The NFL betting slate is officially here once again! There are a two pack of games this week on the Monday Night Football Odds, and here at Cappers Info, we have all of our picks for the big games!

Week 1 NFL Matchup: New England Patriots @ Miami Dolphins
Date: Monday, September 12th, 7:00 ET
Location: Sun Life Stadium, Miami, FL
NFL Week 1 Lines: New England -7
Over/Under 45.5
Week 1 NFL TV Schedule: ESPN

Patriots Notes: The Pats might have put up 79 points in two games last year against Miami, but we have to remember that 28 of those points came directly from either the defense or special teams. It seems rather unlikely that that will be the case once again. QB Tom Brady didn’t crack the 200 yard barrier passing in either game, and a lot of that could be a testament to the Miami secondary. This year should be interesting though, with WR Chad Ochocinco aboard, as Brady probably has the most talented target that he has had since the team traded WR Randy Moss last year to the Minnesota Vikings. DT Albert Haynesworth, the other big offseason acquisition for the team, is listed as questionable with an illness, leading a list of 13 players that are officially on New England’s injury report.

Dolphins Notes: It’s hard to say that this game will truly define the season, but the possibility is definitely there for that for the Fins. They’re not likely going to end up being all that great this season, but Head Coach Tony Sparano and QB Chad Henne probably have to lead them to the playoffs for either to keep their jobs. Don’t be so certain that that will be the case. Defensively, Miami has a lot of work to do to keep the Brady Bunch out of the end zone, but the key will be improved play on special teams. RB Daniel Thomas might not play this week, which is going to leave the running game to just RB Reggie Bush and RB Larry Johnson.

The Final Word: Though this is a series in which the Dolphins have historically really been slaughtered, this game means too much for them to get blown away. Getting a TD is a ton in this league, especially for home teams. We’ll take our chances that Miami can at least stick inside of the number, though we don’t see how it can win the game.

Week 1 NFL Pick: Miami Dolphins +7

NFL Football Prediction: New England 27 – Miami 21

Week 1 NFL Matchup: Oakland Raiders @ Denver Broncos
Date: Monday, September 12th, 10:15 ET
Location: Mile High Stadium, Denver, CO
NFL Week 1 Lines: Denver -3
Over/Under 40.5
Week 1 NFL TV Schedule: ESPN

Raiders Notes: Did you know that the Raiders went a perfect 6-0 last year in division play, and that they were the only team that could say that were perfect in their own division? QB Jason Campbell has to get used to another offense this year with Head Coach Hue Jackson taking over, but that’s nothing new to him; he only seems like he switches offenses each and every single season. However, Oakland is definitely one of the up and coming teams in the league, but losing DB Nnamdi Asomugha in the offseason certainly hurt. Getting these speedy wide outs involved is going to be the key to victory this year, but the question is whether Campbell is going to be able to get the job done.

Broncos Notes: It’s a new year for the Broncos, and thank goodness! They had one of the worst defenses in the league last season, but that should all be helped out by the additions of LBs Von Miller (draft) and Elvis Dumervil (back from injury). Head Coach John Fox also brings in a new tough mentality, and he should be using that tough mental game to get the ball into the hands of RB Knowshon Moreno more often. WR Brandon Lloyd was one of the top receivers in the game last year with his connection with QB Kyle Orton, and though we don’t think that he’ll put up the same type of numbers once again this year, we do think that he has some legitimate potential.

The Final Word: It’s time for Oakland’s “reign of terror” in the AFC West to be stopped. It’s a new era of football in the Mile High City, and we tend to believe that it gets off to a good start in what will surprisingly be a pretty darn good end to Week 1 NFL football betting action.

Week 1 NFL Pick: Denver Broncos -3

NFL Football Prediction: Denver 21 -Oakland 17

NFL betting action is here again! Here at Cappers Info, we’re making our running tally of NFL picks this year, continuing with action on Sunday, September 11th!

Year To Date Record: 1-0 ATS

Upset Record: 0-0 +$0

Week 1 NFL Matchup: Pittsburgh Steelers @ Baltimore Ravens
Date: Sunday, September 11th, 1:00 ET
Location: M&T Bank Stadium, Baltimore, MD
NFL Lines: Baltimore -1
Over/Under 36
Week 1 NFL TV Schedule: CBS

The choice in this one is awfully simple. These two teams haven’t played a game separated by more than nine points in the past nine tries, and this one should be no exception. After all, the two squads are absolute mirror images of each other. Both play some of the best defense in the league, and both have capable offenses with dynamite running games and reasonable deep threats to boot. It’s not often that we try our hand at teasers, but this one is just too easy to pass up on even though it seems to be a bit contradictory. Just plan on a close game and make sure that you find a sportsbook that allows you to tease both sides of the same game together in one play.

