Week 13 of the 2012 AFL season is upon us, and here at Cappers Info, we are taking a look at all of the games that are on the AFL betting lines and making our Arena Football predictions for the week ahead!

Week 13 AFL Matchup: Cleveland Gladiators @ Iowa Barnstormers
Date: Friday, June 1st, 8:00 ET
Arena Football Week 13 Odds: Iowa -1 (105)

Iowa’s season is probably said and done with after losing last week at home to Spokane. The truth of the matter is that Cleveland probably has a better team than do the Shock, and that could bode well for the guests. The Barnstormers just haven’t played all that well at home, and they have now had back-to-back terrible offensive games. The defense for the Glads should be good enough to get the job done, even on the road. Remember that Cleveland has done really, really well this year on the road, winning games in some of the toughest venues in the league.

AFL Week 13 Pick: Cleveland Gladiators +1

Week 13 AFL Matchup: Tampa Bay Storm @ Jacksonville Sharks
Date: Saturday, June 2nd, 7:00 ET
Arena Football Week 13 Odds: Jacksonville -3.5 (99)

The Sharks are back to .500, and they could take the lead in the Southern Division if they can win this game. Tampa Bay has kept its perfect record intact… It is 6-0 at home and 0-5 on the road. Can QB Steve Wasil get the job done? It just doesn’t seem all that likely that he does, but if he doesn’t, the Storm could be bringing in QB Nick Hill, who was originally signed to be the team’s starting quarterback. Take the points with Tampa Bay, just knowing that if Hill comes in, the Storm are going to have the big time advantage.

AFL Week 13 Pick: Tampa Bay Storm +3.5

Week 13 AFL Matchup: Orlando Predators @ Philadelphia Soul
Date: Saturday, June 2nd, 7:00 ET
Arena Football Week 13 Odds: Philadelphia -23.5 (106)

These two teams met a few weeks ago in Orlando, and the Predators went from up 47-27 failing to cover +13.5 on the AFL point spreads. Now, the team has to go on the road, where it has already blown a pair of 20+ point leads this year as well. The Soul have been suspect at home this year though, and the team often finds ways to blow games. Could Orlando pull off the upset? Of course not. But are the Predators good enough to stick inside of a 23.5 point spread? Surely.

AFL Week 13 Pick: Orlando Predators +23.5

Week 13 AFL Matchup: New Orleans VooDoo @ Georgia Force
Date: Saturday, June 2nd, 7:00 ET
Arena Football Week 13 Odds: Georgia -2 (101)

QB RJ Archer has been in the lineup, out of the lineup, in the lineup, and out of the lineup over the course of the last four games, but he is back now. Does it make that much of a difference, though? We just don’t think so. The VooDoo have been massive underachievers this year, but this is a chance to make amends on the road against a Georgia team that, quite frankly, really does feel like it set to fall apart and fall right out of the playoffs picture altogether.

AFL Week 13 Pick: New Orleans VooDoo +2

Week 13 AFL Matchup: Utah Blaze @ Kansas City Command
Date: Saturday, June 2nd, 8:00 ET
Arena Football Week 13 Odds: Utah -10.5 (107)

The Blaze have an absolutely atrocious defense, but their offense is still top of the line. QB Tommy Grady already has 87 TD passes this year, and he is destined to get back on track at some clutch point during a game. The good news is that that moment shouldn’t exist this time around, though. The Command have won two in a row, but we just don’t think that they have beaten a good team yet. This is a get better game for Utah for sure, and though we hate laying double digits on the road, we feel as though we have no choice. The Blaze will get to 55. The Command haven’t gotten to 50 in almost a full calendar year.

AFL Week 13 Pick: Utah Blaze -10.5

Week 13 AFL Matchup: San Jose SaberCats @ Milwaukee Mustangs
Date: Saturday, June 2nd, 8:00 ET
Arena Football Week 13 Odds: San Jose -6.5 (125)

We really feel bad for the Mustangs once again in this one. They are a heck of a lot better than their 3-7 record suggests, but they’re in just a terrible spot again on Saturday night. OL Adam Tadisch is out of the fold for the first time, and the offensive line was atrocious against Tampa Bay after he was out of the lineup, and the receiving corps was beat up badly in that game as well. On top of that, San Jose is going to be playing on emotion. FB Johnie Kirton died after last week’s game, and you know that the team is going to want to be great on the night that all of the players will be wearing a No. 37 in his honor. Lay the points.

AFL Week 13 Pick: San Jose SaberCats -6.5

Week 13 AFL Matchup: Pittsburgh Power @ Arizona Rattlers
Date: Saturday, June 2nd, 10:00 ET
Arena Football Week 13 Odds: Arizona -24 (114)

The Rattlers are the biggest favorites in the history of the AFL at 24 points, and there is definitely something to be said about this. Pittsburgh is the worst team in the league in our eyes, and matters are so bad that it had to fire Head Coach Chris Siegfried just before the team’s bye week. We definitely question what new OC Mike Tomczak can bring to the table, knowing that he has never had a thing to do with the AFL, but he is going to have QB Andrico Hines back, who might start in the desert on Saturday night. In the end, there just isn’t a team in the league that should be laying more than three touchdowns to any other team, and we think that new HC Derek Stingley could get a good effort out of his boys on Saturday to at least stick within a few scores.

