Sports Handicapping is very much a numbers game and yes, systems can be extremely useful in predicting expected outcomes. Nobody is saying that one system is the best and only way to bet a game. And if that is what you think and what comes to mind when you hear the word "system", then you are narrow-minded.
For example: Just like if you were to take a great baseball player such as Alex Rodriguez, and he is batting .230 at all star break, the numbers will tell you that he is going to have a much better second half.
Just like: If one system you are tracking averages 55% every year for a 10 year period and half way through the season the system is at 40%, the numbers will tell you that this system is due to improve. And if you like a pertiucular play based on however you like to do your basic handicapping and that same play fits the system in the second half during a time where the system starts to heat up, that's even more of a reason to play that game.
It's not only numbers, but it's common sense as well. If you track enough systems and play the right ones at the right times, you can be a very successful handicapper. Watching games may prove to be the most efficient way to handicap in your opinion. But, to put someone down for tracking a system is pretty ignorant and is not what handicapping is about. To talk about how you can beat any system on your own is not just ignorant but idiotic. We never put people down for watching and tracking systems on this forum. What exactly are you trying to prove?
