A pair of 0-1 teams meet up in the Big Apple for Week 2 picks on Monday Night Football. The New York Giants will duke it out with the St. Louis Rams in one of the most important games of the week.

Week 2 NFL Matchup: St. Louis Rams @ New York Giants
Date: Monday, September 19th, 8:30 ET
Location: MetLife Stadium, East Rutherford, NJ
NFL Week 2 Lines: New York -7
Over/Under 44
Week 2 NFL TV Schedule: ESPN

Rams Notes: We’ve already made it clear that we think the Rams are winning this game in our upset picks, but we are now going to explain why this one is going to go past the number. QB Sam Bradford is coming off of a finger injury, and many think that he could really struggle to get the job done in this one. However, the Giants are dealing with such an awful secondary right now and we tend to think that this is a 300+ yard passing game for the former Oklahoma Sooner. There are a ton of concerns as well about the injuries to WR Danny Amendola and RB Steven Jackson. We already know that Amendola is out, but there is a question about Jackson. We have confidence though, that WR Brandon Gibson and RB Cadillac Williams can keep the ball moving. Don’t be surprised if TE Lance Kendricks has a nice game as well.

Giants Notes: As we’ve already mentioned, the Giants have some big defensively problems. DE Justin Tuck sat out last week against the Washington Redskins, but he’ll be back in the fold this week. His counterpart, DE Osi Umenyiora is still out of the lineup though, as are DB Prince Amukamara and DB Terrell Thomas (on IR with a knee injury). This just isn’t a deep enough team to be able to afford these types of losses, and if last week’s loss against the ‘Skins was any indication, this could be a long, long season until some of these players get healthy. QB Eli Manning is going to have to put the ball in the air quite a bit in this one, and against a secondary that, at times, had problems against the Philadelphia Eagles last week, this could be translated into plenty of points to say the least.

The Final Word: The Rams are going to get their three TDs in this game, and we wouldn’t be surprised to see them in the 30s when it’s said and done. New York will keep up; this won’t be a blowout. Expect over 600 passing yards between these two teams, and at least 50 points.

Week 2 NFL Pick: St. Louis/New York Over 44

NFL Football Prediction: St. Louis 31 – New York 23

NFL betting action is here again! Here at Cappers Info, we’re making our running tally of NFL picks this year, continuing with action on Sunday, September 18th!

Year To Date Record: 4-3 ATS

Upset Record: 2-2 +$50

Week 2 NFL Matchup: Baltimore Ravens @ Tennessee Titans
Date: Sunday, September 18th, 1:00 ET
Location: LP Field, Nashville, TN
NFL Lines: Baltimore -5.5
Over/Under 38
Week 2 NFL TV Schedule: CBS

Sorry, Tennessee. You just don’t cut it in this one. If the Titans had even an average quarterback, we’d love their chances at an upset. However, if QB Matt Hasselbeck can’t move the ball against the Jaguars, what chance does he have against the Ravens? We’ve already seen that Baltimore can run up and down the field against the Steelers, who arguably have the best defense in the league, and we’d be shocked if Tennessee held it to fewer than 24 points. That being said, we’re not so sure that anyone is scoring 20 against the Ravens right now, especially after forcing seven turnovers last week. Quoth the Ravens, never score.

Week 2 NFL Pick: Baltimore -5.5

Week 2 NFL Matchup: Kansas City Chiefs @ Detroit Lions
Date: Sunday, September 18th, 1:00 ET
Location: Ford Field, Detroit, MI
NFL Lines: Detroit -8.5
Over/Under 45
Week 2 NFL TV Schedule: CBS

As long as WR Calvin Johnson plays, we just don’t see any reason that the Lions won’t win this game and win it handily. QB Matt Stafford looked sharp last week, and now he gets to go against a KC secondary that was just flat out awful last week against Ryan Freaking Fitzpatrick and the Bills. Oh yeah, and S Eric Berry is out for the season as well. Detroit should be able to name its number against the Chiefs, and if that’s the case, don’t be shocked if this one turns into a wicked romp. We just don’t see QB Matt Cassel and RB Jamaal Charles being able to keep up when push truly comes to shove. Get ready to party like it’s 1997, Motown! After all, that was the last time you covered a spread as a touchdown or greater favorite.