AFL Week 13 Pick: Pittsburgh Power +24

Week 13 AFL Matchup: Spokane Shock @ Chicago Rush
Date: Sunday, June 3rd, 4:00 ET
Arena Football Week 13 Odds: Chicago -1 (125)

Spokane and Chicago are both fighting for the playoffs in the National Conference. The Shock have been the better team of late, getting the job done against some great teams all over the country. We still think that there is something really wrong with Chicago, but in the end, we think that it will figure out how to win this game at home. There is just too much on the line right now for the Rush, who are quickly starting to fall apart. They were good enough to win on the road last week at San Jose but got ridiculously unlucky, and if that’s the case, they should be good enough to beat the Shock at home on Sunday.

AFL Week 13 Pick: Chicago Rush -1

A pair of teams that are going nowhere this season meet up in the Sunshine State on Monday Night Football, and we are set to make our Jacksonville Jaguars vs. San Diego Chargers picks.

Year To Date Record: 38-46 ATS
Upset Record: 10-22, -$1,120

Week 13 NFL Matchup: San Diego Chargers @ Jacksonville Jaguars
Date: Monday, December 5th, 8:30 ET
Location: Ever Bank Field, Jacksonville, FL
NFL Week 13 Lines: San Diego -3
Over/Under 38.5
Week 13 NFL TV Schedule: ESPN

Chargers Notes: The Chargers now know that they are playing for a lame duck coach, as Head Coach Philip Rivers will be let go at the end of the season. Playoff hopes will almost certainly be gone if this game is lost, though there really isn’t a heck of a lot of hope at this point, as the Bolts are three back with five to play. QB Philip Rivers has drawn the ire of a number of Bolts fans this year, as he still has more INTs (17) than TDs (16) in spite of the fact that he has some fantastic weapons like TE Antonio Gates and WR Vincent Jackson. The defense has put up some respectable numbers, but the unit has fallen apart down the stretch of games during this losing streak, just as it did last week against the completely one-dimensional offense of the Denver Broncos.

Jaguars Notes: To show the difference of these two teams, the Jags have already canned Head Coach Jack Del Rio, and they are going to led by the interim coach, Mel Tucker in his first game in control of a team. What we know we’re getting out of Jacksonville is a decent defense and an offense that runs the ball a ton. This ‘D’ is one of the few units in the game that is holding teams under 20 points per game. The problem comes under center, where neither QB Blaine Gabbert nor QB Luke McCown has really been even remotely competent. Meanwhile, RB Maurice Jones-Drew has had 10 games out of 11 this year with at least 80 yards on the ground. However, aside from him, there really aren’t any players on this offense that are even remotely worth noting.

The Final Word: The home team has won all four games both SU and ATS in this series in Jacksonville’s history, and we just aren’t too keen about how much oomph the Chargers are really going to put into this one, knowing that their season is over and that they are playing for a coach that has already lost his job. The Jags meanwhile, have a new coach and a new owner to be, and they are going to want to make a great impression in front of their hometown crowd, where they have already won one Monday Night Football duel this year against a supposedly superior team.

Week 13 NFL Pick: Jacksonville ml (+160)

NFL Football Prediction: Jacksonville 20 – San Diego 16

Playoff hopes are on the line for a pair of teams that are still in the postseason picture in the crowded AFC on Sunday Night Football.

Year To Date Record: 38-46 ATS
Upset Record: 10-22, -$1,120

Week 13 NFL Matchup: Detroit Lions @ New Orleans Saints
Date: Sunday, December 4th, 8:25 ET
Location: Louisiana Superdome, New Orleans, LA
NFL Week 13 Lines: New Orleans -9
Over/Under 53.5
Week 13 NFL TV Schedule: NBC

Lions Notes: It’s going to be a long day for this Detroit defense. Save for a game against the Denver Broncos, this unit has been pitiful at best over the course of the last few weeks. It played well against the Green Bay Packers for a quarter or so on Thanksgiving, but once DT Ndamukong Suh was ejected from that game, the floodgates opened. Suh has been suspended for this one, and the question is going to be whether there is going to be a pass rush at all in this game without him. Whether there is or isn’t, QB Matt Stafford is going to have his work cut out for him. WR Calvin Johnson has been relatively quiet over the course of the last few weeks, and he really needs to bust out against a New Orleans defense which, at times has been suspect this season.

Saints Notes: The Saints have scored at least 30 points in all but one of their home games this year, and over the course of their last three at home, they have dropped 49 points on the New York Giants and 62 on the Indianapolis Colts. QB Drew Brees needs 317 passing yards to reach 4,000 on the season, and he almost seems like a lock to get that done, knowing that he has averaged right around that point this year at home. Defensively, New Orleans has struggled just a bit, and last week, it allowed 400 passing yards to QB Eli Manning and the New York Giants. Still, competing with this team and all of its weapons offensively is ridiculously difficult.

The Final Word: It seems like a given that virtually every New Orleans game will go past the number and that the Saints will cover. We just don’t see any other result than that happening though, as the hosts are just too good offensively against all of the problems that the Lions have defensively to be stopped.

Week 13 NFL Pick: New Orleans -9 and Over 53.5

NFL Football Prediction: New Orleans 41 – Detroit 27

NFL betting action is here again! Here at Cappers Info, we’re making our running tally of NFL picks this year, continuing with action on Sunday, December 4th!