Week 1 NFL Pick: Baltimore +6 w/ Pittsburgh +8

Week 1 NFL Matchup: Indianapolis Colts @ Houston Texans
Date: Sunday, September 11th, 1:00 ET
Location: Reliant Stadium, Houston, TX
NFL Lines: Houston -9
Over/Under 43.5
Week 1 NFL TV Schedule: CBS

Though the Texans have had a ton of hype this season, we don’t think that most realize just how good this team really is this year. Even had QB Peyton Manning been in the fold, we still would’ve laid five, six, and maybe even seven points with Houston. Adding DC Wade Phillips, DB Danieal Manning, and DB Johnathan Joseph, along with getting healthy on ‘D’ has really helped this unit out dramatically. Offensively, we know that the Texans are going to be dominating, something that we just don’t know is going to be the case with the Colts. The only reason the guests aren’t 14 point underdogs in this one is because of the names on the fronts of the jerseys. The names on the back are truly not even remotely worthy of the postseason this year.

Week 1 NFL Pick: Houston -9

Week 1 NFL Matchup: New York Giants @ Washington Redskins
Date: Sunday, September 11th, 4:15 ET
Location: FedEx Field, Landover, MD
NFL Lines: New York -3
Over/Under 38.5
Week 1 NFL TV Schedule: FOX

We’re already playing on the Redskins for one of our upsets this week, but we like the ‘over’ in this one just as much, if not more than the hosts. New York’s defense is shoddy as could be, and we tend to believe that WR Santana Moss is going to have a field day. QB Rex Grossman tends to have bright eyes for Moss, especially when he is going deep, and the Giants just don’t have the secondary to be able to keep up with him even if it is Grossman under center and not one of the elite signal callers in the league. The New York offense has the ability to score points in bunches, and QB Eli Manning probably would have been responsible for another 2-3 points per game last season had his receivers just hung onto the football. This one should easily get into the 40s.

Week 1 NFL Pick: New York/Washington Over 38.5

Week 1 NFL Matchup: Tennessee Titans @ Jacksonville Jaguars
Date: Sunday, September 11th, 1:00 ET
Location: Ever Bank Field, Jacksonville, FL
NFL Lines: Jacksonville-1
Over/Under 37.5
Week 1 NFL TV Schedule: CBS

Our final ‘total’ of the week takes us to the Sunshine State, where Jacksonville and Tennessee are probably going to be playing in a snoozer. There are two de facto backup quarterbacks that are going to be playing, as neither QB Matt Hasselbeck nor QB Luke McCown are truly amongst the best 35 quarterbacks in pro football today. That being said, we also know that RB Chris Johnson will be limited because of his lengthy holdout that took several weeks to resolve, and his backup RB Javon Ringer has been dinged up as well. These two teams only combined for 23 and 33 points in their two games last year, and we just don’t see how it is going to get any prettier than that this week.

Week 1 NFL Pick: Tennessee/Jacksonville Under 37.5

The NFL betting slate is officially here once again! The New Orleans Saints will take on the Green Bay Packers in a duel between the last two Super Bowl winners. Check out how we see this one shaking out on Thursday Night’s NFL football odds!

Week 1 NFL Matchup: New Orleans Saints @ Green Bay Packers
Date: Thursday, September 8th, 8:30 ET
Location: Lambeau Field, Green Bay, WI
College Football Lines: Packers -4
Over/Under 47.5
Week 1 NFL TV Schedule: NBC

Saints Notes: QB Drew Brees and company were embarrassed off of the field the last time we saw them against the Seattle Seahawks, and you can bet that that is something that has been sitting with this team for the entire offseason. Still, this offense has the potential to be amazing this year, especially if RB Mark Ingram ends up being that featured running back that this team has badly needed for years. The defense is still questionable though, and there was really nothing done in the offseason that makes us think that this unit is going to be any better this year than it was a season ago.

Packers Notes: It’s banner hanging night in Green Bay, and that means that Title Town is about to get yet another title banner to wave in historic Lambeau Field. QB Aaron Rodgers actually might have a better offense this year than he did a season ago thanks to the fact that TE Jermichael Finley and RB Ryan Grant are back. The defense might be taking a small step backwards, but we know that Defensive Coordinator Dom Capers isn’t letting up no matter who is on the field.

