To all new members who are posting for the first time:

Please read this short introduction, go over these five basic rules, & abide by them during your time as a member in this community.

Nonsense on these forums is not tolerated, nor do we give any warnings to new members.

Notice For Services & Online Entrepreneurs:
If you own a handicapping service or website business, please see rules #1 & #2 immediately.

We feel this is the classiest & highest quality sports handicapping forum on the web (I don't make it that way, the members who regularly post here do) and this board is to be treated as such.

There are quality handicappers and very good people at this board who are here for following reasons only;

-To discuss sports & betting from a handicapper's/bettor's point of view (and share thoughts).
-To pick winners, while becoming better handicappers & sports bettors in the process.
-To participate in friendly competition & respectful discussion with good people.

We treat everyone here like friends here. We type and converse as if we're all talking to one another face to face. If you're intention is to be a jerk and treat people like crap anonymously from behind a computer or mobile device, don't even bother registering. If this is your goal, head on over to the other big sports betting portals that only care about their profits & sales (covers, SBR, etc...you know...the forums that sell you crap on every page of the websites). They'll be happy to have these type of members.

Just imagine this forum as if it were a small social gathering with your friends; as if you are hanging out, sitting around a card table, and watching the game....while deciding who to bet for the next game (or tomorrow's game) and sharing your picks and thoughts.

This will be a more enjoyable & productive/profitable place for everyone If you join this forum with the above details (and general rules below) in mind....

Rule #1 - No Selling AT ALL in Regular Forums: There is no promoting or advertising sportbooks, any other sports forums, or non-endorsed handicapping services. There is no reference to handicapping services or other site promotions allowed in the regular forums (Handicapping Service Forums Only). In our opinion, selling includes; creating user-names called "XXXX Sports" or "XXXX.com" which is not allowed. Selling also includes calling your posted picks "Free Picks" which is also not allowed as every pick our members post are free. We offer football service reports on gameday only in the service reports forum which has it's own set of rules (http://www.cappersinfo.com/forums/football-service-reports/34363-four-general-rules-football-service-reports-forum-read-before-posting-here.html#post103421). Discussion of services is only permitted in this forum. Discussion what service is playing what game is not for the regular boards. This is not that type of forum. We do our own handicapping at this board. This board is for handicappers & players who actually bet on the games that they post and want learn more about handicapping on their own. URL's are not allowed to be posted in member profiles or signatures. Spammers and link builders are not welcome. We have an eye for spammers. If your intention is to try and promote another website on this board (which includes sneaking links into your posts), then leave right now! Selling is not permitted on this board. If you are interested in advertising, you can contact the webmaster and admin by using the contact forms on this site.

Rule #1A - No Link Building or SEO Tactics: Spammers and link builders are also not welcome on this board. URL's are also not allowed to be posted in member profiles or signatures. We have an eye for all the different sneaky marketing tactics. If you are attempting to promote a website on this board by sneaking links into your posts, LEAVE NOW. If you run another sports forum or website and your idea is to mention your forum, website, blog, or chatroom enough times to get members to ask you about it, we will pick up on it. Again, this forum is for discussion of sports, picks, handicapping systems, betting strategies and other tactics. It is NOT for recruiting and/or promoting other betting sites.

Rule #2 - Attention: Rules for Handicapping Services: (Non services may skip this rule if this doesn't apply to you) Our "Cappersinfo.com Endorsed Handicapping Services" are the only users that are permitted to post on this board. Endorsed services are permitted to post free picks with promos in the "Endorsed Handicapping Service" forum of these boards ONLY. If you wish to promote a sports service, then you must become an endorsed handicapping service which includes membership at the Free Sports Picks Monitor (http://www.cappersinfo.com/monitor/freepicks.php). Again, if you are here to promote a sports handicapping service, then you must contact us (http://www.cappersinfo.com/forums/sendmessage.php) for details about becoming a "Endorsed Handicapping Service" on this site. Any handicapping service at all who attempts to promote in the regular forums outside of the "Handicapping Service" forum will be immediately banned and will not be allowed to promote here or post here again. We do not give out warnings on this rule. We do not tolerate spammers that come in here, choose not to read the rules, and think they are going to make a quick and easy dollar off of this site. Do not even try it. We'll have you banned within minutes.

Rule #3 - Respect our sponsors: If you are going to discuss sportsbooks and/or the book that you got your line at, we do prefer that you discuss the books that are listed as our sponsor sportsbooks. You are not limited to just discussing these books, but we ask that you try to play at these books if possible. Our sponsors are listed at the top of the site and links to reviews of these books are provided. There are also several threads on the forums with information about our top sportsbook recommendations.

We take a lot of pride in our sportsbook endorsements, make sure they are places that you can trust with your business. These sportsbooks are honest books that will pay their players when they win their bets. These are also books that will provide our members with top notch service. They are all solid and trustworthy books. These are the books that keep these forums alive by funding all projects and features of the site (as well as our contests). They are respectful of what we do here and we ask that you please do the same back to them.

We also work closely with these sponsor books and make sure any issues from our players are addressed. Therefore, if any Cappersinfo Player Status (http://www.cappersinfo.com/forums/showthread.php?t=24792) member has an issue or problem with one of our books, we will always personally assist in resolving the issue for them.

Rule #4 - Prove Your Skill By Example: Do not come in here and make claims that you are the greatest handicapper in the world and everyone should bow down to you. Do not be looking for people to kiss your ass because you post a few winners in your first 50 posts here. Nobody is going to believe that you are an experienced handicapper when you have posted a few short days of winners or shown the slightest hint of handicapping skill.

Note: Your past record at other forums, monitors, or before you started posting at this forum doesn't matter here. Don't come in here stating that you hit an absurdly large percentage of your plays on another forum before you started posting here. At these boards, you show that you can handicap on your own by posting at least one or two (or a lot more) full profitable seasons of picks; and by showing the other members that you have class. Respect is earned over the long haul here.

Rule #5 - You're not the best Going on a hot streak doesn't make you "the man" or give you the right to boss people around. Just like real sports when a coach tells you to act like you've been in the endzone before. Here you act as if you have been on a hot streak before (people will respect you if they believe you are used to winning).

The truth is, everyone is here to help one another. This board is not for bashing and talking trash. It's for quality sports handicapping discussion. Friendly handicapping competition is welcomed. We offer free contests with prizes where our members compete in a low-key, friendly environment. Good solid handicapping work is always noticed and obliged by other members. But do not expect special treatment for a hot week or month. We all are here to help one another and enjoy the games (as well as the world of sports betting and capping).

Rule #6 Deal With The Idiots The Right Way: If you have a problem with another member, think before you reply to his posts. There's a right way to handle a problem member. Send private message Louie or any other moderator with your concern. We'll be happy to address the issue quietly and respectfully to all parties. Do not take the matter into your own hands. Be patient with everyone and calmly/politely report any nonsense. Just treat others how you wish to be treated and you'll get a lot ou of your time here.

An interactive community held on the net (especially in this genre) can be a hassle for our admins and moderators. We sometimes deal with a lot of garbage posters (and dispose of the trash quickly and quietly), but we don't tolerate nonsense.

This is a board for adults (not 2 years olds). Please act like it. If behaving like an adult is a problem, then you are in the wrong place.

All new members are welcome. We very much look forward to having you as part of our community and we hope to assist in enhancing your sports betting experience; by making it more pleasant and profitable.

Welcome to the Cappersinfo.com Forums!!

Your Admin,
Louie
