I did a little research, and discovered that I'm done with that double header logic. You'd think that the two teams would most likely split, but the team that wins the first game wins the second almost 57% of the time, which makes this a bad bet in most cases, unless there is a really heavy underdog... the mets were hardly a dog here thus, this was a bad bet. Got carried away thinking a decent/good team like the Mets would win the second after losing the first. A testiment to me being new to this I suppose. Live and learn... I'll store that one away and remember it for next time.

On a different note, I want to take some time to say that John Lester's no-no last night in Boston was incredible. At a time when it seems everyone knows someone who is dealing with cancer he serves as a true inspiration. I'm hardly a Boston fan, but in an era of baseball surrounded by lying and cheating, its a uplifting and modivating story to hear of a 26 year old survivor going into the big leagues and do what he's done. I hope his success continues as he is a hero in the eyes not only Major League Baseball, but cancer patients around the world.

And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who would attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know my name is the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon thee.
