We’re coming off of a split of CFL betting action of the year, which moves us to 36-36 ATS on the season. We try to finish off the season with a winning record and on a high note with our CFL picks for the 99th Grey Cup!

99th Grey Cup: Winnipeg Blue Bombers vs. British Columbia Lions Picks
CFL Odds: BC -7
CFL Lines: Over/Under 50.5

The last time that a host team won the Grey Cup was way back in 1994. That day, right here in this building, the Lions trumped the Baltimore Stallions (who became the Montreal Alouettes shortly thereafter). Now, BC has a chance to repeat its feat in a season in which its home was finished being remodeled into the quintessential location for Canadian football. However, it would be an apropos ending of the year as well to see QB Buck Pierce coming into BC Place, a stadium which he called home at the start of his CFL career, and walk out as a champion. That being said, we just don’t buy into anything that the Bombers have done down the stretch of the season. Sure, they were able to sweep the season series against the Leos, but those were their only two wins against teams from the West Division. The East was dreadful this year, and that’s where Winnipeg made its living. In the end, QB Travis Lulay will become a bona fide star once and for all at BC Place, and he will lead his team to a Grey Cup triumph that looked so unlikely just three months ago when he had his team off to a 1-6 start to the season. Free CFL Picks: BC -7

We’re coming off of perfect week of CFL betting action of the year, which moves us to 35-35 ATS on the season. This week presents yet another opportunity to inch our way above the .500 mark this year. Join us for our CFL playoff picks!

Hamilton Tiger-Cats @ Winnipeg Blue Bombers Picks
CFL Odds: Winnipeg -3
CFL Lines: Over/Under 51

This isn’t exactly the ideal East Division Final, as it just seems odd that the Montreal Alouettes aren’t involved. These two teams have had a bad stretches of this season, and both certainly have their weaknesses. QB Buck Pierce still might not play in this one after suffering a poor untimely injury with two weeks left in the season. Hamilton was able to pull off the big upset last week at Olympic Stadium by winning a tremendously thrilling overtime game. However, we just don’t think that the Ti-Cats have the intensity to get back on the horse in this one. This is the final game in the history of Canad Inns Stadium, as Winnipeg will move into its new stadium next week. Even if it is QB Alex Brink calling the shots, this just seems to be a team that is touched at this point, and it should be able to do find its way into the Grey Cup with a big win over a Hamilton team that has high hopes, but low expectations. Free CFL Picks: Winnipeg -3

Edmonton Eskimos @ BC Lions Picks
CFL Odds: BC -6
CFL Lines: Over/Under 49.5

Playing against the Lions right now seems to be a terrible decision, but it is still something that we are willing to undertake on Sunday afternoon. The Leos are the hottest team in the league, and perhaps they will be hurt by the bye week last week. QB Ricky Ray had a great game in the first round of the playoffs against the Calgary Stampeders to set this game up, and we tend to think that he might have another one in him. The Esks don’t have to win this one to make us victors on Sunday, but we think that there is an upset on deck. The Lions are going to have their hands full as the team to beat, especially with the Grey Come playing right here at BC Place. Vancouver has been disappointed in the past with the Canucks, and their Lions might be the next team to be a problem. Free CFL Picks: Edmonton +6

We’re coming off of another average week of CFL betting action of the year, which moves us to 33-35 ATS on the season. This week presents yet another opportunity to inch our way back towards the .500 mark this year. Join us for our CFL playoff picks!

Hamilton Tiger-Cats @ Montreal Alouettes Picks
CFL Odds: Montreal -5.5
CFL Lines: Over/Under 55.5

The Alouettes and the Tiger-Cats have played some interesting games over the course of this season, and for the most part, it has been one-way traffic in favor of the Ti-Cats. For whatever reason, QB Anthony Calvillo and company just haven’t been able to put games away down the stretch this year, and the Als are coming into this one on a three game skid, any of which could have earned them a first round bye in the playoffs. Hamilton didn’t even finish .500 this year, but it really tanked it at the end of the regular season when things didn’t mean a whole heck of a lot. We wouldn’t be surprised if the underdogs come on the road and take care of business to move on to the East Division Final next week against the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. We certainly want the points on our side. Free CFL Picks: Hamilton +5.5

