Dearest National League of Major League Baseball;
We've been together for what, 23 years now? Last year wasn't one of your better years, I understand we all go through our down stretches and that's just the way things go sometimes. However, these past 2 months have shown me a side of you that I either never knew existed, or you've been hiding from me. You've become a unreliable, unpredictable and bland version of your former self. I'm writing you today because I think it's time that we broke this off. Financially you are destroying me, and emotionally I just take it anymore. What, because you have the Mets makes you so good? Look at who I'm with now, your enemy the AL, Tigers, Red Sox, Indians, Angels, Twins. You can't really compete with that can you?
I'll always cherish the memory's from our past, Kirk Gibson's home run in 88, Edgar Renteria's game winning single in 97, Luis Gonzalez's game winner in 2001....but I honestly can't stand you anymore, I'm sorry it had to end this way.
