Week 17 pointspreads are out, and here at Cappers Info, we are set to analyze the NFL odds for one of the top games on the slate. The Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Tennessee Titans odds are posted, and we are set to make our NFL picks for another great game.

Week 17 NFL Picks: Jacksonville Jaguars @ Tennessee Titans
Date: Sunday, December 30th, 1:00 ET
Location: LP Field, Nashville, TN
Week 17 Betting Odds: Tennessee -4
Jacksonville vs. Tennessee Live TV: CBS

The Jaguars won the first go around with these two teams this year, taking the game in the Sunshine State 24-19 the weekend after Thanksgiving. It wasn’t the prettiest game in the world, knowing that there were just a total of 681 yards of offense in the game, but it did mark the fourth straight cover and the third win in four games in this series for the Jags. Tennessee clearly has given up on the season, as demonstrated by the fact that it allowed 55 points last week to the Green Bay Packers, marking the sixth loss of the year by at least three touchdowns. The one thing that we have consistently said about the Jags all year long is that they are fighting hard, and they did so last week against the New England Patriots in the home finale as well. There’s no reason to believe that the team won’t put its best foot forward in this one and at least find a way to stick within the number, even if the Titans do ultimately pull out the SU victory.

Week 16 NFL Picks: Tennessee Titans @ Green Bay Packers
Date: Sunday, December 23rd, 1:00 ET
Location: Lambeau Field, Green Bay, WI
Week 16 Betting Odds: Green Bay -13
Titans vs. Packers Live TV: CBS

We love these big time dogs this week, and virtually without exception, we’re going to be backing them. The Titans are coming off of a win last week against the Jets, and we have to remember that they have only been beaten by this many points twice in the last nine games. In there too, was a game that could have been covered at the death against the Houston Texans, as the backdoor was left wide open. Remember too, that Tennessee has won three straight and covered two of the last three in this series, though that does date back to 2001. The Packers have won and covered three straight games and have won exactly zero of those games by more than nine points. And the oddsmakers are expecting them to lay nearly two full touchdowns in this one? Doesn’t it seem a bit ridiculous to you? The Green Bay rushing attack just isn’t good enough to close out a game when it is ahead, even by three scores, and that will leave the door wide open once again for the Titans and their bettors to prance on through as victors.

BovadaThe Tennessee Titans and the Green Bay Packers are set to kick off their Week 16 NFL betting clash on Sunday 12/23, and I’m set to make my football pick for the affair at Lambeau Field. Kickoff is set for 1:00 ET, and I’ve got the perfect NFL pick for this outstanding duel on the gridiron.

Tennessee Titans (5-9, 5-9 ATS) +13
Green Bay Packers (10-4, 8-6 ATS) -13
Over/Under 46

Those of you that have followed my betting advice over the course of the last several weeks know that I love my underdogs, and I especially love when I can get great spots on teams that are just vastly underrated going against teams that are just vastly overrated. This one just makes no sense to me. The Pack should be favored, surely. But to favor them by more than 10 is ridiculous. They aren’t beating teams by double digits now, so there is no reason to think that that is going to change here.

Tennessee’s offense has been bad, but its defense hasn’t allowed more than 27 points in a game since November 4th. Head Coach Mike Munchak has his boys playing tight to the vest, and though the club is taking some shots up the field, all in all, the offense still revolves around the successes or the failures of RB Chris Johnson.

The Packers haven’t scored more than 27 points in a game since November 4th either. And the oddsmakers are assuming a 30-17 final, or something of the sorts. Give me a break. You can bet that I’m going to be throwing the Titans into a heck of a lot of teasers this weekend at +20, but for the purposes of this play, I’m going to take the Packers ‘under’ their team total, as the only way I see Tennessee getting beaten is if it beats itself on offense.

Titans @ Packers Tips: Green Bay Team Total Under 29.5 Points

NFL betting fans are running to their online sportsbooks to place their New York Jets vs. Tennessee Titans bets and predictions, and here at Cappers Info, we are making our Monday football picks for this encounter.