Year To Date Record: 38-46 ATS
Upset Record: 10-22, -$1,120

Week 13 NFL Matchup: Kansas City Chiefs @ Chicago Bears
Date: Sunday, December 4th, 1:00 ET
Location: Soldier Field, Chicago, IL
NFL Lines: Chicago -7
Over/Under 37.5
Week 13 NFL TV Schedule: CBS

We made mention in our NFL upsets the fact that the Kansas City defense has had its moments of playing better football of late, and we are standing by that. We know that the Bears play remarkable defense at home, and that shouldn’t be an exception on Sunday, especially with whatever combination of QB Tyler Palko and QB Kyle Orton that Head Coach Todd Haley wants to throw their way. QB Caleb Hanie still looks lost, and we don’t think that he really has the ability to put more than 20 on the board in a game like this unless RB Matt Forte goes absolutely bonkers. Even then, with as bad as the KC offense has been, we’ll take our chances with the ‘under’.

Week 13 NFL Pick: Kansas City/Chicago Under 37.5

Week 13 NFL Matchup: Oakland Raiders @ Miami Dolphins
Date: Sunday, December 4th, 1:00 ET
Location: Sun Life Stadium, Miami Gardens, FL
NFL Lines: Miami -3
Over/Under 43
Week 13 NFL TV Schedule: CBS

The Dolphins have gone from a total zero to a team that is now favored by a field goal against a division leader. Miami won’t make the playoffs this year, but the team is playing well. Of course, the Raiders have put together a great string of games with QB Carson Palmer calling the shots, but we definitely have some concerns. WR Darrius Heyward-Bey has basically been nowhere to be found at times, and both WR Denarius Moore and WR Jacoby Ford are out with injuries. RB Darren McFadden will be sidelined as well, and the backup to RB Michael Bush, RB Taiwan Jones is down in this one to boot. There just aren’t enough offensive weapons for Raider Nation to come clear across the country in one of their longest road trips of the season and to pull out a victory. Lay the field goal.

Week 13 NFL Pick: Miami -3

Week 13 NFL Matchup: Atlanta Falcons @ Houston Texans
Date: Sunday, December 4th, 1:00 ET
Location: Reliant Stadium, Houston, TX
NFL Lines: Atlanta -3
Over/Under 38
Week 13 NFL TV Schedule: FOX

Let’s be realistic for just a second about the Texans. We know that QB TJ Yates has been forced into battle in this one with both of the quarterbacking Matt’s in front of him on the depth chart out of the fold. We also know that he didn’t score a single point in the second half against the Jaguars last week, and now he has to contend with an Atlanta team that is every bit as good as its 7-4 record suggests. However, there is nothing wrong with the Houston ground game, as both RBs Arian Foster and Ben Tate will surely get at least 40 touches between them, and the defense has no new problems either. The Falcons are banged up defensively and could have some real problems contending with this rushing attack, though they are only allowing 4.0 YPC for the season. The Texans have only been beaten once this year at home, and we aren’t sold that that number is going to change this week. Take the points in what should be an awfully close game.

Week 13 NFL Pick: Houston +3

Week 13 NFL Matchup: Indianapolis Colts @ New England Patriots
Date: Sunday, December 4th, 1:00 ET
Location: Gillette Stadium, Foxboro, MA
NFL Lines: New England -20.5
Over/Under 47.5
Week 13 NFL TV Schedule: CBS

Remember back a few months ago when everyone thought that this game was actually going to be good? No mas. The Colts are a train wreck, but they are at least going to have something to fall back onto this week in the form of QB Dan Orlovsky. The former UConn Husky is going to become the third different starting quarterback not named QB Peyton Manning to start a game this year, and he has the dubious task of playing against the Pats in Foxboro for his first test. That being said, New England is going to get its points, especially since this Indy defense is allowing right around 30 per game against average teams. However, we have seen at least a little bit of spunk in the Colts of late. They had the ball with a shot to tie the Carolina Panthers last week, and they were at least competent against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Sure, this team only had one road game decided by less than 10 points all season long, but we need to stick within 20, not 10. We’re more hoping than anything else, but we do think that getting 20.5 is just too much in any NFL game, especially since this New England defense has looked vulnerable. We’ll hedge our bets with the dogs and the ‘over’.

Week 13 NFL Pick: Indianapolis +20.5 and Over 47.5

NFL betting action in wacky and wild Week 13 gets started on Thursday night in a do or die for both teams. The Seattle Seahawks and Philadelphia Eagles will battle it out at CenturyLink Field to try to keep their respective seasons alive.

Year To Date Record: 37-46 ATS
Upset Record: 10-22, -$1,120

Week 13 NFL Matchup: Philadelphia Eagles @ Seattle Seahawks
Date: Thursday, December 1st, 8:20 ET
Location: CenturyLink Field, Seattle, WA
NFL Lines: Philadelphia -3
Over/Under 43
Week 13 NFL TV Schedule: NFL Network

Eagles Notes: There is a legitimate possibility that this could be the last time that Head Coach Andy Reid, the longest tenured coach in the league, is on the sidelines with the Eagles. There is a growing sentiment in the City of Brotherly Love that is calling for Reid to be given his pink slip. As long as there is still a chance to make the playoffs, Reid is probably safe, but in the event that Philly gets eliminated, it is anyone’s guess how long he has before getting the hook. There is some real trouble in this game with both WR Jeremy Maclin and QB Michael Vick on the sidelines. The good news is that QB Vince Young has put up some decent numbers in his two starts, including throwing for 400 yards last week in a loss against the New England Patriots. The truth of the matter though, is that this team only goes as far as its defense takes it. This unit is allowing 22.8 points per game this year, but things just aren’t panning out for what many thought was going to be a fantastic unit.