Week 2 NFL Pick: Detroit -8.5

Week 2 NFL Matchup: Arizona Cardinals @ Washington Redskins
Date: Sunday, September 18th, 1:00 ET
Location: FedEx Field, Landover, MD
NFL Lines: Washington -3.5
Over/Under 44
Week 2 NFL TV Schedule: FOX

Two plays in this one, and both of them make a whole heck of a lot ot sense. About the only team that might have a secondary as bad as that of the Giants right now is Arizona, which allowed over 400 passing yards to QB Cam Newton in his first professional game. Needless to say, that just won’t cut it to say the least. QB Rex Grossman at least looked competent last week, and we know that he will have the ability to throw for at least 300 yards again in this one. That being said, QB Kevin Kolb looked relatively comfortable in his first game with his new team, and we expect that WR Larry Fitzgerald is going to have a rock solid game as well. Don’t be surprised if this one ends with a high scoring ‘W’ for the hosts.

Week 2 NFL Pick: Arizona/Washington Over 44 and Washington -3.5

Week 2 NFL Matchup: Houston Texans @ Miami Dolphins
Date: Sunday, September 18th, 4:15 ET
Location: Sun Life Stadium, Miami, FL
NFL Lines: Houston -3
Over/Under 48
Week 2 NFL TV Schedule: CBS

Pardon us as we wipe the drool off of the floor left by QB Matt Schaub and WR Andre Johnson. These two have to be absolutely salivating over the idea of going against a Miami defense that just allowed over 500 passing yards to QB Tom Brady and the Pats. However, we know that the key man might be TE Owen Daniels, who also has to be loving life after the Fins allowed 200 yards to the New England tight ends. The Dolphins can’t afford to lose this game, and knowing that, we expect just that to happen. The Texans are the real deal, and they’re going to prove it this weekend by wiping the floor with Miami.

Week 2 NFL Pick: Houston -3

Friday night football for college football picks heads to the Glass Bowl on Friday night for the one of the two games on the slate, as the Toledo Rockets try to beat the NCAA football odds against the Boise State Broncos.

Year To Date Record: 12-10 ATS

Upset Record: 2-4 +$60

Week 2 College Football Matchup: Boise State Broncos @ Toledo Rockets
Date: Friday, September 16th, 8:00 ET
Location: Glass Bowl, Toledo, OH
College Football Lines: Boise State -20
Over/Under 60.5
Week 2 College Football TV Schedule: ESPN

Boise State obviously needs to be impressive each and every week to be able to make it to the National Championship Game, even with so many teams that could be dropping from the ranks of the unbeaten this week. The Broncos did their job on the opening weekend of the season, knocking off the Georgia Bulldogs relatively handily before taking a bye last week, but they know that their foot must remain on the gas pedal, especially in a game like this.

The Rockets definitely served some notice last week though, going into the Horseshoe and only losing by five points against a stout Ohio State Buckeyes club. Though this is a bigger challenge, it is a game that is played in the Glass Bowl, which makes a huge difference for a team that is generally respectable at home.

The key is going to be whether QB Austin Dantin is going to be able to survive the pressure from the Boise defense or not. The Tallahassee native splits time QB Terrance Owens, and both have put up solid numbers over the course of the season. Still, neither completed even half of their passes against Ohio State, but we have to remember that that was one of the best defenses in the country.

Last year on the Smurf Turf, the Rockets were blown away, but we just aren’t so sure that that will be the case again in this one. Expect Toledo to hang around for a little while with the Broncos, and though in the end, it will be on the losing end, we wouldn’t be surprised to see it find a way to stay inside of this very, very hefty number. Boise State by two to two and a half scores seems just about right.