Week 15 Football Picks: New York Jets @ Tennessee Titans
Date: Monday, December 17th, 8:30 ET
Location: LP Field, Nashville, TN
NFL Betting Lines: Tennessee -1
Jets vs. Titans On TV: ESPN

When you really sit down and look at what the Jets have done this year, there have to be some points where you have to be impressed. The team has already played against QB Tom Brady twice, and it still ranks third in the NFL against the pass. The ground game at least looks like it is a bit dynamic as well with RB Bilal Powell start to shine. Sure, the passing game is a disaster, and the 6-7 record makes this team look like a joke, but when you really dig deeper, you see what the clear choice is to make in this game. The Jets are 1-6 SU and 3-4 ATS against teams that are going to be in the playoffs this year. Against teams that aren’t going to be in the playoffs, they’re 5-1 SU and 4-2 ATS. It’s just a clear choice. The only reason the oddsmakers are putting all of this stock into a Tennessee team that is 1-4 SU and 1-4 ATS in its last five games is because the perception is there that the Jets are train wrecks. They’re bad. They have just barely coasted by in a number of games. But they’re still playing well against the teams that they should be playing well against, and they’ll get the job done here at LP Field to stay within a game of that last playoff spot with just two to play.

Jets @ Titans Pick: New York Jets +1
New York @ Tennessee Score Prediction: New York 20 – Tennessee 17

December 16th, 2012 By Jack Wilshire

Of all of the games on the Monday 12/17 Week 15 NFL betting schedule, one of my favorite is the clash between the New York Jets and the Tennessee Titans. Join me for my tips for this 8:30 p.m. ET kickoff that can be seen on ESPN.

New York Jets (6-7, 7-6 ATS) +2
Tennessee Titans (4-9, 4-9 ATS) -2
Over/Under 41.5

The Titans are really starting to air it out over the course of the last few weeks, and they are hitting a few of those deep shots that really could make a game get to the ‘total’ relatively quickly. Don’t mistake this for a good offensive team, as it isn’t quite yet, but there are some dynamic players on this club that can really get the job done when push comes to shove.

I just love the fact that the public is destroying the ‘under’ in this very public game. The Jets are looked at as a team that just won’t score any points whatsoever, but we have to remember that Tennessee allowed 24 points or more in three straight losses. Odds have it, New York is going to get at least somewhere near that number when push comes to shove. We also have to remember that the Jets have played against some relatively good defensive teams over the course of the last few weeks, and against those teams that aren’t that great defensively (I’m looking at you Houston, Indy, New England, and St. Louis), the club has averaged 24.8 points per game.

This isn’t going to be the prettiest game in the world, and it isn’t going to be a dead nuts ‘over’ from the get go, but when push comes to shove, you might be ultimately surprised when you see right around 45 points on the board when this one is said and done with. Remember that two straight and three out of four in this series have all gone past the number, and the Jets have scored at least 23 points in five of the last six against Tennessee.

Jets @ Titans Tips: Over 41.5

The Tennessee Titans and the Indianapolis Colts are going to square off in Week 14 of the NFL betting campaign. Join us here at Cappers Info, as we make our predictions for football for what should be a great game on Sunday.

Week 14 NFL Picks: Tennessee Titans @ Indianapolis Colts
Date: Sunday, December 9th, 1:00 ET
Location: Lucas Oil Stadium, Indianapolis, IN
Week 14 Betting Odds: Indianapolis -5
Titans vs. Colts Live TV: CBS

The Colts have been the books’ worst nightmare over the course of the last few weeks. They have been the subject of public bets over the course of each of the last seven weeks, and they are 6-1 ATS to show for their work in those games. Yet, we’ll continue to bite, as we still really don’t think that they are all that great, rather that they have beaten up on a number of teams that just aren’t all that good. Granted, once again, we realize that Tennessee isn’t all that great either, but it took QB Andrew Luck pulling one out of his hat to lead the Colts past Tennessee the first time that these clubs met this year at LP Field. Odds have it, this will be another one of these close divisional games, as the Titans have played a heck of a lot better ball since getting blown away by the Bears a month ago. Stick with QB Jake Locker and the gang to at least figure out how to keep this one close, though we wouldn’t be at all surprised if this one ended up going right down to the wire.