Seahawks Notes: The Seahawks continue to shoot themselves in the foot. They are a 4-7 team that has lost a slew of games that it had a real shot in during the fourth quarter. Last week was yet another one of these games in which Seattle managed to snap defeat from the jaws of victory against the Washington Redskins. This offense is definitely a work in progress, as QB Tarvaris Jackson just isn’t cutting it, while the defense is allowing over 340 yards and 21.1 points per game. Against an offense that is putting up over 400 yards per game has to be a scary situation. WR Sidney Rice was put on IR on Wednesday, and that really takes away the most dynamic player on this offense. The only hope is really if can get a good game out of WR Marshawn Lynch, who has shown the ability to put together 100+ yard performances on the ground.

The Final Word: These two teams are just dreadfully underachievers, but one of them is going to have to win. In the end, we just don’t trust the hype around this Philly team, knowing that both its starting quarterback and one of its two best receivers. On top of that, WR DeSean Jackson was benched in the fourth quarter and seems disgruntled. It’s just not a good recipe for Philly.

Week 13 NFL Pick: Seattle Seahawks +3

NFL Football Prediction: Seattle 22 – Philadelphia 17

College football betting action is here again! Here at Cappers Info, we’re making our running tally of NCAA football picks this year, continuing with action on Saturday, November 26th!

Year To Date Record: 74-74 ATS
Upset Record: 19-31 +$985

Week 13 College Football Matchup: Ohio State Buckeyes @ Michigan Wolverines
Date: Saturday, November 26th, 12:00 ET
Location: Michigan Stadium, Ann Arbor, MI
College Football Lines: Michigan -7.5
Over/Under 44.5
Week 13 College Football TV Schedule: ABC

Oh Michigan, how we love to fade thee this time of year… Big Blue probably knows that it can get on its BCS dancing shoes with a win in this one, and you would like to think that that would be enough motivation to get the job done against a lame set of Buckeyes that really underachieved this season. However, we know that this was a year ravished by off the field issues for OSU, and a win in this game would make an otherwise dismal season seem like it has a light at the end of the tunnel. These rivalry games are always close (remember that theme as we go forward with the rest of our college football picks), and we tend to think that this one stays within a touchdown one way or the other.

Week 13 NCAA Football Pick: Ohio State +7.5

Week 13 College Football Matchup: Missouri Tigers vs. Kansas Jayhawks
Date: Saturday, November 26th, 3:30 ET
Location: Arrowhead Stadium, Kansas City, MO
College Football Lines: Missouri -25.5
Over/Under 60
Week 13 College Football TV Schedule: FSN

Same concept, but not quite the same play in this game. We do think that Kansas wants to stick close in the “Border War,” as it has had a dismal season as well without much to look forward to. The Tigers have been known for their defensive power over the course of the last few weeks, but we do think that Head Coach Turner Gill and his Jayhawks have a few tricks up their sleeve that could generate a few TDs in this one. That being said, the Kansas defense is just simply atrocious. There’s no way that the Tigers aren’t scoring at least 40 in this one, and if that’s the case and the Jayhawks can get just a tad bit of offense going, this could end up being a game that goes flying past the number.

Week 13 NCAA Football Pick: Missouri/Kansas Over 60

Week 13 College Football Matchup: Georgia Bulldogs @ Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets
Date: Saturday, November 26th, 12:00 ET
Location: Bobby Dodd Stadium, Atlanta, GA
College Football Lines: Georgia -6
Over/Under 55
Week 13 College Football TV Schedule: ESPN

Another rivalry game where the results often defy what you would figure as logical. Georgia is clearly one of the hottest teams in the country, and laying six seems like a reasonable number, even on the road against a solid ACC club. However, the underdogs in this game tend to do quite well, and it feels as though if one of these two teams has a conference title game to play the very next week, they check out of this one. That being said, Georgia would much rather take down Alabama, Arkansas, or LSU than worry about Georgia Tech, while the Jackets are trying to make one last gasp as a potential three loss BCS team, or at least make their way a bit up the ACC bowl ladder. Take the points in this rivalry game and hope for a close encounter.

Week 13 NCAA Football Pick: Georgia Tech +6

Week 13 College Football Matchup: Tennessee Volunteers @ Kentucky Wildcats
Date: Saturday, November 26th, 12:20 ET
Location: Commonwealth Stadium, Lexington, KY
College Football Lines: Tennessee -7
Over/Under 43.5
Week 13 College Football TV Schedule: SEC Network

The Volunteers and Wildcats probably hate each other a heck of a lot more than most realize. UT needed a pick six in OT to take care of Vandy at home last week just to be in a spot to think about bowl eligibility this week, while Kentucky lost out on its chance with a competitive 19-10 loss Between the Hedges last week in Athens against Georgia. UK’s offense ranks No. 118 in America, so you’d like to think that Tennessee, now that it has QB Tyler Bray back under center, will be able to rack up enough points to easily be able to win by a touchdown… right…? Not so fast, my friends… We think that UT will win it, but it will need to give everything that it has to be able to take this game down.