The Final Word: The Saints are good enough to win this game, but this is just too bad of a spot for them to walk into. Green Bay is 20-8-1 ATS in its last 29 games overall and is 7-2 ATS in its last nine games as a favorite. New Orleans isn’t quite catching enough points in this one. Expect to see the Pack win by a TD.
Week 1 NFL Pick: Green Bay Packers -4.5

NFL Football Prediction: Green Bay 31 -New Orleans 23

College football betting action is here again! Here at Cappers Info, we’re making our running tally of NCAA football picks this year, continuing with action on Saturday, September 3rd, the first Saturday of the CFB season!

Year To Date Record: 2-0 ATS

Week 1 College Football Matchup: Northwestern Wildcats @ Boston College Eagles
Date: Saturday, September 3rd, 12:00 ET
Location: Alumni Stadium, Chestnut Hill, MA
College Football Lines: Boston College -4
Over/Under 45
Week 1 College Football TV Schedule: ESPNU

This clash between Boston College and Northwestern is one of the few that involves a pair of legitimate AQ teams in the first week of the season. BC has all sorts of problems defensively right now, and we are wondering whether QB Dan Persa and company are going to tear this unit to shreds. This is a big, big mistake being made by the oddsmakers, as this ‘total’ is far too low, and the Wildcats are absolutely being undervalued. Persa’s offense should put at least 28 on the board in Chestnut Hill, and if that’s the case, we’re winning both of these bets.
Week 1 NCAA Football Pick: Northwestern +4 & Over 45

Week 1 College Football Matchup: BYU Cougars @ Ole Miss Rebels
Date: Saturday, September 3rd, 4:45 ET
Location: Vaught Hemingway Stadium, Oxford, MS
College Football Lines: BYU -3
Over/Under 57.5
Week 1 College Football TV Schedule: ESPN

A nice spot here for the Cougs. QB Jake Heaps really has some high expectations this year, and he gets to start off his sophomore season by taking on an Ole Miss team that is one of the worst, if not the worst in the SEC. Sure, that would generally be good enough for most teams to be called one of the worst in the SEC. However, BYU really has a great chance now that it is independent to make a name for itself outside of the MWC. Saturday’s test should be relatively stern, but it should be a test that is will be passed with flying colors.

Week 1 NCAA Football Pick: BYU -3

Week 1 College Football Matchup: San Jose State Spartans @ Stanford Cardinal
Date: Saturday, September 3rd, 5:00 ET
Location: Stanford Stadium, Palo Alto, CA
College Football Lines: Stanford -30
Over/Under 53.5
Week 1 College Football TV Schedule: Local

San Jose State has had one of the worst teams in FBS football for quite some time, and this shouldn’t be all that much of an exception. QB Andrew Luck and his offense have the ability to score points and score them in bunches, and we tend to believe that this unit can light it up with the best of them. This isn’t exactly the best. The Spartans are going to try to use the run and shoot to get up and down the field on the Cardinal, and inevitably, they will be good enough for a couple scores. If they get to double digits, this one should easily get past the ‘total’.

Week 1 NCAA Football Pick: San Jose State/Stanford Over 53.5

Week 1 College Football Matchup: Tulsa Golden Hurricane @ Oklahoma Sooners
Date: Saturday, September 3rd, 8:00 ET
Location: Oklahoma Memorial Stadium, Norman, OK
College Football Lines: Oklahoma -25
Over/Under 64.5
Week 1 College Football TV Schedule: FX

If the Sooners really are the No. 1 team in the land, this shouldn’t be a game that provides all that much trouble for them. Sure, there is a lot of hype this year around Tulsa, especially with QB GJ Kinne coming back for yet another season at the helm. However, without Head Coach Todd Graham, who is now at Pittsburgh, this could be a struggle. To make matters worse, WR Damaris Johnson, who does just about everything for this program, has been arrested on felony charges and probably will end up getting kicked off the team for his actions. Remember that Tulsa also ranked dead last in the nation last year in pass defense. QB Landry Jones and WR Ryan Broyles should both have a wild field day with this one on Saturday night.

