UFC 133 Preview
Date/Time: Saturday, August 6th, 9:00 ET
Location: Wells Fargo Arena, Philadelphia, PA

Tito Ortiz (+350) vs. Rashad Evans (-440) at SportBet.com: This is the showcase fight for the Pay-Per-View this week, and we have a really good idea that Evans won’t let this fight go the full three rounds. This was supposed to be a match for the Light Heavyweight Championship, but Evans was stuck on the card after two other fighters backed out for various reasons. Ortiz is in over his head here, as Evans is beating everything in his path right now. That sterling 20-1-1 mark in MMA is just too good to overlook. UFC 133 Ortiz vs. Evans Pick: Evans by Submission

Yoshihiro Akiyama (+250) vs. Vitor Belfort (-300) at SportBet.com: No offense meant to Akiyama in this one, but we tend to think that this is out of his league. The loss to Michael Bisping was a solid one considering that it went the distance, but we just don’t see him competing here with Belfort, a man who just missed out on his chance to be the middleweight champ. UFC 133 Akiyama vs. Belfort Pick: Belfort by Unanimous Decision

Dennis Hallman (-125) vs. Brian Ebersole (+105) at SportBet.com: A very evenly matched fight here. Both of these men have had a ton of experience in the cage, and it is going to be tough to figure out which one is going to end up outlasting the other. There aren’t a lot of knockout victories or defeats in these two career, so expect a fight to go the distance. In this case, we really could see this going either way, so we’ll stick with the underdog on the UFC 133 odds. UFC 133 Hallman vs. Ebersole Pick: Ebersole by Split Decision

Constantinos Philippou (+140) vs. Jorge Rivera (-160) at SportBet.com: This could be a wakeup call for Philippou, who is really trying to make it to the big time stage here in UFC. Still, he was beaten by Nick Catone by unanimous decision in his UFC PPV debut at UFC 128. Rivera is just too strong here. Philippou has never been beaten in a fight that has stayed inside the distance. There’s a first time for everything. UFC 133 Philippou vs. Rivera Pick: Rivera by KO

Mike Pyle (+240) vs. Rory MacDonald (-280) at SportBet.com: If there’s a fight on the main card that reeks of a big upset, this is it. MacDonald does have an awesome 11-1-1 record in his career, but there really aren’t a heck of a lot of quality fights in the bunch. Pyle isn’t exactly the cream of the crop in the welterweight division, but he is definitely a capable fighter who could spring the upset if given the openings. Don’t be shocked if this one goes the way of the American over the Canadian. UFC 133 Pyle vs. MacDonald Pick: Pyle by Submission
