The 2012 NFL schedule is back, and here at Cappers Info, we’ll be looking at some of the best games on the docket each and every week, as we try to make the most money possible off of the Week 17 odds for the NFL. Join us on Sunday, as we make our Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ Atlanta Falcons free picks and predictions for what should be a great clash on the gridiron.

Week 17 NFL Picks: Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ Atlanta Falcons
Date: Sunday, December 30th, 1:00 ET
Location: Georgia Dome, Atlanta, GA
NFL Betting Odds: Atlanta -5
Buccaneers @ Falcons On TV: FOX

The Falcons have absolutely nothing to play for in the regular season finale, just like they did last year when they jumped out to a 42-0 lead and coasted to a 45-24 romp on the final day of the season against these same Bucs in this same venue. It is anyone’s guess how hard Atlanta is going to play in this one, but if we even get a half out of QB Matt Ryan and the gang, we have to think that that is going to be enough to win this game. The Bucs really don’t feel like they have “it” right now since losing to the Falcons back on November 25th. They have since gone 0-5 SU and 1-3-1 ATS, and that just doesn’t cut it at this level. It’s not quite the same epic fall that Tampa Bay had at the end of last season, but it is the same trend for sure. Perhaps this one won’t quite be so bad, but a win by a touchdown is every bit as good as a win by three scores or more.

Buccaneers @ Falcons Pick: Atlanta Falcons -5
Buccaneers @ Falcons Score Prediction: Atlanta 27 – Tampa Bay 21

The 2012 NFL season is back, and here at Cappers Info, we’ll be looking at some of the best games on the docket each and every week, as we try to make the most money possible off of the NFL odds for the week. Join us on Sunday, as we make our St. Louis Rams @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers free picks and predictions for what should be a great clash on the gridiron.

Week 16 NFL Picks: St. Louis Rams @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Date: Sunday, December 23rd, 1:00 ET
Location: Raymond James Stadium, Tampa Bay, FL
NFL Betting Odds: Tampa Bay -3
Rams vs. Buccaneers On TV: FOX

Both the Rams and the Bucs watched their seasons come to an end last week when they were blown out by the Vikings and the Saints respectively. Tampa Bay is almost certainly at least the slightly better of these two teams though, especially for this matchup. St. Louis has a tough time getting the ball up the field, and that is what has to be done to beat the Bucs and their 32nd ranked pass defense. QB Josh Freeman is coming off of the worst game of his career in which he tossed four picks and didn’t get a single point on the board, and he and WR Vincent Jackson should be in for great days against a sometimes suspect St. Louis defense. The Bucs have won six of the last eight in this series from an SU perspective and are 6-1-1 ATS in those games as well. Tampa Bay deserves to see one more win for the home team in what has been a great season, and that’s exactly what the Buccaneers are going to deliver on Sunday.

St. Louis Rams @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers Pick: Tampa Bay Buccaneers -3
St. Louis Rams @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers Score Prediction: Tampa Bay 28 – St. Louis 17

Making sports betting picks is one of my specialties, and today at Cappers Info, I’m making my Sunday Football Tipster pick based upon the football trends and NFL odds for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. New Orleans Saints game on Sunday, December 16th at Mercedes Benz Superdome at 1:00 p.m. ET.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers (6-7, 9-3-1 ATS) +3.5
New Orleans Saints (5-8, 6-7 ATS) -3.5
Over/Under 53

I hate playing with the public, and I especially hate playing with the public in games in which the line is moving against what I figure. However, in this case, I’m going to make an exception and go purely with my gut as opposed to what the numbers say, which is something that is totally rare for me to do.

The Saints know that their season is over. They have lost three games in a row, and they really have given up on the idea of getting into the playoffs since 8-8 isn’t going to get the job done. Meanwhile, Tampa Bay had its sights set on the second season up until last week when it was beaten on the final play of the game by the Eagles. How on earth do you come back from a game like that to go on the road against a division rival to get the job done?

Simply put, you don’t. The Bucs just aren’t going to be able to do this. The Saints sort of feel like they have a score to settle with Tampa Bay after losing to this team twice in this building in the last three years, and that just isn’t going to cut it. I really think that this game is going to look a heck of a lot like last year’s Tampa Bay/Atlanta game, where the Bucs just lied down and died. Just in case they don’t know, I’m also going to make the hedging bet that should be relatively easy as well.