Week 2 NCAA Football Pick: Toledo +20

Thursday night football for college football picks heads to Starkville on Thursday night for the only game on the slate, as the Mississippi State Bulldogs try to beat the NCAA football odds against the LSU Tigers.

Year To Date Record: 12-10 ATS

Upset Record: 2-4 +$60

Week 2 College Football Matchup: LSU Tigers @ Mississippi State Bulldogs
Date: Thursday, September 15th, 8:00 ET
Location: Davis Wade Stadium, Starkville, MS
College Football Lines: LSU -3.5
Over/Under 50
Week 2 College Football TV Schedule: ESPN

This is one of these rough games in the SEC West, and these two teams are definitely going to be facing a tremendous uphill battle just to beat the other. For MSU, losing would drop it to 0-2 in the SEC West and would take it out of contention for the SEC crown in all likelihood. For the Bayou Bengals, this is a chance to stake a claim to the No. 1 slot in the nation if the Oklahoma Sooners end up getting beaten on Saturday.

Mississippi State’s defense really hasn’t played all that well this year. The team allowed 14 points against a Memphis Tigers team with virtually no offense whatsoever. Meanwhile, allowing 41 to the Auburn Tigers was unacceptable. The LSU offense isn’t exactly stellar either, but QB Jarrett Lee has had the unit at least putting up decent numbers, and decent numbers parlayed with a fantastic defense could turn into a national championship season.

QB Chris Relf has played well for the Dogs, as he has completed 61.1 percent of his passes for 397 yards with three TDs against just one pick on the campaign. Relf also ran for 106 yards last week on Auburn. The backs have been fantastic as well. RB Vick Ballard has 365 total yards of offense and a TD on the campaign. The problem though, is that the Bayou Bengals have a significantly better defense than what MSU has faced this year, as they have allowed just 215.0 yards and 15.0 points per game.

LSU has covered 11 of the last 14 in this series, and the favorite is 7-3 ATS over the course of the last 10 clashes. This is a bad spot for the Tigers though, and we tend to think that they are going to end up getting upset by a hungry Mississippi State team with a fantastic coaching staff, led by Head Coach Dan Mullen.

Week 2 NCAA Football Pick: Mississippi State +3.5

College football betting action is here again! Here at Cappers Info, we’re making our running tally of NCAA football picks this year, continuing with action on Saturday, September 10th, the first Saturday of the CFB season!

Year To Date Record: 9-3 ATS

Upset Record: 1-2 +$130

Week 2 College Football Matchup: San Diego State Aztecs @ Army Black Knights
Date: Saturday, September 10th, 12:00 ET
Location: Michie Stadium, West Point, NY
College Football Lines: San Diego State -9.5
Over/Under 54.5
Week 2 College Football TV Schedule: CBC

The Aztecs really could be the team this year in the Mountain West to watch that no one is talking about. QB Ryan Lindley is leading a veteran offense this year, and there is no doubt that it will be able to put points on the board in bunches against the Black Knights. There is definitely some concern about going all the way across the country for this one, especially playing at 12:00 ET, but we have no doubt that as long as it is on its game, San Diego State should be posting a double digit victory.
Week 2 NCAA Football Pick: San Diego State -9.5

Week 2 College Football Matchup: Toledo Rockets @ Ohio State Buckeyes
Date: Saturday, September 10th, 12:00 ET
Location: Ohio Stadium, Columbus, OH
College Football Lines: Ohio State -18
Over/Under 50.5
Week 2 College Football TV Schedule: Big Ten Network

We have a whole heck of a lot more confidence right now in the Buckeyes than most do, and we are convinced that this is the week that they really blow a team that could be decent out of the water. Sure, crushing the Akron Zips last week really didn’t do much for anyone, but we just don’t see the Rockets getting anything going offensively in this one. 27-7 is more than good enough for us, and though we don’t think that this game is going to be a work of art by any stretch of the imagination, we do think that it’ll be long over before the fourth quarter ever gets started.

