Tiger Woods (+565): We are always keeping an eye on Tiger as he tries to catch Jack Nicklaus for the most majors in the history of the sport, and this is one of the many opportunities that he is going to have. What we have seen out of Woods of late we like for sure, as he was able to win the Memorial, his second ‘W’ of the year. This is a heck of a lot different of a challenge for Woods though, as he has to go to a very difficult course against some of the best golfers in the world. When he was on his game, Tiger was the best in the world. But is he still worthy of being called “our national champion?” We just don’t really think so. This is a man to pass upon for sure.

Rory McIlroy (+1250): McIlroy really made it to the big time at the US Open last year, when he stormed through Washington DC and Congressional to take his first major championship. Unfortunately, we haven’t see a heck of a lot out of the youngster from Northern Ireland this year, and we are wondering whether we are in a position where McIlroy has become overplayed. Is 12 to 1 really good enough for us to want to bet on McIlroy? We definitely think that he can be a contender on this course, but this might be the man to bet on a day or two in the future after seeing how he comes out of the blocks on Thursday.

Bubba Watson (+5000): Watson most certainly made a name for himself earlier this year when he won the Masters in what amounted to be the biggest win of his career. This up and coming star on the links is going to be a contender again here in San Francisco we feel, as Watson just has this knack of always being in contention as the courses, the conditions, and the competition all get tougher. We aren’t so sure that Watson is going to be able to claim yet another major championship this year, but at 50 to 1, we certainly know that the US Open odds are on our side.

Nick Watney (+9500): Remember last year when we were all hopping on the Nick Watney bandwagon, as he was tearing through tournaments left and right? He turned out to be a brutal disappointment for the most part in all of these major tournaments, and last year’s US Open was no exception. That being said, this is a great price on a golfer that has a lot of potential. Don’t be all that shocked if in the end, Watney is the man that is able to stick around in this competition.

Our 2012 Masters predictions are officially here at Cappers Info! Some of the best golfers in the world are set to take aim at the links of rainy Augusta National, and today, we are going to be taking a final look at our bold predictions for the Masters, including our 2012 Masters free picks.

Tiger Woods (+480): Tiger is going to be the trendy choice in this tournament, and though we don’t think that he legitimately has a one in four chance of winning the event, we do think that he has a great chance to at least stick around. If Woods is within a shot or two of the lead going into play on Sunday, he might be the odds on favorite, depending upon what golfer is in the lead. It is clear that Woods, coming off of that win at the Arnold Palmer Invitational, is playing the best golf that we have seen him play in the last three years. That being said, he won’t officially be “back” until he wins a major. Could it happen by Sunday? We definitely think that there is at least a very viable chance that that is what plays out.

Rory McIlroy (+650): Going into the final round here at Augusta National last year, McIlroy looked like he was going to be a dead nuts lock to win his first major. That being said, the 22 year old shot a terrible 80 to fall from grace. Many thought that it would take years for him to recover, if he ever actually did. And then came the US Open at Congressional when he basically went wire to wire and looked better and better with every passing shot that he took. The bottom line is that right now, McIlroy might be the best golfer in the world, and the argument could be made that he is the next Tiger Woods. He might prove it by exorcizing the demons of Masters’ past from last year.

Luke Donald (+1475): Donald really is our favorite pick on the odds to win the Masters. McIlroy and Woods are the two trendy picks, and Phil Mickelson isn’t going to be all that far behind either. That being said, it is probably a little known fact that Donald is the world’s No. 1 ranked player right now. Think that that’s a farce just because he plays in a lot of tournaments? Think again. Guess who is the No. 1 putter in the world as well? Luke Donald. Sure, we know that the flashy names are going to be the ones that get all of the pub, but the time is coming for Donald to really make a difference on the PGA Tour for more than just money lists and tour rankings. He could be the really sneaky play in slow conditions with iffy scores in the Peach State.

Graeme McDowell (+8000): McDowell is a long shot to win the Masters to say the least, but we think that he might be able to at least hang around in this tournament. Historically, McDowell is a good putter, and he has the game that really translates to the majors. It hasn’t turned into success quite yet, but we aren’t all that removed from the times when McDowell was one of the favorites to win most every event that he partook in. Don’t count him out this weekend.

Handicapping the Masters can be one of the most frustrating things in the world because there are just so many golfers to choose from. Though at this will seem a lot like a crapshoot, there are definite ways to handicap golf odds in a great light. Remember that these picks are all based upon percentages of winning plays. A man that is 100 to 1 only needs to win this event one out of 100 times to make us a winner. There are a number of different golfers that strike our fancy this week at one of the biggest events of the year. Here are our picks to win the green jacket in Masters betting action!

We have to start by saying that we hate these odds on Tiger Woods. Sure, we know that getting 8.50 to 1 at BetUS Sportsbook is probably about as good as you’re going to get on Tiger, especially with his history, but the bottom line is that he is just done. There’s no way that he is all of a sudden going to win this event one out of eight times after not winning anything in two full years. We just have no confidence in Tiger right now, and though he has a great history of Top 10 finishes here at the Masters, this probably won’t be the week that he suddenly busts out. On the same type of note, we think that the odds to win the Masters on Phil Mickelson are blown out of proportion at 6 to 1. Lefty is good, and he does have three green jackets to his credit, but there’s no way that he wins this event one out of six times.

