Tiger Woods (+565): We are always keeping an eye on Tiger as he tries to catch Jack Nicklaus for the most majors in the history of the sport, and this is one of the many opportunities that he is going to have. What we have seen out of Woods of late we like for sure, as he was able to win the Memorial, his second ‘W’ of the year. This is a heck of a lot different of a challenge for Woods though, as he has to go to a very difficult course against some of the best golfers in the world. When he was on his game, Tiger was the best in the world. But is he still worthy of being called “our national champion?” We just don’t really think so. This is a man to pass upon for sure.

Rory McIlroy (+1250): McIlroy really made it to the big time at the US Open last year, when he stormed through Washington DC and Congressional to take his first major championship. Unfortunately, we haven’t see a heck of a lot out of the youngster from Northern Ireland this year, and we are wondering whether we are in a position where McIlroy has become overplayed. Is 12 to 1 really good enough for us to want to bet on McIlroy? We definitely think that he can be a contender on this course, but this might be the man to bet on a day or two in the future after seeing how he comes out of the blocks on Thursday.

Bubba Watson (+5000): Watson most certainly made a name for himself earlier this year when he won the Masters in what amounted to be the biggest win of his career. This up and coming star on the links is going to be a contender again here in San Francisco we feel, as Watson just has this knack of always being in contention as the courses, the conditions, and the competition all get tougher. We aren’t so sure that Watson is going to be able to claim yet another major championship this year, but at 50 to 1, we certainly know that the US Open odds are on our side.

Nick Watney (+9500): Remember last year when we were all hopping on the Nick Watney bandwagon, as he was tearing through tournaments left and right? He turned out to be a brutal disappointment for the most part in all of these major tournaments, and last year’s US Open was no exception. That being said, this is a great price on a golfer that has a lot of potential. Don’t be all that shocked if in the end, Watney is the man that is able to stick around in this competition.