Calgary Stampeders @ Edmonton Eskimos Picks
CFL Odds: Edmonton -2
CFL Lines: Over/Under 51.5

Unlike in the East, where seemingly everyone limped into the playoffs, in the West, virtually everyone was playing well at the end of the campaign. We just aren’t so sure that QB Drew Tate is ready for this one. He has taken over at the helm for the Stamps in place of the veteran QB Henry Burris, a man who has had a heck of a lot of playoff success in his career. Meanwhile, QB Ricky Ray has had his success as well, and in a season in which the Eskies were supposed to fold, he was the one who really kept the club together. The Battle of Alberta was won by Edmonton this year, and that’s why this game is being played at the newly remodeled Commonwealth Stadium. The stadium will officially be christened in the biggest way, by winning a playoff game against the hated Stamps to end their season. Free CFL Picks: Edmonton -2

We’re coming off of another average week of CFL betting action of the year, which moves us to 31-33 ATS on the season. This week presents yet another opportunity to inch our way back towards the .500 mark this year. Join us for our Week 18 CFL picks!

Toronto Argonauts @ Winnipeg Blue Bombers Picks
Week 18 CFL Odds: Winnipeg -8
CFL Week 18 Lines: Over/Under 49

We’ve been riding the Boatmen Bandwagon for a few weeks now, and we aren’t going to get off now either. A few weeks ago, Winnipeg knocked off Montreal to take a big, big lead in the East Division. It had a shot to really put this division away, but it failed against this very same Toronto team. Granted, that game was on the road. This game is at home. A win and a Montreal loss would win the East Division, but anything less than that is going to make this last week of the season very, very tense for the Bombers. Toronto is just playing out the string, but we still think that it will be able to at least stick inside of this number, if not pulling off the outright upset. Free CFL Picks: Toronto +8

Hamilton Tiger-Cats @ Saskatchewan Roughriders Picks
Week 18 CFL Odds: Hamilton -6
CFL Week 18 Lines: Over/Under 50

The Roughriders are playing their last game of the year at Mosaic Stadium, and for the most part, the fans in green are happy that they don’t have to labor through too much more of this ridiculously underachieving team. Hamilton just doesn’t have anything to play for this week though, and it proved its point last week beating up on the Lions at home in a game that had no consequence either. Don’t be shocked if the hosts come away with a solid victory to cap off their home schedule Free CFL Picks: Saskatchewan +6

Edmonton Eskimos @ BC Lions Picks
Week 18 CFL Odds: BC -5
CFL Week 18 Lines: Over/Under 50

This is a big, big game for both of these teams, as the loser is almost certain to have to play in the first round of the playoffs in two weeks’ time. There is still going to likely be plenty to work out when this is said and done, but if the Eskies can go on the road and win this game, the road to the Grey Cup is going to go through Commonwealth Stadium and not BC Place. Calgary is rooting for a BC win, which could setup a three way tie going into the last week of the season, but in all likelihood, especially after getting raked last week at Hamilton, the Leos are going to do everything that they can to make sure that they stay as the top team in the West. Free CFL Picks: BC -5

Calgary Stampeders @ Montreal Alouettes Picks
Week 18 CFL Odds: Montreal -5
CFL Week 18 Lines: Over/Under 56

All year long, we were waiting for these two teams to kick it into gear, take control of their respective divisions, and move along to a meeting in the Grey Cup. However, the loser is going to be in a lot of trouble to say the least. Montreal needs a combination of three wins and Winnipeg losses in the next two weeks to survive to win the East Division in the regular season, or else the Als will have to play at home against Hamilton in the first round of the playoffs, then have to visit Ivor Wynne Stadium in what will be the stadium’s last game ever. If Calgary wins, it still has a shot of hosting the West Division Final, but in all likelihood, a loss ensures that it will finish in third in the division and have to go on the road not just once, but twice before heading into BC Place for the Grey Cup. This is too much for the Alouettes to pass up on, as they at least have to give themselves a shot going into that last week of the year. Free CFL Picks: Montreal -5

We’re coming off of our first perfect week of CFL betting action of the year, which moves us back to 29-31 ATS on the season. This week presents yet another opportunity to inch our way back towards the .500 mark this year. Join us for our Week 17 CFL picks!

