Playing this total small as the over has been tough to come by so far this season, but any game goes over tonight, this'll be the one!

(NHL) NY Islanders@Atlanta

1* Over 6 +110

The Isles have seen the over in both games so far this year, one a win and one a loss. After Snow gave up 6 goals on just 20 shots in game 1, he was pull for DiPietro who had to stop just 11 shots to shut the Caps down the rest of the way. Next time out, he stopped all 13 shots from the inept Buffalo offense, while his team scored 6 goals to give him the win. But he's had it easy so far, stopping just 24 shots over 2 games, as he normally faces 28 per game. When he finally gets tested, I think we'll see the real Rick DiPietro emerge. Including his two games this year, the Isles are 4-11-2 when DiPietro makes a road appearance. Even with his shutout win the other night, DiPietro is 6-20-3 in 29 career starts, with a 3.27 GAA and .882 SP. Pasi Nurminen heads up the Thrasher goaltending unit, last year's worst with a collective .890 SP. He has never fared well against the Isles. In 5 career appearances, he has a 4.04 GAA and .869 SP, his worst marks against any team he's faced more than once. Atlanta allowed 284 goals last season, by far the worst D in the NHL. The Isles gave up 231 goals last year, 2nd-most of any playoff team. These two teams have already shown scoring ability this year, and they should be able get at least 3 each tonight. The over is 11-2 in DiPietro's last 13 games, and 8-0 in his last 8. The over is 10-4-1 in the last 15 meeting between the Isles and Thrash.