Week 15 pointspreads are out, and here at Cappers Info, we are set to analyze the NFL odds for one of the top games on the slate. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. New Orleans Saints odds are posted, and we are set to make our NFL picks for another great game.

Week 15 NFL Picks: Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ New Orleans Saints
Date: Sunday, December 16th, 1:00 ET
Location: Mercedes Benz Superdome, New Orleans, LA
Week 15 Betting Odds: New Orleans -3.5
Tampa Bay vs. New Orleans Live TV: FOX

If you want to see the faces of deflated players, look no further than Tampa Bay, where the Bucs had to feel like their whole season came crashing down at the hands of the Eagles last Sunday. Now, the team is in a heck of a lot of trouble, and even winning out probably isn’t going to get the job done. The Saints knew that this season was going to be tough, and a 5-8 record exemplifies just that. However, they’re not done fighting for sure, and they are going to have a real chance to put up gobs of numbers against a Tampa Bay team that ranks dead last in the league in pass defense. If you thought that Brees was able to put up some great numbers against some of the other teams in the league, wait til you see what he does to the Bucs at home. The 377 yards and four TDs from the first meeting of these two teams was nothing.

Buccaneers @ Saints Pick: New Orleans Saints -3.5
Buccaneers @ Saints Score Prediction: New Orleans 41 – Tampa Bay 27

Week 14 pointspreads are out, and here at Cappers Info, we are set to analyze the NFL odds for one of the top games on the slate. The Philadelphia Eagles vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers odds are posted, and we are set to make our NFL picks for another great game.

Week 14 NFL Picks: Philadelphia Eagles @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Date: Sunday, December 9th, 1:00 ET
Location: Raymond James Stadium, Tampa Bay, FL
Week 14 Betting Odds: Tampa Bay -7.5
Philadelphia vs. Tampa Bay Live TV: FOX

The Eagles really haven’t played all that well since QB Michael Vick went out, but there are at least a few items to be happy about down the stretch. QB Nick Foles hasn’t been a total disaster, and he has to be comfortable knowing that he is going to get a chance to start for the rest of the regular season this year, and RB Bryce Brown has been tremendous replacing RB LeSean McCoy, who is likely to also be sat out for the rest of the year with a concussion. Tampa Bay has been good at times, and not so good at others. The club has lost two in a row and badly needs to get back on track in this game to get back into a position to get into the playoffs. It should win this game, but it is going to have a tough time covering the number. Even when the Bucs have had their best offense, they have only won games by very close margins, no more than 10 in the last five games. Don’t be shocked if the Eagles, as they did last week against the Cowboys, find a way to hit the backdoor.

Eagles @ Buccaneers Pick: Philadelphia Eagles +7.5
Eagles @ Buccaneers Score Prediction: Tampa Bay 30 – Philadelphia 24

December 8th, 2012 By Jack Wilshire

BovadaThe Philadelphia Eagles and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are set to kick off their Week 14 NFL betting clash on Sunday 12/9, and I’m set to make my football pick for the affair at Raymond James Stadium. Kickoff is set for 1:00 ET, and I’ve got the perfect NFL pick for this outstanding duel on the gridiron.

Philadelphia Eagles (3-9, 2-9-1 ATS) +7.5
Tampa Bay Buccaneers (6-6, 9-2-1 ATS) -7.5
Over/Under 47.5

The Buccaneers are going to come into this game with some high hopes of blowing through a Philadelphia defense that really hasn’t been all that great. The team has scored at least 23 points in eight games in a row, and in most of those games, at least 27 were put up on the board. The Eagles have allowed at least 30 in five straight and at least 26 in seven consecutive outings.

What’s really getting the Eagles right now is their bipolarity. They are doing well moving the ball at times and are hitting some big plays, but they are also turning the ball over just far too much and giving opponents opportunities to score relatively easy touchdowns. If that turns out to be the case in this one, I would expect to see QB Nick Foles hit a few shots down the field for big gains that could turn into points, and I’d also expect to see him make some blunders that gives QB Josh Freeman and the gang some easy ones.