Edmonton Eskimos @ Toronto Argonauts Picks
Week 17 CFL Odds: Edmonton -3
CFL Week 17 Lines: Over/Under 48

Many CFL betting pundits think that the Eskies are the best team in the league right now. To that, we scoff, as we think at best, they’re No. 3, and probably more like No. 5. QB Ricky Ray and his offense just haven’t looked the greatest in the world over the past two months, and as a result, some of its results have been questionable at best. Toronto’s season is over, but it is enjoying playing the role of the underdog. It nearly upset Montreal on the road two weeks ago, and it did get the job done against Calgary last week. Don’t be surprised if this is another upset. Free CFL Picks: Toronto +3

Saskatchewan Roughriders @ Calgary Stampeders Picks
Week 17 CFL Odds: Calgary -10.5
CFL Week 17 Lines: Over/Under 51

Another week, and no more touchdowns for the Roughriders. It’s truly amazing how bad they have been offensively, as they have basically had a wall erected at the enemy’s 20 yard line or so that they just have not been able to penetrate. Now, Calgary is back at home off of that bad loss against the Argonauts last week, and if there is any hope of getting a home game in the West Division playoffs, this is a game that QB Henry Burris and company have to win, and have to win in a big, big way. Free CFL Picks: Calgary -10.5

Montreal Alouettes @ Winnipeg Blue Bombers Picks
Week 17 CFL Odds: Montreal -1.5
CFL Week 17 Lines: Over/Under 52.5

We’ve been saying for weeks that the winner of this game was likely going to end up winning the East Division crown, and we’re sticking by that assessment. The Alouettes can actually wrap it up with a win on Saturday, as they would hold a two game lead and the tiebreaker with two games to go in the regular season. Winnipeg probably needs to win out to get the job done. The hosts have a bigger problem though, as the Tiger-Cats are nipping at their heels for the No. 2 spot in the East playoffs. Montreal already has its home game wrapped up. The Blue Bombers don’t. These two teams have played a pair of classic games that came down to the wire in the past month. Don’t be surprised if this one fits the bill as well. In the end, home field advantage and that narrow point spread on our side cannot be passed up on. Free CFL Picks: Winnipeg +1.5

BC Lions @ Hamilton Tiger-Cats Picks
Week 17 CFL Odds: BC -1.5
CFL Week 17 Lines: Over/Under 53.5

Okay, so let’s get this straight. Hamilton has a cloudy, at best quarterback situation, and it used both guys against Montreal in last week’s loss on the road. If Winnipeg beats Montreal earlier in the day, there will literally be nothing for the Tabbies to play for in these last three weeks of the regular season, as they will be going on the road against either Montreal or Winnipeg in the first round of the CFL playoffs regardless. BC is still playing for home field advantage in the West Division, has won eight straight games, and has a quarterback that is one pass away from 4,000 yards on the season. And you’re going to tell me that the Lions are only favored by a point and a half in this game? Free CFL Picks: BC -1.5

We’re hanging right there at 25-31 ATS on the season after a rough 1-3 ATS week in which we took some tough beats, and this week presents yet another opportunity to inch our way back towards the .500 mark this year. Join us for our Week 16 CFL picks!

Calgary Stampeders @ Toronto Argonauts Picks
Week 16 CFL Odds: Calgary -6
CFL Week 16 Lines: Over/Under 52.5

Odds have it, the Argos have to stick in front of some number at some point over the course of the rest of the season… right? They looked stingy last week against the Alouettes on Thanksgiving Day for the better part of three quarters before finally succumbing. This week though, we tend to see some more fight in them. Calgary has been a great road team this year, and it’s true that this is as important of a game for it as it has had all season long. That being said, we just don’t like the feel of this team right now, especially defensively, as the Stamps have allowed a whopping 27.2 points per game this season, which is very unlike a Head Coach John Hufnagel squad. Free CFL Picks: Toronto +6

Winnipeg Blue Bombers @ Edmonton Eskimos Picks
Week 16 CFL Odds: Edmonton -2.5
CFL Week 16 Lines: Over/Under 49

For the most part, this game has been accepted as a duel between two teams that are going to the playoffs on nothing but smoke and mirrors. These two teams are only combining to score 48.5 points per game between them, something that you don’t expect to see of clubs that could be winning their divisions in the regular season. Both have had their struggles in the single digits this year as well. The Bombers have a lot to look forward to next week in the clash against Montreal that will likely decide who will get home field advantage in the East Division playoffs, and we tend to think that this long road trip is going to end in disaster. Take the Eskies at home and lay the short 2.5 points. Free CFL Picks: Edmonton -2.5