Week 13 NCAA Football Pick: Kentucky +7

Week 13 College Football Matchup: Alabama Crimson Tide @ Auburn Tigers
Date: Saturday, November 26th, 3:30 ET
Location: Jordan Hare Stadium, Auburn, AL
College Football Lines: Alabama -21
Over/Under 47.5
Week 13 College Football TV Schedule: CBS

We’re going to defy our own logical in this one. Theoretically, catching three TDs in a rivalry game is a heck of a lot of points, and we don’t disagree. However, in this case, Alabama is just head and shoulders the better team in the game. Remember that the Tide raced out to a big lead last year against a significantly better Auburn team before watching it all dwindle away in the second half. The Crimson Tide are at least 21 points better than the Tigers are on the average day, and it should really show on Saturday afternoon. Alabama has a long, long memory for not just last year’s failure in the Iron Bowl, but in Iron Bowls of the past as well. A Tiger team that has overachieved all season long will get a harsh reminder on the final day of the regular season why they were challenged at home by Utah State and Mississippi State in its first two games of the season when the Tide roll into town and roll out with a 30+ point victory.

Week 13 NCAA Football Pick: Alabama -21

Week 13 College Football Matchup: Florida State Seminoles @ Florida Gators
Date: Saturday, November 26th, 7:00 ET
Location: Ben Hill Griffin Stadium, Gainesville, FL
College Football Lines: Florida State -2.5
Over/Under 45.5
Week 13 College Football TV Schedule: ESPN

This is as little as an FSU/UF game has meant in decades, as neither one of these teams really has all that much to play for. However, the Noles were able to win over Florida for the first time in eons last year, and they want to keep this winning streak going. The Gators have struggled mightily against everyone that they have run up against since starting off the year at 4-0, including falling behind the Furman Paladins 22-7 last week. That’s right. Those Furman Paladins. Florida State was beaten by a severely underrated Virginia team last week at home, but that isn’t how it wants to end its season. FSU has significantly more talent on it than the Gators do, and it’ll show in the Swamp with a TD victory on Saturday.

Week 13 NCAA Football Pick: Florida State -2.5

Week 13 College Football Matchup: Mississippi Rebels @ Mississippi State Bulldogs
Date: Saturday, November 26th, 7:00 ET
Location: Davis Wade Stadium, Starkville, MS
College Football Lines: Mississippi State -17
Over/Under 46.5
Week 13 College Football TV Schedule: ESPN2

Mississippi State is going to be at home against an instate rival with a chance to go bowling, and that instate rival happens to perhaps be the worst team of all of the AQ schools in the country. Seems easy to want to lay the 17, right? One would figure if the Dogs made it to 21, they’d be fine… but we’re not all that sure. Remember that the Egg Bowl is a game that is traditionally awfully close, and though the Rebs have been down for quite some time, they have the ability to compete in this one. All of the pressure is on MSU to win to become bowl eligible. Ole Miss would love to be able to spoil this to at least leave somewhat of a decent taste in the mouths of the fans in Oxford in the final game of the Houston Nutt era. Take the points in what could be a really competitive game.

Week 13 NCAA Football Pick: Mississippi +17

Week 13 College Football Matchup: UCLA Bruins @ USC Trojans
Date: Saturday, November 26th, 10:00 ET
Location: Los Angeles Coliseum, Los Angeles, CA
College Football Lines: USC -16
Over/Under 58.5
Week 13 College Football TV Schedule: FSN

The battle in Tinseltown is one that has been dominated by the Trojans for a number of years. However, UCLA can still play for the Pac-12 Championship, and a win in this game would give it an outright league title that isn’t marred by the fact that USC is ineligible for the postseason. The Trojans won their big time game last week when they were able to go on the road and take down the Ducks in Autzen. Are they going to be as focused against the Bruins? We tend to believe not. UCLA has played a lot better football over the course of the last month, and Head Coach Rick Neuheisel might need to win this game to not just make the conference title game, but to live up to his decree that the gap is closing between the Trojans and Bruins… oh, and he probably gets fired if his team loses this one and whatever bowl game it ends up in.

Week 13 NCAA Football Pick: UCLA +16

College football betting action is here again! Here at Cappers Info, we’re making our running tally of NCAA football picks this year, continuing with action on Friday, November 25th!

Year To Date Record: 74-73 ATS
Upset Record: 19-31 +$985

Week 13 College Football Matchup: Louisville Cardinals @ South Florida Bulls
Date: Friday, November 25th, 11:00 ET
Location: Raymond James Stadium, Tampa Bay, FL
College Football Lines: South Florida -3.5
Over/Under 43.5
Week 13 College Football TV Schedule: ESPN2

Louisville has been known to play in some absolutely brutal games this year, and that’s exactly what Head Coach Charlie Strong is looking for. His defense has been out of this world for the most part in Big East play, and we don’t think that this will be much of an exception. QB BJ Daniels shouldn’t play on Friday, and if he does, it will be injured at that. The Bulls haven’t looked like a good team in well over a month, and we don’t see how they are going to find their way into the 20s in scoring. That being said, Louisville probably isn’t going to be doing all that much better than about 20 as well. Play on the ‘under’, knowing that this could be the ugliest game of the day.

Week 13 NCAA Football Pick: Louisville/South Florida Under 43.5

Week 13 College Football Matchup: Houston Cougars @ Tulsa Golden Hurricane
Date: Friday, November 25th, 12:00 ET
Location: Skelly Field at H.A. Chapman Stadium, Tulsa, OK
College Football Lines: Houston -3

Week 13 College Football TV Schedule: FSN

The Cougs need to be very, very careful in this game, and they know it. Tulsa has only lost three games this year, to Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, and Boise State, all of which may legitimately be in the best 10 teams in the country. Though Houston is ranked higher than all but one of those teams, we just don’t see how the Cougars are that much better than any of those teams. The Golden Hurricane have come on strong in Conference USA play, and quite frankly, we are shocked that they aren’t favored in this game. This is a duel between two very evenly matched teams. Houston might get out of town with a victory, but we think that Tulsa has every bit as good of a chance. We’re going to take the points for safety, but we do think that the Golden Hurricane are winning this game outright more often than not.