Instead, we’ll look at some of the other great golfers in the world, most of which have never won this event before.

The interesting name on this list could be Graeme McDowell. At 40 to 1, McDowell makes for a great play. Sure, McDowell really hasn’t played all that well of late, but he has been one of the hottest golfers on the PGA Tour over the course of the last eight months or so. Forget about that awful tournament that he had at the Arnold Palmer two weeks ago. There’s no way that he is going to be shooting an 80 in the first round here at Augusta.

The man that is really due to bust onto the scene in a big time way is Matt Kuchar. It feels like we’ve been talking about Kuchar as the “up and coming” name on the PGA Tour for over a decade, but this year’s fantastic finish at the WGC Accenture Match Play Championship really might have been just the swift kick that Kuchar needed to get going in a major tournament as well. These 30 to 1 odds could be a blessing on a terrific golfer that is ranked in the Top 10 in the world.

Youngster, Rickie Fowler still has a heck of a lot of learning to do to make it on the PGA Tour, especially in this type of an event, but at 55 to 1, we are getting a great price on a man that already has five rounds of 68 or better this season. Fowler finished in the Top 10 both at the Accenture Match Play that we were discussing previously with Kuchar, and at the WGC Cadillac Championship just a month ago. Fowler was playing relatively well at the Arnold Palmer going into the final day of the event, and he picked a terrible time to come up with his worst round of golf of the year. Even just a par day within two strokes of the leader, and the Masters odds would have definitely changed dramatically. Fowler is due for a tournament win, and this would be a heck of a venue for him to get it in.

Does anyone even realize that Robert Allenby already has over $700K banked this year in nine events played? Sure, Allenby got off to a slow start in his first two events of the year, missing the cut in both, but he hasn’t missed a cut since that point. He’s coming off of a great weekend at the Shell Houston Open last week, and he is one of the few golfers that can say that he had three rounds in the 60s in that event. Don’t be shocked if he comes on very strong and is in contention on Sunday, and at 100 to 1, that’s absolutely all that we could ask of him.

Tiger Woods returns to PGA Tour betting action on Thursday morning at Augusta National for the 2010 Masters. The odds to win the Masters are posted at JustBet Sportsbook, and here at Cappers Info, we're going to answer the question that is the hottest on the minds of sports betting fanatics everywhere. Tiger or the field?

At JustBet, you can find Woods at +420 and the field at -620.

Tiger looks great in his Green Jacket, but will he get to wear it again come Sunday night?

Let's start by stating the obvious. Tiger Woods is the best golfer in the world, and he absolutely should be the favorite to win this event regardless of whether or not he is coming off of a six month absence from the PGA Tour or not. Tiger has tamed the course at Augusta four times in his career, including by a whopping 12 shots in 1997, his first ever major victory. In total, he has 14 majors to his credit.

Those are accolades that any golfer in the history of the sport would be proud of. Inevitably, assuming that he keeps his wits about him, Woods is going to become the most decorated golfer ever, surpassing Jack Nicklaus' 18 major titles and Sam Snead's 82 PGA Tour victories, and he's going to do it in less time (and quite possibly far less time) than any other golfer ever accomplished such goals.

However, Tiger has looked more like a kitty cat at times in recent major tournaments. He missed the cut at the '09 Open Championship, and was caught from behind on the final day of the PGA Championship by little known Y.E. Yang, putting his consecutive majors without a win at *gasp!* five straight.

Now, between the injury that cost him both the Open Championship and PGA Championship in 2008 and this whole sex scandal and infidelity to his wife floating around in the media, there's every reason to believe that the almighty Tiger might not be at the top of his game.

In the words of ESPN's Lee Corso, "Not so fast, my friend."

Laying worse than 1-6 against Woods seems to be a foolish idea in basically any event. He won six of his 17 starts in 2009 coming back from that knee injury that cost him the end of the 2008 season. He has been especially solid in majors, as he has lifted the trophy in 13 of his L/25 entries.

Beyond that fact, we now have a motivated Tiger Woods on our hands. Everyone is telling the greatest golfer in the world that he can't figure out how to come back straight from a long layoff to win a major championship, particularly at Augusta. Woods still appears to be in great shape, and he's going to be one of the biggest drivers on the course at all times. That'll come in handy for the five holes of at least 500 yards that this course offers.

If you believe what he said at his Monday press conference, Woods feels like the weight of the world is off of his shoulders now that the entire world knows about his off the course escapades and that he doesn't have to worry about hiding his personal life.

This writer has never been one to stare into the eye of the Tiger. Ernie Els may have won two straight tournaments that he has entered. Phil Mickelson may have broken that major hex and has captured two Green Jackets in the past. The rest of the field may feel like it has a bit of a psychological edge on him as well.

But at the end of the day, Tiger is still the one that is feared most in this tournament, and if it comes down to a Sunday at Augusta National, it isn't going to matter how many women claim that they have slept with him or what his status is going on at home.

He's still Tiger Woods, and we're not betting against him.