Hamilton Tiger-Cats @ Montreal Alouettes Picks
Week 16 CFL Odds: Montreal -6.5
CFL Week 16 Lines: Over/Under 56

Hamilton is the only respectable team in the CFL that hasn’t clinched a postseason bid yet this year, but it can get the job done with a win and some help on Sunday. More importantly, a victory could possibly draw the Tabbies within a game of both the Blue Bombers and the Alouettes for the top spot in the East Division. Home field advantage isn’t out of the question. A loss in this one though, and the only thing that the black and gold will have left to play for is some conditioning for the playoffs (assuming that Saskatchewan doesn’t go on some insane run of games). Montreal’s eyes will be glued to next week’s big one with Winnipeg, but it won’t overlook this game, especially not after getting smacked hard on the road by these Ti-Cats in both games at Ivor Wynne Stadium this year. Free CFL Picks: Montreal -6.5

BC Lions @ Saskatchewan Roughriders Picks
Week 16 CFL Odds: BC -7.5
CFL Week 16 Lines: Over/Under 48

We’d love to keeping taking Saskatchewan, as we feel that this team is still more talented than most of the clubs that are going to be in the playoffs this year. However, it’s becoming painstakingly obvious that the men in green have tanked on the season. The team hasn’t found the end zone on offense in three and a half games, and in the last three weeks, there are only a total of nine points on the board. Who would have ever thought that this team would be scoring fewer than 20 points per game?!?!? Now, BC comes to town full of sound and fury with its seven game winning streak and its No. 1 defense at 21.7 points per game. As much as we hate to admit it, we have to lay the points. Free CFL Picks: BC -7.5

We’re hanging right there at 24-28 ATS on the season after a rough 1-3 ATS week in which we took some tough beats, and this week presents yet another opportunity to inch our way back towards the .500 mark this year. Join us for our Week 15 CFL picks!

Winnipeg Blue Bombers @ Hamilton Tiger-Cats Picks
Week 15 CFL Odds: Hamilton -4
CFL Week 15 Lines: Over/Under 53

The running game for the Bombers doesn’t look all that great right now, and that is going to put a heck of a lot of pressure on QB Buck Pierce to come back from an injury to move the football through the air. RB Fred Reid did everything for Winnipeg, and he will surely be missed. That being said, Hamilton is playing good ball right now, while the Blue Bombers just aren’t in fantastic form. At Ivor Wynne Stadium, the Tabbies are historically a great team. This is as good as a playoff game right now, as both of these teams have a shot at being the top seed in the East Division playoffs. We love the hosts in this situation. Free CFL Picks: Hamilton -4

Calgary Stampeders @ BC Lions Picks
Week 15 CFL Odds: BC -4
CFL Week 15 Lines: Over/Under 52.5

Again, this is another game that is going to play a heck of a lot like a playoff game. The Lions are right in the thick of things in the West Division after winning six straight games, and now, an underachieving bunch of Stamps are coming into the newly reopened BC Place. Playing in the dome is significantly different for the hosts, but in this one, we aren’t so sure that the winning streak is going to continue. Calgary has been solid this year on the road. In fact, it has been a significantly better team away than at home for whatever reason. QB Henry Burris and the crew might get the job done for the upset at BC Place. Free CFL Picks: Calgary +4

Toronto Argonauts @ Montreal Alouettes Picks
Week 15 CFL Odds: Montreal -13
CFL Week 15 Lines: Over/Under 54

Toronto is the first team that really has no chance of getting into the postseason, and it will likely become official either this week or next week. The Alouettes are still shooting for the top seed in the East Division, but it is going to require a lot of wins down the stretch to get the job done. The Boatmen just don’t stand a chance in this one at Percival Molson Stadium as long as Montreal shows up, and the hosts know that they can’t take their foot off of the gas pedal. QB Anthony Calvillo will become the first 4,000 yard passer of the year at some point in the first half in all likelihood, and this game will end up being a brutal beating. Free CFL Picks: Montreal -13