Week 13 NCAA Football Pick: Tulsa +3

Week 13 College Football Matchup: Pittsburgh Panthers @ West Virginia Mountaineers
Date: Friday, November 25th, 7:00 ET
Location: Mountaineer Field, Morgantown, WV
College Football Lines: West Virginia -7
Over/Under 57
Week 13 College Football TV Schedule: ESPN

The Backyard Brawl has produced some awfully inconsistent results for years and years, and the Big East has been producing head scratching results all season long. This really might not be all that much of an exception. The Panthers badly need to find another win somewhere along the way to make it to a bowl game this year, and WVU has already proven that it has the ability to lose games at home. Just when the ‘Neers figured that they were going to be back in the Big East chase, they could get knocked right back out of it this weekend. Again, take the points for safety, but we think that there is a plausible chance that U-Pitt becomes bowl eligible on Friday.

Week 13 NCAA Football Pick: Pittsburgh +7

Week 13 College Football Matchup: Arkansas Razorbacks @ LSU Tigers
Date: Friday, November 25th, 2:30 ET
Location: Tiger Stadium, Baton Rouge, LA
College Football Lines: LSU -11.5
Over/Under 52.5
Week 13 College Football TV Schedule: CBS

BCS haters are just praying that the Hogs can come into Baton Rouge and pull off the upset. The truth of the matter is that we have seen a whole heck of a lot stranger this fixture. However, this year, we just aren’t sold that the No. 3 team in the land is going to be able to hang around with what, in our eyes, is clearly the best team in the country. Somehow, some way, Head Coach Les Miles just keeps getting the job done, and his offense keeps finding ways to drop 30+ on virtually all of its foes. The defense is a totally different beast playing here at Tiger Stadium, and the unit was phenomenal on the road this year as well. The Hogs just haven’t seen this type of game yet this year, even when they played Alabama. We’ll lay the double digits, as LSU emphatically proclaims itself as the undisputed SEC West champs.

Week 13 NCAA Football Pick: LSU -11.5

Week 13 College Football Matchup: Boston College Eagles @ Miami Hurricanes
Date: Friday, November 25th, 3:30 ET
Location: Sun Life Stadium, Miami, FL
College Football Lines: Miami -14
Over/Under 44.5
Week 13 College Football TV Schedule: ABC

If you’re a fan of pretty, up and down the field football, this isn’t going to be the game for you. Perhaps in a different situation we would think that the Canes would be the team to back laying just two touchdowns, but we have a sneaking feeling that the Eagles are going to hang in this one. Miami has to be demoralized that it isn’t going to a bowl game once this one is over, and Boston College has been playing better ball of late. The feeling at “The U” right now has to be low, and asking a team to come out like that and win a totally meaningless game by more than two scores is just too much to ask.

Week 13 NCAA Football Pick: Boston College +14

We have a traditional Lone Star State shootout on our hands on Thanksgiving Day, and you can bet that there won’t be any pleasantries exchanged when the Texas Longhorns and the Texas A&M Aggies meet each other, quite possibly for the final time on the gridiron.

Year To Date Record: 74-73 ATS
Upset Record: 19-31 +$985

Week 13 College Football Matchup: Texas Longhorns @ Texas A&M Aggies
Date: Thursday, November 24th, 8:00 ET
Location: Kyle Field, College Station, TX
College Football Lines: Texas A&M -8
Over/Under 54
Week 13 College Football TV Schedule: ESPN

The Aggies probably don’t totally see what is coming right now, as the rest of the Big XII is rooting for Texas to absolutely pummel them into submission when push comes to shove. Texas A&M is leaving the conference for the green pastures of the SEC West, and the Longhorns and the rest of the conference are irate about it.

This one is incredibly important, as both teams have just six wins on the year. Both are going bowling, but there is a big difference between finishing up the year with seven (or in the case of Texas, potentially eight) wins and a bid to perhaps as high as the Cotton Bowl and a 6-6 season that ends in the Pinstripe Bowl.

Texas’ offense has really struggled over the course of these last two weeks, scoring just 18 points in two losses. The Aggies have scored 111 in those same two weeks though, and the defense finally got back on track in last week’s 61-7 win over the Kansas Jayhawks after allowing at least 38 in three straight games. Remember that A&M only lost to Oklahoma State by one, Arkansas by four, Missouri by seven in OT, and Kansas State by three in OT. The Aggies will come out with guns blazing in this one and put down the Longhorns one final time in this series.

Week 13 NCAA Football Pick: Texas A&M -8

Rivals from the MAC East duke it out in the final game for both in the regular season. We’re set to make our NCAA football picks in the clash between the East Division champs, the Ohio Bobcats and the Miami Redhawks.

Year To Date Record: 73-73 ATS
Upset Record: 19-31 +$985

Week 13 College Football Matchup: Miami Ohio Redhawks @ Ohio Bobcats
Date: Tuesday, November 22nd, 8:00 ET
Location: Peden Stadium, Athens, OH
College Football Lines: Ohio -9
Over/Under 53
Week 13 College Football TV Schedule: ESPN2

The Bobcats ended any questions about the MAC East with its four straight wins over the course of their last five games. In this stretch, the defense has been questioned, allowing 28 points over the course of the last three clashes, but the offense has scored at least 29 points in all four victories and at times has really looked unstoppable.

