This thread and bet came to my mind as I voted for McCain today. A political form of middling I guess.

This was another election where the electoral vote (3 to 1) doesn't come close to telling the story. Obama won by approx 2 million (its not over yet). This is the second major election in a row where there have been real discrepencies between what happened and what could have happened.

I also think the voting process in this country is messed up. In a world where you can bet on a European soccer game with your cell phone, you have to vote for president by pulling a rusty lever, or punching a hole in a card. It doesn't matter what your major political beliefs are, that system is terrible. Not to mention I ended up waiting 45 minutes in line. Just wanted to share some thoughts...

I agree. Once again not everyone who could have voted got the chance too. But, Obama wins, end of story.

Maybe he will legalize online gambling....but I doubt it...