Saskatchewan Roughriders @ Edmonton Eskimos Picks
Week 15 CFL Odds: Edmonton -6
CFL Week 15 Lines: Over/Under 51

Saskatchewan has two games left against Edmonton, and it likely has to win both games just to have a shot of getting into the playoffs. The Riders haven’t had much to cheer about in these last two weeks, both of which have resulted in 30+ point losses in which the offense has failed to reach the end zone. QB Darian Durant knows that he has to win this game, or his time as a starting quarterback in this league might be done. Edmonton hasn’t done anything special to make us think that it can cover a TD in a game. Free CFL Picks: Saskatchewan +6

We’re hanging right there at 23-25 ATS on the season after a respectable 3-1 ATS week, and this week presents yet another opportunity to inch our way back towards the .500 mark this year. Join us for our Week 14 CFL picks!

Montreal Alouettes @ Winnipeg Blue Bombers Picks
Week 14 CFL Odds: Montreal -6.5
CFL Week 14 Lines: Over/Under 49.5

Is the second time the charm for the Alouettes? There are still two games left between Montreal and Winnipeg, and it is clear that the Als have to win both of these games to make sure that they are going to be in front in the East Division when it’s all said and done. A split for the Blue Bombers would be fantastic, but after losing last week to lowly Toronto, we definitely have some questions to ask of this side. The Alouettes look sharp, and though QB Anthony Calvillo took a nasty shot in last week’s win at Edmonton, he’s good to go. QB Buck Pierce… not so much… He’s out of this one, as is RB Fred Reid, who tore his ACL. Free CFL Picks: Montreal -7

Edmonton Eskimos @ BC Lions Picks
Week 14 CFL Odds: BC -5.5
CFL Week 14 Lines: Over/Under 49

This is the very first game that will be played at the remodeled BC Place, and it should be a good one for the hosts. Simply put, there’s no way that we are getting in front of the Leos who, in spite of a 6-6 record, are now the favorite to win the Grey Cup. Don’t be shocked if this is the last time that we can say that QB Travis Lulay and company are sitting right near the cutoff for the playoffs. Edmonton, after getting clocked at home by Montreal last week, stands very little chance of hopping provinces and beating the Lions. Free CFL Picks: BC -5.5

Saskatchewan Roughriders @ Calgary Stampeders Picks
Week 14 CFL Odds: Calgary -5.5
CFL Week 14 Lines: Over/Under 55.5

The Roughriders are out of free passes. At 4-8, they probably have to win five of their last six games just to get into the playoffs this year, and the truth of the matter is that they might have to win out depending on how close the rest of the league ends up staying and how many games the Argonauts really end up losing. A loss parlayed with BC and Hamilton wins leaves Saskatchewan three games outside of the playoffs with just five to play, a mountain that will not be climbable. Calgary isn’t playing all that well and is vastly underachieving at 7-5, and we wouldn’t be surprised, especially with just a 2-4 record here at McMahon Stadium, if the Stamps end up getting stomped once again. Free CFL Picks: Saskatchewan +5.5

Hamilton Tiger-Cats @ Toronto Argonauts Picks
Week 14 CFL Odds: Hamilton -4
CFL Week 14 Lines: Over/Under 54

Here’s the exact same situation for the Argos… They’re three games back with six to play, and they have to have this one and some help to feel like they still really have a postseason opportunity. That being said, this was a club that was good enough to beat Winnipeg at home last week, and even though the Bombers were beaten up, they’re probably still a better team than Hamilton. The Tabbies have put up some ugly, ugly results on the road this year, and we’re a bit surprised in the Battle of Ontario, that the spread is this high. Free CFL Picks: Toronto +4

We’re hanging right there at 20-24 ATS on the season after a respectable 2-2 ATS week, and this week presents yet another opportunity to inch our way back towards the .500 mark this year. Join us for our Week 13 CFL picks!

