I apologize for the downtime this morning. You also may notice that some posts from yesterday up until the time of this post are also gone. This thread can be the official "Make Fun of Louie for Being a Complete Idiot" thread if you want. I really deserve it.

The reason for this happening is that I accidentally deleted the entire database and account that holds all the posts, member information, etc. The database was stored on the old domain account (thesportsboard.com) and I deleted this account because I thought that we no longer needed it.

I was ready to slit my wrists last night and almost broke down into tears as I thought that everything was completely gone for good. Lucky the company that I pay for our dedicated VPS that holds the site, stores a nightly backup of everything which i didn't know about. I really thought it was all gone. They were able to restore the database.

However, the latest back-up that they had was from May 13 @ 5AM (EST). So, we are going to be missing all posts from 5/13 @ 5AM until 5/14 @ 6AM. I apologize for my stupidity and I promise this will not happen again. this was the biggest mistake that I have ever made in the 7 years that i have been managing this site. I do have the current Survivor standings as of today as I posted them before it went down last night and I saved a copy before posting. Let move on and pick some winners. Best of luck today.