Week 2 NCAA Football Pick: Ohio State -18

Week 2 College Football Matchup: UTEP Miners@ SMU Mustangs
Date: Saturday, September 10th, 7:00 ET
Location: Gerald J. Ford Stadium, Dallas, TX
College Football Lines: SMU -18.5
Over/Under 54.5
Week 2 College Football TV Schedule: FSN

We absolutely hate the fact that Head Coach June Jones is going to use both of his quarterbacks this week against the Miners, but we trust that he knows what he is doing. UTEP’s offense had to really come to play against the lowly Stony Brook Seawolves last week, something that no one really anticipated. Historically, this is a fairly high scoring series, though last year’s 28-14 dud was certainly not what we were expecting. Both of these teams move at any awfully quick pace, and we are sure that that is going to translate into at least 60 points come Saturday night.

Week 2 NCAA Football Pick: UTEP/SMU Over 54.5

Week 2 College Football Matchup: Virginia Tech Hokies @ East Carolina Pirates
Date: Saturday, September 10th, 3:30 ET
Location: Dowdy Ficklen Stadium, Greenville, NC
College Football Lines: Virginia Tech -17.5
Over/Under 63.5
Week 2 College Football TV Schedule: FSN

If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it! The ‘over’ train for the Pirates this year is clearly going to be rolling, especially with QB Dominique Davis chucking the pill all over the field. There were definitely some concerns about the Virginia Tech offense this year, but those problems were put to rest with a 66-13 romp over the Appalachian State Mountaineers at Lane Stadium last week. Last year, these two teams played to a whopping 76 points. We don’t need quite that many this time around, but the possibility is there that ECU’s defense is worse now than it was before, and that’s scary for the oddsmakers.

Week 2 NCAA Football Pick: Virginia Tech/East Carolina Over 63.5

Week 2 College Football Matchup: Nevada Wolf Pack @ Oregon Ducks
Date: Saturday, September 10th, 3:30 ET
Location: Autzen Stadium, Eugene, OR
College Football Lines: Oregon -26.5
Over/Under 63.5
Week 2 College Football TV Schedule: FX

The natural choice in this one seems to be Oregon and the ‘over’, but we are headed in a completely different direction. Head Coach Chris Ault isn’t a dumb man. He has had the entire offseason to prepare for this Oregon offense, which is likely not going to have backup RB Kenjon Barner in it this week after getting injured against the LSU Tigers in Dallas a week ago. Sure, the U of O is angry, and sure, this isn’t nearly the same Nevada team that went 13-1 last year and won the WAC. However, this is just so much of an overcompensation by the oddsmakers that it isn’t even funny. Don’t be surprised if the Wolf Pack keep this one at least remotely close for awhile with its defense and by uncharacteristically slowing the game down with its virtually entirely new offense.

Week 2 NCAA Football Pick: Nevada +26.5/Under 63.5

Week 2 College Football Matchup: UAB Blazers @ Florida Gators
Date: Saturday, September 10th, 7:00 ET
Location: Florida Field at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium, Gainesville, FL
College Football Lines: Florida -23
Over/Under 53.5
Week 2 College Football TV Schedule: FSN

The Gators might be a heck of a lot better this year than we anticipated. Head Coach Will Muschamp and Offensive Coordinator Charlie Weis definitely had this team do everything right against the Florida Atlantic Owls last week, and we don’t anticipate seeing anything but exactly the same this week against a terrible UAB side. The Conference USA reps might score… emphasis on the word, “Might,” but we know that they aren’t slowing down this Florida offense with QB John Brantley running the show. The Gators aren’t ready to be dropping 50 every week quite yet on lousy opponents, but we should only need to see them get into the mid-30s to win this game.