Many look at the 9-2-1 ATS vs. 2-9-1 ATS records in this game and immediately justify laying the points with Tampa Bay. However, I look a bit deeper at those standings and see Tampa Bay as a 9-3 ‘over’ team and Philly as a 6-6 ‘over’ team that has played back to back games well beyond the ‘total’. This should be a slam dunk, especially knowing that two straight and four out of six have exceeded the number in this series.

Eagles @ Buccaneers Tips: Over 47.5

5Dimes SportsbookOne of my favorite plays on the Sunday NFL odds pits the Denver Broncos against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. These two are going to be meeting at 4:05 p.m. ET at Sports Authority Field at Mile High, and I’m going to show you which side to make your NFL pick on for this great game.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers (6-5, 8-2-1 ATS) +7.5
Denver Broncos (8-3, 6-5 ATS) -7.5
Over/Under 50.5

It’s kind of a square thing to do, but I really like playing this teaser on Sunday to bring the Broncos down to a pick ‘em and put it with the ‘over’. I know if you look at the history of this series, I see nothing but these lousy 16-13 and 13-10 types of games, but that just isn’t going to be this one this time around. Remember that the last time these two teams met was back in 2008, and both teams looked a whole heck of a lot different at that point than they do now.

The Broncos are going to be throwing the pigskin all over the place on Sunday. Tampa Bay ranks 32nd in the league against the pass, and we would be shocked to see QB Peyton Manning not throw the ball for at least 300, maybe even 400 yards if he has to. Of course, RB Knowshon Moreno isn’t going to be doing a whole heck of a lot, but he doesn’t have to in spite of the fact that Tampa Bay ranks first in the league against the run.

Over the course of the last four games at home, Manning and the Broncos have scored 30, 34, 21, and 25 points. If they do all of that again in this one, this is a game that they are going to win and win by a respectable amount of points. I don’t think that I’m going to need the teaser price, and I might throw together a small parlay as well, but let’s just stick with the teaser at this point.

Buccaneers @ Broncos Tips: 7-Point Teaser – Denver -0.5 w/ Over 43.5

Week 13 Football Picks: Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ Denver Broncos
Date: Sunday, December 2nd, 4:05 ET
Location: Sports Authority Field at Mile High
NFL Betting Lines: Denver -7.5
Buccaneers vs. Broncos On TV: FOX

The Bucs have been playing great ball of late, and the consensus seems to think that this is a heck of a lot of points to be giving a team that is fighting for its life to get into the playoffs this year. The Tampa Bay defense ranks dead last in the league against the pass, and that has to have QB Peyton Manning lighting up about his preparation for this one. Manning and WR Demaryius Thomas are likely to both have huge days when push comes to shove, and we think that the Tampa Bay offense is going to have some troubles going into a raucous stadium against a very underrated defense that is getting the job done and forcing a ton of miscues. As much as we love the job that Head Coach Greg Schiano has done this year for Tampa Bay, this team isn’t ready to come on the road and compete in a game like this one. It’s been awhile since the Bucs have been blown out of the water, but this feels like the game in which that is going to happen.

Buccaneers @ Broncos Pick: Denver Broncos -7.5
Tampa Bay @ Denver Score Prediction: Denver 31 – Tampa Bay 14

5Dimes SportsbookOne of my favorite plays on the Sunday NFL odds pits the Tampa Bay Buccaneers against the Atlanta Falcons. These two are going to be meeting at 1:00 p.m. ET at Raymond James Stadium, and I’m going to show you which side to make your NFL pick on for this great game.

Atlanta Falcons (9-1, 6-4 ATS) pk
Tampa Bay Buccaneers (6-4, 8-2 ATS) pk
Over/Under 51

Though I really don’t believe that the offenses for either the Bucs or the Falcons is really all that great, but they are both capable of doing some real damage in this game. I just know that QB Matt Ryan isn’t going to be tossing five picks in a game once again and the Bucs are going to be out for blood after last year’s 45-24 loss in which they fell behind 42-0 in the middle of the second quarter.

I also have to remember that Head Coach Greg Schiano has really brought Tampa Bay to life this year offensively. RB Doug Martin is running the ball amazingly well, and QB Josh Freeman is looking more like the man that he was two years ago and less like the one that couldn’t stop turning it over last year.