The one thing that you know you’re getting with the Bobcats is a balanced offense. The team ranks in the Top 40 in the land in every major offensive category, and the team can kill you with a number of runners or receiving options. The Redhawks though, are completely one-dimensional. They really only throw the football, as they just can’t even remotely come close to 100 rushing yards in most games. QB Zac Dysert has been good for 3,141 passing yards this year, and he has great numbers with 22 scores against 11 picks.

Remember though, that the Redhawks are a lot better than your average 4-7 team. They have lost four games this year by six points or fewer, including dropping by 24-21 margins in back to back weeks against good teams. With the MAC East title in hand, the Bobcats might be looking ahead to the duel against whomever comes out of the MAC West. This one could be a particularly close game.

Week 13 NCAA Football Pick: Miami (OH) +9

We’re hanging right there at 20-24 ATS on the season after a respectable 2-2 ATS week, and this week presents yet another opportunity to inch our way back towards the .500 mark this year. Join us for our Week 13 CFL picks!

Montreal Alouettes @ Edmonton Eskimos Picks
Week 13 CFL Odds: Montreal -1.5
CFL Week 13 Lines: Over/Under 54

This is a dangerous spot for the Alouettes, as they could lose this game and suddenly be in a position where they might have to go on the road, or potentially even face the wrath of missing the playoffs if the Riders and Lions continue to get their acts together. Still, even with last week’s surprising loss to Winnipeg, we still think that this is the best team in the East Division, and we tend to think that it will show again this week on the road at Edmonton. Commonwealth Stadium has been a tough place to play this year, but we know that that Eskies just looked like second class citizens when these two played at Percival Molson Stadium two months ago, and not that much has changed since that point. Free CFL Picks: Montreal -1.5

BC Lions @ Saskatchewan Roughriders Picks
Week 13 CFL Odds: Saskatchewan -1.5
CFL Week 13 Lines: Over/Under 50

The battle between the two hottest teams in the league right now… The Riders and Lions have combined for seven straight wins SU and ATS, but they are both still fighting for their playoff lives right now. This one means more to Saskatchewan, knowing that it is a home game and knowing that the likelihood is there that a loss could leave it two games outside of the playoffs with just six games to go, certainly not a position that it wants to be it. QB Darian Durant is playing significantly better ball under Head Coach Ken Miller than he did under Head Coach Greg Marshall before the bye week, and that’ll be the difference this week for sure. BC will make it close, especially after winning last week in Calgary, but this one will prove to be just a hair too much. Free CFL Picks: Saskatchewan -1.5

Winnipeg Blue Bombers @ Toronto Argonauts Picks
Week 13 CFL Odds: Winnipeg -3
CFL Week 13 Lines: Over/Under 48.5

The season is probably effectively over right now for the Boatmen, but if there is one last charge to be made, this is it. QB Steven Jyles at least looks somewhat more comfortable now than he did two weeks ago, and in fairness to him, Toronto has played a horrifying schedule, and most of the teams that it is going against have suddenly caught some fire. Now, Winnipeg comes to town, fresh off of that win at Montreal last week to take a two game lead in the East Division. It’s a vintage sandwich game, though, as the Alouettes are on deck. The Bombers have to be thinking that this is an easy win this week, and if Montreal loses this week, the opportunity is there to basically lock up the East Division next week. Not so fast, Bombers. You have a lot of work to do in this one first. Don’t be surprised if a Toronto team that is just dying for the taste of victory again, pulls off the upset in this fishy looking game. Free CFL Picks: Toronto +3

Calgary Stampeders @ Hamilton Tiger-Cats Picks
Week 13 CFL Odds: Hamilton pk
CFL Week 13 Lines: Over/Under 54

The Stampeders are clearly the better of these two teams, and they have played significantly better ball on the road than they have at home this year for whatever reason, but they haven’t made the trip East to face the Tabbies yet. Hamilton is a significantly better home team than road team, and four of its five wins have come right here at Ivor Wynne Stadium. This is probably a make or break week for QB Kevin Glenn, who has QB Quinton Porter breathing down his neck for the starting signal caller job. He’ll get back on his feet this wee though, and lead the Ti-Cats to a big time win to get back to .500 over a suddenly questionable look Calgary team that has underachieved all season long. I am the Gridiron Great, and I have been handicapping the NFL for a number of years. I've learned the ins and outs of what it takes to beat the bookies at this game, and I know just how difficult it can be. Do you think you can beat me at my own game? Every week that you do, you'll be entered into a grand prize drawing at the end of the season for a $1,000 Oddsmaker Sportsbook account. You can also collect a $100 account from Oddsmaker just by having the most picks correct amongst Cappers Info readers, so long as you beat me!

There is no greater time to try to get into this competition than right now, as every week you beat me gives you another opportunity at that big cash prize at the end of the year. Let's get started right now with my Week 13 picks…

Buffalo Bills @ Minnesota Vikings (-5.5) – I know that the Vikes might be playing this one without RB Adrian Peterson, but how can I back a team that is allowing the most rushing yards in the NFL on the road against a great ground game? RB Toby Gerhart has all of the tools to be a special back in this league, and he'll make good on his start if he gets the opportunity. I know that the Bills haven't lost a game by more than three points in a month and a half, but all of that is going to change on Sunday, as the Leslie Frazier led Vikes are going to be able to take this one by two scores at home to at least keep a false sense of hope alive for a playoff bid. Rock and roll with Minnesota -5.5.

