Well I don't know about you, but this season flew by. Although it was not a banner year for me, I really enjoyed the season and it story lines, etc.

It is Super Bowl Week, and I am sure everyone here has a friend or friends that want to make a bet. We that bet daily or weekly or often are the ones that are sought out by the causual fans when they want to bet the Super Bowl or Kentucky Derby, etc.

Just please remember that it is one game of many. A game you may not have bet in week 17 because there were games you liked better that day. I suggest to exercise some discipline and don't feel compelled to bet the game. Your bookie is not paying extra because it is the Super Bowl. You bet 11 to win 10 just like always and there will be betting oppurtunities on Monday and literally every day of the year.

I read every year that Gamblers Anonymous gets more new visitors every Monday folllowing the Super Bowl. The truth is you can bet all those new members had the losing team on Sunday, but the problem was created much sooner. There are lots of folks out there that are "degenerate" gamblers, and some of them will win the Super Bowl.:)

I work with a book, and my boss always says GA is only for guys that lost their last bet. If they won their last bet, they wouldn't be there. He is pretty much a "simpelton" but he is right on on his analysis. There are plenty of folks not in GA that should be.

For the record I don't have any afiliation with GA and don't even know where the closes office is for me.:)

Bottom line is enjoy the game, have fun, and don't over bet it. It is just a game.

I look forward to participating with many of you in the next year and hopefully for many more.

Good Luck to all my gambling friends as always,

Amen and great advice. No need to kill youself or risk an entire profitable season on one game.

Right on the money Mr Sports.I might add that Domestic abuse cases are the highest on SuperBowl Sunday when compared with any other day of the year.Unfortunately the guys who need this advice probably won,t read it here. The boards tend to attract your every day gambler rather than the ones who go overboard on a particularly big game.Like New Years Eve for the everyday drinker SuperBowl Sunday is for the everyday gambler,Ametuers Night.