Montreal Alouettes @ Edmonton Eskimos Picks
Week 13 CFL Odds: Montreal -1.5
CFL Week 13 Lines: Over/Under 54

This is a dangerous spot for the Alouettes, as they could lose this game and suddenly be in a position where they might have to go on the road, or potentially even face the wrath of missing the playoffs if the Riders and Lions continue to get their acts together. Still, even with last week’s surprising loss to Winnipeg, we still think that this is the best team in the East Division, and we tend to think that it will show again this week on the road at Edmonton. Commonwealth Stadium has been a tough place to play this year, but we know that that Eskies just looked like second class citizens when these two played at Percival Molson Stadium two months ago, and not that much has changed since that point. Free CFL Picks: Montreal -1.5

BC Lions @ Saskatchewan Roughriders Picks
Week 13 CFL Odds: Saskatchewan -1.5
CFL Week 13 Lines: Over/Under 50

The battle between the two hottest teams in the league right now… The Riders and Lions have combined for seven straight wins SU and ATS, but they are both still fighting for their playoff lives right now. This one means more to Saskatchewan, knowing that it is a home game and knowing that the likelihood is there that a loss could leave it two games outside of the playoffs with just six games to go, certainly not a position that it wants to be it. QB Darian Durant is playing significantly better ball under Head Coach Ken Miller than he did under Head Coach Greg Marshall before the bye week, and that’ll be the difference this week for sure. BC will make it close, especially after winning last week in Calgary, but this one will prove to be just a hair too much. Free CFL Picks: Saskatchewan -1.5

Winnipeg Blue Bombers @ Toronto Argonauts Picks
Week 13 CFL Odds: Winnipeg -3
CFL Week 13 Lines: Over/Under 48.5

The season is probably effectively over right now for the Boatmen, but if there is one last charge to be made, this is it. QB Steven Jyles at least looks somewhat more comfortable now than he did two weeks ago, and in fairness to him, Toronto has played a horrifying schedule, and most of the teams that it is going against have suddenly caught some fire. Now, Winnipeg comes to town, fresh off of that win at Montreal last week to take a two game lead in the East Division. It’s a vintage sandwich game, though, as the Alouettes are on deck. The Bombers have to be thinking that this is an easy win this week, and if Montreal loses this week, the opportunity is there to basically lock up the East Division next week. Not so fast, Bombers. You have a lot of work to do in this one first. Don’t be surprised if a Toronto team that is just dying for the taste of victory again, pulls off the upset in this fishy looking game. Free CFL Picks: Toronto +3

Calgary Stampeders @ Hamilton Tiger-Cats Picks
Week 13 CFL Odds: Hamilton pk
CFL Week 13 Lines: Over/Under 54

The Stampeders are clearly the better of these two teams, and they have played significantly better ball on the road than they have at home this year for whatever reason, but they haven’t made the trip East to face the Tabbies yet. Hamilton is a significantly better home team than road team, and four of its five wins have come right here at Ivor Wynne Stadium. This is probably a make or break week for QB Kevin Glenn, who has QB Quinton Porter breathing down his neck for the starting signal caller job. He’ll get back on his feet this wee though, and lead the Ti-Cats to a big time win to get back to .500 over a suddenly questionable look Calgary team that has underachieved all season long. We’re down to 18-22 ATS on the season after a solid 3-1 ATS week, and this week presents yet another opportunity to inch our way back towards the .500 mark this year. Join us for our Week 12 CFL picks!

Edmonton Eskimos @ Hamilton Tiger-Cats Picks
Week 12 CFL Odds: Hamilton -5
CFL Week 12 Lines: Over/Under 50.5

The Tabbies are coming off of a disastrous game last week against Montreal, and we can’t say that we didn’t see that coming after they blew out the Alouettes in Week 10. This week presents a much more solid matchup between two teams that are likely going to be stuck playing in first round postseason games. Hamilton is just a different team at home than on the road, as Ivor Wynne Stadium has been a house of horrors for some of the best teams in the league. Though the Eskies are on the right track, they’re going to be in for a rude awakening when they head to Hamilton on Friday night. Free CFL Picks: Hamilton -5

Toronto Argonauts @ Saskatchewan Roughriders Picks
Week 12 CFL Odds: Saskatchewan -7.5
CFL Week 12 Lines: Over/Under 51

We’ve been burned by the Argonauts for two straight weeks, and we’ve had enough of it. Saskatchewan is playing some of the best ball right now in the league, and the CFL lines are still just off base entirely. If this game were even two more weeks down the road, the Roughriders would likely be double digit favorites. With WR Andy Fantuz coming back into the fold, QB Darian Durant’s numbers should be getting better and better. Toronto’s offense with second week starting QB Steven Jyles just won’t be able to keep up with this unit on the road at Mosaic Stadium in all likelihood. Free CFL Picks: Saskatchewan -7.5