Week 2 NCAA Football Pick: Florida -23

Week 2 College Football Matchup: Boston College Eagles @ UCF Knights
Date: Saturday, September 10th, 8:00 ET
Location: Bright House Networks Stadium, Orlando, FL
College Football Lines: UCF -7.5
Over/Under 44.5
Week 2 College Football TV Schedule: CBC

Few realize just how good the Knights are this year, and even fewer realize just how important this game is to the community for UCF and in the Orlando area. Bright House Networks Stadium is going to be packed to the gills in what might be the second most important game that has ever been played here (short of the opener against the Texas Longhorns). UCF plays stout defense and has enough offense to really make life a living hell on the Eagles, especially after they struggled against the run against a team that really isn’t great at running the rock like the Northwestern Wildcats. Don’t be surprised if this one turns into a romp very, very early, as the black and gold have had this one circled on their calendar for quite some time.

Week 2 NCAA Football Pick: UCF -7.5

Week 2 College Football Matchup: Memphis Tigers @ Arkansas State Red Wolves
Date: Saturday, September 10th, 7:00 ET
Location: ASU Stadium, Jonesboro, AR
College Football Lines: Arkansas State -17
Over/Under 54.5
Week 2 College Football TV Schedule: Local

The Tigers are just terrible this year, and they proved it last week when they were absolutely blown out on their home turf against the Mississippi State Bulldogs. You have to go back quite a long way to find this team’s last win, and it certainly isn’t coming this week. Arkansas State has lost four in a row dating back to last year, but this is a game that it should win going away. QB Ryan Aplin will throw for at least 300 yards, and the Red Wolves will end up with at least 450 yards of offense, if not more. It’ll be 14-0 Arky State early, and don’t be surprised if this one ends up being one of these ugly 51-13 type of games.

Week 2 NCAA Football Pick: Arkansas State -17

College football betting action is here again! Here at Cappers Info, we’re making our running tally of NCAA football picks this year, starting off with action on Friday, September 9th, Week 2 college football picks!

Year To Date Record: 8-3 ATS

Upset Record: 1-2 +$130

Week 2 College Football Matchup: FIU Golden Panthers @ Louisville Cardinals
Date: Friday, September 9th, 7:00 ET
Location: Papa John’s Stadium, Louisville, KY
College Football Lines: Louisville -3.5
Over/Under 48
Week 2 College Football TV Schedule: ESPN

It’s not often that we see FIU on national television, but this is a team that can definitely make the most of this opportunity. The defense for the Panthers has been suspect at times, and we tend to believe that Head Coach Charlie Strong is going to have his Redbirds playing a whole heck of a lot better on offense this week than they did a week ago against Murray State. We’re really not sure why the ‘total’ of this one is so low. We’d like to think that these two teams can get into the 60s when push comes to shove, but only seven TDs are needed. QB Wesley Carroll and the Golden Panthers will keep up stride for stride with the ‘Ville on its home field and might be able to pull off the upset. The ‘over’ is the safer play.

Week 2 NCAA Football Pick: FIU/Louisville Over 48

Week 2 College Football Matchup: Missouri Tigers @ Arizona State Sun Devils
Date: Friday, September 9th, 10:30 ET
Location: Sun Devil Stadium, Glendale, AZ
College Football Lines: Arizona State -7.5
Over/Under 52.5
Week 2 College Football TV Schedule: ESPN

Are we the only ones not buying into all of this hype surrounding the Sun Devils this year? Normally when a team is unranked (or in this case, lower ranked) and favored, it is an easy play to make on the favorite. However, this favorite is so trendy that we just can’t go with the trends. The Tigers have to be better this year than what they showed against the Miami Redhawks last week, and if that’s the case, they could pull off this “upset.” Still, the Sun Devils would be happy just to get out of here with a ‘W’ of any kind. We’re not so sure that they even get the job done, but we know that we want Mizzou on our side with all of those points.

