well, that fight was kinda disappointing. I can't believe HBO had Hatton ahead after 6 rounds! We must have been watching the same fight.

Hatton was close after 6 on my card. I had Mayweather up 58-56 at the point and gave Ricky two rounds. In no way, at any point, was he doing enough after 6 rounds to take the title from the champ. In the late rounds Floyd just look fresher and looked like he was prepared to go the distance. Hatton looked drained in the late rounds. The better fighter took control of the fight and finished off this over-hyped Brit. Now all those Brits who were booing the U.S. National Anthem can go back where they came from.

agree and agree. I had the same score after 6 myself. Hatton was obviously the more aggressive fighter, but that's completely irrelevant when all of those punches are being blocked. After that late hit when Floyd was caught in the ropes, it was over, Hatton kinda lost his head at that point.

I'm kinda glad. I didn't want to have to watch another fight with those ignorant and annoying British assholes. If anyone beats Mayweather, let an American be the one to do it..

I just wonder where Floyd's head is at, he did say that he's "bored with boxing". I know he's retired and come back before, so we very well could be waiting a long time for another fight from him. Meanwhile, Jones v Trinidad is about 5 weeks away.

Jones v TrinidadI have no interest in watching old Roy Jones fight another aging fighter who he knows he could beat. Roy Jones has done that throughout his career. Just sit and watch the field. Then, pick and choose fighters that he knows he can beat without risking his titles or his "pound for pound" claim. If you go through all the fighters that Roy Jones beat, I guarantee that the average sports fan wouldn't recognize more then 2 or 3 names (with one of them being Tarver who beat him twice). He's still a phoney in my book. I never could stand Roy Jones.

However, Pavlik / Taylor 2 does interest me. They are the undisputed number 1 and number 2 of the middleweight class and their first fight was outstanding. The rematch will not dissapoint. I will happily pay for this fight. I just don't understand how Pavlik's title belts that he took from Taylor aren't on the line in the remtach. But, I guess that's boxing these days.

Don't get me wrong Louie, I can't wait for Pavlik/Taylor 2, but it's still 3 months away. And I don't fully have a grasp on the belt hierarchy in boxing either, might as well be the BCS for all i'm concerned.

Whether you like Jones or not, it still has the potential to be a very good fight IMO.

Maybe yur right. Maybe it will be a good fight. But, if that is a PPV event, you're gonna want your money back.

agreed, I wouldn't pay for it either.