BC Lions @ Calgary Stampeders Picks
Week 12 CFL Odds: Calgary -4.5
CFL Week 12 Lines: Over/Under 50.5

The BC/Calgary series has been an odd one because it has been dominated by the road team in recent history. Though the Stamps are clearly the best team in the West, we’re not so sure that it’s by that big of a margin. QB Henry Burris and company really should be playing better ball than this against some of the lesser teams in the league. The Leos are kicking it into gear right now, and with Saskatchewan hot on their tails, they really need to pick up some wins in games like this to level the playing field in what could become a crowded West Division. We don’t know if there will be an upset at McMahon Stadium on Saturday night, but we know that we want the points on our side in what should be a very close game. Free CFL Picks: BC +4.5

Winnipeg Blue Bombers @ Montreal Alouettes Picks
Week 12 CFL Odds: Montreal -8
CFL Week 12 Lines: Over/Under 52.5

Kiss your lead in the East Division goodbye once and for all, Winnipeg. The Bombers have three game to play against Montreal still, and one would figure that whichever team can win two of the three is going to be the one that wins this division. The Alouettes have murdered people at home this year, and quite simply, whether it’s QB Buck Pierce or QB Alex Brink, we just don’t see the Blue Bombers moving the football enough to keep up with the high flying Alouettes. Montreal should drop at least 30 in this game, and that should be enough to prevail. Free CFL Picks: Montreal -8

We’re down to 15-21 ATS on the season after a bad 1-3 ATS week, but we think that we have a good idea of what we’re looking at now that these teams are all facing one another again for a second straight week. Join us for our Week 11 CFL picks!
Calgary Stampeders @ Edmonton Eskimos Picks
Week 11 CFL Odds: Calgary -3
CFL Week 11 Lines: Over/Under 51.5

Payback, anyone? The Stampeders were absolutely laughed off of their home field in Week 11, getting stomped on Labour Day by these Eskies 35-7 in a game that really no one saw coming. The struggle for this offense was immense, and we couldn’t believe it ourselves. That being said, Edmonton really played a great game. The likelihood of two in a row isn’t all that great. This was a squad that was picked to miss the playoffs this season, and though that won’t be the case, we definitely don’t see the Eskimos sticking around to win the regular season West Division title. That’ll still be a crown that belongs to Calgary, and the Stamps will prove it by rebounding in the second version of the Battle of Alberta in as many weeks. Free CFL Picks: Calgary -3

Toronto Argonauts @ BC Lions Picks
Week 11 CFL Odds: BC -8
CFL Week 11 Lines: Over/Under 49

The Lions might have dismantled the Boatmen last week at Rogers Centre, but the trip across the country to get back to Vancouver has changed these two teams. BC should have back RB Jamel Robertson to bolster the running game, but the most important change comes at quarterback for Toronto. The Argos have cut QB Cleo Lemon after he was yanked at halftime of last week’s loss, and he will be replaced by QB Steven Jyles. Jyles was on the nine game injured list after offseason shoulder surgery, and now, he is going to be thrown right into the mix on just a week and a half of practice and no live game time to take on the Lions. Still, this is a nice spot for Jyles to be in, as there isn’t much time for the Leos to prepare for a totally different game plan that will come their way. Don’t be shocked if there is an upset in the cards on Saturday. Free CFL Picks: Toronto +8

Hamilton Tiger-Cats @ Montreal Alouettes Picks
Week 11 CFL Odds: Montreal -5
CFL Week 11 Lines: Over/Under 57

We backed Montreal last week to no avail, and we are going to go back to the well again this week. The problems that the Alouettes have had this year have mostly come on the road, though there is one unsightly home loss to the Saskatchewan Roughriders in the mix. QB Anthony Calvillo got hurt in that game though, and aside from that, this has been a dominating team at Percival Molson Stadium. Sure, Hamilton has won three in a row in this series, but the last four have all been played at Ivor Wynne Stadium. It’s payback time in Quebec this weekend. Free CFL Picks: Montreal -5

Saskatchewan Roughriders @ Winnipeg Blue Bombers Picks
Week 11 CFL Odds: Winnipeg -5.5
CFL Week 11 Lines: Over/Under 47.5

