What's up, guys! Quiet in here today. I know it's all about college football on Saturdays, but there are 14 NHL games tonight!

Here are two of my plays...

(NHL) Toronto@Montreal

2* Montreal +110

Good spot to catch this home dog. Although Toronto has owned this matchup in recent years, they are ripe for the picking tonight. Their offense is already struggling, and they will now be without Alexander Mogilny for this one. The Leafs have just a 1.33 GFA on 5.6% shooting. Belfour, in goal tonight, is also having a rough start in 3 games this year. In 18 career games against Montreal, he has a 2.74 GAA and .889 SP. Everything is just the opposite for the Canadiens right now. After taking a loss to Ottawa to open the season, they've really turned it on. Yanic Perrault and Mike Ribeiro are leading an offense that has 14 goals on the year, with 12 of those in just their last 3 games. Jose Theodore has been in net for every game. He has a tidy 1.75 GAA and .921 SP so far. He got the 4-0 shutout when these two teams met in Toronto a week ago. The Leafs may be looking for revenge, but just don't have the means to get it right now.

(NHL) Vancouver@Minnesota

2* Over 5 -105

The Nucks haven't hit the over yet, going 0-3-1 against the total, despite scoring 11 goals for themselves. We all know they have even more firepower, and they'll get a chance to reveal it tonight. They should come out fast and look to seal the victory early in order to give themselves a chance to finish this road trip on a high note. Additional motivation should come from the fact that the Wild knocked them out of the playoffs last year. Minnesota is allowing 3 goals per game right now. They'll start Roloson in net tonight for the first time since he gave up 3 quick goals to the Sharks before getting replaced by Manny Fernandez. That dropped his record to 0-2-0 this year, and his save percentage to just .886. Vancouver is going with Hedberg tonight. He has a 2.41 GAA and .902 SP versus the Wild. They'll test him more than the Oilers did in his last game. He had to stop only 14 shots all night to get the shutout win. These two teams got a little nasty with each other last year in the playoffs, so we should see the ice open with some 4-on-4 action tonight. The over is 9-2-3 in the last 14 meetings, including 4-0-3 in the playoffs last year.

GL!