Week 2 NCAA Football Pick: Missouri +7.5

Thursday night football for college football picks heads to Stillwater on Thursday night for the only game on the slate, as the Oklahoma State Cowboys try to beat the NCAA football odds against the Arizona Wildcats.

Year To Date Record: 8-3 ATS

Upset Record: 1-2 +$130

Week 2 College Football Matchup: Arizona Sun Devils @ Oklahoma State Cowboys
Date: Thursday, September 8th, 8:00 ET
Location: Boone Pickens Stadium, Stillwater, OK
College Football Lines: Oklahoma State -13
Over/Under 65.5
Week 2 College Football TV Schedule: ESPN

The college football lines in this one have dipped from 14.5 down to 13, but we aren’t so sure that it is justified. The Wildcats were absolutely smacked in the Alamo Bowl last year from start to finish, and we’re not all that sure what QB Nick Foles and company were able to take from the experience.

The Wildcats only have one game to show for this season, a 41-10 win over the Northern Arizona Lumberjacks, but there really isn’t anything there to be all that happy about. It is the team’s first win since October 30th of last season, and it was also the first cover since a loss against the Oregon Ducks as 20.5 point underdogs just after Thanksgiving.

Meanwhile, Okie State’s offense picked up where it left off last season, dropping 61 points on the Louisiana Lafayette Ragin’ Cajuns. QB Brandon Weeden could throw for 5,000 yards this year, and if he can keep up with his ‘O’ the same way that he did against the Cajuns, this one could be ugly. Now, we’re definitely afraid that the defense allowed 34 points last week against a Sun Belt team. However, when push comes to shove, we think that Foles and the offense for the U of A won’t be able to keep up. This should be another high scoring shootout, but we definitely prefer backing the Pokes at home.
Week 2 NCAA Football Pick: Oklahoma State -13

Toronto Argonauts @ Winnipeg Blue Bombers Picks
Week 2 CFL Odds: Winnipeg -2
CFL Week 2 Lines: Over/Under 48

This one definitely isn’t going to be for the faint of heart, as there should be plenty of defense and a lot of punts. Toronto’s offense just isn’t all that great with QB Cleo Lemon calling the shots, and though the Boatmen were able to beat the Stampeders last week, we aren’t so sure that that wasn’t just a case of good fortune instead of fantastic play. We’re still high on Winnipeg this year, especially after watching it sneak away with that 24-16 win against Hamilton last week. The Blue Bombers will get more than 230 yards of offense this week against Toronto, especially in the home opener. Hopes will be as high as ever at Canad Inns Stadium after a romp of the Argonauts. Free CFL Picks: Winnipeg -2

Calgary Stampeder @ BC Lions Picks
Week 2 CFL Odds: BC -1.5
CFL Week 2 Lines: Over/Under 53

The Lions are definitely an improved team from the one that lost seven straight games last season at the outset of the year. They proved that they are good enough to at least hang around with some of the best in the league as they did last week when they hit the backdoor against the defending champs in a 30-26 loss. However, Calgary has to be piping mad about the fact that it was beaten by Toronto in a game that it dominated for the mass majority of the proceedings. Over 400 yards of offense always generates more than 21 points, and against a BC defense that really struggled at times against QB Anthony Calvillo and the Alouettes, we tend to believe that QB Henry Burris and company will be putting a big, big number on the board on Friday night. Free CFL Picks: Calgary +1.5

Montreal Alouettes @ Saskatchewan Roughriders Picks
Week 2 CFL Odds: Montreal -2
CFL Week 2 Lines: Over/Under 54