Week 1 NCAA Football Pick: Oklahoma -25

Week 1 College Football Matchup: Arkansas State Red Wolves @ Illinois Fighting Illini
Date: Saturday, September 3rd, 3:30 ET
Location: Memorial Stadium, Champagne, IL
College Football Lines: Illinois -21
Over/Under 57.5
Week 1 College Football TV Schedule: Big Ten Network

Arkansas State has never been to a bowl game in school history, but all of that is going to change this year. The Red Wolves are legitimate contenders in the Sun Belt, and we wouldn’t be surprised to see them in the New Orleans Bowl when it’s said and done. That being said, we just don’t buy what Head Coach Ron Zook is selling us with the Illini this year. This is a middle of the road Big Ten team which was made to be a heck of a lot worse when Nebraska joined the fray. QB Ryan Aplin and the Arkansas State offense never give up, and even if the Illini end up getting in front of this three TD spread at some point, it won’t finish there. The backdoor could be wide, wide open.

Week 1 NCAA Football Pick: Arkansas State +21

Week 1 College Football Matchup: Louisiana Monroe Warhawks @ Florida State Seminoles
Date: Saturday, September 3rd, 3:30 ET
Location: Bobby Bowden Field at Doak Campbell Stadium, Tallahassee, FL
College Football Lines: Florida State -28.5
Over/Under 56
Week 1 College Football TV Schedule: ESPNU

A lot is being made out of QB Kolton Browning and the Warhawks this year, but we just aren’t so sure that they are going to be good enough to hang in there with the Seminoles when push comes to shove. Last year, ULM was crushed by Auburn and LSU by nearly 50 points apiece, and the offense was just nowhere to be found. Florida State isn’t as good as last year’s Auburn team was, but it is probably a better offensive version of last year’s Bayou Bengals. Head Coach Jimbo Fisher knows how important it is to coast through these first two games before Oklahoma comes to town, and we think that QB EJ Manuel gets some much needed confidence in his first game as the full-time starting quarterback of this club. The Noles should take this one by at least five scores.

Week 1 NCAA Football Pick: Florida State -28.5

College football betting action is here again! Here at Cappers Info, we’re making our running tally of NCAA football picks this year, starting off with action on Thursday, September 1st, the first day of the CFB season!

Week 1 College Football Matchup: UNLV Runnin’ Rebels @ Wisconsin Badgers
Date: Thursday, September 1st, 8:00 ET
Location: Camp Randall Stadium, Madison, WI
College Football Lines: Wisconsin -35.5
Over/Under 56
Week 1 College Football TV Schedule: ESPN

The Badgers are laying a whole heck of a lot of points in this one, and we just don’t think that quite that much is justified. Sure, the offense came together in a big way at the end of last season, as QB Scott Tolzien, RB John Clay, RB James White, and RB Montee Ball were absolute monsters. Two of the four are gone now, and this is the first time that QB Russell Wilson will get the ball as a member of the Badgers. Playing at Camp Randall can be intimidating, and though the Wisconsin faithful will be on Wilson’s side, it still could be a daunting task.

We understand that UNLV is relatively awful… In fact, there are no two ways around that fact. However, are they 35.5 points awful? The Rebels have played Wisconsin five times in the 2000s, losing by 20, 7, 15, 18, and 20. None of those games have been all that horrible. Sure, the Badgers know what they are doing, and they’re probably going to win this game comfortably, but knowing that 44-10 is a cover for us, we have no choice but to take the visitors and the huge point spread.

Week 1 NCAA Football Pick: UNLV Runnin’ Rebels +35.5

Week 1 College Football Matchup: Kentucky Wildcats @ Western Kentucky Hilltoppers
Date: Thursday, September 1st, 9:15 ET
Location: LP Field, Nashville, TN
College Football Lines: Kentucky -18.5
Over/Under 51
Week 1 College Football TV Schedule: ESPNU

Down the stretch last season, Western Kentucky proved to be a competent team, playing three straight one point games before losing a close call to the Troy Trojans on the road to end the campaign. Now, the team starts off this season against an SEC foe in what amounts to be a “home game” here at LP Field. RB Bobby Rainey was the leading rusher in the nation in the regular season last year, accounting for over 1,700 yards, and his running abilities really gave the defense some time off of the field. Now, the ‘D’ is going to hope to put up a stellar effort against Kentucky, a team that does typically struggle offensively.

Low scoring games became a staple for Kentucky football at the end of last year as well, as its last two games ended in just the high-30s in total points, a far cry from the 91 points these two teams combined for last season. The Cats know that they need to ramp up their defense as well, and they have the ability to keep the Hilltoppers possibly as low as single digits. With both teams being focused in on their ‘D’s at the outset of this year, we wouldn’t be shocked if this one ends up staying in the 30s or the 40s with no threat of reaching that key 51 point mark.

