I am betting with my head here and not my heart. This reminds me of Tyson/Lewis where people were fooled into thinking an aged boxer who is past his time and hasn't been in the ring in a while can beat a younger and more talented and polished boxers. The only difference is Lewis was the likable guy and Mayweather is the villan here. The line moves in our favor because the public loves Oscar. This is a nobrainer for me. I don't think this fight will be close. No knockouts. Goes the distance and Floyd just commands the ring. Take Mayweather here. Don't be fooled by the hype. Oscar may have the power edge, but he won't land em'. Betting it small because I don't think boxing is even close to being on the "up n up" anymore. Pimps playgound.
"Pretty Boy" Floyd Mayweather -175
(438 to win 250)
Good Luck!

haha...thanks....
That fight wasn't all that great....
DeLaHoya could have beaten him if he were just a little more active...
But, it was as expected...

Oscar narrowly missed draw!
Sunday, May 6 2007
By Victor Perea
Judges Chuck Giampa (116-112) and Jerry Roth (115-113) scored the bout in favor of Floyd Mayweather. Tom Kaczmarek (115-113) scored it for Oscar De La Hoya. Roth scored the twelfth round for Mayweather, however, IF he would have scored the twefth round for De La Hoya, his card would have read 114-114 and the Golden Boy would have retained his WBC title with a draw. Both Giampa and Kaczmarek gave the last round to Oscar.

Mayweather won that fight. That judge who gave the fight to oscar should be banned from boxing.

curious what kind of numbers anyone saw on this fight. I had seen -130 in the afternoon here in Mexico and -150 on an offshore site...Louie did you have a better number than 175 available later? Someone is telling me the public bet Mayweather and I don't believe that is true. Please anyone post what they saw out there.

Mr Sports,
The majority of the money was on Mayweather..
I think the sharp money was on Floyd and the smaller public betting was on "Golden Boy"...
The average line moved from -160 up to around -190 or -200 for "Pretty Boy"...
More loot was definitely riding on Floyd. I think the Vegas books took a loss..
But, you can guarantee that the fight made them a shit load of cash in other ways (casino, ponies, and other sportsbook action losses) that weekend as Vegas was buzzing during Fight Night...
However, some offshore online books may have made a profit with the fight action...
That would be my assessment.

I read a story about how Vegas was pounded with De La Hoya money, and that makes sense since the fight I had seen -200 all week before and then as low as -130 during the day....even at -160 or -170 that means that it was bet down.