Three of the last four games in this series have exceeded the ‘total’. This is going to be a tough one to get to, knowing that 51 is a whole heck of a lot of points and likely will require six or seven touchdowns to get the job done. However, with Ryan throwing the ball all over the place, and no one for the Buccaneers historically being able to figure out how to cover WR Julio Jones, in all likelihood, this will be a very high scoring game when push comes to shove.

Falcons @ Buccaneers Tips: Over 51

Week 12 NFL Picks: Atlanta Falcons @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Date: Sunday, November 25th, 1:00 ET
Location: Raymond James Stadium, Tampa Bay, FL
NFL Betting Odds: Pick ‘Em
Falcons @ Buccaneers On TV: FOX

This is a really tough game to handicap. We have seen the Falcons come on the road and beat some very comparable teams to this one, but the Bucs are hot, and they would love to add another notch to their belt by taking care of the team with the top record in the NFC. QB Matt Ryan is coming off of one of the worst games of his career when he threw five picks against the Arizona Cardinals. The Falcons have really looked vulnerable over the course of the last few weeks. If the offense isn’t rolling, the defense really isn’t looked upon as all that good in the first place. This isn’t like the Houston Texans, where we know that either side of the ball can ultimately win the game. The Atlanta team is more like the New Orleans Saints, a one dimensional team. The difference is that Matty Ice isn’t Drew Brees. We aren’t 100% sure that the Bucs are ready to win a game like this one just a year removed from being one of the worst teams in the NFL, but Head Coach Greg Schiano should get his troops up for this one. It should be a great game, and we’re going to give the home field edge to the Bucs.

Falcons @ Buccaneers Pick: Tampa Bay Buccaneers pk
Falcons @ Buccaneers Score Prediction: Tampa Bay 28 – Atlanta 26

BovadaThe Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Carolina Panthers are set to kick off their Week 11 NFL betting clash on Sunday 11/18, and I’m set to make my football pick for the affair at Bank of America Stadium. Kickoff is set for 1:00 ET, and I’ve got the perfect NFL pick for this outstanding duel on the gridiron.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers (5-4, 7-2 ATS) -1.5
Carolina Panthers (2-7, 4-5 ATS) +1.5
Over/Under 48

The oddsmakers don’t often get matters wrong with two teams that face each other so often, especially in the NFL. This is a game where I am going to bust out the teaser, knowing that there has been just a huge adjustment between these two teams from now and when they played in Week 1.

Of course, I must note that there is no doubt that Carolina and Tampa Bay are both clearly not the same team that I, and everyone else, thought they were this year. The Panthers aren’t significantly worse in my eyes in spite of the fact that they are just 2-7 this year. Tampa Bay meanwhile, is a lot better than the oddsmakers thought, but it is about what I always thought this team would be like.

I also look at this ‘total’ and wonder what in the heck gives with this. The ‘total’ was only 45.5 the first time around, and in spite of the fact that this game was an easy ‘under’, the number has gone up by almost a field goal. That just doesn’t make any sense to me, so I’ll go with the gut of the oddsmakers in the first place, going with the Panthers and the ‘under’ in a same game teaser with a lot of margin for error.

Buccaneers @ Panthers Tips: Same-Game Teaser – Carolina +8.5 w/ Under 55

Join us on Sunday, as we make our Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ Carolina Panthers free picks and predictions for what should be a great clash on the gridiron.

Week 11 NFL Picks: Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ Carolina Panthers
Date: Sunday, November 18th, 1:00 ET
Location: Bank of America Stadium, Charlotte, NC
NFL Betting Odds: Tampa Bay -1.5
Buccaneers vs. Panthers On TV: FOX

When these two teams met back in Week 1,Tampa Bay was essentially a six-point underdog if the game were played on a neutral field. Meanwhile, the oddsmakers have now lined Carolina at essentially +4.5 when push comes to shove on a neutral field. Have these two teams really proven that they are 10.5 points separated from one another at this point? Carolina has played a lot of tough games, and before last week against Denver, there really wasn’t a game in which the team has been out of it. QB Cam Newton really had a great day throwing the football when these two teams met the first time, and we wouldn’t be all that surprised if he was able to come out and stop the run that Tampa Bay has been on over the course of the last few weeks. There’s just no way that the Bucs can keep this up offensively, as they have scored at least 28 points in five straight games.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ Carolina Panthers Pick: Carolina Panthers +1
Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ Carolina Panthers Score Prediction: Carolina 28 – Tampa Bay 20