Cleveland Browns (+4.5) @ Miami Dolphins – I'm not so sure why I'm taking Cleveland +4.5 in this one, but I'll call it a gut shot. The Browns are a gritty, gritty team, and though they haven't been able to figure out how to string many wins (or covers, for that matter) together, they can certainly play on the road and win this game outright. I tend to get the feeling that QB Chad Henne is going to do just enough to win this game, and if that's the case, perhaps the Dolphins are going to win by exactly three points. You heard it here first.

Denver Broncos @ Kansas City Chiefs (-9) – I hate laying this many points with a Kansas City team that I'm not so convinced is all that good, but I am convinced that this is that bad of a matchup for the Broncos. This was a different scenario a few weeks ago when these two teams met at the Mile High Stadium, as there was a big heaping of revenge that needed to be served up for Denver on the Chiefs. Now, it's payback for the payback. Having already seen this passing game once, Kansas City probably won't be all that fooled, and as long as RB Jamaal Charles and RB Thomas Jones can keep the ball moving on the ground, there is no reason why QB Kyle Orton and company are on the field long enough to do that much damage. Lay the points and go with KC -9.

Washington Redskins (+7) @ New York Giants – Can someone please explain to me why on earth the Giants are in a position where they are always laying a TD at home against a reasonable team? I mean really, let's think this one out logically here. There are just too many injuries for New York to contend with right now, and it was very, very lucky to have beaten the Jacksonville Jaguars last weekend at home when it was, you guessed it, a seven point favorite. Now, I have a stingy Washington team that has proven it can win games in division, even on the road. Yep, I'll take the points and go with Washington +7 in a heartbeat.

San Francisco 49ers (+9.5) @ Green Bay Packers – The Packers are coming off of a fairly awful game against the Atlanta Falcons in which they just couldn't seal the deal. Now, they're coming home in a game that legitimately could be a postseason preview. The 49ers are still probably the best team in the NFC West, and they badly need to take a game like this to get some momentum going for the rest of the year to get to the head of the class. Green Bay isn't going to lose this one, but to win it by double digits seems like an awfully large task. Take the points and back San Fran +9.5.

New Orleans Saints (-7) @ Cincinnati Bengals – I can already hear your whining now. "But Gridiron Great," how are you going to lay seven points on the road with a team that hasn't played that well on the road against a team that really usually plays well at home?" Easy. Watch me. QB Drew Brees is going to rip this Cincinnati defense apart, and covering a TD is going to be as easy as holding the Bungals to about 20 points or so. No problemo. New Orleans -7

Atlanta Falcons (-3) @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers – I know that the Bucs have shown some fight in recent weeks, and I know that they really had a chance to win this fixture up in the Georgia Dome. And yes, I even know that the season is on the line for Tampa Bay and that it is probably going to be an incredibly sharp play. But here's what else I see. I see an Atlanta team that usually gets beaten by passing games, not running games, and I see a Bucs team that really just wants to use that short passing attack to avoid making mistakes. You're not going to beat QB Matt Ryan by just trying to avoid mistakes. There really are no other options here for me but to lay the points and go with Atlanta -3.

Oakland Raiders @ San Diego Chargers (-13) – Simply put, I'm not so sure that there is any team in the NFL right now that would be derailing the train that is that of the San Diego Chargers. This is just a well tuned machine that just continues to rip apart everything in its path. The Raiders could compete in this one, but I just don't see it happening. Somehow, QB Philip Rivers will find a way to throw for 300+ yards, and if that happens, RB Mike Tolbert will get his yards as well, and there's no way that Oakland is sticking within two TDs of a team that is coming up with 400 yards.

Carolina Panthers (+6) @ Seattle Seahawks – Gag me with a spoon, please… This the biggest dog game of the day, and it is one that is surely going to stink up the joint… especially if what I think is going to happen comes true. The first team to six in this game wins… and it might just be the Panthers! Go with Carolina +6.

Dallas Cowboys @ Indianapolis Colts (-5.5) – My gut feeling suggests that the carriage for the Cowboys is about to turn into a pumpkin and that the pumpkin for Colts is about to turn back into a carriage again. I don't care what form either team is in right now. QB Peyton Manning is only laying 5.5 points at home against QB Jon Kitna. Someone please tell me what I'm missing here… Indianapolis -5.5.

St. Louis Rams (-3.5) @ Arizona Cardinals – Only in the NFC West can you have one team go on the road and be laying points at the start of the season, cover the spread, and then come back home without any notable injuries three months later to be a 3.5 point underdog… Yet somehow, I have this strange trust in the Rams that we cannot ignore. QB Sam Bradford impresses me quite a bit, as I think the kid should be a Pro Bowler for the way that he has played in the second half of the season. Hey Derek Anderson, this is no laughing matter. Your team is going to get its butt kicked again. St. Louis -3.5.

Pittsburgh Steelers @ Baltimore Ravens (-3)Remember to make your tiebreaker picks in this game!!! This is a tough game that is going to be very difficult to make a call on. I'm just happy that I don't have to publically make a pick for the New England Patriots/New York Jets game (though for the record, I'd go with New York +3.5)… These two AFC North rivals are really just matched up dead evenly, just as they are seemingly each and every campaign. The confidence has to be brimming from the Ravens though, as they already have that last second win in Pittsburgh to bank on. Sure, QB Ben Roethlisberger is playing in this one and he was out of that one, but this game isn't in the Steel City either. Baltimore -3.