Don’t be shocked if this turns out to be the highest scoring game of the weekend. Last year’s clash here at Mosaic Stadium ended up being a barnburner, a 54-51 overtime victory for Saskatchewan over the then defending and eventual Grey Cup champs. That’s the only SU victory for the Green Riders in their last five tries against Montreal, and it has to be getting frustrating to QB Darian Durant and company. Speaking of frustrating, that’s exactly what last week’s bad loss here at Mosaic Stadium to the Eskies had to be. Durant turned the ball over four times last week, which really shouldn’t be much of a surprise if he does again on Saturday. However, Montreal is a beatable team, as BC showed last week. The Riders get the job done and end all of this frustration with what should be a great late victory thanks to some heroics by the former North Carolina Tar Heel. Free CFL Picks: Saskatchewan +2

Hamilton Tiger-Cats @ Edmonton Eskimos Picks
Week 2 CFL Odds: Edmonton -1.5
CFL Week 2 Lines: Over/Under 52

We just don’t buy the line adjustment here on the CFL odds by the oddsmakers. Had this game been played in Week 1, Hamilton probably would have been a 1.5-2 point favorite. Now, thanks to just one bad Hamilton performance and one great Edmonton performance, the script has flipped. We’re not ready to say that this one game from Week 1 makes the whole season. We still don’t buy that QB Ricky Ray has the ability to go 21-of-27 once again, and it is only a matter of time until a ton of pressure is mounted on his shoulders by QB Kerry Joseph, who would love to take over as the starting QB for the Eskies. We’ll reluctantly back the visitors for a mild upset on Friday night, as QB Kevin Glenn and the Hamilton offense just have to be better than they were against Winnipeg last week. Free CFL Picks: Hamilton +1.5

I am the Gridiron Great, and I have been handicapping the NFL for a number of years. Even if you don't beat me though, you can still collect a $100 account from Oddsmaker just by having the most picks correct amongst Cappers Info readers.

There is no greater time to try to get into this competition than right now, as every week you beat me gives you another opportunity at that big cash prize at the end of the year. Let's get started right now with my Week 2 picks…

Tampa Bay Buccaneers (+2.5) @ Carolina Panthers – Did anyone else watch that Carolina game last week against the G-Men and cringe? The Panthers just don't stand a chance this year once they are forced to throw the football. Jimmy Clausen could be making his debut this week, meaning the Bucs should be in for their first 2-0 start to the season in years. No one wants to watch this game, but Tampa Bay +2.5 is the pick even though the Bucs have been dominated in this series.

Pittsburgh Steelers (+5) @ Tennessee Titans – Woo, are the oddsmakers sipping the Kool Aid in this one! Who cares if the Titans beat the holy crap out of the Raiders last week? They're the freaking Raiders! Pittsburgh's defense looks scary, scary good right now. Troy Polamalu might be more valuable than Ben Roethlisberger. This could be a potential playoff battle this year, and these are the types of games that the men in black and gold just tend to find a way to win. Pittsburgh +5 for me, though I'm not so sure I need the points.

Buffalo Bills @ Green Bay Packers (-13) – Congrats to the Bills for finding a way to score a touchdown against the Miami Dolphins. If all they do this week is score one touchdown, this spread won't be close. Ryan Grant or not, the Packers -13 are the way to go in this one. Green Bay isn't struggling in its home opener against the worst team in the league.

Baltimore Ravens (-1) @ Cincinnati Bengals – Last year, it was considered an upset when the Ravens were beaten by the Bengals. This year, the oddsmakers are still drinking the Cincinnati Kool Aid as well. C'mon, we just saw these guys get trashed by the Pats. They're just not that good. Baltimore would love to get off to a 2-0 start on the road against potential postseason suitors, and it will do just that. Quoth the Ravens -1, covers galore!

Kansas City Chiefs @ Cleveland Browns (-2) – Let me just pull out my super duper ultra high tech supernatural Magic 8-Ball here… Ah, yes… Here we go. Cleveland -2 it is. It already hurt that much to put myself through typing this game, let alone actually trying to sort out which one of these two crappy teams are better.