This is probably the most intriguing game on the slate this week due to the fact that we aren’t so sure who the better team in the game is. Sure, Saskatchewan is 2-7 and Winnipeg is 7-2, but that doesn’t necessarily mean anything. Neither team is as good (or bad) as their record suggests. The Riders really dominated this game last week, winning 27-7, and they kept the Blue Bombers out of the end zone the entire night. Will that be the case again? It might be. QB Buck Pierce’s numbers are slipping just a bit, and he just doesn’t have the weapons to take advantage of a sometimes suspect Saskatchewan secondary (say THAT four times fast!). That being said, QB Darian Durant is on the upswing right now, and he should really do a number again on Head Coach Paul LaPolice’s defense. Free CFL Picks: Saskatchewan +5.5

It was a rough week last week in the CFL, getting knocked off by the hook in one game and by just a matter of a few yards in the other. We dropped to 14-18 ATS on the season after the rough week, but we’re back at it in an effort to get back to the .500 mark this week in CFL betting action!
BC Lions @ Toronto Argonauts Picks
Week 10 CFL Odds: BC -1.5
CFL Week 10 Lines: Over/Under 51

It’s hard to say that a pair of 2-6 teams are playing well right now, but relatively speaking, we have no troubles with that with Toronto and BC. The Lions have won two out of three, and QB Travis Lulay definitely has appeared to be picking things up this year, but in the end, we just aren’t sure that the Lions have the better of these two teams, let alone having the better team flying clear across Canada. Toronto’s QB Cleo Lemon has controlled his temperament to throw ridiculous INTs, and he is completing a high percentage of his passes. Don’t be shocked if he pulls off the mild upset on Friday. Free CFL Picks: Toronto -1.5

Winnipeg Blue Bombers @ Saskatchewan Roughriders Picks
Week 10 CFL Odds: Winnipeg -3
CFL Week 10 Lines: Over/Under 49.5

Can you say, “overinflated?” Sure, Saskatchewan has been a train wreck all season long and Winnipeg has been a heck of a lot better team. The Blue Bombers have to come back to earth just like the Eskimos did at some point, right? And you’d like to think that the two-time defending West Division champs aren’t just going to lay down and die this year even though they are just 1-7. The return of Head Coach Ken Miller should help out the psyche for the Riders quite a bit this year, and we wouldn’t be surprised at all if they were able to take down the Bombers this week and get their season once again heading in the right direction. Free CFL Picks: Saskatchewan +3

Montreal Alouettes @ Hamilton Tiger-Cats Picks
Week 10 CFL Odds: Montreal -2.5
CFL Week 10 Lines: Over/Under 55.5

This is the second time in a span of just a month that these two teams have met here at Ivor Wynne Stadium, and it is becoming clear that this is a little house of horrors for the Alouettes. QB Anthony Calvillo had a miserable game in spite of the fact that he had some solid statistics when these teams met a month and change ago, but now, he is no longer dealing with that pesky eye injury. QB Kevin Glenn and the Ti-Cats have had their offense rolling, but the truth of the matter is that they have allowed at least 30 points in four of their last five games, and the only game in the middle was that 26 allowed to Montreal. If the Alouettes reach 30 in this one, they aren’t losing, especially after that angering loss against Calgary last week at McMahon Stadium. Free CFL Picks: Montreal -2.5

Edmonton Eskimos @ Calgary Stampeders Picks
Week 10 CFL Odds: Calgary -9
CFL Week 10 Lines: Over/Under 48

Calgary’s offense is rolling right now, and QB Henry Burris is the man to thank for that. He accounted for right around 450 total yards of offense last week, and he is well on his way to returning to the status as the torchbearer of quarterbacks in this league. Meanwhile, Edmonton is still expected to be without WR Fred Stamps and a number of other wide receivers, and it has to overcome the fact that it hasn’t scored a major in nearly three full games of game time. Sure, we think that the Eskies will be improved with two and a half weeks of practice to prepare for this one, but in the end, we just don’t see it making all that much of a difference. Calgary is clearly the better team, and it will be out to make a statement over these next two weeks, to take a three game lead in the West Division and to make up for that home loss to Edmonton from earlier in the year. Free CFL Picks: Calgary -9