The 2012 NFL schedule is back, and here at Cappers Info, we’ll be looking at some of the best games on the docket each and every week, as we try to make the most money possible off of the Week 13 odds for the NFL. Join us on Sunday, as we make our Houston Texans @ Tennessee Titans free picks and predictions for what should be a great clash on the gridiron.

Week 13 NFL Picks: Houston Texans @ Tennessee Titans
Date: Sunday, November 2nd, 1:00 ET
Location: LP Field, Nashville, TN
NFL Betting Odds: Houston -6.5
Texans @ Titans On TV: CBS

All sorts of NFL picks are being made on the Texans this week, but it just doesn’t seem to be all that justified. The team is clearly the better of the two squads, but Houston really hasn’t played all that well of late. The team has failed to cover back to back NFL point spreads, but the momentum is still continuing thanks to the fact that both games were won outright late in overtime periods. Still, there is a lot of concern about the health of the linebackers right now, as LB Brooks Reed, LB Brian Cushing, and LB Bradie James are all out of the fold for this one. That really could open up some room for RB Chris Johnson to run, and if that turns out to be the case, it could be a long day for the Texans’ defense. CJ2K has had some big, big days in his career against the Texans, including earlier this year when he rushed for 141 yards in a losing effort against them. The season is on the line for the Titans, and though they won’t win this one, they should, like Detroit and Jacksonville before them, cover this number.

Texans @ Titans Pick: Tennessee Titans +6.5
Texans @ Titans Score Prediction: Houston 27 – Tennessee 24

Making sports betting picks is one of my specialties, and today at Cappers Info, I’m making my Sunday Football Tipster pick based upon the football trends and NFL odds for the Houston Texans vs. Tennessee Titans game on Sunday, December 2nd at LP Field at 1:00 p.m. ET.

Houston Texans (10-1, 7-4 ATS) -7
Tennessee Titans (4-7, 4-7 ATS) +7
Over/Under 47

It’s not all that often that you see over 75% of the betting action on one side of an NFL betting battle, but in this one, the mass majority of the public is betting on the Texans. I however, just don’t know why so many are doing that with Houston giving a full touchdown on the road against a division rival.

The Titans have all to play for in this game. They are just 4-7, and they probably have to win out to get into the playoffs this year. They are playing in front of their hometown crowd, and the last time that they were here at LP Field, they were embarrassed 51-20 by the Chicago Bears in one of the worst games in the history of the franchise.

On top of that, the Texans are dealing with a ton of injuries at the moment, especially at the linebacker position. LB Brian Cushing has been out for most of the year, but the man that is replacing him, LB Bradie James isn’t going to play on Sunday either. LB Brooks Reed is out for the next few weeks as well. Now add in the fact that the Houston defense has allowed 68 points over the course of the last two weeks in failed efforts at covers, and the makings are really right for the Titans to, at minimum, stick in front of this number, if not win the game outright.

Texans @ Titans Tips: Tennessee Titans +7

Week 12 NFL Picks: Tennessee Titans @ Jacksonville Jaguars
Date: Sunday, November 25th, 1:00 ET
Location: EverBank Field, Jacksonville, FL
NFL Betting Odds: Tennessee -3
Titans vs. Jaguars On TV: CBS

The Jaguars and the Titans have had some ugly games in their history against one another, but for the most part, Tennessee has had a fine time playing here in the Sunshine State. RB Chris Johnson is really starting to roll, and both WR Kenny Britt and QB Jake Locker are healthy and ready to go full bore, especially after the team’s bye week. There has to be a real question as to what the Jags have left in the tank at this point after getting drained emotionally by that loss in Houston last week. The last time that Jacksonville played a game that emotionally intense was the 24-15 loss at Green Bay a month ago. What happened right after that? A very comparable Detroit team came to Jacksonville and stomped the Jaguars by 17 in a game that was never really all that close. We expect to see something quite similar again in this one, as the Titans come to town and smack down Jacksonville back into its place after it nearly took down the Texans at Reliant Stadium.

5Dimes SportsbookOne of my favorite plays on the Sunday NFL odds pits the Jacksonville Jaguars against the Tennessee Titans. These two are going to be meeting at 1:00 p.m. ET at EverBank Field, and I’m going to show you which side to make your NFL pick on for this great game.

