes to shove. Pittsburgh is coming off of a brutal loss to the San Diego Chargers last week, and it is going to come out swinging in this one. Don’t be shocked if the hometown crowd is booing the Cowboys off of the field on Sunday afternoon.

Steelers @ Cowboys Pick: Dallas Cowboys -1.5
Steelers @ Cowboys Score Prediction: Pittsburgh 26 – Dallas 14

Week 13 pointspreads are out, and here at Cappers Info, we are set to analyze the NFL odds for one of the top games on the slate. The Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Baltimore Ravens odds are posted, and we are set to make our NFL picks for another great game.

Week 13 NFL Picks: Pittsburgh Steelers @ Baltimore Ravens
Date: Sunday, December 2nd, 4:25 ET
Location: M&T Bank Stadium, Baltimore, MD
Week 13 Betting Odds: Baltimore -7.5
Pittsburgh vs. Baltimore Live TV: CBS

It seems like an easy bet to back the Ravens lay 7.5 at home in this one, but we’re just not that sure that that should be the case when push comes to shove. Pittsburgh was a disaster last week against the Cleveland Browns, but the fact of the matter is that it was in the game in spite of the fact that the squad turned the ball over eight times and got absolutely nothing from QB Charlie Batch. We know that it really isn’t all that likely that Batch is going to ever throw for 300 yards or three TDs in a game, but he can make some plays, as we also saw last week when he was able to get a couple balls up to WR Emmanuel Sanders. The offensive line is getting healthier, and the Steelers aren’t going to turn the ball over this many times. They aren’t going to win this game, as the Ravens will find some way that, when push comes to shove, will prove victorious, but giving 7.5 in this game is ridiculous. Seven of the last eight have been decided by a touchdown or less.

Steelers @ Ravens Pick: Pittsburgh Steelers +7.5
Steelers @ Ravens Score Prediction: Baltimore 21 – Pittsburgh 14

BovadaThe Pittsburgh Steelers and the Cleveland Browns are set to kick off their Week 12 NFL betting clash on Sunday 11/25, and I’m set to make my football pick for the affair at Cleveland Browns Stadium. Kickoff is set for 1:00 ET, and I’ve got the perfect NFL pick for this outstanding duel on the gridiron.

Pittsburgh Steelers (6-4, 4-5-1 ATS) pk
Cleveland Browns (2-8, 5-4-1 ATS) pk
Over/Under 34

Holy teasers, Batman! Every now and again, the oddsmakers get a line that is just so right that I just have to tease the whole game and hope that they got this one right. Knowing that I can get seven on both sides of this one and a total going between 27 and 41 is just insane, but it becomes all the more crazy, knowing that I can get 7.5 on my teasers at -135.

The matchup here in this game is simple: The Browns don’t have a ton of offense and shouldn’t be able to get all that much going against the Steelers. Pittsburgh is going to have no choice but to run the ball as well, though QB Charlie Batch will make his share of plays to boot.

The last two in this series have both stayed insanely low scoring, knowing that the average number of points per game has been just 20.5. However, this is clearly, clearly a spot where there should be more than that. Batch will hit a home run at some point. RB Trent Richardson will find the end zone. So will a Pittsburgh running back. And a couple field goals will take care of it from there from my standpoint. Very, very few NFL games ultimately don’t get into the high-20s, and this should be no exception. Look for a 17-14 or 20-17 type of final score to give me the cash. I’m going to round robin all of these together as well, but here’s the basis of the play:

Steelers @ Browns Tips: Four-Team Teaser (+200) – Cleveland +7.5 w/ Pittsburgh +7.5 w/ Over 26.5 w/ Under 41.5

Week 12 pointspreads are out, and here at Cappers Info, we are set to analyze the NFL odds for one of the top games on the slate. The Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Cleveland Browns odds are posted, and we are set to make our NFL picks for another great game.

Week 12 NFL Picks: Pittsburgh Steelers @ Cleveland Browns
Date: Sunday, November 25th, 1:00 ET
Location: Cleveland Browns Stadium, Cleveland, OH
Week 12 Betting Odds: Pittsburgh -1
Pittsburgh vs. Cleveland Live TV: CBS

We have a heck of a lot more confidence in QB Charlie Batch leading the Pittsburgh effort than we did with QB Byron Leftwich. Batch is a seasoned veteran, and he knows what it’s going to take to come on the road and win a game like this one. We know that he isn’t going to be able to do this every single week, but he has the goods on the ground at this point to manage the game properly. Batch will only be asked to throw the ball 25 times in this one, and the defense and the ground game will be expected to do the rest. Cleveland is a solid team that is a heck of a lot better than a 2-8 record suggests, but the oddsmakers have caught onto this. The Browns will at least keep this one close for some time, and they very well could win it, but we think that the percentage play lies on the relatively public Steelers to walk out of the Dawg Pound with a ‘W’ when push comes to shove.

Steelers @ Browns Pick: Pittsburgh Steelers -1
Steelers @ Browns Score Prediction: Pittsburgh 19 – Cleveland 17

5Dimes SportsbookOne of my favorite plays on the Monday NFL odds pits the Pittsburgh Steelers against the Kansas City Chiefs. These two are going to be meeting at 8:30 p.m. ET at Heinz Field, and I’m going to show you which side to make your NFL pick on for this great game.

Kansas City Chiefs (1-7, 2-6 ATS) +12.5
Pittsburgh Steelers (6-2, 5-3 ATS) -12.5
Over/Under 41

Just as Sunday Night Football is going to be a wreck from the standpoint of Mother Nature, Monday Night Football will as well. The weather forecast is calling for a heck of a lot of rain as the day progresses in the Steel City, and that means bad news for ‘over’ bettors for sure.