Week 1 NCAA Football Pick: Kentucky/Western Kentucky Under 51

BC Lions @ Montreal Alouettes Picks
Week 1 CFL Odds: Montreal -6.5
CFL Week 1 Lines: Over/Under 53

The Alouettes and the Lions are two of the few teams that are bringing back the mass majority of their cores from a year ago. And why not? BC really played well down the stretch last year, winning seven of its last 10 games before the crushing OT loss against the Riders in the first round of the playoffs. Even in losses though, this team has played well, losing three of the four games at the end of last year in OT and the other loss coming by just four points. Montreal has a potent offense though, and we tend to believe that the loss of Avon Cobourne in the offseason won’t be felt. This is a relatively short line in favor of what is absolutely the best team in the league. Free CFL Picks: Montreal -6.5

Winnipeg Blue Bombers @ Hamilton Tiger-Cats Picks
Week 1 CFL Odds: Hamilton -9
CFL Week 1 Lines: Over/Under 51.5

Is this going to be a year of correction for the Ti-Cats and Bombers? Hamilton probably was a tad lucky to finish at .500 last season, because it really only took advantage of playing in the weak East Division. Meanwhile, we have to remember that Winnipeg, even though it had an absolutely atrocious season with very few positives, lost nine games by five points or fewer last season. We know that that would be more than good enough for us in this one to take the points, but we tend to believe that this game has an upset written all over it. The Bombers will have Buck Pierce at QB to start off the season, at least for as long as he can stay healthy, and while he was under center last season, this was a very, very solid team. Remember that the Blue Bombers had the second best defense in the league a year ago as well. For certain, we want the points on our side in what could be a relatively low scoring affair where the first to 20 might win. Free CFL Picks: Winnipeg +9

Toronto Argonauts @ Calgary Stampeders Picks
Week 1 CFL Odds: Calgary -7.5
CFL Week 1 Lines: Over/Under 51

Many are insistent that Calgary is the best team in the West this year, but we just aren’t so certain. The Stamps were a statistical anomaly last season. They ranked No. 1 in the league both offensively and defensively, yet they were still knocked out of the playoffs in their one game against Saskatchewan. Plenty of changes were made and the entire secondary was gutted. It’s also only a matter of time until Henry Burris and Joffrey Reynolds run out of gas, as they are both in their 30s and clearly coming up on the tail ends of their respective careers. Toronto made it to the East Division finale last year, and Cleo Lemon has really been an improving quarterback in spite of his early struggles. This defense is only going to be getting better with time as well, and if Lemon can hang onto the football and at least string a few first downs together every now and again, the Boatmen could keep this one a lot closer than the experts expect. Free CFL Picks: Toronto +7.5

Edmonton Eskimos @ Saskatchewan Roughriders Picks
Week 1 CFL Odds: Saskatchewan -6.5
CFL Week 1 Lines: Over/Under 52

On the eve of the Fourth of July, the Eskies and Riders will do battle in what is becoming a tremendous rivalry in the West Division. Unfortunately for Edmonton, this has been all one way traffic in favor of the boys in green and white, and the truth of the matter is that nothing should really change from that standpoint this weekend either. Darian Durant is the superior quarterback in this game; Ricky Ray just doesn’t look like he really has anything left in the tank. Sure, the offense is really going to struggle at times for Saskatchewan without Rob Bagg and Andy Fantuz, both of which are now gone, but Durant is still capable of doing some absolutely amazing things. If the defense can get revved up just a bit by the crowd in the Sea of Green, this game could get awfully lopsided, awfully quickly. Don’t be shocked if the Eskimos end up getting absolutely racked in this one at the outset of what could be a very, very long season ahead. Free CFL Picks: Edmonton +6.5

I am the Gridiron Great, and I have been handicapping the NFL for a number of years. I've learned the ins and outs of what it takes to beat the bookies at this game, and I know just how difficult it can be. Do you think you can beat me at my own game? Every week that you do, you'll be entered into a grand prize drawing at the end of the season for a $1,000 Oddsmaker Sportsbook account. Even if you don't beat me though, you can still collect a $100 account from Oddsmaker just by having the most picks correct amongst Cappers Info readers.

There is no greater time to try to get into this competition than right now, as every week you beat me gives you another opportunity at that big cash prize at the end of the year. Let's get started right now with my Week 1 picks…

Carolina Panthers @ New York Giants (-7): The G-Men are laying a tuddy in this game, but I'm not afraid to do so. The way you beat the G-Men is by throwing all over their questionable secondary, not trying to run at them. Who is this Matt Moore guy anyway? Gimme a break, Carolina. I'm not buying what you're selling this year. Gimme the Giants -7 on Sunday.