Tennessee Titans (4-6, 4-6 ATS) -3
Jacksonville Jaguars (1-9, 5-5 ATS) +3
Over/Under 43.5

I loved every second of that game last week that the Jaguars played against the Houston Texans. Now, the whole world thinks that all of a sudden, QB Chad Henne is going to be the savior of the franchise and that WR Justin Blackmon is going to become a beast of a receiver when push comes to shove… It all really just makes me laugh, to tell you the truth.

Why is that? Because the Jaguars are still a joke. They had scored a grand total of 39 points in their previous three games before scoring 37 on Houston, and now, they are playing against a team that is going to run the heck out of the football, not throw it 50+ times like QB Matt Schaub and company did. This isn’t a look ahead game for the Titans, as there is no such thing as a game in which you can look ahead when you’ve got to win at least five of your final six to get into the playoffs.

It’s just too funny as well when you look at the series history of these two. Last year, there were 30 points and 40 points scored in the two games. The ‘under’ is 4-0-1 in the last five in this series, and it is 6-1-1 in the last eight. This is just a remarkably bad spot for points to be scored, and I just don’t see how there are going to be 40 put on the board between these two iffy offenses. I’d be surprised if either team gets to 20.

Titans @ Jaguars Tips: Under 43.5

The Tennessee Titans and the Miami Dolphins are going to square off in Week 10 of the NFL betting campaign. Join us here at Cappers Info, as we make our predictions for football for what should be a great game on Sunday.

Week 10 NFL Picks: Tennessee Titans @ Miami Dolphins
Date: Sunday, November 11th, 1:00 ET
Location: Sun Life Stadium, Miami, FL
Week 10 Betting Odds: Miami -6
Titans vs. Dolphins Live TV: CBS

This is a game that we think the oddsmakers just got flat out wrong. The Titans are coming off of just a horrid beating at the hands of the Bears, and they are going to want to make sure that they get back on track to stick around in the race in the AFC playoff race. Meanwhile, we just don’t think all that much of the Dolphins. Who have they really beaten this year? The Jets? The Bengals? The Rams? The Raiders? Wee. In fact, they’ve only played one game against a good team all year long, and that came against the Texans in Week 1, a game that was lost by 20. We’re not saying that Miami won’t win this game, because it very well might, but the fact of the matter is that we think this is only just greater than a 50/50 proposition when push comes to shove. These two teams, especially now that QB Jake Locker is back in the fold for the Titans, are on relatively level terms as we see it.

Titans @ Dolphins Pick: Tennessee Titans +6
Titans @ Dolphins Score Prediction: Miami 21 – Tennessee 17

November 11th, 2012 By Jack Wilshire

Of all of the games on the Sunday 11/11 Week 10 NFL betting schedule, one of my favorite is the clash between the Tennessee Titans and the Miami Dolphins. Join me for my tips for this 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff that can be seen on CBS.

Tennessee Titans (3-6, 3-6 ATS) +6
Miami Dolphins (4-4, 4-4 ATS) -6
Over/Under 44

The way that you get points on the board against the Dolphins is by throwing the football. Unfortunately for the Titans, they really don’t do that all that well. The good news is that QB Jake Locker is going to be back in the fold this week, but the bad news is that he really has never proven to be a prolific passer when push comes to shove. This could see the Dolphins just teeing off on him time and time again if RB Chris Johnson can’t get going.

But don’t think for a single second that this is going to be all peaches and cream for the Dolphins offensively as well. The Titans allowed 51 points last week, and they are going to make sure to do a heck of a lot better than that this time around. Last year when they allowed 41 to the Texans, they turned right around and held the Colts to just 10 points and kept their next three foes to a total of just 37.

The Titans are better than what they’ve shown defensively over the course of the last month and a half or so, and I think that that is going to be what shines on Sunday. The ‘under’ is 6-3 in the last nine games in this series dating back to 1997, and that’s my expectation in this one, especially knowing that the Fins have played four straight games ‘under’ the ‘total’.

Titans @ Dolphins Tips: Under 44