Regardless of the weather, I really like the ‘under’ in this game regardless. These two teams combined to play to just 22 points last year at Arrowhead Stadium, and the Chiefs have an offense that really doesn’t suggest that there is going to be much in the way of scoring in this one. The team hasn’t scored more than 16 in a game in each of the last three weeks, and even if KC did put 16 on the board, it would still require Pittsburgh getting to 26 to beat me, something that I don’t necessarily see happening.

The Steelers too, are playing better defense at the moment. They have allowed just a total of 49 points in the last three games, but a lot of those scores have come from the offense or special teams, along with a few strokes of bad luck. The truth of the matter is that the hometown crowd is probably going to make sure that the Chiefs aren’t going to get much on the board at all, and we would be surprised to see them get beyond 10 points in this one. This should be the fourth straight ‘under’ game for the Steelers.

Chiefs @ Steelers Tips: Under 41

Week 10 NFL Picks: Kansas City Chiefs @ Pittsburgh Steelers
Date: Monday, November 12th, 8:30 ET
Location: Heinz Field, Pittsburgh, PA
NFL Betting Odds: Pittsburgh -12.5
Chiefs vs. Steelers On TV: ESPN

Over 70% of the betting public is on the Steelers, and we really don’t need to do any more work on this game really aside from look at the obvious to tell us which way we need to play this game. Pittsburgh is obviously one of the most public teams in the league, and it is the most public game of the week on Monday Night Football. Online sportsbooks always love it when the favorite fails to cover, and it is going to take just a huge effort for the Steelers to beat this number. This is a big, big line, and if the Chiefs can score even two touchdowns, it’s going to be tough to see Pittsburgh get the job done. Remember that the weather is going to be terrible on Monday night in the Steel City, and though QB Ben Roethlisberger is used to playing in this type of weather, it is still not all that likely that he is going to be able to get more than perhaps three TDs on the board. The Steelers tend to screw the pooch in one game like this one every single year, and though we’re not all that sure that this is that game, we don’t see them winning this one by much more than a score. The fair line in this game is almost certainly -10 or so.

Kansas City Chiefs @ Pittsburgh Steelers Pick: Kansas City Chiefs +12.5
Kansas City Chiefs @ Pittsburgh Steelers Score Prediction: Pittsburgh 19 – Kansas City 10

Week 9 NFL Picks: Pittsburgh Steelers @ New York Giants
Date: Sunday, November 4th, 4:25 ET
Location: MetLife Stadium, East Rutherford, NJ
NFL Betting Odds: New York -3
Steelers vs. Giants On TV: CBS

The Steelers and the Giants are two of the perennially successful franchises in the league over the course of the last several years, and this should be a great game. The oddsmakers are more or less insinuating that Pittsburgh and New York are on the same page with one another, giving the G-Men the edge just by the factor of home field advantage. However, we think that the Steelers are really the better of these two when push comes to shove. The Giants have won four in a row and covered three of the four, but we have a real concern right now with how they are winning games. They were a Dez Bryant fingertip away from losing to the Cowboys last week, and the argument could be made that they weren’t necessarily the better team against the Redskins the week before either. New York was outgained by 228 combined yards in those two efforts. Meanwhile, the Steelers feel like they have turned a bit of a corner with wins in consecutive games both SU and ATS, and that’s a big factor for us going forward. Take the points in this one and expect to see an upset when push comes to shove.

Pittsburgh Steelers @ New York Giants Pick: Pittsburgh Steelers +3
Pittsburgh Steelers @ New York Giants Score Prediction: Pittsburgh 24 – New York 20

Week 8 NFL Picks: Washington Redskins @ Pittsburgh Steelers
Date: Sunday, October 28th, 1:00 ET
Location: Heinz Field, Pittsburgh, PA
NFL Betting Odds: Pittsburgh -4.5
Redskins @ Steelers On TV: FOX

Running the football might be key in this game if Mother Nature ends up playing tricks on the Steelers, but in the event that Hurricane Sandy stays away, the secondary for the Skins is going to be in a heck of a lot of trouble. It could be a big, big day for QB Ben Roethlisberger, who has played in all sorts of poor weather conditions before. Either way, this just doesn’t feel like a great matchup for QB Robert Griffin III, though he did a great job last week against the New York Giants getting away from pressure from some of the best pass rushers in football. This series has been all Pittsburgh over the course of the last four years, as the men in black and gold have scored four straight victories, the last three of which have come by at least nine points. That’s more than enough this time around for us, and we think that that is just about what is going to happen on Sunday afternoon.

Redskins @ Steelers Pick: Pittsburgh Steelers -4.5

Week 7 NFL Picks: Pittsburgh Steelers @ Cincinnati Bengals

NFL Betting Odds: Pittsburgh -1
Steelers @ Bengals On TV: NBC

Joe Public loves betting on the Steelers, and there is some good justification for that fact this week, knowing that Pittsburgh has won and covered four straight and eight out of 10 in this series. However, we have to look beyond all of that and realize that this is a game that the Bengals are winning more often than not. The ground game for the Steelers only finally started to work when RB Rashard Mendenhall came back into the fold. He’s out again, as is the man that was replacing him, RB Isaac Redman. C Maurkice Pouncey has a leg injury that will almost surely keep him out, and T Marcus Gilbert will sit as well. That’s doesn’t even include the fact that S Troy Polamalu is going to sit to boot. That’s just far too many Steelers that are out of the lineup in this one for a game that, even when the team is fully healthy, it probably shouldn’t be favored to win all that often.

Steelers @ Bengals Pick: Cincinnati Bengals +1
Steelers @ Bengals Score Prediction: Cincinnati 20 – Pittsburgh 14