Philadelphia Eagles (-4) @ Detroit Lions – Look, I love the Lions this year. They got screwed last week and should be 1-0 coming home. I know that the Eagles are going to be a super donkey play, and this totally goes against my natural way of thinking. But did anyone else realize just how good Michael Vick looked last week? Assuming Andy Reid lets him start over the concussed Kevin Kolb, I like the visitors to get back on track. Philly -4 is my NFL pick for this one.

Chicago Bears @ Dallas Cowboys (-8.5) – The Cowboys looked like poo last week, but so did the Bears. There's one difference. One of these teams actually is poo, while the other one is a legitimate playoff contender. Is it just me, or does something stink in the Windy City right now? The Odorless Cowboys -8.5 for me on Sunday.

Arizona Cardinals @ Atlanta Falcons (-7) – Speaking of teams that smell a little funny, what about the Cardinals? C'mon guys… You did everything you could last week to lose to the Rams, and now you think you're coming across the country and beating the Falcons? I don't think so. Atlanta could've beaten Pittsburgh last week very easily. The Falcons -7 says that they take care of business this week.

Miami Dolphins (+5.5) @ Minnesota Vikings – The ghost of Brett Favre isn't going to save the Vikes in this one. Sure, good ol' No. 4 might be able to pull off a ridiculous play or two in this one, but we like the way the Fins looked, even at their worst last week in the narrow escape of Buffalo. This is a winnable game for them, just as it was for the 49ers last year in virtually this exact same spot. It won't walk out with a win, but Miami +5.5 shows that the Dolphins can stick around in this one.

St. Louis Rams @ Oakland Raiders (-3.5) – The Raiders might've looked worse than just about any other team in the NFL last week, but let's stay realistic here. This is still the first ever start on the road for Sam Bradford. Generally speaking, that's not something that works out well for teams that are still really, really bad. I hate doing it, but I have to go with Oakland -3.5.

Seattle Seahawks @ Denver Broncos (-3.5) – Those of you that really think that the Seahawks are for real, say "Ay!"… *Crickets Chirping*… Hmm… You don't buy in either, do you? Pete Carroll will get a taste of what it's like to go on the road again in this league in the much anticipated home debut of Tim Tebow. Timmy makes his grand entrance, and the Broncos -3.5 proves to be the winning play against a team that was god awful on the road last season.

Houston Texans @ Washington Redskins (+3) – All together now: Who the hell is Arian Foster? He's the man that just ran the ball 33 times for 231 yards and three scores on the team that was favored to win the Super Bowl. Had the Texans lost last week, my perception of this game would be totally different. This is a long roadie for them, and going against a Redskins team that looks like it has a pulse this year could prove to be a real challenge. Go with Washington +3 and hope for the upset.

Jacksonville Jaguars @ San Diego Chargers (-9) – Once I saw the Chargers lose to the Chiefs on Monday night, I immediately said that I didn't care what the spread was. The Jags are terrible. They barely beat another terrible team last week. Though they are historically a thorn in the sides of the best teams in the NFL, they aren't going to be able to challenge the Bolts if this one. As long as it wants to, San Diego -9 is the play to make.

New England Patriots (-1) @ New York Jets – Here we go again… Rex Ryan is going to run his yap about how his Jets are being disrespected at home, being an underdog to this overrated punk of Patriots. He's going to mention how New York won this game last year and beat the holy crap out of Tom Brady and that his newly improved secondary will shut this team down and how his running game is that great and… oh wait… by the time he's done yapping, New England will have already walked out of the New Meadowlands with a 'W'. Screw the Jets. Go with the Patriots -1.

New York Giants @ Indianapolis Colts (-5.5)Remember to make your tiebreaker picks in this game!!! The Colts are coming off of that bad loss to the Texans, and though I tend to believe that the Giants do have the ability to hang in this one, something tells me that they won't. You just know that Peyton is sitting there in practice every day this week and telling his team about the struggles of the G-Men against the Panthers. Note to New York: This isn't the Carolina offense you're trying to take advantage of anymore… I'll wrap up the week with Indianapolis -5.5.
