Let me hear some comments on what you guys think on a possibly fantasy football league for the NCAA?? I'm thinking this could take off and be awesome. I'm putting together a website that would be geared to only Fantasy Sports along with Leagues for online gaming and things of that sort. With online gaming and fantasy leagues being as big as they've ever been, this could take off.

1. Does anyone know of a NCAA fantasy league to this date?
2. Would you be interested in participating in a NCAA league in the future?
3. Does anyone play online gaming and would be interested in a league for any sport online? that would start with only PS2 but would soon transfer over to Xbox and PC gaming.

Please post some thoughts.

I was in a College Fantasy Basketball league when I was in college. The first year, it was a pain in the ass because someone would have a Point Guard from some no-name school that scored 45 per game and you had to find stats for them. To combat that, we limited it to about 10 conferences. I think that could be carried over to football and work pretty well.

keep the ideas up and flowing this way...thats a good idea, we were just thinking about that (we as in the partner in this idea). The thing with football is that there aren't 750 Division 1 schools, there are only 118 i think. With that, the problem isnt as big...stats would be fine, the website manager that i hired would be running that portion and finding the stats, we have 5 ppl who get paid to do that and input them. So with all that, this is an actual business. I think it would be fun

The only real big difference I could see in doing a college football league is how the schedule works out. In the NFL, every team plays in Week 1 and every team plays in Week 17 with byes spread out during the season. College doesn't do that.

For example (and this is assuming you are talking a head-to-head league and not a total points league), if Matt Leinart was your QB and you were matched up against someone this week, you have your QB off. No big deal because you would use your backup. But, USC plays UCLA in their final regular season game next week and there are only 5 games on the schedule. So, do you cut the season off at this weekend and screw over the teams that have a player next week? That is something that would have to be worked out before the season or you would have a war on your hands.