Miami Dolphins (-3) @ Buffalo Bills: The Fins are going to want to get off to a good start this year to prove that they are worthy of all of this hype as the upstart team in the conference. Buffalo might be the worst team in the whole league. I hate laying points on the road, especially in Week 1, but I have no choice this week. Miami -3 for me.

Atlanta Falcons @ Pittsburgh Steelers (+2): I don't know about you, but I trust this Dennis Dixon kid. Sometimes a quarterback just knows how to be a winner. Hell, Vince Young has made a career out of putting up lousy numbers but finding ways to win games. Pittsburgh's defense is healthy again, and as long as that's the case, I'm taking the boys in black and gold at home every time as underdogs. Pittsburgh +2 is my choice.

Detroit Lions (+6.5) @ Chicago Bears: The books clearly aren't as smart as I am with this one. Public perception is going to be all over the Bears, as the lowly Lions couldn't possibly win a road game in division, right? Think again. All Detroit has in this game is the better quarterback, the better running game, and the better crop of receivers, to go with the best defensive lineman on the field. That's right, Julius Peppers. I just called you out. I'm taking Detroit +6.5, though I don't think the Lions are going to need the points.

Cincinnati Bengals @ New England Patriots (-4.5): This one's easy. How is Cincinnati scoring enough points to keep up with the Pats when all it has on the field on offense is a sideshow that is far more interested in talking about Twitter than winning games. Two months from now, the Bungals would be two tuddy dogs in this one… at least. I'm stealing New England -4.5.

Cleveland Browns (+2.5) @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Both of these teams played well down the stretch last season, but that doesn't mean that they're going to start that way. It's so hard saying, "In Jake I trust," as I hate Jake Delhomme with a passion… but I'm not laying points with Josh Freeman or anyone else that the Bucs are throwing out there. By default, I guess I'll take Cleveland +2.5

Denver Broncos (+2.5) @ Jacksonville Jaguars: It's a de facto road game for the Jags, as there will clearly be more blue and orange No. 15 jerseys in the stands than there will be teal and black. Who knows if Timmy Tebow is really going to make an appearance in this one or not, but one thing is for sure, and that's that the Jags are a real mess this year. Here's hoping that Denver is at least 2.5 points less of a train wreck. Denver +2.5

Indianapolis Colts @ Houston Texans (-2.5): I don't put much stock in the preseason, but something is really wrong with the Indy defense. Forty points per game? C'mon guys, you should be doing better than that. The recipe is ripe for the upset, as Houston has to be tired of getting pushed around by the behemoths of the South. I'm taking Houston +2.5.

Oakland Raiders (+6.5) @ Tennessee Titans: Remember what I said about VY just finding ways to win games? I didn't say that he just finds ways to cover spreads (though it certainly felt that way at Texas). The new look Raiders might hang in this one. Going to the bank with Oakland +6.5 on Sunday.

Green Bay Packers @ Philadelphia Eagles (+3): I don't know why everyone is down on the Eagles this year. Sure, Kevin Kolb probably isn't Donovan McNabb, but the kid is capable of throwing for three bills on this defense for sure. Green Bay is trendy, and trendy teams tend to get killed by the books on a regular basis. You won't trap me, that's for sure. Philadelphia +3.

San Francisco 49ers @ Seattle Seahawks (+3): There's no way that the 49ers are really capable of being road favorites in division yet. I'll believe it when I see it. This is my "Alex Smith is a favorite on the road" alert. Qwest Field is still a nightmare to play at, even if the Seahawks are atrocious. Gimme Seattle +3.

Arizona Cardinals @ St. Louis Rams (+3.5): Alright kid, whatcha got? Sam Bradford makes his first start of his NFL career on Sunday, and it could be a memorable one. The Rams might not be stockpiled with talent, but it's not like Arizona is all bulked up either. Derek Anderson is your answer to replacing Kurt Warner? He couldn't even put away pretty boy Brady Quinn in Cleveland for crying out loud. By default, I'll go with St. Louis +3.5.

Dallas Cowboys (-3.5) @ Washington Redskins: Remember to make your tiebreaker pick on this game! The Skins might have a new coach and a new quarterback, but they're still a joke. Name me three other guys on this starting offense. Yeah, that's right. You can't do it. Dallas is stacked and should be able to run up enough points to take this lousy team down. Dallas -3.5 is the SNF selection.
